High Frequency Permeability Measurement of Magnetic Films (자성막의 고주파 투자율 측정)

  • We introduced and compared the two methods, 'figure-8 coil method' and 's-parameter method', to measure high frequency permeability of magnetic films. We made a permeameter by using s-parameter method and discussed about problems and solutions in measuring permeability. We can measure the permeability rapidly and exactly up to 200 MHz with the aid of computer program and the low level permeance detection limit is about $1\mu\textrm{m}$.

A Study on the high frequency properties of Mn-Zn ferrite with Nd2O3 addition (Nd2O3 첨가에 따른 Mn-Zn ferrite의 고주파 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The effects of$ Nd_2$$O_3$addition on the properties of Mn-Zn ferrite were investigated in the doping concentration range from 0.05 to 0.25 wt%. All samples were prepared by standard fabrication of ferrite ceramics. With increasing the Neodymium oxides, specific density and initial permeability increased on the whole. But, the tendencies such as upper result had the measured value on limitation and characteristics saturated or decreased properties after that. With increasing the content of Neodymium oxides. both the real and imaginary component of complex permeability and the magnetic loss(tan$\delta$) increased. Because reason that magnetic loss increases is high ratio that a real department increases than imaginary department. Magnetic loss increased none the less for increasing the real department related with magnetic permeability. But, the magnetic loss of ferrite doped with the Neodymium oxides were lower than that of none doped Mn-Zn ferrite. The small amount of percent Neodymium oxides in Mn-Zn ferrite composition led to enhancement of resistivity in bulk, and more so in the grain boundary.

  • In this study, we found structure-property relationship for pressure retarded osmosis (PRO) membrane, between BPS-XX and BisA-XX having similar structure but different free volume. And this comparison was subdivided by controlling its sulfonation degree. BPS-XX and BisA-XX were prepared via a polycondensation reaction. The degree of sulfonation were 20 to 60 mol.%. And they were fabricated to membrane. Characteristics were analyzed to verify of free volume. And the results showed that increase of free volume normally lead to increase permeability and decrease selectivity in equivalent molecule structure. Finally, in the permeability-selectivity results, we conclude high permeability and selectivity membrane can be prepared by controlling molecular structure and free volume.

Microstructure and Mgnetic Properties of Electrodeposited Nanocrystalline Low-Nickel Permalloy (전착법으로 제조한 나노결정질 저Ni 퍼멀로이의 미세 조직과 자기적 특성)

  • Microstructural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe-46 wt%Ni and Fe-36 wt%Ni alloys were investigated. Alloys were prepared by the electrodeposition process. The electrolytes were iron sulfate/nickel chloride-based and iron chloride/nickel sulfamate-based solutions. Fe-46 wt%Ni alloy was FCC structure with grain size of 10 nm, but FCC and BCC phases were found in Fe-36 wt%Ni alloy and its grain size was smaller. Effective permeability of Fe-36 wt%Ni alloy was higher than that of Fe-46 wt%Ni alloy in the high frequency range because of large electrical resistivity and small eddy current loss resulted from grain size decrease. Up to $300^{\circ}C$ of annealing temperature, grain growth of Fe-Ni alloys slowly occured. Conversely, annealing above $450^{\circ}C$ led to a drastic grain growth. In that case, effective permeability was decreased at the temperature lower than $300^{\circ}C$ but at $300^{\circ}C$ or higher effective permeability was increased. At the high frequency of 1 MHz, electrodeposited Fe-Ni alloys had higher effective permeability with an decrease in the grain size.

Performance and Characterization of Ceramic Membrane by Phase Inversion-Extrusion Process with Polymer Binder Mixing (상전이-압출 알루미나 분리막 제조 공정에서 혼합 고분자 바인더 적용에 따른 성능 및 특성 평가)

  • Ceramic membranes are generally used for various industrial processes operating under extreme conditions because of its high thermal and chemical stability. However, due to the trade-off phenomenon of permeability and mechanical strength, preparation of high permeability-high strength membrane is necessary. In this study, the change in characteristics and performances of ceramic membranes was analyzed depending on the type of polymer binder and its mixing ratio. Because the solubility between solvent and polymer binder was higher in PSf (polysulfone) than in PES (polyethersulfone), the viscosity and discharge pressure of the PSf-based dope solution were higher than those of PES-based dope solution. When PSf was used as a polymer binder, ceramic membrane showed high mechanical strength and low water permeability due to the dense structure. On the other hand, in case of PES, the mechanical strength was slightly reduced and the water permeability was increased. It was confirmed that the optimum mixing ratio of the PSf and PES with high water permeability and mechanical strength was 9:1.

