Preschoolers are the most effective age to start fire safety education. But, if the education contents are inappropriate, they may form the wrong habit to preschoolers. Many educational contents of fire safety in Korea are not so obvious in the principle and order of priority about what to do during fire and they often contain unnecessary contents to preschoolers such as how to use fire extinguisher. This paper has analyzed fire safety awareness of preschoolers and teachers and, based on the results, has claimed unsuitability of training on how to use fire extinguisher and has suggested the improvement of fire safety education.

The usual distinction made in the literature is between decision facilitating and decision influencing. Because time only runs one way, both uses of cost information are problematic. In the first instance, a cost description (measurement or estimate) is provided to decision makers before a decision is made. Unfortunately, costs can only be measured after the fact. This means that cost analysts must estimate the costs of the alternatives under consideration. In some cases, measured cost is a reliable predictor of future costs; in other cases it is not. Regardless of its reliability, however, it is all we have or can have. Consequently, managers must be informed as to how their performance will be measured and how measured performance will affect outcomes they care about -- promotion, pay, esteem, etc. I will outline the basic approaches to cost measurement and then show how cost measures can be used to facilitate and to influence decisions of the railway industry.

In large station with high density traffic, trains is hardly controlled by CTC but by station dispatcher because CTC has difficulties in monitoring all states of affairs happening within the station such as departs and arrivals of many trains from different lines and shunting trains between yards and platforms, etc. Therefore station dispatcher has to make quick decision about how to schedule all trains including trains to arrive and depart before long. And such decisions become harder when an unexpected delay occurs. This study suggests a mathematical model and algorithm about how to detect in advance and resolve efficiently the conflicts occurring within a station and it will be shown how to reduce delay using our approach by means of analysing the schedule of ChyungRyangRi station.

The tradition seniority systems of this country stand in the way to be more competitive in personnel sector especially . The purposes of this paper are to search the effective ways and methods in introducing and operating Job-performing Qualification System(JQS), one of the personnel systems based on human capability. To meet these purposes, various subjects - how to classify job groups, proper job grades number, how to define job grade, up-grading criterions, how to design the relations between personal rating system and JQS, and between compensating system and it - are reviewed and commented.

This research's purpose is to investigate follows. 1. How do middle school teachers recognize the mathematical communication globally? 2. If we classify the modes of mathematical communication as written, spoken, graphic and active ones, how much do teachers use them and how do the students' communication ability come as teachers judge? 3. What are teachers' thinking, the present condition and the future indication for the application of mathematical communication with computer? 4. Do teachers evaluate their students' communication ability? If then, what is the assessment rubric of student's communication ability? The results are analyzed by frequency analysis including percentile and free writings are arranged by similar responses. The result of this study is that global recognition for mathematical communication, current state for students' concrete performance of mathematical communication, and assessment of mathematical communication & proposals are very lacking.

Neurological impairment produces cognitive, communicational, physical, and social deficits. Music has the power to help stroke patients to regain speech and overcome other deficits. Rhythm and melody help to rehabilitate memory, muscles, breathing, etc. This article introduces how music therapy approaches stroke patients and helps them. It focuses particularly on speech; however, music affects not only one part of the body but the whole body. In cases in which music therapy is used, we can see how music helps with stroke patients and how to achieve these goals.

There is a rich diversity of galaxy properties and we are starting to understand some of the drivers for differences between galaxies. Much progress has been has been made in the last decade, thanks in large part to massively multiplexed surveys using single fibres, but we still lack a complete picture of how galaxies are built. I will discuss how large-scale integral field surveys can address a number of the outstanding questions in the field, starting with the current SAMI Galaxy Survey, and then looking towards the Hector instrument that will carry out integral field surveys of order 50,000-100,000 galaxies. With SAMI we can start to address how mass and environment influence galaxy structure and history, and I will discuss examples such as the environmental quenching of star formation and the distribution of angular momentum. With larger samples afforded by Hector we can go beyond simply mass and environment, to separate galaxies based on their merger or accretion history, as well as their larger-scale environment.

In this study aims is water supply criteria relations for evaluating the possible performance of water resources systems. These measures describe how likely a systems is to fail(reliability), how quickly it recovers from failure(resiliency), and how severe the consequences of failure may be(vulnerability). The performance of a criteria evaluating with a variety of operating policies illustrates their use. As a result study frequency reliability and quantitative reliability is linear relations and quantitative reliability is high reliability for equality water supply policy. As reliability and vulnerability are in inverse proportion to each other. Therefore these criteria relation analysis can be for Imha dam to variety water supply policy.

Multilayer perceptrons(MLPs) or feed-forward neural networks are widely applied to many areas based on their function approximation capabilities. When implementing MLPs for application problems, we should determine various parameters and training methods. In this paper, we discuss the design of MLPs especially for pattern classification problems. This discussion includes how to decide the number of nodes in each layer, how to initialize the weights of MLPs, how to train MLPs among various error functions, the imbalanced data problems, and deep architecture.

Purpose: Although feminism has been actively discussed and applied to nursing in Western societies since the 1980s, it is little known among Korean scholars as well as Korean nurses. This article explores the use of feminist perspectives in nursing science in other developed countries and suggests how feminism could be applied to nursing science in Korea. Method: The literature related to nursing and feminism were reviewed in terms of nursing practice, education, and research. Result: This article describes what feminism is and how feminism and nursing have evolved historically over time in other countries, especially in Western societies. In addition, it discusses how it can be applied to nursing practice, education, and research in Korea. Conclusion: Accepting feminist perspective in Korean nursing could benefit in empowering nurses by valuing nursing, by raising self-esteem of nurses, and by raising the consciousness of socio-political realities. Eventually it could benefit in changing and developing nursing science in Korea.
