압입법에 의한 실리콘의 상전이 (Phase Transformation of Silicon by Indentation)

  • 실리콘의 고압상을 연구하는 수단으로 압입 방법을 사용하였다. 실험에는 (100)과 (111) 실리콘 웨이퍼를 사용하였으며 하중유지 시간과 하중인가 속도에 따른 잔류상의 변화를 연구하였다. 압입 후의 상분석에는 Raman spectroscopy를 사용하였다. 하중 유지 시간의 실험결과 (111) 시편에서는 하중 유지 시간이 길어질수록 소성변형이 진행되어 고압상인 Si-III 와 Si-XII는 결정구조를 유지하지 못하고 사라지고 대신 a-Si가 관찰되었다. 하중 인가 속도 실험 결과 하중 인가 속도가 0.1 mm/min일 경우 모든 시편의 force/displacement 곡선에서 pop-in을 관찰할 수 있었다. Raman peak 분석 결과 이들 시편에서는 상전이가 관찰되었다. 5 mm/min의 하중인가 속도의 경우 (111) 시편에서는 급격한 변형의 증가 부분이 관찰되었으나 (100) 시편의 경우 관찰되지 않았다. 하중인가 속도가 느릴 경우 상전이 양상이 뚜렷하게 나타났으며 반대의 경우 상전이는 소량 관찰되거나 관찰되지 않았다. 이것은 하중인가속도가 상전이 영역의 부피에 영향을 주기 때문이라 판단된다.

이중 불확실성하의 공정-저장조 망구조 최적설계 (Optimal Design of Process-Inventory Network under Cycle Time and Batch Quantity Uncertainties)

  • The aim of this study is to find an analytic solution to the problem of determining the optimal capacity of a batch-storage network to meet demand for finished products in a system undergoing joint random variations of operating time and batch material loss. The superstructure of the plant considered here consists of a network of serially and/or parallel interlinked batch processes and storage units. The production processes transform a set of feedstock materials into another set of products with constant conversion factors. The final product demand flow is susceptible to joint random variations in the cycle time and batch size. The production processes have also joint random variations in cycle time and product quantity. The spoiled materials are treated through regeneration or waste disposal processes. The objective function of the optimization is minimizing the total cost, which is composed of setup and inventory holding costs as well as the capital costs of constructing processes and storage units. A novel production and inventory analysis the PSW (Periodic Square Wave) model, provides a judicious graphical method to find the upper and lower bounds of random flows. The advantage of this model is that it provides a set of simple analytic solutions while also maintaining a realistic description of the random material flows between processes and storage units; as a consequence of these analytic solutions, the computation burden is significantly reduced. The proposed method has the potential to rapidly provide very useful data on which to base investment decisions during the early plant design stage. It should be of particular use when these decisions must be made in a highly uncertain business environment.

3가지 성문위기도기(Supraglottic airway device)의 삽관 용이성과 삽관시간 비교 - 마네킨을 이용한 연구- (Comparative assessment of the easiness and speed of insertion of three supraglottic airway devices - A manikin study -)

  • Purpose : This study was designed to compare the easiness and speed of insertion of three supraglottic airway devices(SADs) in a manikin setting. Methods : Three different SADs - Laryngeal Mask Classic(cLMA), I-gel and Streamlined Liner of the Pharynx Airway(SLIPA) were applied. One hundred and nineteen paramedical students with(group H) or without (group L) previous airway experience were taught brief manikin training about the use of the cLMA, I-gel and SLIPA. The students inserted each device in a randomized order. Time to effective ventilation was recorded in seconds from holding the device to the first chest inflation. Success was determined as adequate chest wall movement. Results : The insertion attempts were lesser in I-gel($1.00{\pm}0.00$) and SLIPA($1.05{\pm}0.27$) than cLMA($1.16{\pm}0.41$, p<.05). The shortest time to insertion was recorded for I-gel($10.5{\pm}3.0sec$), followed by the SLIPA($12.9{\pm}4.5sec$) and cLMA($19.6{\pm}4.1sec$, p<.05). There were no significant differences in the insertion attempts and insertion time of I-gel between group L and group H. But in cLMA, longer insertion time and more insertion attempts were recorded in group L than group H. Conclusion : Both I-gel and SLIPA were superior to cLMA in the easiness and speed of insertion. Even in novice students, I-gel showed an excellent result in a manikin.

