가입자 망 기술의 발달과 멀티미디어 통신 필요의 증대로 댁내에서도 다수의 PC 와 정보가전기기를 하나로 묶는 홈네트워크가 구축되고 있으며, 이를 외부와 안전하게 연결하기 위한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 따라서, 초고속 외부망과 내부의 정보가전망을 하나로 연결하기 위한 홈게이트웨이가 개발 및 보급되고 있으며 홈게이트웨이 시스템에서 소프트웨어 혹은 하드웨어 방식으로 네트워크 보안 기능을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 하드웨어 방식을 사용하지 않는 임베디드 시스템 기반의 VPN 시스템은 대부분의 처리 시간의 암호화에 소요함으로 실제적인 사용자 요구사항에 정의된 통신 속도에 미치지 못한다. 이 글에서는 IPSec 기반 VPN 보안 기능을 모토롤라의 MPC180 보안 프로세서를 사용하여 하드웨어적으로 홈게이트웨이 시스템에 구현하여 그 성능을 분석한 결과 소프트웨어적으로는 만족할 수 없는 사용자 요구사항인 통신속도를 만족할 수 있음을 보였다.

In this paper, we introduce the concept and construction of a web-based bidirectional remote laboratory system. In this configuration, students build and test circuits using internet at home, and the circuit components and experimental equipments at the school are interconnected following student's design. This means that it is possible to choose components, build circuits, connect experiment equipments, control the equipment. and receive measurement results at home in real-time. Labview and Java are used to control this system efficiently and to provide user-friendly environments. Computer-based function generator, DMM, and oscilloscope are used and switch module is used to change interconnections. It was found that a system adopting computer-based instruments, which include PXI/CompactPCI modules and PC plug-in board, provide better performance than that adopting stand-alone instruments connected with GPIB. It is believed that, if this system is installed, the real experiments, not the virtual experiments based on simulation, can be done at home effectively, resulting in revolutional change in engineering education.

This paper focuses on identifying which appliance is currently operating by analyzing electrical load signature for home energy monitoring system. The identification framework is comprised of three steps. Firstly, specific appliance features, or signatures, were chosen, which are DC (Duty Cycle), SO (Slope of On-state), VO (Variance of On-state), and ZC (Zero Crossing) by reviewing observations of appliances from 13 houses for 3 days. Five appliances of electrical rice cooker, kimchi-refrigerator, PC, refrigerator, and TV were chosen for the identification with high penetration rate and total operation-time in Korea. Secondly, K-NN and Naive Bayesian classifiers, which are commonly used in many applications, are employed to estimate from which appliance the signatures are obtained. Lastly, one of candidates is selected as final identification result by majority voting. The proposed identification frame showed identification success rate of 94.23%.

The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) standard enables easy sharing of multimedia contents in the home network environment. However, with the proliferation of mobile computing devices such as smartphones and tablets, the need for media sharing to expand beyond the boundaries of the home network arose. In this paper, a method for accessing DLNA based home network from the mobile environment is proposed. The proposed method uses mobile Virtual Private Network (VPN), and enables easy access to the resources in the home network from the wireless mobile environment.

The purpose of this study was to find out the amount of the household work time related to food and examine the factors affecting the time accomplished by married female home-based workers and on-site workers. The data were collected from 165 married female home-based workers, and 292 married female on-site workers in Pusan and Kyungnam province, by the self-administered questionnaire. frequency distributions, Cronbach's alpha, t-tests, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression analyses were conducted by SPSS/PC+. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) both married female home-based and on-site workers spent more time on household work related to food in a weekend than in a weekday, (2) in a weekday, occupation was significantly related to the amount of time that married female home-based workers spent on food household work, whereas age and occupation were significant for married female on-site workers, (3) on Saturday, the significant factors of the time spent on food household work were the number of family and occupation for married female home-based workers, and educational level, occupation, sex role attitude, existence of children of 6 years or under, and existence of elders/disability within the family for married female on-site workers, and (4) on Sunday, for married female home-based workers, the number of family, occupation, and the level of market good substitution had significant effects on the amount of time spent on food household work, and for married female on-site workers, age, the number of family, occupation, sex role attitude, work hours on Sunday, and the level of market good substitution were significant.

