The purpose of this study were to examine the difference of the effect of CAI and students’attitude to Home Economics Class through CAI. 120 girl students of the first year were chosen at B middle school in Daegu. Among them each 30 students were classified into 4 groups; High Intelligence group/Individual learning pattern, High Intelligence group/Small group learning pattern, Low Intelligence group/Individual learning pattern, Low Intelligence group/Small group learning pattern. The task of learning was “management of washing”Unit of the second grade. The data were processed with Cronbach’s ${\alpha}$, t-test, ANOVA by SPSS/PC(sup)+. The research findings are as follows: 1. In the verification of CAI Learning effect according to student group pattern, there is no difference between Individual learning pattern and Small group learning pattern in Achivement and Retention of learning. 2. In the verification of CAI Learning effect according to student intelligence level, there is no difference between High Intelligence group and Low Intelligence group in Achivement and Retention of learning. 3. The result of students’attitude to Home Economics Class verificated is an follows. (1) Individual learning pattern is more attensive than Small group learning pattern, but there is no difference in Intelligence level. (2) Low Intelligence group is more positive than High Intelligence group, and Small group learning pattern is more positive than Individual learning pattern in a view of Home Economics Class after using CAI.

In this study, the attitudes of about 1200elementary and secondary students towards sciences lessons and scientists were investigated. For the survey of this study, simillar numbers of students in Seoul were selected from the 5th, 8th and 11th grades and from both sexes. For the attitudes towards science lessons, in the survey questionnaire, there were questions on the type of science lesson which students prefer and on student's assessment of science lessons which they receive. For the attitudes towards scientists, there were questions on scientists whom students respect, on students assessment of scientists and on students assessment of themselves. Results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) A great majority of students prefered the laboratory-based to classroom-based lessons, but this tendency was less apparent in olderstudents.More boys, compared with girls, prefered laboratory-based study. (2) The student's assessment of science lessons was positive in the elementary school, neutral in the middle school and negative in the high school level. Boys showed more positive attitudes towards the study of science. (3) Apparently more girls than boys mentioned Madam Curie as a scientist whom they respect, Students tended to respect scientists in terms of their personalities rather than their cognitive abilities. (4) Students tended to assess that scientist's are more able than themselves in cognitive areas while themselves are better in affective areas. The gap between student's asessments of scientists and that of themselves became bigger in high school students. The gap between boy's assessments of themselves and girl's assessments of themselves was bigger in high school level than in middle school. (5) The decline of students attitude towards science lessons was bigger than their attitude towards scientists.
Due to the fast changing social and physical environment, the clothing behaviour of elementary school students should have been changed. Since previous research was completed a long time ago, new research must be conducted to understand the relationships of the clothing behaviour of elementary school students in terms of the time of research, gender and grades. Third and sixth grades in Susan were sampled in 2002; the secondary data in 1988 was used. Factor analysis and Lisrel's group analysis were conducted. The results indicated as follows: 1. As there was an increased interest in clothes, the comfort of the clothes was decreased at the higher grades in 1988, and the low and high grades in 2002, and the clothes of boys in high grade increased in the manageability in 2002, but nor with boy students in the low grade neither all types of students in 1988. 2. As there was an increased manageability in clothes, all types of girl students became more independence in choosing their own clothes. However, boy students in the low and high grades only increased their independence in choosing their own clothes in 1988. 3. As there was an increased comfort of clothes, there was not a significant relationship with the independence of students for choosing their clothes concerning the gender, the grades and the period of research. 4. As there was an increased interest in clothes, the low grade girl and boy students in 1988 increased in their independence in choosing their clothes. However, the high grade boy students in 1988 significantly decreased their independence. Thus there are different results in the clothing behavior in the elementary school student concerning the time of study, gender and grades.