비근육 단백질의 수화조건이 겔 형성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hydration Condition of Non-Muscle Protein on Gelling)

  • [ $10\%$ ]의 단백질농도에서 5, 15, 25, 35$^{\circ}C$에서 각각 48시간까지 수화시킨 첨가단백질의 겔 형성능을 조사하였을 때 대두단백이 혈장단백, 건조난백과 같은 다른 2가지 첨가단백질 사이에는 중요한 차이가 있었으며, 이는 대두단백은 모든 조건에서 겔을 형성하지 못하였고, 수화는 5$^{\circ}C$, 12시간 24시간에서 혈장단백의 젤리강도를 $10\%$ 정도 상승시켰으며, 건조난백의 경우 5, 15, 25$^{\circ}C$에서 12, 24시간에서 $60\%$ 정도 젤리강도를 증가시켰다. 이와 같이 겔 형성능이 상승한 경우는 수화가 단백질의 인력과 척력의 적절한 균형을 제공한 것으로 추정되며, 실제 단백질의 겔 형성능을 이용하는 많은 식품이 있고 또한 가공공정이 다양하지만 적절한 수화공정의 추가는 겔 형성능을 상승시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

Al-Si-Cu계 AC2B 합금의 최적 용체화 처리 조건 (The Optimal Solution Treatment Condition in a Al-Si-Cu AC2B Alloy)

  • The precipitates, hardness, and tensile properties of Al-6.2Si-2.9Cu AC2B alloy were investigated with respect to solution treatment time at $500^{\circ}C$. $Al(Cu)-Al_2Cu$ eutectic, Si, ${\theta}-(Al_2Cu)$, and $Q-(Al_5Cu_2Mg_8Si_6)$ phases were observed in the as-cast specimen. With increasing the solution treatment time at $500^{\circ}C$, the $Al(Cu)-Al_2Cu$ eutectic and ${\theta}-(Al_2Cu)$ phases were gradually reduced and finally almost disappeared in 5 h. The mechanical properties, such as hardness, tensile strength, and elongation, were improved with solution treatment time until about 5 h due to the dissolution of the $Al_2Cu$ particles. With further holding time, the mechanical properties did not change much. The solution treated specimens for over 5 h at $500^{\circ}C$ exhibit almost the same tensile properties even after aging at $250^{\circ}C$ for 3.5 h. Accordingly, the optimal solution treatment condition of the Al-Si-Cu AC2B alloy is considered to be 5 h at $500^{\circ}C$.

체이동 매듭과 추가적인 반 매듭 증가에 따른 매듭의 장력 변화와 최적 유지력 (Sliding Knots and the Effect of Additional Half-Hitch Knots on Optimal Knot-Holding Capacity)

  • 목적: 잠김(Locking)이 가능한 이동 매듭의 (sliding knot) 최적 매듭 유지력 (knot-holdingcapacity KHC)을 가지기 위한 추가적인 반 매듭의 (additional half-hitches) 개수를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 4가지의 관절경적 이동 매듭법 (Duncan매듭법, Field 매듭법, Giant매듭법, SMC매듭법)을 대상으로 매듭 유지력을 실험하였다. 각각의 매듭을 만들기 위해 처음의 이동 매듭과 추가적인 5개의 반 매듭으로 구성된 6개의 연속적인 매듭을 만들었다. 각각의 추가된 반 매듭은 서로 교차하며 매듭의 지대 (post)도 교차하여 매는 방식으로 (reversing half-hitches with alternate posts, RHAPS) 하였다. 각각의 연속적인 매듭을 구성하기위해 No.2 Ethibond봉합사를 이용하여 각각의 매듭 형태에 12개의 매듭을 만들었다. 매듭의 인장 및 유지력 실험은 servohydraulic material testing system(Instron 8511, MTS, Minneapolis, MN)으로 주기적 부하(cyclic loading)를 시켜, 임상적으로 실패라 규정한 3 mm의 전위가 생길 때까지의 부하 (load to clinical failure). 매듭이 완전히 실패했을 때의 부하 강도 (load to ultimate failure), 그리고 실패 형태 (mode of failure)를 측정하였다. 결과: 추가적인 반 매듭이 없는 최초의 이동 매듭 자체로는 대부분 주기적 부하에 의해 매듭의 실패를 보였다. 주기적 부하 검사에서 각각의 추가적인 반 매듭이 증가할수록 평균 전위 값은 감소하였다. SMC 매듭법과 Giant 매듭법은 하나의 추가적인 반 매듭 이후로 0.1 mm이하의 전위 값을 보였고 Field와 Duncan 매듭법은 3개의 추가 반매듭이 필요하였다. SMC 매듭법과 Duncan 매듭법은 80 N을 견디기 위해 단 하나의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였고, Field와 Giant 매듭법은 2개의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였다. 100 N이상의 부하를 견디기 위해서는 SMC 매듭법은 3개의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였고, 다른 3가지의 매듭법은 4개의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였다. 추가 반 매듭이 증가함에 따라 봉합사는 풀리는 것보다 끊어지는 양상을 보였다. Duncan매듭법은 5개의 추가 반 매듭 이후에도 풀림현상을 보였고, 다른 3개의 매듭법은 3개의 추가 반 매듭 이후엔 75%이상이 봉합사의 풀림 현상보다는 끊어지는 양상을 보였다. (SMC, Field 매듭법은 92%, Ciant 매듭법은 75%)결론: 어떤 매듭법이라도 이동 매듭법 만으로는 주기적 부하 검사를 견디지 못했다. 모든 종류의 실험에서 SMC 매듭법은 최소2개의 두개의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였다. Duncan 매듭법은 최적 매듭 유지력을 위해 3개 이상의 추가 반 매듭이 필요하였다. 모든 매듭법에서 3개나 그 이상의 추가 반 매듭이 최적 유지력에서 정점에 가까운 양상을 보였다.