Since patients with strokes occupy a high priority among patients for home nursing, the development of guidelines for such nursing is required and the needs of these patients should be reflected in the guidelines. Therefore, this study was done to identify the content and levels of home nursing for patients with strokes and to utilize the data in developing the most effective home nursing guidelines for these patients. The level of A, D. L. and the ability to control upper extremities were measured, and through a questionnaire. the needs for home nursing and related variables were also evaluated. The subjects for the study were 121 patients, 58 inpatients and 63 home care patients who had had a Stroke. Data collection was done from September 1996 to January 1997. The collected data were analyzed utilizing SPSS /PC, and the results are as follows : 1. Home nursing need of inpatients The priority order of home nursing needs for inpatients was : "Training in emergency treatments and how to cope with a stroke"(2.28+1.06), next, "Explanation of diets as limited or recommended", and last, "Nursing care for sleeping Problems". 2. Home nursing need home of patients The priority order of home nursing needs for home patients was : "Care for the paralyzed side" (2, 89+.34), next, "Maintenance of right posture and how to change position" (2.87+.34), and last, "Counseling on sex". 3. Comparison of the levels of home nursing needs between in patients and home patients The results of analyses of home nursing needs according to causes were grouped into seven categories : and t-tests of the seven categories showed significant differences between the two groups in all categories, that is, the level of home nursing needs were significantly higher for home patients than for inpatients in all categories of home nursing. 4. Level of home nursing needs by characteristics The variables that have affected the level of home nursing needs for these patients were sex, profession, level of education, accompanying diseases, paralyzed position. A.D.L. levels and ability levels in coordinating upper extremities. There variables, displayed a reverse correlation with the level of home nursing needs, and the degree of correlation was high. In conclusion, the above results, show there were differences in the priority order of home nursing needs between inpatients and home patients : but the content of home nursing needs wanted by these patients was similar. Meanwhile, the levels of demand for home nursing was exceptionally higher on the part of home patients than inpatients. Although it is realized that nursing guidelines for home nursing needs in all items need to be developed, there is also a necessity to guidelines in accordance with priority orders, and with consideration of the factors that affect the level of home nursing needs. of the factors that affect the level of home nursing needs.

As home network is increasing to use, home network industry is developing too. Also, it is to be a popular subject in the network's topics. In this reasons, home network become a important thing because home gateway function is working between access network and home network. In the home network, it relates on the personal computer, home pad, and digital television. But, home gateway is not prepared standard point about techniques. Therefore, many kind of technique want to try for developing of home gateway's functions. Usually, we use ID/PASSWORD method in network control system. But, we found a lot of problems about classical network system while we experienced Jan/25 big trouble. We are considering about that home network system are using same network net. Therefore, seriously we have to check about security and safety at the home network's environment. This report focus on the home network's environment to control for using and efficiency and then it wants to find ways to protect from the internal and external attacks. Existing ID/PASSWORD method it used a electronic signature and the security against the approach from of external watch, the MIB structure of role base and the security of the Home network which leads the authority control which is safe even from the Home network inside it strengthened it used compared to it proposed.

This study was conducted to provide basic policy of home care service centered on early discharging patients from general hospitals. This subjects for this study were 291 discharging patients from university hospital in Chon-ju area. The data were collected during the period from July 1, 1993 through July 16, 1993. The measurement tools were developed based on 9 categorized human responses patterns suggested by NANDA and modified by the research team. The collected data were processed with SPSS/PC + frequency, percentage and mean were used for analysis. From the study, the following summerized conclusions have been drown. A. For home care needs, the mean was $19.0\%$ of possible to total 100 and in a range of $6.2\~39.5\%$ 1. Exchanging Pattern: $17.8\%$ 2. Communication Pattern: $8.6\%$ 3. Relating Pattern : $15.4\%$ 4. Valuing Pattern: $13.4\%$ 5. Choosing Pattern : $6.2\%$ 6. Moving Pattern : $22.9\%$ 7. Perceiving Pattern: $16.5\%$ 8. Knowing Pattern : $30.8\%$ 9. Feeling Pattern : $39.5\%$ B. Response to home care services, 1. $85.6\%$ of subjects didn't hear about home care service. 2. Over $90.0\%$ subjects approved home care service. 3. $83.5\%$of subjects were willing to use home care service. 4. $85.9\%$ of subjects will follow to early discharge order. On the basis of this findings, further studies are required to compare home care needs between patients, their family and community health people groups. And also required to develop to information strategies for home care nursing service.

Generally home networks are based on wired network and wireless network. This makes customers be capable of using electric home appliances and full-duplex multimedia services and controlling the machines without any restrictions of place or time. Now that the scope of home security is being extended, the home networks can be formed with not only personal computer but also home automation, electric home appliances, and etc. But this causes many of attacks of invasion and damages. Therefore in this paper we suggest the SSIP(Secure Session Initiate protocol) model for solving those problems. The SSIP model is able to provide an efficient authentication and reduce the time of session re-establishment and set-up by adding ability of SIP authentication to Cluster-to-Cluster environment performed on home gateway.

In recent, researchers in the field of Bioinformatics need to analyze thousands of genome sequences efficiently according to introduce of new analysis methods and technologies such as genome expression microchip. This rapid growth in the field of bio-engineering needs computing resources to analyze rapidly for genome sequences, but it does not introduce the computing resources due to an enormous investment expense. The core factor of this study is integrated environment based PC-Cluster system & high speed access rate up to 155Mbps, continuous collection system for bio-information at home and abroad. The results of the study are establishment & stabilization of information and communication infrastructure, establishment & stabilization of high performance computer network up to 155Mbps, development of PC-Cluster system with 32 nodes, a parallel BLAST on Cluster system, which can provides scalable speedup in terms of response time, and development of collection & search system for bio-information.
