  • It is required the electronic commerce system for satisfying the various information needs of user groups on the high speed communication networking. However, its information amounts will be explosive, and make it difficult for users to locate information they are interested in. Therefore we have developed the architecture of information searching platform for electronic commerce which searches and gathers information about electronic commerce site on internet and builds the keywords index database for serving the client's requests in order to provide non-professionals and small companies etc., with access easily to retrieval information.

  • Korean military is developing the next generation military satellite communications system in order to achieve the requirements of future military satellite communication such as high speed, high capacity, survivability, all IP networking, and on-the-move. In this paper, we survey and analyze the research interests about optimal resource allocation and IP networking such as MF-TDMA, random access, satellite IP routing, and PEP. Conventional researches have focused on the increase in channel throughput and efficiency. In addition to these measurements, we consider heterogeneous satellite terminals, full mesh topology, distributed network, anti-jamming, and the like which are the special characteristics of the next generation military satellite communications system. Based on this, we present key research issues and evaluation on the issues by simulation.

  • The 5G system standardization body has been developing standard functions to provide ultra-high speed, ultra-high reliability, ultra-low latency, and ultra-connected services. In 3GPP Rel-16, which was recently completed, this system has begun to develop ultra-high reliability and ultra-low latency communication functions to support the vertical industry. It is expected that the trend in the adoption of mobile communication by the vertical industry will continue with the introduction of 5G. In this paper, we present the industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) service scenarios and requirements for the adoption of 5G systems by the vertical industry and the related standardization trend at present. In particular, we introduce the 5G time-sensitive networking standard technology, a core technology for realizing 5G-based smart factories, for IIoT services.

  • This dissertation deal with over-all wireless communication technology. And introduce wireless communication technology analytically that it use for Home-LAN communication technology (HomeRF, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11, HIPERLAN, etc). Home-LAN communications issue by the terminal field of the latest high-speed network construction. This technologies possesses characteristics and significances as the representative technology using in Home-LAN communication technology. Also, the method of application is conditional on individually. Wireless LAN put Home-LAN communications to practical use. Bluetooth have practical use for an individual mobile communications with internet. HomeRF have a vision that the construction of wireless system in house purely. Therefore, this dissertation investigates merits and demerits between those technologies. And then leads the most compatible technology for application of Home-LAN. Finally, this thesis have a view of the development course hereafter.

  • In the last decades, inter-networking technologies advanced more rapidly than any other field. Today, the Internet is one of the most important infrastructure to society as becoming an indispensible tool of people and companies. During mid-1990's, developed countries recognized the advanced network as a basic infrastructure for the future science and technology development. They developed national research and education networks for the development of future science and network technology. In this paper, we made a comprehensive review of global research and education network developments. We also made analysis of Korea's activities on advanced network comparing with those of developed nations, then suggested approaches to improve Korean advanced networks.

  • In this paper, we present the Tele-PACS of radiology, which uses the communication network as asymetric satellite data communication system. The asymetric satellite data communication system uses receive-only satellite links for data delivery and PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) modem or N-ISDN(Integrate Services Digital Network) for communication. The satellite communication linking shows the very high-speed performance than terrestial linking such as 28.8 kbps modem linking and 56Kbps linking. The satellite linking is 5 - 10 times faster than the 56Kbps linking. We conclude that 1) Satellite networking is currently the cheapest and fastest solution for internet access. 2) Web-based Image-Viewer enables small size hospitals in rural area to connect to central PACS easily and to retrieve the image data reliably. 3) The suggested teleradiology system using satellite networking could be adequate to fast telemedicine and telecare for rural hospitals especially located in geographically isolated areas such as islands.

  • The multi-core processors are being widely exploited by many high-end systems. With significant advances in processor architecture, the network band-width required on the high-end systems is increasing drastically. It is therefore highly desirable to manage multiple cores efficiently to achieve high network band-width with minimum resource requirements. Modern operating systems, however, still have significant design and optimization space to leverage the network performance over multi-core systems. In this paper, we suggest a novel networking process scheduling scheme, which decides the best processor affinity of networking processes based on the processor cache layout, communication intensiveness, and processor loads. The experimental results show that the scheduling scheme implemented in the Linux kernel can improve the network bandwidth and the effectiveness of processor utilization by 20% and 59%, respectively.

  • This paper proposes a seamless handover scheme for high-speed trains using dual mobile routers to minimize service disruption time and packet loss during handovers. In the proposed scheme, each of the dual mobile routers is located at each end of the moving network for space diversity. One of the two mobile routers can continuously receive packets from its home agent, while the other is undergoing a handover, but they act as one logical mobile router. Analytical and simulation results showed that the proposed scheme could provide no service disruption or packet losses during handovers.
