The biodegradable mulching paper could be applied for the environmental friendly agriculture as an alternative to the current vinyl mulching. In order to increase the usability of the mulching paper, the effects of the addition of various inorganic materials on the functionality of the mulching paper were evaluated in terms of practical benefits. The blend of carbonized rice husk powder and perlite resulted in the higher value in the air permeability of the mulching paper, which would be important for the health of plant root. The heat conservative of the mulching paper could be improved by adding the bottom ash or the fly ash because of the pore structure of the ashes. The pH of acidic soil could be neutralized by using the mulching paper containing paper-mill sludge ash or fly ash. The various results showed the addition of the inorganic materials could improve the functional properties of the mulching paper.
In this study, Theta Gamma Coupling (TGC) analysis was carried out after performing simple and repeated upper limb exercise and comparative experiment to observe changes in the motor cortex of the brain through TGC and to see if mobile rehabilitation therapy is actually effective. As a result, exercise using mobile devices showed higher TGC values in motor cortex as compared with simple repeat upper limb exercise. In addition, paired t-test using SPSS showed statistically significant difference between exercise using mobile devices and simple repeat exercise at P3(t=3.390, df(degree of freedom)=12, p value=0.005). Exercise using mobile devices is effective for rehabilitation because it increases the Theta-Gamma Coupling and activates the motor cortex. Also, since the mobile game contents required the subject to detailed athletic ability adjustment with immersion in the task, it may be thought that brain activation is stronger than simple rehabilitation.
This paper is an overview of key elements of Korea National Open University's smart mobile learning system, and an attempt to evaluate its main services relative to the FRAME model and the Mobile Learning Development Model for distance learning in higher education. KNOU improved its system architecture to one based on xMOOC e-learning content delivery while also upgrading its PC-based online/mobile learning services to facilitate an easier and more convenient access to lectures and for better interactivity. From the users' viewpoint, the upgraded 'U-KNOU Campus' allows for a more integrated search capability coupled with better course recommendations and a customized notification service. Using the new system, the students can access not only the school- and peer-issued messages via online bulletin boards but also share information and pose questions to others including to the school faculty/officials and system administrators. Additionally, a new mobile payment method has been incorporated into the system so that the students can select and pay for additional courses from anywhere. In spite of these advances, the issue of device usability and content development remain; specifically U-KNOU Campus needs to improve its instructor-learner and learner-to-learner interactivity and mobile evaluation interface.
In this paper, the characteristics of peer-evaluation and self-evaluation of team activity participation in project-based learning and their usability were investigated. The characteristics of peer-evaluation and self-evaluation are as follows. First, in peer-evaluation and self-evaluation of project-based learning, the correlation between the two evaluation scores was very high. When students' scores from their peers correlate very well with the scores they give themselves, it means that they apply the same criteria to their peers and to themselves when evaluating team activity. Second, there was no difference in peer-evaluation and self-evaluation scores between groups with different written test scores. The fact that peer-evaluation and self-evaluation scores do not change according to academic ability shows that the two evaluation areas are independent. Third, the self-evaluation score in project-based learning is statistically significantly higher than the score received from peers. This raises doubts about the fairness of self-evaluation. Therefore, in this paper, it is suggested that self-evaluation of team activities in project-based learning is carried out together with peer-evaluation, but only peer-evaluation is reflected in credits.
This study tested SVM(support vector machine), RF(random forest), and ANN(artificial neural network) machine-learning models that can predict net irrigation water requirements in paddy fields. For the Jeonju and Jeongeup meteorological stations, the net irrigation water requirement was calculated using K-HAS from 1981 to 2021 and set as the label. For each algorithm, twelve models were constructed based on cumulative precipitation, precipitation, crop evapotranspiration, and month. Compared to the CE model, the R2 of the CEP model was higher, and MAE, RMSE, and MSE were lower. Comprehensively considering learning performance and learning time, it is judged that the RF algorithm has the best usability and predictive power of five-days is better than three-days. The results of this study are expected to provide the scientific information necessary for the decision-making of on-site water managers is expected to be possible through the connection with weather forecast data. In the future, if the actual amount of irrigation and supply are measured, it is necessary to develop a learning model that reflects this.
