Statement of problem: Alteration of tooth function is assumed to be changed by stress/strain on the adjacent alveolar bone, producing changes in morphology similar to those described for other load-bearing bones. When teeth are removed, opposing teeth will not be functioned. When edentulous area is restored by implant prostheses, opposing teeth will be received physiologic mechanical stimuli. Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the bone changes around the teeth opposing implant restoration installed mandibular posterior area. Material and method: Eight patients who had mandibular posterior edentulous area were treated with implants. Radiographs of the opposing teeth were taken at implant prostheses delivery(baseline), 3 months, and 6 months later. Customized film holding device was fabricated to standardize the projection geometry for serial radiographs of opposing teeth. Direct digital image was obtained. Gray values of region of interest at each digital image were measured and compared according to time lapse. Repeated measured analysis of variance and post-hoc Scheffe's test were performed at the 95% significance level. Results: Alveolar bone changes around the natural teeth opposing the posterior implant in mandible showed statistically significant difference compared to control group(P<0.05). And gray values of alveolar bone around the teeth opposing implants were increased. There were no statistically significant differences of alveolar bone changes between crestal group and middle group and between mesial group and distal group according to time lapse(P>0.05). There were no statistically significant differences of alveolar bone changes among mesial-crestal group, mesial-middle group, distal-crestal group, distal-middle group, and control group(P>0.05). Conclusion: Alveolar bone around the natural teeth opposing the implant prosthesis showed gradual bony apposition.
This study systematically analyzed types of fashion brand application focusing on accounts created in Korea. While referring to 'Chanel' which has developed a fashion brand app for the first time in August of 2008, not only for App store by Apple Inc. of the greatest market share but also for Android market, the one and only competitor of App store, the study examined cases of fashion brand app in Korea and foreign countries which have been in service till August of 2013 since the year of 2008. To achieve the research goal, the study conducted a literature research and a case review, categorizing the app by their distinctive functions which were Basic Information, SNS, AR, LBS, Entertainment, Mobile Shopping and Live Streaming. As for the first function, Basic Information, it was considered to provide information on a brand such as prices, sizes and colors of products which should be the most fundamental function of a fashion brand. The function would include look book, catalogues, photographs and others of products, helping users of the app with their understanding on images and concepts of the brand. Second, SNS function was considered useful for its mobility and communication and with the help of theirs, the users share fashion information with each other. Third, AR function as in a filed of virtual reality would edit virtual objects to look real in an actual environment. This would eventually offer the users a chance to try for clothes virtually. The fourth function, LBS, would work with GPS to find a store closest from a present location. This would be a help when the users try to find stores holding promotion events or trails while hiking in mountains. The fifth Entertainment function would include all sorts of games and chances for the users to listen to music and keep fashion diaries. The sixth function, Mobile Shopping, would help the users purchase items online via the app as they would not visit a store in person. The seventh function, Live Streaming, would give the users chances to actually see fashion collections in real time, held all over the world in every season. Because of this function, not only fashion experts but also regular people have become able to enjoy the fashion shows. The distinctive characteristics of the fashion brand application discussed in the study will be a useful reference when any relevant fields try to design other new fashion brand application.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the acceleration of vibration by the powered hand tools used in the shipbuilding industry, and to develop the prospective prevalence model for the hand-arm vibration syndrome among the shipbuilding workers.The acceleration levels and frequencies of six types of grinder were measured using the ISO5349 method along with the time of exposure to the vibration from the powered hand tools. Medical examination for 114 workers were performed using the cold provocation test. Comparisons were made between the estimated prevalence of hand-arm vibration syndrome from ISO5349 and the observed values from the medical examinations. By multiple regression, we developed the prospective prevalence model of hand-arm vibration syndrome produced by the hand tools used in the shipbuilding industry. 4 hour-energy-equivalent frequency-weighted accelerations were $6.23m/s^2$ in the grinding job done after welding, and $13.39m/s^2$ in the grinding job done before painting. The mean exposure time while holding powered hand tools was 4.64 hours. Prevalence rates of Raynaud's Phenomenon were 12.04% in the grinding after soldering, and 42.9% in the grinding before painting measured using the ISO5349 method. After exposure to vibration for 10.79 years, about a half of the workers in the grinding after welding could developed Raynaud's Phenomenon. For the workers in the grinding before painting, the latency was 5.02 years. The ISO equation for dose response relationship was not significantly correlated with observed recovery rates of finger skin temperatures, blood flows and amplitudes of nerve conduction velocities. A multiple regression model for dose-response relationship was proposed from the results. Recovery rate of the skin temperatures = -0.668+ 0.337 ${\times}$ 4 hour energy equivalent frequency-weighted accelerations + 0.767 ${\times}$ duration of vibration exposure(years) The validity was proved by multiple regression analysis after correlation transformation and regression results based on model-building data and validation data.
