We propose a mechanism for monitoring load in quality of service (QoS)-enabled wireless networks and show how it can be used for network management as well as for dynamic pricing. Mobile network traffic, especially video, has grown exponentially over the last few years and it is anticipated that this trend will continue into the future. Driving factors include the availability of new affordable, smart devices, such as smart-phones and tablets, together with the expectation of high quality user experience for video as one would obtain at home. Although new technologies such as long term evolution (LTE) are expected to help satisfy this demand, the fact is that several other mechanisms will be needed to manage overload and congestion in the network. Therefore, the efficient management of the expected huge data traffic demands is critical if operators are to maintain acceptable service quality while making a profit. In the current work, we address this issue by first investigating how the network load can be accurately monitored and then we show how this load metric can then be used to provide creative pricing plans. In addition, we describe its applications to features like traffic offloading and user satisfaction tracking.

Currently, there are many subscriber access networks: PSTN, ADSL, Cellular Network, IMT200 and so on. To these service providers that provide above network service, it is important that they authenticate and authorize legal subscribers and account for their usage. At present, There exist the several protocols that Support AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) service : RADIUS, Diameter, TACACS+. Nowadays, RADIUS has used for AAA service widely. It has been extended to support other access network environment. So, we extend RADIUS to support environment of Mobile IPv6. Mobile IPv6 uses IPsec as a security mechanism, basically. But, IPsec is a heavy security technology for small, portable, mobile device. Especially, it is serious at IKE, the subset of IPsec. IKE is a key distribution protocol that distributes the key to the endpoints of IPsec. In t:lis paper, we extend RADIUS to support environment of Mobile IPv6 and simplify the IKE phase of IPsec by AAA system distributing the keys by using its security communication channel. Namely, we propose the key distribution method for IPsec SA establishment between mobile node and home agent. The suggested method was anticipated to be effective at low-power, low computing deyice. Finally, end users feel the faster authentication.

오늘날 급격히 증가되고 있는 광 대역 멀티미디어 서비스, 초고속 대용량 인터넷 서비스 등을 가입자에게 제공하기 위해서는 광 가입자망 기반의 네트워크 구성이 필수적이다. 최근 효율적이고 경제적인 광 가입자망 구축을 위한 기술들이 빠르게 개발됨에 따라 효율적인 네트워크 구성이 가능하게 되었다. 이중 대표적인 기술로 PON(Passive Optical Network)을 이용하여 ONU(Optical Network Unit)를 공유하는 방식의 WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing)-PON 기술이 있으며, 이를 이용한 FTTH(Fiber to The Home)시스템에 대한 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 전송 시 출력 광 파워에 따라 데이터 변조 전류를 자동으로 최적화 시킬 수 있는 방법에 관하여 연구하였다.

Over the years a password has been used as a popular authentication method between a client and a server because of its easy-to-memorize property. But, most password-based authentication services have focused on a same password authentication scheme which provides an authentication and key exchange between a client and a server with the same password. With rapid change of communication environments in the fields such as mobile networks, home networking, etc., the end-to-end security allowing users to hold different password is considered as one of main concerns. In this paper, we consider a new authentication service of how each client with different own password is able to authenticate each other, which is a quite new service paradigm among the existing services. This new service can be used in the current or next generation network environment where a mobile user in cell A wants to establish a secure end-to-end channel with users in ceil B, C, and D using only their memorable passwords. This end-to-end security service minimizes the interferences from the operator controlled by network components. To achieve this end-to-end security, we propose an authentication and key exchange service for group users in different realm, and analyze its security in a formal way. We also discuss a generic construction with the existing authentication schemes.

사물인터넷은 기존의 유선통신을 기반으로 한 인터넷이나 모바일 인터넷보다 진화된 단계로 인터넷에 연결된 기기가 사람의 개입 없이 네트워크를 통해 언제 어디서나 서로 정보를 주고 받는다. 특히 사물인터넷 기술은 고령층 홈 케어나 만성질환 치료 및 관리 등 의료서비스 부문에 융합되어 의료비 절감 및 서비스 품질 향상에 기여할 것이며 헬스케어 산업의 패러다임 혁신이 될 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 IoT에 사용되어지는 기술과 IoT을 기반으로 한 국내외 의료서비스 적용 사례를 비교 분석하였다.

