The objective of my paper is to investigate historical change in concepts of medical geography and to present its historical vision. Modern medical geography was established in the name of medical topography in Europe where it had to control tropical diseases in the course of exploration and voyages for colonial interests. England developed medical geography in the name of sanitary reform, France did so for civilizing mission, and geomedicine prevailed in Germany. The twentieth century witnessed two traditions of medical geography, with focus on disease ecology and medical care system, respectively. In addition, the paper emphasizes the significance of cartography of disease as knowledge as power. As the identity of place becomes increasingly important in relation to health at the around of the twenty-first century, geography of health has emerged as a new promising discipline independently of medical and public health geography.

Many recent British novels engage with the construction and deconstruction of history and identity; and in dealing with these historical, or historicised novels it seems to be an untouchable ground that truth is beyond grasp. Even when approached, its authenticity should be examined under the post-modern "incredulity toward metanarrative" discourses. Julian Barnes's 1998 novel England, England may be one of these. Yet, unlike others it achieves a complicated and controversial status as a new kind of historiographic metafiction by providing selfconscious reflections on the invention of innocence and the questionable notion of historical authenticity against the background of current postmodern historical, cultural, and literary explorations. The book, set in a near-future, namely post-post-modern England, starts with a story of a young girl, Martha Cochrane, whose first memory goes back to her early infantile years. Yet, the narrator comments that it is a lie, "her first artfully, innocently arranged lie," since memory, or history, is a product of identity, and vice versa. Her memory of the jigsaw puzzle is both a reminiscent and a significant component of who she is now, both a simulacrum and the original of herself. The correlation between her individual memory and identity parallels that of a region, England, in formation of its history and nationality. "England, England" is the replicated miniature of the former glorious Kingdom as well as a becoming der Ding an sich (the thing itself). In search of the English history and identity, the author satirizes the modern mind's perception of the unreliability and arbitrariness of memory and history, and further explores the alternative to the postmodern discourses by suggesting the probability of inventing innocence glimpsed in children's face "believing while disbelieving." In doing so, the author reconstructs not only the history of Englishness on the ground where nothing seems to be solid, but more importantly also the postmodern theme of relativity in relation to memory, history and identity.

Fashions are constantly subject to change, so that forecasting trends in fashion is very difficult and the forecasting is very important. The reason is that forecasting is identifying a hot trend for the next days' business and projecting the future. The purpose of this study is to suggest the realistic forecasting theory identify fashion trends at present, further forecast fashion trends to 1995. For this study, historical models (th historical resurrection model, the historical continuity model) and the art movement model among the behavioral science models which was suggested in 1986 by Geoge B.Sproles were selected. According to this study, was exhibited. This curve was resulted from relation between 1980s fashion trends and the behavioral science models of fashion. Fashion trends to 1995 through will be followings; 1. Body Conscious look as one of the characteristics of modern fashion will bi continued throughout 1990s' fashion trends. 2. The attraction of Mini style was started from the middle of 1980s, recently gets near micro mini and super shouts, These are representative of the historical continuity model. 3. Mini look as revivals of '60s in early 1990s fashion trends. This phenomenon identifies that "Fashion is repetition" 4. When Mini look and super shorts reach, will not progress any more. In this time, will bi seen transfer of style be using classic style. Tat is modern classic will be appeared. also this condition is same from late 1960s to early 1970s. In view of the historical base, the action of the varieted pants will be prominent. 5. Fashion trends which passed through this process will transfer from young look to elegant look. In this time, designers will retrospect '30s and '50s fashion trends, and then will design modern feminine look. 6. Ethnic look, the fashion trend after that condition will be accelated feminine look. This look with the feminine look will reveal rich, colorful, elegance feminine image. 7. In 1980s, activity and function in clothes were demanded. The clothes which are considered these condition will be demanded continuously. 8. The variety of fashion will appear as mixmode and new coordinate look in a clothes simultaneously in fashion of '90s. And these looks will creat mixed beauty. 9. Pop art, op art, graphic art will be not only development of textile but also movement of fashion soul in 1990s. The fashion behavior will be continuously scientificated.

From pathological view, Gwoleumbyeong(厥陰病) may be explained as extreme reduction of Gwoleumgyeonggi(厥陰經氣) due to immoderate Wihan(胃寒). Also, concerning regions of human body, Gwoleumbyeong has close relation to lower abdomen and genital, which are the origins of Gwoleum meridian[厥陰經]. Therefore, it is appropriate that the nature of Gwoleumbyeong be described as Hangeukyangul(寒極陽鬱), rather than Sangyeolhahan(上熱下寒), Hanyeolchakjap(寒熱錯雜). Sangyeolhahan, Hanyeolchakjap does not represent Gwoleumbyeong to the full extent, in a sense that the term views Hanyeol(寒熱) as two equal rank, whereas pathogenesis of Gwoleumbyeong depends on the sole extremity of Wihan(胃寒). The reason that the nature of sanghallon(傷寒論) be regarded as Sangyeolhahan, Hanyeolchakjap has been lying on the presupposition that whole symptoms of Hangwol (寒厥), Yeolgwol(熱厥), diarrhea[下利], vomiting[嘔吐] and hiccup, from "Gwoleumpyeon(厥陰篇)",may be categorized into Gwoleumbyeong. However, the symptoms described above do not show Gihwa(氣化) characteristic of Gwoleum(厥陰) and follow the regional distribution of Gwoleumbyeong, from which it can be pointed that those symptoms have no relation with Gwoleumbyeong. Ever since the theory of Yukgigihwa(六氣氣化) was used to comprehend and interpret "Sanghallon", Gwoleumbyeong has been thought as equivalence of Gwol(厥), which led to misunderstanding of Sangyeolhahan, Hanyeolchakjap. However, Gwoleumbyeong from "Sanghallon" has been argued in specific, through the historical practice of Sanghan(傷寒) as pathogen, particular state of meridian and correlation of meridian and Byeongjeung(病證).

