콘크리트보수용 접착제를 이용한 Anchor Bolt의 인발지지력 산정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Performance test of Chemical Anchor Bolts for Concrete Repair)

  • A research on the performance of retrofit anchors was conducted using adhesives for rehabilitation. From the pull-out tests of the chemical anchors, the effect of the hole diameter, spacer, temperature, moisture, embedment depth, and aging time were investigated. The spacer did not directly increased the pull-out load hilt increased post-yielding resistance therefore the ductility of the retrofit anchors. When the hole was cleaned and dried after the immersion, the pull-out load was greatly increased compared to the wet hole. A design equation was unposed depending on the embedment depth of the anchor bolt.

  • A this experimental study is executed to analyze spray characteristics for air-shrouded injector and 4hole 2spray type injector used in a gasoline engine. Since spray parameters including spray penetration and angle, SMD, and atomization characteristics are very important to increase the engine performance, the image processing algorithm for measuring the non-spherical spray diameter is developed. Spray characteristics of the air-shrouded injector(2hole 2spray) and 4hole-2spray injector are analyzed respectively by this digital image processing method. Effective spray characteristics to injectors is derived from this experimentation and obtained the design guide for gasoline injector.

  • A study on discharge characteristics of a rotating discharge hole is very important to enhance the performance of an induction motor which have external forced cooling system. The discharge characteristics of rotating discharge holes are influenced by rotating speed, length-to-diameter ratio, inlet shape of rotor holes, etc. An experimental study on the effect of chamfered inlet edge of rotor inlet part with various depth-to-diameter and inlet chamfered edge angle is conducted. Depth-to-diameter ratios range from 0 to 0.5 and inlet chamfered edge angle range from 0 to 60. As a result, there is an optimal design point of inlet chamfered edge depth. And the inlet edge angle far maximum discharge coefficient is influenced mainly by the rotating speed of discharge holes.

  • In this study, numerical analysis was conducted to understand the flow characteristics of lubrication system in a manual transmission installed in a commercial vehicle. Also, the analysis was conducted with the purpose of improving the heat and lubricative condition of the transmission. Discharging flow rates on each oil hole outlet according to various engine rotating speed and the length of oil hole branch was calculated. In conclusion, as engine rotating speed is high and the length of oil hole branch is long, the discharging flow rate is high by virtue of the centrifugal force. In addition, this study proposed data for optimal design of lubrication system in manual transmission for a commercial vehicle.

모터싸이클 브레이크 디스크의 열 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Analysis of Motorcycle Brake Disk)

  • The effect of frictional factors on thermal stress and deformation volume of motorcycle brake disk was studied by using a disk-on-pad type friction tester. It has an effect on the frictional factor such as applied load, sliding speed, sliding distance and number of ventilated disk hole. However, it is difficult to know the mutual relation of these factors. In this study, thermal stress and deformation volume by using design of experiment with 4 elements were investigated for thermal analysis with regression analysis. Thermal stress and thermal deformation are obtained by the application of temperature from mechanical test. From this study, the result showed that the motorcycle brake disk with ventilated hole 3 had the most excellent thermal stress and deformation volume. The regression equation had a trust rate of 95% for the prediction of thermal stress and deformation volume of motorcycle brake disk was composed.

일방향 CFRP 복합재료의 핀 베어링강도에 관한 시험편 치수의 영향 (Effect of Specimen Geometries on the Pin Bearing Strength of Unidirectional CFRP Composites)

  • The pin bearing strength is one of the most important design parameters for mechanical joints composed of fiber reinforced composites. Thus the effect of the edge distance and the width of specimen on the pin-bearing strength of unidirectional CFRP composites were experimentally investigated in this paper. As results, the failure modes and the pin bearing strength of mechanical joints turned out to depend on the edge distance and also the width of specimen. The failure of specimen with low ratio of width to hole diameter was caused by the net tension from the hole boundary, on the other hand, the failure of specimen with low ratio of edge distance to hole diameter was caused by the shear-out. The bearing strength in case of the failure by shear-out was quite lower than that in case of failure by net tension.

  • This paper Investigated the characteristics of residual stress in weld is composed of typical specimens, are investigated by using three dimensional thermal elasto-plastic FEM analysis. Numerically calculated residual stresses in the gas welds were then compared with experimental results obtained by the hole-drilling method. Using the stress amplitude (${\sigma}a$)R at the hot spot point of gas weld, the relations obtained as the fatigue test results for typical specimens having various dimensions and shapes were systematically rearranged to obtain the (${\sigma}a$)R-Nf relationship. It was found that more systematic and accurate evaluation of the fatigue strength of plug- and ring-type gas-welded joints can be achieved by using (${\sigma}a$)R.

  • To determine the residual stress, concentrated forces instead of distributed stresses, are assumed to be released around the hole drilled through. Concentrated forces are consisted with pairs of concentrated farces which have opposite directions and small distances. Residual stress determination on assumption of concentrated forces is compared numerically with normal method based on Kirsch's solution and proved to be available when released strains are measured at a little distance.

Laminate Tensile Failure Strength Prediction using Stress Failure Criteria

  • This paper presents a method that uses the stress failure criteria to predict the tensile failure strength of open-hole laminates with stress concentrations. The composite material used in this study corresponds to a 177 ℃ cured, carbon/epoxy unidirectional tape prepreg. The results obtained by testing ten different laminates were compared and analyzed to verify the tensile strength of the open-hole laminates predicted using the proposed stress failure criteria. The findings of this study confirm that the tensile strength predictions performed using the proposed method are generally accurate, except in cases involving highly soft laminates (10% of 0° ply).

WUF-W 접합부의 액세스 홀 형상변수 타당성 평가를 위한 경험식 제안 (Empirical Equations for Checking Validity of Access Hole Parameters for WUF-W Connections)

  • WUF-W 접합부는 부재의 접합이 모두 용접으로 이루어진 접합부이며, 특수모멘트골조(SMF) 인증접합부 중 하나이다. 하지만 선행 연구들을 통해 일부 WUF-W 접합부 실험체가 4% 층간변위비의 특수모멘트골조(SMF) 요구성능을 만족하지 못하였으며, 이는 액세스 홀 형상과 연관이 있음이 보고되었다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 유한요소 해석을 이용하여 WUF-W 접합부의 요구성능을 만족하기 위한 주요 액세스홀 형상변수의 허용범위를 결정하였다. 또한 WUF-W 접합부 설계과정에서 주요 액세스 홀 형상변수의 타당성을 평가할 수 있는 간단한 경험식을 제안하였다.
