Reduction of Conducted Emission in Interleaved RPWM Buck Converter (인터리브드 RPWM Buck 컨버터의 전도성 노이즈 감소에 대한 연구)

  • This paper presents a Interleaved Buck Converter(IBC) system with Random PWM to reduce electromagnetic noise by harmonics. Swithced mode power supply generally controlled by high switching frequency have a electromagnetic interference(EMI) issue due to the high-voltage/high-current switching to regulate the voltage in buck converter. To solve the problem. we present a novel IBC system with PRBS. IBC system has two active switches with 180 phase difference that controll the cicuit with two PWM signal. IBC system may be disadventageous for the cost due to the addtion of one set of switch, but it has adventages of power distribution, current ripple cancellation, fast transient response, and passive component size reduction. To verify the validity of study, simulation program has been bulit using PSIM and the experimental results of IBC system using RPWM was compared with the conventinal PWM and randomized PWM.

  • This paper used the majority function to digitally filter back-electromotive force as an explanation of the Brushless DC MOTOR control algorithm. The cause and improvement of motor noise, which are operating in close proximity to high frequency sources, did not use conventional low pass filter and comparator elements. Also, they repeatedly output a noise-free BEMF signal for the input value of the majority detection filtering. These filtering steps can help reduce costs and minimize the area of a PCB by requiring relatively little hardware.

  • Conventional pwm switching power supply have the disadvantage some aspects of size, light weight, noise and system stability. High frequency Series Resonant Converter (SRC), described in this paper, almost improve above disadvantages. We use the state plane technique as analysis method. This technique is powerful tool which can clearly analyze the peak stress of the state variables inside the converter, Here, we can define each operation mode from frequency ratio Fsn, switching frequency to resonant frequency, and we analyze the output performance in each operation mode. To verify the theoretical analysis, we compose the actual converter, and the experimental results are compared with analysis.

  • 최근 용접분야에서는 용접성능을 향상시키기 위하여 인버터회로를 용접기에 적용한 인버터 용접기에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다,. 그러나 범용의 인버터 용접기의 경우 다이오드 정류기를 사용함에 저차의 전류고조파가 발생하고 시스템 역율을 저하시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인버터 아크 용접기의 역율개선을 위한 PWM 컨버터에 관하여 연구하여 입력전류의 저차 고조파를 저감하였고 전원전압과 동상으로 전원전류를 제어함에 의한 단위 역율형 인버터 용접기의 특성을 해석하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 에너지 절약, 용접 특성, 역율, 사용율, 크기 및 부피 등의 관점에서 인버터 아크용접기의 응용연구 및 실험적 분석을 수행하였고 용접기 시스템에서 발생하는 전기적 노이즈를 억제하고 전력용 반도체 소자를 보호할 목적으로 새로운 노이즈 차폐변압기를 채택하였다. 이상의 전체시스템은 싱글칩 마이크로 프로세서를 이용한 디지털 제어기로 구현함으로서 제어기의 유연성과 기능의 다양화를 추구하였다.

  • In this paper, we present a design of PWM-controlled driving device for backlights in LED systems. The system can control either the brightness of the entire screen of backlights of LCD driven by LED or illumination or contrast of each partial segment of the entire screen. The PWM-controlled driving device includes the shift register that shifts the series data according to the clock signal prior to the generation of parallel data. It is also is comprised of a number of registers, a number of counters, a number of comparators, and a number of synchronizing gates (producing the PWM-controlled signals). The proposed device for backlights in LED systems can generate the PWM-controlled signal with a high degree of resolution without the increase of clock frequency. It also contains the PWM-controlled circuit that disperses and restrains the quantized noise.

  • The switching-mode power converter has been widely used because of its features of high efficiency and small weight and size. These features are brought by the ON-OFF operation of semiconductor switching devices. However, this switching operation causes the surge and EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) which deteriorate the reliability of the converter themselves and entire electronic systems. This problem on the surge and noise is one of the most serious difficulties in AC-to-DC converter. In the case of carrier frequency selection, output-voltage of steady state and transient state is fully regulated. A RPWM control method was proposed in order to smooth the switching noise spectrum and reduce it's level. Experimental results are verified by converter operating at 300V/1kW with 5%${\sim}$30% white noise input. Spectrum analysis is performed on the Phase current and the CM noise voltage. The former is measured with Current Probe and the latter is achieved with USN. which are connected to the spectrum analyzer respectively.

  • RPWM(Random Pulse Width Modulation) techniques have been attracting an interest as an excellent reduction method of acoustic noise on the inverter drive system. Using randomly changed switching fre-quency of the inverter, the power spectrum of the electromagnetic acoustic noise can be spread out into the wide-band area. The wide band noise is much more comfortable and less annoying than the narrow-band one. This paper describes an implementationof the triangular carrier frequency modultde RPWM inverter drive system The poweer soedtrum of the noise emittde from the induction motro was measured in the anechoic chamber. The analysis of the sources for the acoustic noise and the effects of the noise reduction are confirmed by the ceasured dpectra of the noise. Real-time RPWM along with the speed control was achieved by high speed DSP(Digital Signal Processor ) TmS320C31, By changing the center frequency and the bandwidth of the carrier, theis real-time RPWM scheme can be used as an efficient switching frequency band acoustic noise reduction method for the inverter system with variant load conditions.

  • This paper presents a high-frequency ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter with a single active auxiliary edge resonant snubber in the load-side which can be designed for power conditioners such as solar photovoltaic generation, fuel cell generation, battery and super capacitor energy storages. Its principle operation in steady-state is described in addition to a prototype setup. The experimental results of ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter proposed here, are evaluated and verified with a practical design model in terms of its switching voltage and current waveforms, the switching v-i trajectory, the temperature performance of IGBT module, the actual power conversion efficiency and the EMI of radiated and conducted emissions. And then discussed and compared with the hard switching scheme from an experimental point of view. Finally, this paper proposes a practical method to suppress parasitic oscillation due to the active auxiliary resonant switch at ZCS turn off mode transition with the aid of an additional lossless clamping diode loop, and reduced the EMI conducted emission in this paper.

  • The HVAC(Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning) system is controlled by two ways, one is ON/OFF control and the other is PWM inverter with V/F. Control of blower with the use of PWM inverter has quite some benefits such as the capability of changing speed, high efficiency and reduced noise level compared with ON/OFF control. But if blower is operated at low speed, high THD generated by decrease of ma, and output voltage lowered in proportion to frequency. To solve these problems, filter should be installed at the output stage of inverter, which can decrease THD but has problems such as increase of volume size and additional braking resistance. This paper proposes the PWAM method which can reduce THD instead of installing the filter at the output stage of inverter. The proposed PWAM method is an inverter modulation method that fixes the modulation index of inverter to reduce THD by varying DC link voltage of inverter unlike conventional PWM method. Finally, the validity of proposed PWAM methods verified by experiments.

  • This paper deal with problems of leakage current, shaft voltage, bearing current, and EMI, in valiable-speed AC drives. The originating mechanism is illustrated with a high-frequency equivalent circuit. Reduction methods are classified in to six categories based on the equivalent circuit. Some experimental results show that a common-mode transformer (CMT) and a common-noise canceler (ACC) can solve the problems, which have been proposed the authors.