It is well known that chromaffin cells of adrenal medulla secrete catecholamine in response to sympathetic nerve activation and the influx of $Ca^{2+}$ through the voltage dependent $Ca^{2+}$ channels (VDCC) in the cell membrane do a major role in this secretory process. In this study, we explored the effect of divalent cations on VDCC of rat chromaffin cells. Rat (Sprague-Dawley rat, 150-250 gm) chromaffin cells were isolated and cultured. Standard giga seal, whole cell recording techniques were employed to study $Ca^{2+}$ current with external and internal solutions that could effectively isolate VDCC currents $(NMG\;in\;external\;and\;TEA\;and\;Cs^{2+}\;in\;internal\;solution)$. The voltage dependence and the inactivation time course of VDCC in our cells were identical to those of bovine chromaffin cells. A persistent inward current was first activated by depolarizing step pulse from the holding potential (H.P.) of -80 mV to -40 mV, increased to maximum amplitude at around +10 mV, and became smaller with progressively higher depolarizing pulses to reverse at around +60 mV. The inactivation time constant $(\tau)$, fitted from the long duration test potential (2 sec) was $1295.2{\pm}126.8$ msec $(n=20,\;1\;day\;of\;culture,\;mean\;{\pm}S.E.M.)$ and the kinetic parameters were not altered along the culture duration. Nicardipine $(10\;{\mu}M)$ blocked the current almost completely. Among treated divalent cations such as $Cd^{2+},\;Co^{2+},\;Ni^{2+},\;Zn^{2+}\;and\;,Mn^{2+},\;Cd^{2+}$ was the most potent blocker on VDCC. When the depolarizing step pulse from -80 mV to 10 mV was applied, the equilibrium dissociation constant $(K_d)$ of $Cd^{2+}\;was\;39\;{\mu}M,\;K_d\;of\;Co^{2+}\;was\;100\;{\mu}M\;and\;K_d\;of\;Ni^{2+}];was];780{\mu}M.$ The principal findings of this study are as follows. First, the majority of $Ca^{2+}$ channels in rat chromaffin cells are well classified to L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel in the view of kinetics and pharmacology. Second, all divalent cations tested could block the $Ca^{2+}$ current and the most potent blocker among the tested was $Cd^{2+}$.
Four different pork patties were made with two levels, HP/FP-3% and HP/FP-6%, containing 3.0 and 6.0% HP(hot air dried sweet persimmon powder)/FP(freeze-dried sweet persimmon powder), respectively. After manufacture, the meat patties were packaged with polyvinyl wrap and stored at 4℃ for 8 days. CTL(control) and HP-3% meat patties were significantly(p<0.05) higher in moisture content than the other samples. FP-6% was found higher in protein content than the other treatments. FP-3% had a higher fat content than other meat patty samples. However, ash contents were not found significantly(p>0.05) different among the meat patty samples. The value of pH, L* and a* values were decreased as the cold storage time increased in all treatments(p<0.05). WHC(water holding capacity) of CTL and HP-6% and cooking loss of HP-3% were significantly(p<0.05) decreased with increased storage period. The diameter and thickness of all meat patties decreased with increasing the storage period. VBN(volatile basic nitrogen) values of all meat patties were increased(p<0.05) with increased storage period. TBARS (thiobarbituric acid reactive substance) of treatments were higher than that of CTL during whole storage time. The number of microorganisms(Total plate counts, Escherichia coli.) were maintained below 4.61 log10 CFU/cm2 during the whole storage period. In sensory evaluation, treatment groups had higher(p<0.05) scores in aroma, flavor, color and overall acceptability.

One of the most important factor of esthetic prosthesis is the color of the teeth. Zirconia is produced in the process of design, milling, coloring, drying, and sintering. The effect of the drying degree of zirconia colorant on the color tone is examined. For the experiment, a total of 45 zirconia specimens(15 for each) were fabricated by using cad/cam system. The zirconia specimens(L block(LAZOR), Z block(Zircos-E block posterior), A block(AlphaZ)) were then subjected to zirconia sintering in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, using a chemical coloring agent to Non-drying(0sec), intermediate (10sec), and completely dried (10min) temperature holding times. The color tone was measured using a spectrophotometer. The results were analyzed with a One-way analysis of variance and the Tukey post-hoc test (${\alpha}=.05$) The $L^*$ values of L, A specimens, $a^*$ values of A specimens, and $b^*$ values of Z specimens were not statistically different according to the degree of drying (p>0.05), While the $L^*$ value of Z specimen, $a^*$ value of L, Z specimen, $b^*$ values of L, A specimens were statistically different according to the degree of drying(p <0.05). In conclusion, the drying of zirconia colourants improves zirconia brightness and increases the optical properties of the enamel.
