초임계 압력상태에서 기체수소/액체산소 국소화염구조 해석 (Analysis for Local Structure of Gaseous Hydrogen/liquid Oxygen Flame at Supercritical Pressures)

  • Significant real fluid behaviors including rapid property changes take place where high pressure combustion devices such as rocket engines. The flamelet model is the reliable approach to account for the real fluid effects. In the present study, the flamelet equations are extended to treat the general fluids over transcritical and supercritical states. The real fluid flamelet model is carried out for the gaseous hydrogen and cryogenic liquid oxygen flames at the wide range of thermodynamic conditions. Based on numerical results, the precise discussions are made for effects of real fluid, pressure, and differential diffusion on the local flame structure.

유압식 차동제한장치의 유동 및 토크해석 (Flow and torque analysis of hydraulic limited slip differential system)

  • The hydraulic LSD which uses the principle of gear pump is packed with viscous oil in tight container. When a slip occurs on one wheel, the hydraulic LSD generates torque caused by high oil pressure in the container. In this study, two dimensional(2-D) side pinion gear model was developed for hydraulic LSD. Using that model the flow analysis was conducted to preestimate pressure distributions of the side pinion gear according to the variations in the design factors such as oil viscosity, gear gap and rpm. Then, applying the obtained pressure distributions on the side pinion gear, finite element analysis was conducted to evaluate the torque characteristics. From the analysis results, the torque characteristics according to the design factor variations were evaluated.

제주지역 고층건축물에서의 바람의 영향이 굴뚝효과에 미치는 영향 분석 (서울과 제주지역간의 비교 분석) (Influence of Stack Effect in High-Rise Buildings on Wind Effect in Jeju (Comparative Analysis of Seoul and Jeju))

  • 본 연구에서는 상대적으로 바람이 강한 제주지역에서 바람의 영향이 고층건축물의 굴뚝효과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하기 위해 서울소재 고층건축물을 대상으로 서울과 제주지역에서의 지형 및 기상조건을 각각 대입하여 CONTAM 모델링을 실시하였다. 굴뚝효과에 의한 차압은 수직샤프트의 높이와 실내 외 온도차의 함수로서 같은 높이의 건축물에서는 겨울철 서울보다 상대적으로 외기온도가 따뜻한 제주지역에서의 차압이 서울지역의 60% 정도에 그쳐 비교적 안정적인 것으로 판단되어 왔다. 그러나 제주도는 섬지역으로서 서울보다 강한 바람의 영향에 의해 중성면이 56% 이상 큰 폭으로 상승하는 현상을 보였는데, 이는 비록 제주지역이 서울보다 굴뚝효과에 의한 차압은 적게 나타날지라도 상승된 중성면에 의해 저층부에서 형성되는 부압의 영역이나 크기는 넓고 크게 나타나 위험성이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 판단되었다.

화포 약실 내 차압 감소를 위한 점화제 주입 연구 (Study on Ignition-gas Injection for Decrease of Differential Pressure in Chamber of Cannon)

  • 1-D 강내탄도 전산해석 코드인 IBcode를 이용하여 점화제 주입유량 조절을 통한 화포 약실 내 차압 감소방안 연구를 수행하였다. 대구경 화포의 경우 추진제의 점화를 위해 고온의 점화제를 뇌관의 주입구를 통해 약실에 주입시킨다. 따라서 각 주입구를 통해 주입되는 점화제의 유량이 약실 내 추진제의 연소에 영향을 미치게 된다. 기존의 뇌관의 경우 각 주입구의 점화제 유량이 일정하게 설계되어 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 각 주입구에서의 점화제 유량을 다르게 하여 추진제의 연소에 차이를 주었다. 해석 결과 점화제 주입유량을 탄저 쪽 방향으로 증가시킬 경우 점화제 주입유량이 일정할 경우에 비해 강내 차압이 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • It is widely noted that pressure feedback systems have been devised to damp the fluid resonance effectively in precision speed control-for large inertia system. A compensation technique preserving the natural output disturbance discrimination characteristics at lower frequencies is proposed The load pressure across positive displacement acceleration. The technique involves feeding back load differential pressure, sensed by pressure transducers, though a simple analog compensatory circuit (high pass filter). The effectiveness of the damping is determined by the filter time donstant and loop gain. Nonlinear total hydraulic simulation results verify the possibility of linear model predictions of extending the closed loop bandwidth beyond the uncompensated frequency.

