공작기계용 주축계에 관한 열적거동 해석 (An analysis of the thermal behaviour on the spindle system for machine tools)

  • The thermal deformation of a machine tool spindle influences the performance of the manufacturing systems for precision products. In this research, thermal analysis of a high speed machine tool spindle with the rolling bearing and the built-in motor is carried out by using Finite Difference Method. The thermal boundary conditions describing the heat generation in the bearing and built-in motor are considered in the simulation. And various convective boundary conditions are assumed with the empirical formula in the references. From the simulation results, the characteristics of each element affecting the dynamic thermal behaviour of the machine tool spindle system have been clarified. Therefore, this model can be well applied to the future development of the high speed spindle systems.

  • Most of spindles for machine tool are supported by ball bearings, and there are problems in the limits of high speed and high power as well as the cumbersome maintenance due to the short life time. In order to overcome these problems of the conventional spindles, the high speed spindle with magnetic bearings is developed in this study. Magnetic bearings for 60 000 r/min class high-speed spindle are designed, and high speed spindle with magnetic bearings are fabricated. Based on the running test up to 60 000 r/min, it is verified that the spindle is stably supported by the magnetic bearings, and the magnitude of the unbalance response at 60 000 r/min is less than $3{\mu}m$.

  • Recently, the system of high speed milling(HSM) is widely used for reducing the operation time and maximizing efficiency of work. The most research of high speed milling system is still leaves much to be desired. Specially the research of mass pocket high speed processing with high precision is the first and probably the last. So this paper showed mass pocket processing of high precision with a duralumin and then confirmed a cause of inferior goods through the CAD/CAM pattern simulation and experimentation. And this paper showed high speed processing system reduce the rate of inferior from this optimal pattern.

  • Recently, as the demand for high efficiency, multi function machine tools is increasing, domestic machine tool industries are investing in research and development for precision machine tools with high speed. This trend is closely correlated with the design technique which is necessary to make new type machine tool compatible with new production system. To achieve high precision, high speed machine tools with reduced chatter, it is needed to develop dynamically rigid structure. In this paper, dynamic optimization of machine structure is presented. At this procedure of dynamic design, dynamic compliance is minimized using Simple Genetic Algorithm(SGA)

  • Recently a high speed spindle system for machine tools has attracted considerable attention to reduce the machining time, to improve the machining accuracy, to perform the machining of light metals and hard materials and to unite the cutting and grinding processes. In this study, a high speed spindle system is developed by applying the oil-air lubrication method, angular contact ball bearings, injection nozzles with dual orifices and so on. And a lubrication experiment for evaluating the performance of the spindle system is carried out. Especially, in order to establish the lubrication conditions related to the development of a high speed spindle system, the effects of oil supply rate, rotational spindle speed and so on are studied and discussed on the bearing temperature rise, bearing temperature distribution and frictional torque. And the effect of spindle system structure on the bearing temperature distribution is investigated.

  • A high speed spindle system for machine tools can be used to reduce the machining time, to improve the machining accuracy, to perform the machining of light metals and hard materials, and to unite the cutting and grinding processes. In this study, a high speed spindle system is developed by applying the oil-air lubrication method, angular contact ball bearings, injection nozzles with dual orifices, cooling jacket and so on. And an air cooling experiment for evaluating the performance of the spindle system is carried out. Especially, in ofder to establish the air cooling conditions related to the development of a high speed spindle system, the effects of cooling air pressure, oil supply rate, air supply rate and rotational spindle speed are studied and discussed on the bearing temperature rise and frictional torque. Also the effects of cooling air pressure, rotational spindle speed and spindle system structure is investigated on the bearing temperature distribution. The experiment on the test model reveals the usefulness of the air cooling method.

  • Recently, there are an increasing needs for high speed rotating spindle which is an important mechanical ele- ment for a high efficiency machine tool in order to shorten machining time and cut production costs. The heat gen- eration is the most important problem in the motor integrated spindle. In this study, the effects of temperature distribution and thermal behavior according to the oil-air lubrication and cooling conditions are investigate theo- retically and experimentally on the motor-integrated spindle under unloading condition. The experimental spin- dle system is composed with the angular contact steel ball bearings, oil-air lubrication, air or oil jacket cooling system. To analyze the thermal behavior and cooling characteristics for the motor integrated spindle, the analysis using the finite element method is carried out. The analytical results are compared with the experimental results.

초고속 태핑머신 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Ultra High-Speed Tapping Machine)

  • Tapping is a machining process that makes a female screw on parts to be assembly together. Recently, as the number of small and compact products increases the radius of tap as small as 1 mm is not unusual and more accurate tapping is needed. In complying with those needs, some high-speed tapping machines with synchronizing function have been developed. This paper describes the development of an ultra high-speed tapping machine up to 10,000rpm. The key factors in the tapping speed are the acceleration/deceleration and the synchronizing errors between spindle motor and fred motor. To minimize the acceleration/deceleration time, a low inertia spindle with a synchronous built-in servo motor was developed. To minimize the synchronizing errors, the tapping cycle algorithm was optimized on an open architecture CNC. The developed tapping machine has the acceleration/deceleration time of 0.13sec/10,000rpm for rigid tapping and the synchronizing error below 4.4%. The cycle time for tapping a female screw of M3 and depth 2 times diameter was 0.55sec.

  • 본 연구는 초고속 지능형 라인센터 개발에 관한 것으로서 1 차 년도 볼 스크류 방식의 시험모델에 대한 종합 검토 결과를 바탕으로 2 차 연도에는 리니어 모터를 채택한 라인센터의 시제품 설계에 있어서 고속화를 위한 방안을 모색하고 컴팩트한 경량의 구조를 지향하는 라인 센터 구조물을 설계하였고, 3 차 년도에는 라인센터의 제작 및 종합적인 시험 평가를 통하여 상품화 모델을 정립하고자 하였다.

  • This study presents the core contents and superiority of localized Point-Machine which Alstom transferred its technology to Samsung SDS for High Speed Rail, developed based on existing MJ8l Point-Machine that is used in France and other countries. The scope of study includes introducing performance improvement of Localized MJ8l and conducting comparative analysis between Localized MJ8l and french products as well as NS type Point-Machine that has been deployed in the existing rail link. Moreover, the general architecture, features and test run results of Localized MJ8l are described.
