A wireless access point is used for all communications in the infrastructure mode wireless home networking, including communication between mobile nodes in the same service area. When a mobile station in the infrastructure mode wireless home networking moves into a dead zone, the communication between the mobile station and the access point is disconnected. To solve this problem, the existing wireless home network platforms focus on the ad hoc mode wireless home networking. However, the performance of an ad hoc network is poorly decreased when the number of mobile participating in the ad hoc network increases. In addition, although the ad hoc routing technique is necessary to support seamless communication of mobile nodes, the existing routing protocols, such as AODV and DSR, do not consider that a wireless channel state could affect performance significantly. Therefore, we propose a wireless home networking platform based on the ESCOD (End-to-end Seamless multi-hop COnnection based on Dual network mode) technique incorporating the VLR (Virtual Link Routing) scheme that supports end-to-end seamless connections. Extensive experiments show that the proposed wireless home networking platform incorporating the VLR scheme outperforms wireless home networking platforms based on the AODV and the DSR routing protocols respectively in terms of low packet transmission failure rate, fast packet transmission time, high TCP performance, and a wider coverage area of wireless home networks.

In general, IoT(Internet of things) designate the intelligence technologies and services which interact all necessity information between human and things, things and thing and things and systems with all things connecting through the internet based. The smart home in present of IoT environment fuses the daily supplies/equipment which needs to use for the private life with the internet of things that is the fruit of the converged business through all most private consumption related in vastly. The concept of smart home has been built around early 2000s due to the spread of high speed internet and advanced of smart electronics and internet, furthermore influencing by the enhancement of wireless network and smart devices, it is advanced as a smart home within the internet of things environment. Smart home service inside the house which most closely implemented with personal life is being developed and advanced in various forms. These developments may exert a positive effect, but if it does not resolve the security issues for the smart home service, then it may cause a big plague of privacy and personal life.

This paper proposes a FTOG(Fault-Tolerant Object Group)-based recovery services through replicated objects. In the distributed system, the fault of the object component may cause an entire system failure, evidently raising the service breakdowns. Therefore, this paper proposes recovery services with the replicated objects in case of fault occurrences. Moreover, applying the FTOG model to a virtual home network simulation, we verify the consistency maintenance and the service reliability of the proposed model.
It is expected that per-user customized services are widely used in next generation Personal Communication Network. The ultimate goal for personalized service is the Virtual home Environment (VHE) providing ´same-look-and-feel´ services for the subscriber wherever he roams to. To provide personalized services for each call, per-user service profiles are frequently referenced, so efficient service profile management is essentially required. To realized the VHE, typically two schemes, can be employed; One is Intelligent Network based service control and the other is a full replication scheme that always replicates profile in user´s current zone. The first scheme is referred as Central scheme and th second scheme is the modified replication scheme of IMT-2000, we refer to as Follow-Me Replication Unconditional (FMRU). Since the Central scheme only depends on the service cal rate and the FMRU is merely dependent on the movement rate, it is apparent that FMRU scheme outperforms the Central scheme if the call to mobility ratio (CMR) is large, and vice versa. In this paper, we propose a new service profile replication schemes, Adaptive Follow-Me Replication (AFMR) that determine replication automatically according to the user´s CMR. We compared the performance of the AFMR with the non-adaptive Follow-Me Replication unconditional on Demand (FMRUD) scheme. Performance results indicate that as the CMR of a user changes AFMR adapts well compared to the existing schemes.
The purpose of this study was to identify the types of social networks of urban housewives according to different network composition patterns and to analyze the structural and functional characteristics of identified types. The data used in this study were collected from 589 full-time housewives residing in Taejeon city. The major findings are as follows: 1) The social networks of housewives in urban nuclear families were classified into eight types: the kin network, the non-kin network, the kin-centered network, the friend-centered network, the neighbor-centered network, the associate-centered network, the parallel network, and the decentralized network. 2) The structual characteristics (size, density, homogeneity, duration, proximity, frequency, closeness, direction) varied according to the type. The kin network type and the non-kin network type showed extreme degrees in network characteristics. The parallel network type and the decentralized network type showed an average level of network characteristics. The kin-, friend-, neighbor-, and the associate-centered types showed network characteristics of an intermediate level between the single-category types and the decentralized type. 3) The average levels of function of social network types were different in only two(service support, interference) of the six function areas(emotional support, service support, material support, information support, social companionship support, interference). The average level of service support by the non-kin network type was higher than other types. The average level of interference by the kin-centered network type was higher than other types, and that of the neighbor-centered network type was lower than other types. On the other hand, the total amount of function performance of social network types was different in all function areas. The total amount of social support given by the decentralized network type was greater than the other types. The total amount of interference given by the non-kin network type was smaller than the other types.

