We overview and discuss the IAU today from the viewpoint of its regions based on historical and statistical data, and consider the status and future of astronomy in the Asian-Pacific region. New activities of the IAU, the Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) and the Office for Astronomy Outreach (OAO) for the future evolution of astronomy are introduced. We also review the recent developments in astronomy in the Asian-Pacific region, and emphasize the importance of regional cooperation and coordination for the future.

Purpose - This study is to analyze indicators characterizing the monetary turnover and its determining factors. Also this paper looked at the evolution of monetary aggregates of the Russian Federation, Australian, Sweden, Denmark, countries of CIS at the present stage of development and in the historical context. Research design, data, and methodology - The scale of research on Russia: to be analyzed the amount of data from the 2011 by 2016. In the historical context of the estimated data in the 1900-2011. On Belarus - the 2007-2017, on Tajikistan - the 2000 - 2017, on Kazakhstan - the 2000-2017, on Kyrgyzstan - the 2000-2017, on Australian - the 1959-2017, on Sweden - the 2009-2017, on Denmark - the 1999-2017. Results - Hypothesis 1. In Russian Federation the monetary stock has the steady tendency to growth. The dynamics of money supply in Russia is largely determined by historical events. Hypothesis 2. The dynamics of money supply the leading countries-partners has the tendency to grow. The monetary amount of countries-partners are analyzed is largely determined by external debt, GDP, the exports, the imports, the international reserves. Conclusions - The dynamics of monetary stock of Russia is determined by the historical events in many respects. The Russian Federation maintains a steady and the liquid economic position in the case of considerable amount of monetary stock and the high degree of its surplus. In most of the countries studied, the monetary supply has a significant volume exceeding the needs of the economy. If the distribution of monetary mass is adequate and there is a vertical of financial control, this will not have a negative impact on the country's economic stability and the development.

This article explores how non-dominant medical practitioners shape their own self-images and the identity of relevant medicine and in what ways fashioning of self-images and accompanying modalities of medical practice informs the social evolution of the medicines at specific times and over specific places, by means of the historical configuration of osteopathy and chiropractic in the UK and the US. Attention is directed onto motivations and pursuits for professional recognition and actual strategies and activities of non-dominant medicines and its practitioners by turning to historical instances such as osteopathy and chiropractic in the UK and the US, not least drawing focus on professional desires with regard to circumstances it faces within and without. Some non-dominant medicines as a way with which to acquire and protect the exclusive monopoly of its knowledge and practical skills, adopted various forms of professionalism project, as dominant biomedical groups pressed up non-dominant medicines by virtue of marginalizing tactics. Meanwhile, non-dominant medicines took somewhat distinctive professionalisation strategies from each other. Strategies they took were diversified depending on medical philosophy, healing modality, the degree of occupational solidarity embodied as forms of medical organisation, and especially vocational aspiration and prospect. Change of socio-medical culture and the state's policy seems to have wielded critical influenceon the determination of the ups and downs of non-dominant medicines. From the perspective of long-term time span, dominant biomedicine eventually did not have much influence on the ups and downs of marginalized medicines in so far as in the case of osteopathy and chiropractic in Englandand the U. S.

미국의 초창기 소수집단우대정책(Affirmative Action)의 목적은 과거의 인종 차별로 인한 피해를 바로 잡고자 하는 차원에서 고용 및 교육에 대한 기회와 공평한 분배를 보장하고자 소수 인종을 우대하자는 데 있었다. 인종차별로 인한 과거를 보상하자는 취지에서 마련된 이 정책은 대학 입학 정책 실행에 있어 소수인종에 수혜를 주는 정원할당이라는 역차별과 공정성을 둘러싼 법적 논쟁이 끊이지 않았으며, 매 소송마다 연방법원 및 대법원 판결을 중심으로 그에 대한 법적 논리와 원칙, 준거를 마련하며 제도는 발전되어 왔다. 최근 들어 미국의 명문 주립대 중 하나인 텍사스주립대(University of Texas at Austin)에서는 소수집단우대정책의 시행이 백인 지원자들에 대한 역차별인지 여부를 결정할 대법원 판결(Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin)을 기다리면서 이 정책은 또다시 주목 받고 있다. 본 연구는 대학 입학정책에 있어 제도적 프레임의 결과로서 대법원 판례에 투영된 소수집단우대정책이 어떤 변화를 겪어 발전되어 왔는지, 이에 영향을 미친 역사적 맥락, 정치적 역학 구도와 관련 행위자들의 행동 전략을 역사적 신제도주의를 바탕으로 세 가지 차원을 통합하여 통합적 접근으로서의 정책의 변화 과정을 엿볼 수 있도록 분석하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the planning principles and historical meaning of Eupchi constructed during the Joseon Dynasty. I investigated the general character of Eupchi based on analyses of published materials from the Joseon Dynasty. The Joseon Dynasty, which started in 1392, set up Eupchi in a position to effectively govern the whole country. Eupchi was differentiated from the surrounding villages, and became the center of administration and education. Eupchi was established based on techniques taken from the capital. Following precedence in the capital, Eupchi was transformed with spaces for Confucian ceremonies. The cityscape of Eupchi was also differentiated from the surrounding villages. Such transformation of Eupchi represents the progress of urbanization. The developments found in Eupchi spread around Korea, and mark an important stage in the historical evolution of Korean urbanization. The Joseon Dynsasty used similar techniques from the capital to establish Eupchi. However, I found some differences between Eupchi and the capital. The Joseon Dynasty recognized that walls could protect not only the capital city bnt also the country from foreign enemies. Protective walls were required for a capital, but not for Eupchi. In addition, Eupchi did not have commercial institutions supported by the Dynasty. This further demonstrates that different planning principles were used at Eupchi.