In Vessel Traffic Service, the management information on marine traffic control is almost transported by VHF. It is so difficult to exchange a lot of the related information necessary for marine traffic control exactly and in real time. Aiming at improved visualized data transporting network, we examine the methods for transporting and displaying the data on marine traffic controls. In this paper, we design the information networks established by broadcasting method and by internet method using home page in order to manage marine traffics in Masan port.

VOD, HDTV, 라이브 스트리밍 등의 서비스가 늘어나면서 FTTH(Fiber To The Home)의 고비용과 설비문제를 해결하기 위한 대안으로 PON(Passive Optical Network)이 부상하고 있다. 가입자망의 구조가 다양하게 진화하고 광 이더넷 기술이 발전하면서 가입자에게 최적의 대역폭을 할당하기 위해 서비스별 대역폭 할당방식이 요구된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 사용자의 대역폭 요구에 따라 OLT(Optical Line Termination)가 각 ONU(Optical Network Unit)에게 서로 다른 방식으로 대역폭을 파장별로 적절하게 할당하는 파장 다중 분할 Ethernet PON모델에서 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 모델을 제시하고 구현한다. 또한, 이더넷 지연에 대한 분석을 통해 모델의 효율성을 제시한다.

이 논문은 스마트폰의 3G/4G 통신 모듈을 이용하여 가정과 사무실의 DLNA 네트워크에 직접 접속하는 방법을 보여준다. 이를 통해 사용자는 활성화된 무선 통신 모듈의 종류에 상관없이 DLNA 서비스를 보다 편리하게 활용할 수 있다. 이 기능의 구현을 위해 이 논문에서는 소형기지국인 펨토셀을 사용하였다. 스마트폰의 3G/4G 통신 모듈이 가지는 IP 주소체계와 지역망의 IP 주소체계의 차이로 발생하는 문제들은 LIPA 기법을 적용하여 해결하였다. 또한 DLNA 프로토콜 구동에 필요한 멀티캐스트 패킷 처리 기능을 터널링 기법을 적용하여 구현하였다. 그 결과 스마트폰에서 활성화된 무선 통신 모듈의 종류에 상관없이 DLNA 서비스의 사용이 가능해졌다. 설계 결과는 상용 WCDMA 펨토셀에 적용하여 그 적정성을 입증하였다.

It is essential to investigate the structure and the main characteristics of BSN (Bio-Sensor Network) platform in built smart healthcare environment while designing healthy housing facilities. For this study, WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) data transmission technologies have been employed with medical sensors, and optimal medical devices would provide various Web 2.0 services by connecting to the WiBro network. The BSN platform normally recognizes in surroundings of WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) or WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network), and it is possible to manage sensor nodes by utilizing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (REpresentational State Transfer). In addition, the feature of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for mobile gateway is also included for being adapted to huge network structure. Finally, BSN platform will play a role as important clues for developing personal WSN service models for smart healthy housing properties.

본 논문은 IP-USN 기반의 홈 네트워크 환경을 위한 FRA(Fault Recovery Agent)의 설계와 구축을 기술하였다. 이 시스템은 FDA와 FSA, FRA로 구성되어 있다. FDA는 IP-USN 기반 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위하여 훅킹 기법으로 결함을 감지하는 에이전트이다. FSA는 IP-USN 기반 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위하여 결함을 공유하는 에이전트이다. FRA는 IP-USN 기반의 홈 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 원격 교육을 위한 소프트웨어 결함을 복구하기에 적합한 에이전트이다. 이 시스템은 세션의 진행 과정 중 세션의 미디어 서비스 인스턴스가 비정상적으로 종료되는 경우에 세션의 진행을 중단할 수도 있지만 허용하는 한 미디어 서비스 인스턴스를 재 활성화시켜 사용자에 대한 보호를 하는 경우에 필요하다. FRA에 대한 모델링만을 통해서 본 시스템에 대한 범위를 한정한다.