Heat ,rind Moisture Transfer Properties of Fabrics for Korean Folk Clothes (시판 한복지의 열.수분이동 특성)

  • This study was carried out to obtain some fundamental data for designing thermally comfortable Korean folk clothes (KFC) which were classified into 4 groups according to seasons and materials. It was conducted to find the relationship among structural, thermal, and moisture transfer properties, and then the properties of heat and mositure transfer while changing thickness of air layer of selected similar fabrics with various thickness were examined. The summarized results of this study were as follows ; 1. The relationship between the structrual and thermal properties showed high positive correlation with thickness SE thermal insulation value (TIV), porosity & TIV. 2. The relationship between the structural and mositure transfer properties showed high negative correlation with thickness & moisture vapor permeability (Mp), porosity & Mp respectively. 3. The relationship between the heat and moisture transfer properites showed high negative correlation with qmax, air permeability (Ap), Mp & TIV while showed high positive with Ap & Mp respectively. 4. Resistance to dry heat transfer according to thickness of air layer for KFC was increassed rapidly up to 2 mm and above this increasing rate was reduced. Resistance to evaporative heat transfer was remarkable changes in 6∼8 mm but slowly in 6∼8 man. 5. Mioisture permeability index (i) according to thickness of air layer for KFC showed the greatest value at 2 mm but had not difference between groups according to thickness.

Preparation and Properties of Ni-Zn Ferrite by Coprecipitation Method (공침법에 의한 Ni-Zn Ferrite의 제조 및 물성연구)

  • Ni-Zn ferrite powder was obtained by wet method that was to be coprecipitated the metal nitrates, Fe($NO_3$)$_3$$9H_2$O, Ni($NO_3$)$_2$$6H_2$O, Zn($NO_3$)$_2$$6H_2$O to make a high permeability material. The composition of the ferrite powder was $Fe_2$$O_3$ 52 mol%, NiO 14.4 mol%, ZnO 33.6 mol%. Ni-Zn ferrite powder was compounded by precipitating metal nitrates with NaOH in vessel at the synthetic temperature of $90^{\circ}C$ for 8 hours. Calcination temperature and sintering temperature were $700^{\circ}C$ and $1150^{\circ}C$$1250^{\circ}C$, respectively, for 2 hours. And the other ferrite powder was also prepared by the wet ball milling that was to be mixed the metal oxides as same as the above chemical composition. We studied the properties of the powder and the electromagnetic characteristics of the sintered cores obtained from there two different processes. Wet direct process produced smaller particle size with narrower distribution of the size and more purified ferrite whose sintered cores had high permeability and high magnetization.

  • The properties of ferrite bead, a low-pass filter, are determined by the frequency dispersion of the complex permeability. In this study, frequency dispersion of complex permeability of the Ni-Zn ferrites with different Ni/Zn ratio were investigated. Relationship between the behavior of filter and dispersion of complex permeability of a ferrite was studied. As a result, it was concluded that the compositions for Ni/Zn ratio of $0.41{\sim}0.47$, having high initial permeability and good sensitivity, were favorable as a ferrite bead filter.

  • This study represents the numerical analysis of natural convection of a microenvironments with a air permeability in the clothing air-layer. The clothing air layer of shoulder and arm was used for numerical analysis model. As a numerical analysis method, we adopted a finite volume method for two-dimensional laminar flow, and analyzed the flow and thermal characteristics of velocity, temperature and concentration in the air layer between body and clothing. As a temperature boundary conditions, we considered that a body skin has a high temperature with $34^{\circ}C$ the environmental temperatures are $5,\;15\;and\;25^{\circ}C$ for various permeability coefficients. The distributions of concentration, temperature and velocity were showed that two large cells were. formed at horizontal and vertical air layer, respectively. As the temperature difference between body skin and environment decrease, the heat transfer was decreased rapidly.

  • In this study, to confirm corrosion of reinforced concrete affected by carbonation, chloride ion diffusion, absorption ratio, air permeability, measured carbonation velocity coefficient, chloride ion diffusion coefficient, absorption coefficient, air permeability coefficient. Corrosion velocity under environment of complex deterioration. And than compared corrosion velocity with these coefficients. As the results of this study, the correlation coefficient between chloride ion diffusion coefficients and absorption coefficient was revealed that it is very high. As well, an increase in carbonation, chloride ion diffusion also increases corrosion velocity. It showed that corrosion velocity was affected by the carbonation, chloride ion diffusion, absorption ratio, air permeability. Generally, data on the development of these coefficient made with none, organic B, organic A, inorganic B, and inorganic A is shown. It showed that coating of surface prevent steel bar from deteriorating.