The Purposes of this study are first to develop the teaching and learning plan for the dress part in high school's Home Economics by the application of the values clarification theory then to apply it to the classroom activities. and lastly to analyze its effects. We developed the master plan for teaching and learning, and developed the 12 hour sub plans including 7 activities and learning materials. The effects of the teaching are as followings: First, When the self-esteem was compared with the whole classes, there was no difference between the twos, but a boy and a girl who were observed as not making a value-oriented life marked higher score in answering the self-esteem. Second. It was found that values clarification theory made student's degree of participation and interest higher and helped them to choose their dresses in the real life.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the differences of the mathematics anxiety and mathematical achievement of high school students according to gender and grade, and to find out which mathematics anxiety causes have more influence on mathematical achievement and how much it is. The subjects of this study consist of 459 students selected for a class of unit, in high schools located in Seoul, Korea. Huh(1996)'s Mathematics Anxiety Scale was used. The collected data were analyzed by using the 24.0 SPSS program. The data were also tested by using the t-test, correlation and multiple regression. The major results of this study were as follows: Firstly, there was no difference in mathematics score according to gender, but mathematics anxiety was higher in girl students. Mathematics score and mathematics anxiety have significantly related each other. Boy students' mathematics scores were significantly explained by interest, Mathematical Achievement factor, and mathematical confidence factor. For girl students, mathematics achievement factor, interest were the significant predictors. Secondly, mathematical anxiety and mathematics scores were correlated in the first and third grades, and the variables that predict mathematics scores significantly in all grades were interest.
The aim of this study was to assess adolescents' sexuality and to gather student opinions on current school-based sex education in South Korea. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted in Seoul, Incheon, and Kyunggi Province to assess the status and needs of high school sexuality education. Survey data was obtained from 1,130 senior high school students. The rates of sexual intercourse for boys and girls were 33.1% and 13.2% respectively. Boys were more likely to be sexually involved (p = .000) and experienced earlier at first sexual intercourse than girls (p = .006). Among students who had sexual intercourse, only 20.3% (21.1% of boys and 19.1% of girls) used contraceptives at first sexual intercourse. The proportion of respondents who had had sexual intercourse was higher among those with poor self-perceived academic performance (p = .000). The proportion was also higher among those with a boy or girl friend (p = .000). Other risk-taking behaviors such as smoking and drinking were associated with sexual activity (p = .000). This study found that most students were not satisfied with sex education because of teachers' lack of information and skills in delivering it. Most teachers providing sex education were not qualified and/or trained. They should receive adequate training and guidelines for the training. Training should also give teachers time to practice and become comfortable in delivering it.
The purposes of this study is to examine the degree of dysmenorrhea and self-management of dysmenorrhea in high school girls and to provide basic information for health education. This research is the contents of the characteristics and self-management of dysmenorrhea and thereby serve to provide some theoretical grounds for the health education of high school-girl students. The subjects of this study are the 376 girl students of a high school in Taegu. This study was conducted by collecting data from April 3rd to 7th, 2000. The instruments used for this study by the researcher of this study based on Choi, Myung-Ok's (1992) menstrurational symtom scale (8 items) and factors used to dysmenorrhea scale (5 items). Health locus of control is obtained from a review of references by the researcher, Sin Jae Sin (1985) translated Multidimensional health Locus of Control scale (18 items) were made by Wallston & Wallston (1976). The collected data was analysed by mean, percent, Chi-squre test, Fisher's Exact Test using the SPSS (v 6.12) and SAS program. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The characteristics of dysmenorrhea were low abdominal pain, fatigue, back pain, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. 2. The degree of dysmenorrhea was shown 'a few of discomfort experiment': 73%, late, leaving early and absent for school : 4.0%. 3. By means locus of control, internal health locus of control was shown 79.5% and external health locus of control was shown 20.5%. 4. The self-management of dysmenorrhea was shown 'massaging on the abdomen and bed rest' is 31.9%, 'tolerance' is 53.5%. 5. When the characteristics of dysmenorrhea was compared with demographics, low abdominal pain was significant of the number of siblings (p<.05), the family history (mother's dysmenorrhea)(p<.01) and back pain was significant of the age, family history, low abdominal pain (p<.05, p<.01, p<.01). 6. There was no significant of the locus of control. When the self-management of dysmenorrhea was compared with demographics, the age was significant (p<.05).
This study was conducted in order to contribute to female student health by providing fundamental data for health instruction and health counsel. The purpose of this study is to determine the frequency of PMS by a menstrual distress questionnaire, and determine sex-identity factors related to PMS. The data were collected by a questionaire conducted from December 1,1995 to December 20, 1995. The subjects of research were 1,102 high school students in Seoul. The data analyzed was done using the SPSS PC+, and the results were as follows; 1. The perceived subjective symptoms were clusted behavioral change, negative affects, pain, impaired concentration, water retention and autonomic reactions. The most common symtoms during the period of 2 to 10 days before menses were vaginal discharge(79%), back pain(70.4%), nervous tension(60.8%), fatigue(56.2%), abdominal bloating(54.5%), mood change(52.8), pelvic pain(46.8%), resistance to study(45.9) and talking(43.3). 2. There was a significant correlation between the clusters symptoms; negative affects and behavioral changes(r=.9326, p=.000), behavioral changes and impaired concentration (r=.8572, p=.000), negative affects and impaired concentration(r=.8411, p=.000) and autonomic reaction and pain(r=.7267, p=.000). 3. Sex-identity factors were related to PMS ; perception of the female(F=5.1811, p=.006) and pregnancy concerns (T=3.54, p=.000).

This styudy analyzed the main bodies, marginal space, Position of the main bodies of curent textbooks in high schools and "the eriteria of reading system for textbooks" which was sugested the Department of Education and Provided some sugestions for the improvement. The research methods used for the study were both literature review and survey rdsdarch with a questionaire. Inorder to research for the main body of textbook, space of margin, the optimum position fo the main body, sizes of litters, spaces between letters, words, lines length of lines, sizes of main body and margin, and margin, and postitionof main body were checked through a related literature review. For the questionaire experiment, a questionaire based on data drawn from analysis of textbooks, "criteria for reading system of textbook" sugested by the Department of Education, and some suggestions for improvement by the researcher was made and used for the test, targetting 384 body and girl students in high schools.
The purpose of this study was to provide information on goal setting for elementary oral-health education. The subjects in this study were 513, fourth and sixth graders from an elementary school located in the city of Iksan, north Jeolla province. It investigated the interrelation of the knowledge regarding the oral health of the elementary school student and conduct and with afterwords it got a same conclusion.: 1. The oral health knowledge degree of the investigation object people in 14 perfect score is not high is not with 8.77, the school girl oral health knowledge degree is higher the south student and than it was visible the difference which considers. 2. Also the student one recording oral health knowledge degree which is school dental health education experience appeared highly, considers statistically the difference which it was visible. 3. Oral health behavior degree the result which it investigates at 5 Likert scales, the whole average is not high was not with 3.13, it followed considers the difference which it was visible in grade. 4. The student one recording oral health behavior degree where the oral health knowledge is high appears highly, it was visible the difference which oral health knowledge and conduct considers. 5. Oral health knowledge and oral health behavior and school dental health education experience was a just fanshaped higher officer and the oral health knowledge degree was high and highly the possibility of knowing the burden there was also oral health behavior. 6. Relationship without the necessity of school oral health disappointment necessity and the oral healthy charge teacher was recognizing in gender and grade.