  • The conventional control valves have been used at the locations occurring high differential pressure and high temperature which causes cavitation, flashing, severe vibration due to abrupt flow change, and sudden pressure drop. Previous studies concerning control valves focused to prevent damage of valve trim due to the internal leak and low flow rate. The newly designed helical trim of control valve has been installed at the location of high pressure change and high temperature in a power plant, and operated for evaluation. It is confirmed that the new control valve developed in this study generates flow characteristics in comparison with previous helical trim of control valves.

  • 디젤 엔진의 배기가스 유량을 측정하기 삼각 분리 막대형 차압유량계를 개발하였다. 3 종류의 삼각 막대형 차압유량계를 제작하였고 실험 평가하였다. 삼각 막대형 외부형상이 유선형에 가까울수록 차압유량계에서의 상류부 와 하류부의 차압이 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 삼각막대형 차압유량계를 사용하여 고온 및 상온 조건에서 유량 검정을 하였다. 고온 조건에서의 유량계 검정을 위해 버너를 제작하였다. 삼각막대형 상류부 및 하류부 간의 차압과 질량 유량의 실험식을 구했다. 또한 실험식은 기체 온도에 의한 보정을 포함하고 있다.

Evaluation of Liquid Pressure Amplifier Technology

  • Liquid pressure amplifiers have been proposed as an energy saving technology for vapor compression refrigeration systems configured with direct-expansion evaporators. The technology utilizes a refrigerant pump in the high pressure liquid line as a means of maintaining a suitable pressure differential across the expansion valve while lowering condensing pressure to achieve the reduction of compressor energy consumption. Applications have been proposed on systems ranging from small unitary air-conditioning to large supermarket and commercial refrigeration systems. This paper clarifies the role of such a device in a vapor compression refrigeration system. Limitations are presented and discussed. Finally, results of detailed analyses are presented to quantify the energy consumption both with and without a liquid pressure amplifier in a unitary air conditioning system. The estimated energy savings associated with the installation of a liquid pressure amplifier are minimal.

  • In this paper, we developed a system to monitor the storage capacity of suction-type device such as vacuum cleaner or crop harvesters. The monitoring system consists of load cells and a differential pressure sensor which simultaneously monitor the weight and volume of the stock. Since weighing objects stored in storage containers alone cannot fully monitor the level of filling, more accurate monitoring can be achieved by monitoring volume and fusion with weight information. The volume was monitored using a phenomenon in which the flow rate of the inhaled air varies depending on the volume of the object filled in the storage container. In this paper, we developed a system to monitor the storage in three stages: low, medium and high.

차압에 따른 PCV 밸브 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flow Characteristics in a PCV valve according to Various Differential Pressures)

  • As environmental problems are important, automotive industries are developing various techniques to prevent air pollution. One of these is Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system. It removes blowby gas which includes about 30% hydrocarbon of total generated quantity. In this system, a PCV valve is attached in a manifold suction tube to control the flow rate of blowby gas which generates differently according to various operating conditions of an automotive engine. As this valve is very important, designers are feeling to design it because of both small size and high velocity. For this reason, we numerically investigated to understand both spool dynamic motion and internal fluid flow characteristics. As the results, spool dynamic characteristics, i.e. displacement, velocity, acting force, increase in direct proportion to the magnitude of differential pressure and indicate periodic oscillating motions. And, the velocity at the orifice region decreases according to the increase of differential pressure because of energy loss which is caused by the sudden decrease of flow area at the orifice region and the increase of flow volume in the front of spool head. Finally, the mass flow rate at the outlet decreases with the increase of spool displacement. We expect that PCV valve designers can easily understand fluid flow inside a PCV valve with our visual information for their help.
