고속카메라를 이용한 전차선 압상량 검측 시스템 개발 (Development of an Uplift Measurement System for Overhead Contact Wire using High Speed Camera)

  • The measurement of contact wire uplift in electric railways is one of the most important test parameters to accepting the maximum permitted speed of new electric vehicles and pantographs. The contact wire uplift can be measured over short periods when the pantograph passes monitoring stations. In this paper, a high-speed image measurement system and its image processing method are being developed to evaluate dynamic uplift of overhead contact wires caused by pantograph contact forces of Korea Tilting Train eXpress (TTX) and Korea Train eXpress (KTX). The image measurement system was implemented utilizing a high-speed CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) camera and gigabit ethernet LAN. Unlike previous systems, the uplift measurement system using high speed camera is installed on the side of the rail, making maintenance convenient. On-field verification of the uplift measurement system for overhead contact wire using high speed camera was conducted by measuring uplift of the TTX followed by operation speeds at the Honam conventional line and high-speed railway line. The proposed high-speed image measurement system to evaluate dynamic uplift of overhead contact wires shows promising on-field applications for high speed trains such as KTX and TTX.

  • HSPA(High Speed Packet Access)/HSPA+ is a combined 3GPP(Third Generation Partnership Project) standard of HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and HSUPA(High Speed Uplink Packet Access). The standard can provide the high speed multimedia service against the 3GPP release 99 standard. In order to test the 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal performance, the measurement hardware is required for the evaluate the transmitted signal of HSPA/HSPA+ terminals. Agilent Technologies and Innowireless produce the measurement equipments for HSPA/HSPA+ terminals. Generally speaking, the receiving algorithms in normal modems cannot be used directly to the measurement system due to the lack of the algorithm accuracy. In this paper, we propose the new receiver algorithm for precise measurement of 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal signal, and implement measurement functionality for performance measurement of the 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal by using software. The proposed 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ signal measurement algorithm can be used for the commercial system through code execution speed optimization.

  • Recently, as the road capacity reaches a limit and environmental problems becomes serious, there exists a gradually increased need for railway vehicles that are environment-friendly, punctual, reliable and safe. Accordingly, in addition to conventional railroad vehicles, lots of vehicles are being newly developed. Korean High Speed Train has been developed for last 6 years to satisfy the need. Authors developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of Korean High-Speed Train. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A new method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, measurement and evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of motors and main transformers in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running. The measured results for the temperature characteristics of electric devices verify that the measurement system is accurate and reliable.

  • 고속선에서의 궤도틀림은 차량의 주행 안정성 및 소음, 진동 등에 큰 영향을 끼치는 요소이다. 차량의 흔들림을 억제하고 효율적인 선로의 점검 및 관리를 위해서는 정확하고, 고속의 궤도검측기구가 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 국내 기술로 제작된 한국형고속열차에 고속 궤도검측시스템을 구축하고, 시운전 시험을 통하여 검측된 궤도 검측 결과를 검토하고자 한다.

고속 고정밀 중성자 측정을 위한 하드웨어 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study On Hardware Design for High Speed High Precision Neutron Measurement)

  • 본 논문에서는 중성자 방사선 측정을 위한 고속 고정밀 중성자 측정을 위한 하드웨어 설계방법을 제안한다. 제안된 고속 고정밀 중성자 측정 장치의 하드웨어 설계는 고성능 A/D 변환기를 사용하여 고정밀 고속의 아날로그 신호를 디지털 데이터로 변환할 수 있도록 구성된다. 중성자 센서를 사용하여 입사된 중성자 방사선 입자를 검출하고, 극저전류 정밀 측정 모듈을 통해 검출된 중성자 방사선을 보다 정밀하고 빠르게 측정하는 모듈을 설계한다. 고속 고정밀 중성자 측정을 위한 하드웨어 시스템은 중성자 센서부, 가변 고전압 발생부, 극저전류 정밀 측정부, 임베디드 시스템부, 디스플레이부 등으로 구성 된다. 중성자 센서부는 고밀도 폴리에틸렌을 통해 중성자 방사선을 검출하는 기능을 수행한다. 가변 고전압 발생부는 중성자 센서가 정상적으로 운영되기 위하여 발열 및 잡음 특성에 강인한 0 ~ 2KV 가변 고전압 발생장치의 기능을 수행한다. 극저전류 정밀 측정부는 중성자 센서에서 출력되는 고정밀 고속의 극저전류 신호를 고성능 A/D 변환기를 사용하여 정밀하고 빠르게 측정하고 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하는 기능을 수행한다. 임베디드 시스템부는 고속 고정밀 중성자 측정을 위한 중성자 방사선 측정 기능, 가변 고전압 발생장치 제어 기능, 유무선 통신 제어 기능, 저장 기능 등을 수행한다. 제안된 고속 고정밀 중성자 측정을 위한 하드웨어를 실험한 결과, 불확도, 중성자 측정 속도, 정확도, 중성자 측정 범위 등에서 기존의 장치보다 우수한 성능이 나타남을 확인할 수가 있다.

  • This study examined the overall measurement system for the power dispersed high speed railway with 400km/h of maximum test speed. The measuring system evaluating an efficiency, stability and reliability is important for developing the high speed railway. In order to organize the comprehensive measuring system, it is needed to determined the test item, a number of channel and the specifications of the measurement system. In this study, we made lists for the performance evaluation tests of the next generation high speed railway expected to be developed in the future, and prepared generalization channel sheets for the specification of the overall measurement system. In addition, the specifications for the measuring system were discussed and synthesized.

  • In this paper, we introduce the software and hardware of the measurement system for on-line testing and evaluation of high speed railway. The test items focus on the verification of the performance and acquirement of the technical data of the high speed railway system. The software controls the hardware of the measurement system, perform the analysis and calculation of measurement data and acts as interface between users and the system hardware. For this purpose, three programs a measuring program, a monitoring program and post-processing program are developed. The detailed test scenario is in the process of development to closely follow the process of development and design of the system.

  • Confocal scanning microscopy is a widely used technique for three dimensional measurements because it is characterized by high resolution, high SNR and depth discrimination. Generally an image is generated by moving one optical probe that satisfies the confocal condition on the specimen. Measurement speed is limited by movement speed of the optical probe; scanning speed. To improve measurement speed we increase the number of optical probes. Specimen region to scan is divided by optical probes. Multi-point information each optical probe points to can be obtained simultaneously. Therefore image acquisition speed is increased in proportion to the number of optical probes. And multiple optical probes from red, green and blue laser sources can be used for color imaging and image quality, i.e., contrast, is improved by adding color information by this way. To conclude, this technique contributes to the improvement of measurement speed and image quality.

고속 스핀들의 변위측정 시스템 개발 (Development of a Measurement System for High-Speed Spindle Displacement)

  • At present many research projects on high-speed spindles are being conducted. These projects require a measurement technique which includes heat expansion, vibration and displacement measurement according to angular velocity. This paper presents the development of a measurement system for high-speed spindle displacement. The measurement system is based on $LabView^{(R)}$ and features the following sensors: optical sensor which reacts to the position of a marker on the spindle and enables two Laser Displacement Sensors(LDS). These Laser Displacement Sensors send their data to a DAQ(Data Acquisition Device). It is important that the delay time caused by the response times of the sensors as well as the sampling rate of the DAQ is considered because the spindle revolves at very high speeds.