Effect of Protease Produced from Bacillus polyfermenticus SCD on Quality of Jerky

  • The objective of this study was to examine the effects of crude protease from Bacillus polyfermenticus SCD and marination time on quality of pork and beef jerky. Neither pork nor beef jerky showed a significant difference in pH among all treatments, and each protease was found to have a greater effect on the color of beef jerky. The hardness was significantly lower in all jerky treated with each protease, however the textural properties of jerky were not significantly different with regard to marination times. Water content was not affected by protease addition or marination times, however the water activity was lower in jerky treated with protease. The rehydration capacity of pork jerky was higher in jerky treated with protease, whereas that of beef jerky was higher in jerky dried after tumbled and held for 24 hr. Sensory characteristics were higher in jerky treated with protease, not affected by holding time after marinated.

Effect of Quality Grade and Storage Time on the Palatability, Physicochemical and Microbial Quality of Hanwoo Striploin Beef

  • The effects of quality grade and storage time on physicochemical, sensory properties and microbial population of Hanwoo striploin beef were investigated. After a total of 30 Hanwoo beef were slaughtered, the cold carcasses were graded by official meat grader at 24 h postmortem. The carcasses were categorized into five groups (quality grade 1++, 1+, 1, 2, and 3) and were vacuum-packaged and stored. The samples were kept for 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22 and 25 d for analyses. As the quality grade was increased, moisture, protein and ash contents decreased (p<0.05). Higher quality grade corresponded with higher fat contents. The shear force values decreased with increasing quality grade and showed decreases sharply during the first 4 d (p<0.05). pH, water holding capacity, cooking loss, and volatile basic nitrogen for grade 1++ groups were lower than for grade 3 (p<0.05). CIE L* and b* values increased as increased quality grade (p<0.05). Meat color decreased until 13 d and fluctuated after 15 d of storage (p<0.05). Regarding the sensory scores, higher quality grade corresponded with higher juiciness, tenderness, flavor, fatty and palatability scores (p<0.05). Generally, increased storage time for 15 d improved sensory scores attributes. Results indicate that a high quality grade could positively influence physicochemical and sensory properties.

Effect of Maturation Time on the Extrusion Rate of First Polar Body and the Enucleation Rate of Bovine Follicular Oocytes)

  • In this study, methods on fabrication of microtool and setting of micromanipulator were examined and relationship between first polar body extrusion rate and maturation time of follicular oocyte, enulceation rae and repetition of trial, and enucleation rate and maturation period were investigated. The results are as follows: 1. Suitable outside diameter of micropipette tube was 1mm. Holding pipette with less than diameter of oocyte was fitred for manipulation, and zona dissection needle was easily operated when its sharp-point had diameter of about 8 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and length of 300${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The injection pipette with 20~35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ outside diameter was adequate for injection of blastomere into perivitelline space. 2. Separation of blastomere was effective when zona pellucida had cut with zonadissection needle and the embryo was pipetted gently with the pipette that had narrower diameter than that of embryo until separation of blastomeres had completed. 3. The extrusion rate of first polar body was 78% during 20~24% hours incubation for maturation. 4. According to repetitions of micromanipulation, the enucleation rate was increased to 85% and the time required for enucleation of a oocyte was shortened to 3 min. 5. The extrusion rate of first polar body and enucleation rate were 82 and 76% respectively, in the group of the oocytes cultured for 22 hours. However in the group cultured for 24 hours, the extrusion rate of first polar body and enucleation rate were 53 and 100% respectively.

기업의 보유 특허 특성과 경제적 활용 가능성에 대한 연구-의료화학산업 특허를 중심으로 (A Study on Properties of Patents in the Applicants and Possibility of Economical Usage-Focused on Pharmaceutical Chemistry Industry Sector)

  • As the importance of intellectual property rights for the 21st century challenge became prominent, many companies have been trying to secure many rights competitively. In particular, application numbers of patent that represents technology has been increased continuously. Korean companies were not exception; mainly in large companies, there have been continued the efforts to grow the number of patent applications in quantitative volume. But the issues that how viable patents the companies have, how effectively the companies manage, and how economically usable the patents are, are totally different from quantitative management level. As such, the issue is connected to how to assess the patent management level of companies. On the other side of quantitative growth of patent that companies hold, there are some problems such as the difficulties to determine if the patents hold substantial values, and the difficulties to determine whether the patent are managed effectively. In addition, as the numbers of patent application and registration of companies are increased, the cost for patent holding and managing increase. It is required to pay continuous attention to the cost of patent management because patent registration fee has a property that increases rapidly with time and burden for patentee become heavier. As a result of analysis and interpretation, we confirmed that quantitative management, particularly the number of patent applicant does not make positive impact on how to use patent after application. Rather, it is observed that the economical usage is influenced positively by the efforts of patent applicants such as considering for the time of patent examination, paying attention to receive patent registration decision. Therefore, this study shows that efforts patent applicants provide in management level after application time are important to maintain the value of patents.