The study was performed to investigate the effect of corn bran as a fiber source on the utilization of thiamin niacin and pantothenic acid in human subjects for 8 weeks. Four different corn bran diets were fed : dry milled fine(DF) dry milled coarse(DC) wet milled fine(WF) and wet milled coarse(WC) Basal diet no corn bran bread added was employed as a control Apparent recovery of each B complex vitamin in urine was estimated to evaluate the vitamin and compared. The utilziation of three B vitamins was affected by the corn bran treatment. Dry milled corn bran had a higher recovery rate of thiamin(dry milled : 233% wet milled : 1.70%) than those receiving wet milled corn bran. Similar recovery pattern of niacin(dry milled : 1.94% wet milled : 1.50%) to that of thiamin was also observed. Particle size seemed to affect the vitamin utilization regardless of type of corn bran. Coarse bran gave a lower recovery value than fine corn bran in genreral. For pantothenic acid the recovery of the vitamin was affected to a greater extent by particle size of corn bran than by type of corn bran milling(fine: 60.22% coarse : 51.51%) Groups consuming wet milled corn bran\ulcorner(5`.57%) excreted more NDF than those fed dry milled corn bran(42.29%) Dry milled corn bran showed little or no water holding capacity poor fecal bulking properties and increased fecal transit time. The results suggest that corn bran supplementation exerts an negative effect on three B vitamin utilization.
Objective: The objective of this research was to study the electrical properties and quality of frozen-thawed chicken breast meat and to investigate the relationship between these parameters at different times of frozen storage. Methods: Thawed samples of chicken breast muscles were evaluated after being kept in frozen storage at $-18^{\circ}C$ for different periods of time (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 months). Results: The results showed that water-holding capacity (WHC) and protein solubility decreased while thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances content increased with increasing storage time. The impedance module of samples decreased during 8-month frozen storage. Pearson correlation coefficients showed that the impedance change ratio (Q value) was significantly (p<0.05) related to pH, color, WHC, lipid oxidation and protein solubility, indicating a good relationship between the electrical properties and qualities of frozen-thawed chicken breast meat. Conclusion: Impedance measurement has a potential to assess the quality of frozen chicken meat combining with quality indices.
Busan port's main function is handling container cargo compared to world major ports and the percentage of handling general cargo such as dirty bulk cargo is very low. In other words, although total cargo weight of Busan port that recorded the handling result of 13.29million TEU in 2008 reached 113.05million ton, total cargo weight of general cargo was 15.31million ton, so container cargo accounted for 88.1% of whole cargo weight. However, it is the time to create high added value by the increase of handling and marketing dirty bulk cargo. Originally, the dirty bulk cargo was not the avoided object from the first. Somehow, it is a very high added value cargo, and is surely essential strategic material to basic industries of nation. However, it becomes dirty bulk cargo as the companies are reluctant to handle it because of environmental problem, distinct characteristic in handling, uncertain break even point due to imbalance between supply and demand compared to container cargo. However, items that are classified as dirty bulk cargo now are certainly necessary strategic materials to national basic industries or national life. Besides it seems to be a high added value cargo here and now. Therefore, it is time that increasing of handling dirty bulk cargo by marketing it and the system for efficient handling such as constructing the exclusive use wharf in Busan port, modernizing of facilities and equipments, stable secure of place for holding and handling through development of distribution complex by item, efficient data processing and closer cooperation by setting up a SCM of related authorities are needful.

This study was conducted to establish the shelf life of $1^{++}$ grade Hanwoo beef by evaluating the changes in meat quality and storage stability under distribution conditions similar to those during export to Hong Kong and China. Four muscles of the loin, striploin, tenderloin, and top round muscles were obtained from 10 animals of $1^{++}$ grade Hanwoo steers. The distribution conditions were 0, 7, or 14 d of aging at $2^{\circ}C$ and continuous storage at $-18^{\circ}C$ for 0, 3, 6, or 9 mon. The lightness (CIE $L^*$) values decreased as the duration of freezer storage increased (p<0.05). The water-holding capacity of 4 muscles increased as the aging time increased when they were frozen for 3 mon (p<0.05). The cooking loss values of the four muscles were significantly increased as the duration of freezer storage increased (p<0.05). The Warner-Bratzler shear force values were significantly decreased in the loin, striploin, and top round muscles as the aging time increased (p<0.05). The changes in volatile basic nitrogen (16.67-18.49 mg%) and thiobarbituric reactive substance values (0.75-0.82 mg MA/kg meat) were significantly increased when the meat was frozen for 9 mon after 14 d of aging. On the basis of these observations, the shelf life of $1^{++}$ grade Hanwoo beef during distribution should be limited to less than 9 mon of freezer storage at $-18^{\circ}C$ after 14 d of aging at $2^{\circ}C$.