Internet of Things(IoT) is electronic devices and household appliances use wireless sensor network in environment of high speed wireless network and LTE mobile service. The combination of the development of Internet and wireless network led to development of new forms of service such as electronic devices and household appliances can connect to the Internet through various sensors and online servers such as a Home Network. Even though Internet of Things is useful, there are problems in Internet of Things. In environment of Internet of Things, information leakage could happens by illegal eavesdropping and spoofing. Also illegal devices of wireless communication interference can cause interfere in Internet of things service, physical damage and denial of service by modulation of data and sensor. In this thesis, it will analyze security threats and security vulnerability in environment of mobile services and smart household appliances, then it will suggest plan. To solve security issues, it is important that IT and RFID sensor related companies realize importance of security environment rather than focus on making profit. It is important to develop the standardized security model that applies to the Internet of Things by security-related packages, standard certification system and strong encrypted authentication.
In the future, the ubiquitous computing environment will provide users with context-aware services, intelligently interacting with omnipresent resources and surrounding environments at any location and time. Therefore, the ubiquitous computing environment requires context-aware applications in order to gather and analyze context information in various situations. However, existing context-aware applications have mainly focused on providing services and adapting themselves to users based on user related contexts. But this environment requires not only user related contexts but also Quality-of-Service (QoS) related contexts. In this paper we propose a frame-work for supporting user-oriented QoS in ubiquitous environments. The proposed approach adopts a semantic ontology and a neural network algorithm in order to reason about explicit and uncertain contexts. We also show the possibility of applying the framework to real environments such as collaborative engineering service, automobile maintenance service and ubiquitous home service.

The main objectives of developing IMPRESS are to implement DAVIC compliant services platform to verify DAVIC specification and to support testing environment. Currently IMPRESS terminal provides MPEG-2 quality movies on demand, switched video broadcasting, and home-shopping service to the service user, based on the ATM network.
In this paper, we propose an adaptive transformation engine that provides smart devices with optimal user interfaces and media contents to their characteristics so as to conveniently control home networks remotely using smart devices in the wired and wireless home networks which various kinds of smart devices and home network devices are connected. The proposed engine dynamically transforms UI contents and transfers them using device profiles and UI transformation policies to make it suitable for smart devices. Moreover, the proposed engine offers suitable media contents for smart devices through capabilities of real-time media transcoding and streaming considering device and media profiles.

Roaming authentication protocol is widely used in wireless network which can enable a seamless service for the mobile users. However, the classical approach requires the home server's participation during the authentication between the mobile user and the foreign server. So the more the roaming requests are performed the heavier burden will be on the home server. In this paper, we propose a new roaming authentication framework for wireless communication without the home server's participation. The new roaming authentication protocol in the new framework takes advantage of the ID-based cryptography and provides user anonymity. It has good performance compared with the roaming authentication protocols whose authentication do not need the home server's participation in terms of security and computation costs. Moreover, a new User-to-User authentication protocol in the new framework is also present. All the authentications proposed in this paper can be regarded as a common construction and can be applied to various kinds of wireless networks such as Cellular Networks, Wireless Mesh Networks and Vehicle Networks.
