국소환기 설계의 전산화에 관한 연구 (A Study of Local Ventilation Design on PC Programm)

  • The purpose of this study is to computerize the design of single source for a duct work system which is essential for the improvement of working places. There are different types of hood, such as general hood, push pull hood and canopy hood. And out of these three types, general hood and canopy hood were used as subjects of this study. The software used here was Quattro Pro 123 programm, and the hardware was IBM PS/SX(type 5510-SK4 S/N 83-05164). And the results are tabulated in

    . All of the hazardous factors of working places, except for physical factors, such as noise, vibration, illumination and etc, are control measurement related. In order words, workiong places that have problems with toxic gas, mist, fume, dust, odors, biological factors or wetness can be improved by means of the local ventilation design. However, the reqires very complicate processes, and in the case of canopy hood, particularly, one runs into difficulties due to frequent discrepancies generated from calculations through many processes. Recently, progress of the computer hardware technics has been dazzling, and also the software is development rapidly. As proven in the results of this study, it is good that designs for industrial ventilation systems are readily available for easy use. It is hopeful that young scholars will develop easier and quicker methods for local ventilation designs in the future.

  • 미기압파에 의한 터널출구소음저감을 위한 고속철도 터널형상개선에 관한 연구 (A study on tunnel entry design considering the booming noise resulting from micro-pressure wave)

    • In general, the booming noise intensity at tunnel exit is strongly related to the gradient of the compression wave front created by high speed train entering the tunnel. This paper presents some results in relation with the compression wave front produced when the high speed train enters a tunnel. Four kinds of tunnel entrance shape with real dimensions were studied to investigate the formation of compression wave front inside tunnel by train entering tunnel. Computations were carried out using three-dimensional compressible Euler equation with vanishing viscosity and conductivity of fluid. According to the reslts, the flow disturbance occured at tunnel entrance were eliminated by tunnel hood with same cross sectional area. The compression wave front is formed completely at 30-40m from tunnel entrance. The maximum pressure gradient of compression wave front is reduced by 29.8% for the inclined tunnel hood and reduced by 21.5% for the tunnel hood with holes at the top face with tunnel without hood. The length of the inclined hood is 15m and the length of the hood with holes is 20m.

    • PURPOSES : In Korea, over 70 percent of the land consists of mountainous and rolling area. Thus, tunnels continue its upward trend as road network are extended. In these circumstances, the importance of tunnel has been increased nowadays and then its safety investigation and research should be performed. This study is focus on confirming and improving the safety of tunnel. On tunnel hood, sunglare effect can irritate driver's behavior instantly and this can result in incident. METHODS : The study of this phenomenon is rarely conducted in domestic and foreign papers, so there is no proper measure for this. This study analyzes the driving environment of the effect of sunglare effect on tunnel hood. RESULTS : Traffic accidents stem from complex set of factors. This study build the Traffic Accident Prediction Models to find out the effect of sunglare effect on tunnel's hood. The independent variables are traffic volume, geometric design of road, length of tunnel and road side environment. Using these variables, this model estimates accident frequency on tunnel hood by Poisson regression model and Negative binomial regression model. Although Poisson regression model have more proper goodness of fit than Negative binomial regression model, Poisson regression model has overdipersion problem. So the Negative binomial regression model is used in this analysis. CONCLUSIONS : Consequently, the model shows that sunglare effect can play a role in driving safety on tunnel hood. As a result, the information of sunglare effect should be noticed ahead of tunnel hood so this can prevent drivers from being in hazard situation.

    용해공정의 캐노피 후드 성능 개선에 관한 수치 해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Performance Improvement of Canopy Hood in Melting Process)

    • 본 연구에서는 현장조사를 통해 주물 제조 사업장의 일부 용해공정에 적용되고 있는 캐노피 후드(canopy hood)의 흡인 성능을 검토하였다. 또한, CFD model을 이용하여 유해대기오염물질 포집 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안들을 대한 유동장 및 압력장을 비교 및 평가하였다. Case-2(플랜지 부착+이중 후드)의 경우 포집 성능 측면에서는 개선이 가능하지만 후드 정압이 기존 구조보다 약 70% 이상 증가할 것으로 예측되어 현장 적용성이 좋지 않을 것으로 나타났다. 흡인효율을 개선하기 위해서는 case-3(플랜지 부착+이중 콘 부착)의 형상이 가장 적합할 것으로 판단된다. 이는 개구부 중앙에 이중 콘(cone)이 설치되어 후드 가장자리로 유량을 집중시킬 수 있으며, 또한 후드 중앙으로 상승되는 흄(hume)은 콘의 기울기에 의해 정압 상승의 요인 없이 제어할 수 있기 때문이다.