This study was carried out to verify the accuracy of fitness tracking devices in monitoring heart rate and energy consumption and to contribute to the development of a forest exercise program that can recommend the intensity and amount of forest exercises based on personal health-related data and provide monitoring and feedback on forest exercises. Among several commercially available wearable devices, Fitbit was selected for the research, as it provides Open API and data collected by Fitbit can be utilized by third parties to develop programs. Fitbit provides users with various information collected during forest exercises including exercise time and distance, heart rate, energy consumption, as well as the altitude and slope of forests collected by GPS. However, in order to verify the usability of the heart rate and energy consumption data collected by Fitbit in forest, the accuracy of heart rate and energy consumption were verified by comparing the data collected by Fitbit and reference. In this study, 13 middle-aged women were participated, and it was found that the heart rate measured by Fitbit showed a very low error rate and high correlation with that measured by the reference. The energy consumption measured by Fitbit was not significantly different from that measured in the reference, but the error rate was slightly higher. However, there was high correlation between the results measured by Fibit and the reference, therefore, it can be concluded that Fitbit can be utilized in developing actual forest exercise programs.
Background: Recent research on occupational injuries in companies has faced difficulties in obtaining representative data, leading to studies relying on surveys or case studies. Moreover, it is difficult to find studies on how a company's industry characteristics affect occupational injuries. This study aims to address these limitations. Methods: We collected 11 years of disclosure data from 1,247 listed companies in the Korean stock market and combined it with their occupational injury histories collected by the Republic of Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) to build a dataset. We attempted to analyze a linear panel model by dividing the dataset into manufacturing, construction, and other industries. Results: The higher proportion of full-time employees and better job skills correlate with lower occupational injuries in other industries. The wage increase reduces occupational injuries in manufacturing and other industries, but the substitution effect produces the opposite outcome in construction. Also, foreign ownership and credit ratings increase effectively reduce occupational injuries mainly in the manufacturing industry. Conclusion: Our results suggest that in explaining the relationship between corporate characteristics and occupational injuries, it is necessary to consider the nature of the industry more closely, and in particular, employment and labor policies for preventing occupational injuries need to be selectively applied according to industry. In addition, to improve the limitations and increase the usability of the research results, further detailed studies are needed in the future.

One recent notable method for real-time elimination of ionospheric errors in geodetic applications is the Predicted Global Ionosphere Map (PGIM). This study analyzes the level of accuracy achievable when applying the PGIM provided by the Center for Orbit Determination of Europe (CODE) to the Korean Peninsula region. First, an examination of the types and lead times of PGIMs provided by the International GNSS Service (IGS) Analysis Center revealed that CODE's two-day prediction model, C2PG, is available approximately eight hours before midnight. This suggests higher real-time usability compared to the one-day prediction model, C1PG. When evaluating the accuracy of PGIM by assuming the final output of the Global Ionosphere Map (GIM) as a reference, it was found that on days with low solar activity, the error is within ~2 TECU, and on days with high solar activity, the error reaches ~3 TECU. A comparison of the errors introduced when using PGIM and three solar activity indices-Kp index, F10.7, and sunspot number-revealed that F10.7 exhibits a relatively high correlation coefficient compared to Kp-index and sunspot number, confirming the effectiveness of the prediction model.

In today's worldwide environment, information systems (IS) usage is growing swiftly. As a result, it now affects every aspect of life and serves as a general growth tool for individuals, groups, and governments. information system success (ISS) is affected by customer satisfaction and their acceptance of using these services. In addition, this issue will be a critical thing for SMEs, especially in Saudi Arabia. SMEs have a shortage and lack IT experience and resources. The research's question is What are the ISS that will improve customer satisfaction and SME performance in Saudi Arabia. Through an online survey, The data on how Saudi SMEs succeed in IS was acquired. Citizens and residents users in Saudi Arabia, representing a range of ages and educational backgrounds. In the IS success factors evaluation, which assessed the degree of agreeability and disagreeability of specific statements related to the six dimensions based on the empirical data, it was found that the users agreed with the majority of the claims. For users, usability is the most important feature. This study discovered that enhancing the system's overall user experience might lead to higher overall satisfaction.
In recent years, the mandatory use of BIM has been actively promoted due to the digital transformation of the construction industry. However, the CDE (Common Data Environment) system, which is an essential element for operating BIM, has not been established in accordance with the domestic situation. To solve this problem, this study analyzed the results of previous studies, including the ISO 19650 standard and domestic CDE system requirements, and developed BIM-based collaboration functions that are suitable for the domestic construction industry through functional analysis of domestic and foreign commercial CDE solutions. And we developed a BIM collaboration framework to provide BIM-based collaboration functions as a service by using cloud technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS to provide infrastructure resources flexibly and flexibly. The BIM collaboration framework developed in this study meets most of the CDE requirements of ISO1965, so it can secure competitiveness when bidding for overseas BIM projects. Also, because the BIM collaboration functions can be selectively applied to build a BIM-based collaboration platform, it is expected that the utilization of the BIM collaboration framework will be high, as it can minimize not only the time to build the platform but also the operating costs, and the usability is higher than that of existing commercial BIM CDE solutions.
