We examined the effect of topical application of Shimotsu-to, a traditional Chinese herbal prescription, on carrageenin-induced edema in rats and ultraviolet radiation-induced erythema in guinea pigs. Shimotsu-to (5% in water) markedly suppressed an acute edema of rat hindpaw induced by 1% carrageenin, and was more effective than any other single crude drug componcent of Shimotsu-to, Topical treatment with this prescription also inhibited ultraviolet erythema on the back skin of guinea pigs (a human sunbrun model). These results suggest the therapeutic effect on acute inflammation by topical application of Shimotsu-to.

This article attenpts to analyze, from the perspective of post-colonialism, 'Goemul'(English title, The Host), the Korean blockbuster movie that scored the greatest box-office success in the history of the Korean cinema. As Goemul eagerly copies the monster movie, a representative genre of Hollywood movies, it has close affinity with Hollywood blockbuster movie in many repects. At the same time, however, it also contains a resistance discourse that criticizes and mocks colonial of Korean society under American influences. This movie successfully carries out a post-colonial cultural translation that transforms mimicry into resistance to colonialsim. Hence, this artcle focuses on how Goemul borrows many aspects of the Hollywood monster movie but goes beyond the simple copying of it to reach post-colonial signification subverting the existing cultural regime.

Juan $Mars{\acute{e}}$ was born in 1933 in Barcelona. Being the son of a City cleaner, he was able to watch, from a very early age, all the films he desired, as many times as he wished. This privilege meant a great help in future years, when having to develop the plots and characters of his works. In his last (latest) novel, Caligrafía de los $sue{\tilde{n}}os$, published in 2011, as he has done in his previous works he uses a cinematographic frame again. The explicit references to Hollywood's Golden Age -such as John Ford's Stagecoach and Cecil B. DeMiller's The Plainsman- bring very specific and vivid images to the reader's mind, leading to clear physical and psychological associations. The aim is achieved: the reader's attention is caught immediately. However, characters, plot and cinematographic structures are actually distracting mirages. They make the reader expect a predictable ending which, in fact, will be very different. Therefore, the surprised reader must step back, in order to approach the main topics of the novel from a certain distance. Doing so, he's following the Theory of the Distancing Effect. He becomes aware of the need of a new perspective on social problems that he had considered as familiar justo a few moments before. Thus, he is getting prepared for a more objective interpretation, such as the futility of war and the ideological differences that led to the (Spanich) Civil War and all its devastationg effects.

This study examines the impact of factors that affect Hollywood movies' box office performance, using a sample of 149 movies that were ranked number 1 on the first week of release between 2014 and 2018. Such factors as production budget, the number of opening screens, the valence and volume of both critics and netizens, rating, distributor's power, remake, high season, genre are introduced to analyze box office performance. The result shows that the determinants of the US box office and the total box office are different. Considering the difference in budget by genre, the number of opening screens is not influential in the US box office performance of all genres with production budget of less than $100 million. The result suggests the need to refine more elaborated models for future research on box office performance.

Andy Warhol is one of the great artists in the modern history of art who compares favorably with Picasso. His activities had his object on pervasion of a pop art and profit of the art industry. Many previous studies on his activities have attracted and held the attention of his works of art after 1960s. However in spite of his working as publisher of a fashion magazine fashion illustrator fashion model displayer and etc. in 1950s. there are few studies on his activities of 1950s. Hence this study investigates his works of art in 1950s. and intensively analyzes his effect on modern fashion. In 1950s, Andy Warhol had already been distinguished in works of art from other commercial designers through the illustration for advertising design window display of stores and usage of Hollywood stars as anessential element in his works for whom he had sighed when he was young His works were also characterized by a rejection of they originality of commercial arts. He had an great effect on youth's fashion in 1950s and has activities in 1950s had influence on the diffusion of the public punk fashion in 1970s and the street fashion in 1980s.

Early 1920s, Joseon film production began with Japanese colonial rule organization and expanded into civilian. These films were influenced by the documentary film what recorded the scenery and the custom also influenced by kino drama that displayed the place of a dramatic incident. So these films developed into the form emphasize on place. At that time, hollywood serial films were popular. So the first Joseon films shooted a picturesque place and a landmark of the city in the background where heros took a risk. In the style stakes, Joseon films looked very similar to Japanese films. shooted long-take and long-shot, it had rhythm with narration of benshi and emphasized on visual excitation by using color. Early 1920s Joseon films which were similar to Japanese films changed from Japanese style to Hollywood style caused by Na woon-kyu's .

I analysis Alfonso Cuaron's comparing it with Charles Dickens' the original novel and David Lean's . In order to evaluate film which is based on classic novel, formal difference between film and novel, people's preference in those days and director's interpretations should be considered besides how the film follow the original novel faithfully. Regarding to these valuation basis, David Lean's film is true to the original novel and same time successful to add director's interpretation by using Mise en secne in it. Alfonso Cuaron is also succeed in filming well-made, people-like work by modifying the original novel with the convention of melo-drama genre and by using modern film form without breaking Hollywood classic film grammar.

This study looks into the differences between the two different genres of dramatic renditions on film- television dramas and movies, by studying the respective characteristics of screenplays for television and movies, and comparing the disparity in status between the powerful television drama writer and the powerless movie screenwriters as well as actual power structures within the Korean media industry. It explores the intensifying problems of high cost drama productions and poor treatment of screenwriters, as well as established practices in the movie and television industries so as to analyze problems comprehensively and seek balanced growth within these industries. The Hollywood screenwriting system is taken as a point of comparison in seeking solutions and exploring the direction that Korean film and television industries should take in the future.

Superhero movies are an important part of the Hollywood film industry. The Superman series is the most important of them, bringing high box office receipts and profits of surrounding goods to the Hollywood film industry. The Superman series of live-action movies is an adaptation and secondary creation of superhero comics. With the development of the times, the narrative content, narrative form and aesthetic design of the Superman series have changed with the times. The film "Superman: The Body of Steel" is the latest in the series, and it is also the re-launch of the Superman series of movies after seven years. The film has innovated and subverted the story and aesthetic design of the previous film.