Objectives : In this study, the relation of pathologic mechanisms of Samcho(三焦) in Hwangdineijing and Samcho-Sanghwa(三焦相火) is investigated for the purpose of understanding the concept of Samcho. Methods : The diseases and symptoms about Samcho(三焦) in Hwangdineijing and many important medical literatures including Sanghanlun(傷寒論) and Jinguiyaolue were selected and analyzed to overview the historical changes of pathologic mechanism about Samcho. Results : In comparison of the Pathologic Mechanisms of Samcho, the explanation of that in many medical literatures is different from that in Hwangdineijing, that is to say, the cause of diseases related to hyperactivity of Sanghwa became the main conditions of pathogenesis about Samcho while the blockage of qi stream through Samcho. Conclusions : The clinical expression of Samcho pathogenesis is fever with perspiration that means exhaustion of body fluid not only general fever of whole body.

Now that importance of landscape planning unique to each area is emphasized, it is necessary to conduct landscape planning by taking advantage of natural environments unique to each ares, because its natural environments are regarded as one of the assets the area possesses. This study targets at Kawachinagano City, Osaka, one of the residential areas that I not only rich in natural and historical elements, but also has been rapidly growing. The purposes of this study are to evaluate change in landscape structure over time by analyzing relation between landform and pattern of expanding the built-up area at three time points of 1932, 1967, and 1994 with GIS (ARC/INFO 7.0.3, ARC/View 3.0 (ESRI)), as well as to make some suggestions for planning landscape unique to the area. Data on main ridges, sub ridges, main rivers, and other landform were read from the elevation map, and data on woodland, and parks and open spaces (having more than 3 ha area) were read from the existing land use map. The data were used to understand the natural structure of the city from topographic viewpoint. Next, the existing land use map prepared with data on the built-up area and urban axes consisting of roads and streets were overlaid on the elevation map in order to understand relation between pattern of expanding the built-up area and the natural structure.

This article deals with the relation of korean animation and film policy from the late 1960s to early 1980s. The korean film policy was based on ideology of modernization. Animation industry was under the this policy. The result of effect of this film policy on animation was following. Firstly, there was the boom up of making of animation. Secondly was increasing of subcontract. The encouragement of exportation of government drove many companies to this trend. Lastly, many animations conspired to exercise the ideology of regime. Example was anti-communist animation. In that period the historical specificity of Korean animation had been built in these process.

The general tendency of approach to Korean Design History has been focusing its primary interest on the grand story in relation to the problems of modernization in political, economical and social aspects of Korea. In the discourse of modernization, however, there are two sides immanent in the modernization: there is the formal, institutional and authoritative modernization developed inside the capitalistic mode of production and the informal, individual and cultural modernization manifested in the mode of everyday lives. Especially, despite the viewpoint of the latter being embossed as an alternative approach in various areas including the academic world of history since the collapse of socialism, the historical recognition of the phenomena of modern design by the Korean design historians is more like the 'history from the above' that exists at the level of the discourse outside the reality rather than the 'history from the below' that exists within the ordinary life. To grant a sense of balance in such frame of historical understanding, it requires the restructuring the design history of Korea through the cultural perspectives from having the representation of mundane lives realized by the voluntary design activity of the common people as research subjects. One of the methods to acquire an answer to such problem is decoding, in the manner of 'cultural history', the life-long domestic artifact made by Madame Yang, Gap Jo (currently 87 years of age) who is a model of typical Korean mother. Through the historical rumination on the traces of unpretentious lives of the people that has been buried under the grand narrative of the Korean Design History, a new era aimed for the historical prospect of Korean design as cultural history will be possible by excavating the petit yet multi-layered meaning of Korean designs.

This study is for establishing an appraisal methodology to ensure the accountability of the parliament and to documentation the contemporary historical events related to the National Assembly. It is impossible to documentation comprehensively the activities of the National Assembly through the records schedule of the National Assembly, the current the disposal guidelines of the National Assembly. In particular, this is designed focusing on four affiliated organizations such as the National Assembly Secretariat, so there is a fundamental limit to documentation the outputs of various external agencies and areas where have relationships with the National Assembly. Therefore, it is hard to documentation comprehensively the various issues and historical events occurring in the National Assembly under the current appraisal system. In this situation, this study presents the appraisal methodology, the institutional functional analysis to ensure the accountability of the institution as a first step. However, only with the institutional functional analysis methodology, it is difficult to organize collectively the contemporary historical events or social events ongoing in relation to the fundamental functions of the National Assembly. For this reason, the subject oriented documentation methodology is designed that is the appraisal methodology of selecting the records related to the contemporary social phenomena and historical events according to the functional areas of the National Assembly derived from the institutional functional analysis methodology. Thereby, it is designed that the model of the documentation strategy applicable to the National Assembly in reality.

This study is to review the content organization and developmental ways of the unit on the mixed calculations and explore the alternatives on the basis of students' responsive examples and error patterns with relation to the mixed calculations, mnemonics of PEMDAS and historical context with relation to the order of operations. Then I analyzed the textbook and manual for teachers of the unit of mixed calculations of fourth grade and improvement about teaching the mixed calculations. First, I pointed out illogical connection between practical problem and rules of order of operations. Second, I suggested constructing a textbook by considering conventional character of order of operations. Third, I pointed out the importance of structural understanding of an expression of mixed calculations and various strategies with relation to teaching and learning. This study is suggestive for textbook development of the mixed calculations.