    • Kitchen hood was used exhausting contaminants and heat during cook. But many people do not use it easily because of the noise. Therefore this study was measured the noise when kitchen hood was working according to air flow mode. Because there are no measuring and analyzing standards in the setting house, it was referred to KS C 9304(Korean Standard). The result was shown the higher sound level than 45dB. Also it was compared the air flow that measured in the house and specified the brochure during the operation of the hood.

    작업환경 개선을 위한 산업환기 시스템 설계 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Industrial Ventilation system Design Software for the Improvement of Industrial Environment)

    • Industrial ventilation is a crucial engineering measure to protect workers from hazardous airborne contaminants. Designing a ventilation system is not an easy task. To solve this problem, many U. S. computer programs and softwares have been developed. In Korea, asoftware, called as VPMC, was developed by Korea Industrial Safety Corporation. But VPMC could not stand alone since it can be used to design not a hood, but a ventilation system. In this research, therefore, a preprocessing software was developed. It can be used to design general ventilation system, canopy hood, open surface tank hood. The program was written in Microsoft Visual Basic. In near future, this software will be incorporated into a total package software which can be used to design a whole ventilation system.

    자동차 후드의 정강성을 고려한 위상 최적화 (Topology Optimization of a Vehicle's Hood Considering Static Stiffness)

    • Topology optimization of the inner reinforcement for a vehicle's hood has been performed by evolutionary structural optimization(ESO) using a smoothing scheme. The purpose of this study is to obtain optimal topology of the inner reinforcement for a vehicle's hood considering the static stiffness of bending and torsion simultaneously. To do this, the multiobjective optimization technique was implemented. Optimal topologies were obtained by the ESO method. From several combinations of weighting factors, a Pareto-optimal solution was obtained. Also, a smoothing scheme was implemented to suppress the checkerboard pattern in the procedure of topology optimization. It is concluded that ESO method with a smoothing scheme is effectively applied to topology optimization of the inner reinforcement of a vehicle's hood considering the static stiffness of bending and torsion.

    • Purpose of the present is to investigate the food configuration at a tunnel entrance for reducing the micro pressure wave that is generated according to train speed. Two configurations were examined for tunnel of 0.5 km length. The experimental results show that a slit cover hood installed at the entrance of the tunnel reduces the maximum micro pressure wave by 41.2%, and a configuration with a slit cover hood installed at the entrance and a 45$^{\circ}$slanted portal at the exit of the tunnel suppresses it by 47.7%.

    • This paper studied a method for minimizing the noise level emitted from range hoods. Range hoods were used for discharging various hazardous materials generated during household cooking to the outdoors, thus preventing them from being diffused through rooms in the house since they are the main cause of air pollution within dwellings. This study assumed that static pressure was not applied at the discharge outlet of the range hood. As such, the range hood was installed on the wall without the use of a connecting duct or other connectors attached to its discharge outlet. The vibration having the greatest influence on the noise level was determined by measuring the vibration at the front side of the hood where the acoustic omission was at its maximum. A method was then proposed to reduce the noise by simply suppressing the vibration at the vibrating part.

    • The purpose of present study is to investigate for reducing micro pressure waves generated according to train speeds $(240km/h{\sim}380km/h)$ through tunnels with countermeasures as followings; the hood configuration in tunnel entrance. We developed hoods for tunnel of 0.5 km length in the condition of tunnel cross-section area of $107m^2$ on the slab track. According to the results the maximum micro-pressure wave is reduced by 41.2% for the slit hood installed at the entrance of the tunnel and reduced by 47.7% for the slit hood installed at the entrance of the tunnel and the $45^{\circ}$ slanted portal at the exit of the tunnel
