This study was designed to examine the effects of housing values on housing satisfaction model. The empirical model of this study was based on the Goulart(1982). Data were collected through questionnaire survey, and the sample consisted of 285 households in Kimhae. Housing values were grouped into four clusters : the health and convenience value, the personal and social value, the location value, and the economic value. The major findings were that 1) the concordance between values and the actual housing conditions contributes significantly to the prediction of housing astisfaction, and 2) the control variables including sociodemographic and economic characteristics and housing values themselves did not directly influence on housing satisfaction.

At first, the program which applied the sustainable design techniques should be preceded, and when planning of interior space, the management method and space planning on the facility and the system should be properly considered in order to enhance the user's health. So to speak, in order to keep and promote the space user's health, those proposing methods such as the followings have been suggested likely as, consideration regarding to air-ventilation and lighting, usage of environmental-friendly material, use of life drainage, custom-typed plane planning, utilization of balcony space, storing furniture and systemization of kitchen space, themed bathroom, inducement of indoor-gardening, and so on. It is expected that this could be applied very usefully to the space plan of the small-scaled housing-type accommodation under planning to develop or renovation.
This study aims to examine the effect of housing environment on single mothers' health and to find out how to improve their health and housing environment. For the purpose, this study analyzed the Single-parents survey carried out by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2015. The results are as follows. When residential functions such as mining, heating, and noise are not fulfilled among the physical characteristics of the residential environment, single-mothers are more likely to feel unhealthy. Among the socio-economic characteristics of housing, people who live in public rental housing are more likely to feel unhealthy than those living in own house. And people who have excessive household debt are less healthy than those having no debt. Socioeconomic characteristics of housing environments had a significant effect on depression of single-mothers. The purpose of this study was to gather baseline data to be used for improving housing environments and developing welfare policies for low-income groups by identifying the similarities and differences in housing environmental conditions and in the usages of community welfare services between the dwellers of Da-Ka-Gu rental housing and those of permanent rental apartment. This multifaceted diagnosis currently being undertaken can be utilized through the lowincome housing planning and welfare policies as the basis for future policy formulation. Self-administered questionnaires and interviews were carried out by 212 dwellers in Da-Ka-Gu rental housing (104) and permanent rental apartments (108) in the city of Gwangju from July to October of 2010. The main findings are as follows: 1. The dwellers living in both Da-Ka-Gu rental housing and permanent rental apartments are satisfied with their housing environment. Specifically, a higher satisfaction with transportation and a lower satisfaction with neighbor's inter-relationships were evident. The dwellers of Da-Ka-Gu rental housing appear to be more satisfied with community spaces and housing management than those of the permanent rental apartments, whereas the latter appear to be less satisfied with the noise of the housing complex than the former. 2. Of the community welfare service programs, a higher usage is shown for meals service, free health screenings, home repair, and after-school learning programs among all residents in the two housing types. In particular, for the residents of Da-Ka-Gu rental housing, the children's education and parent education programs are more popular, whereas for those of the permanent rental apartments, the housekeeping services and health services utilization are highest.

The purpose of the study was to examine the housing needs of the elderly who lived in rural area and suggest the planning directions of the housing for the rural elderly. The subjects were 192 elderlies who lived in the rural area in Gyeongnam and Chonbuk. They were selected by using the stratified sampling method. Also the interview method was used for collecting the data. The results were as follows: 1) Most of the rural elderly had some problems in their health. Thus, the housing for them should be planned on the basis of their health conditions. 2) The rural elderly had active interaction with their neighborhoods. Therefore, the housing for them should be planned for maintaining this active relation. 3) The rural elderly has lived in their housing for long time and wanted to live there as long as possible. This implies that the concept of 'aging in place' should be considered as one of the Important design issues in the rural housing for the elderly. 4) Even though many rural elderlies didn't know about the planned housing facilities for the elderly, they had intentions to live in there if they were provided in rural area. 5) The rural elderly preferred the monthly payment system or the life long payment system as the payment system of the planned housing facilities for the elderly. Also, they wanted that facility to be maintained by the government. 6) The detached housing type or three story townhouse type which is located in each rural village as small size would be desirable as the housing for the rural elderly. 7) The 10-30 pyung would be desirable as the size of housing unit. Also, 2-6 persons per room in case of sharing a bedroom. 8) Ondol-bang would be desirable however the size of the bedroom should be determined by considering using the bed.

Satistics employed for the analysis were frequencies means and logistic regression analysis. As the number of children and the children's age increased the housing consumption increased. There were many factors such as husband's education satisfaction of health and family relations monthly income wealth debt owning a car home ownership duration of residence and the satisfaction with housing contributing to housing consumption and propensity to move. Those with home ownership higher wealth higher satisfaction with health higher expenditure, longer duration of residence and higher satisfaction with housing tend to move more frequently.