The study aims to examine the development of the South Korean music industry over time in order to capture the evolution process of the industry from its initial stages to its current state as one of the world's leading music markets. Based on the above consideration, a systematic literature review was conducted in order to provide an overview of the achievements of the South Korean music industry with the help of PRISMA method. The reason for doing this is to ensure that the process of selecting, filtering and collecting literature from different sources is not only efficient and time-saving but also rigid and coherent. This paper will explore the various elements that have defined the industry, including culture, technology, marketing and government policies and regulations (Jang & Song, 2017). Furthermore, it will inquire the effects of the K-pop cultural export on other industries, whether it be tourism, fashion, consumer goods, and more, thereby illustrating its vast significance. In more detail, this study aims to give an adequate idea about the historical accomplishments of the South Korean music industry in the global music map, identify factors that facilitated the enhancement of the industry and examine the significance of the findings and their applications for the industry's progression and development in the future.

본 연구는 우리나라 공공임대주택정책은 '왜' 역대 정부에 따라서 경로변화를 할 수밖에 없었는가를 신제도주의 한 분파인 역사적 제도주의의 비교 역사적 분석방법과, 역사적 제도주의의 한계점을 보완하기 위하여 등장한 핵커(Hacker, 2004: 248)의 경로 진화모형을 혼합하여 분석하고자 한다. 우리나라는 고도의 산업화와 도시화로 인하여 이농현상이 초래되었으며 여기에 따른 부작용으로 주택문제가 심각한 사회문제로 대두되었다. 이러한 주택문제를 해결하기 위하여 역대 정부는 어떠한 정책을 시행하였는가를 살펴보고자 한다. 5,16군사정변으로 인한 제3공화국의 등장, 대한주택공사 설립, 정권의 정통성 부재에 대한 여론 호도용 이라는 우연성과 결정적 시기를 계기로 공공임대주택정책의 경로가 시작되었다고 보고 본 연구에서는 심층적인 연구를 하기 위해 경로진화 과정 중 이명박 정부의 '보금자리주택',과 박근혜정부의 '행복주택',을 비교 분석함으로써 공공임대주택정책의 현주소를 진단하고, 향후 공공임대주택정책의 바람직한 방향을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다.

지난 40년간 비디오 게임 산업은 비약적인 발전을 이루었다. 이에 본 연구는 산업조직론을 이론적 분석틀로 이용하여 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 진화를 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장 구조 및 시장 행위의 역사적 변화를 확인할 수 있었으며, 특히 미국 비디오 게임 산업의 시장구조의 변화와 시장행위의 변화간에 밀접한 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 비디오 게임 산업에 대한 경제학적 분석을 실시하는 후속 연구에 기초가 될 것으로 여겨진다.

In the paper of 'Natural Selection Favors AIs over Humans,' Dan Hendrycks applies principles of Darwinian evolution to forecast potential trajectories of AI development. He proposes that competitive pressures within corporate and military realms could lead to AI replacing human roles and exhibiting self-interested behaviors. However, such claims carry the risk of oversimplifying the complex issues of competition and natural selection without clear criteria for judging whether AI is selfish or altruistic, necessitating a more in-depth analysis and critique. Other studies, such as ''The Threat of AI and Our Response: The AI Charter of Ethics in South Korea,' offer diverse opinions on the natural selection of artificial intelligence, examining major threats that may arise from AI, including AI's value judgment and malicious use, and emphasizing the need for immediate discussions on social solutions. Such contemplation is not merely a technical issue but also significant from an ethical standpoint, requiring thoughtful consideration of how the development of AI harmonizes with human welfare and values. It is also essential to emphasize the importance of cooperation between artificial intelligence and humans. Hendrycks's work, while speculative, is supported by historical observations of inevitable evolution given the right conditions, and it prompts deep contemplation of these issues, setting the stage for future research focused on AI safety, regulation, and ethical considerations.

풍수사는 풍수 이론체계의 형성 및 발전 과정에 관한 풍수이론사와, 풍수 문화요소의 사회적 문화적 전개 과정에 관한 풍수문화사로 구분하여 볼 수 있다. 풍수이론사는 전문지식인에 의해서 정교한 지식의 인식 및 논리 체계로 생산, 전개된 측면이 있고, 풍수문화사는 사회집단에 의해서 지리적인 생활사의 과정에서 실천 방식으로 소비, 활용된 측면이 있다. 풍수 이론체계의 생산과 형성, 그리고 이론적 발전은 중국이 주도, 담당하였으며, 한국 및 주변 국가들은 중국이 만든 풍수 이론체계를 지역적 환경과 역사적 문화적 특색에 맞추어 실천하고, 적용, 변용시켰다. 한국 풍수론의 역사적 공간적 전개는 대체로, 고려시대의 비보도참적 도읍풍수론, 조선전기의 주자학적 묘지풍수론, 조선후기의 실학적 주거풍수론의 양상으로 드러났다. 한국 풍수론의 전개과정에서 나타난 특색은 동아시아에 비추어 실제적 운용성, 전반적 영향력과 시대적 다양성, 사회적 담론화, 형세론의 우세, 비보론이라는 다섯 가지로 요약할 수 있다.
