A Logical Hierarchy Architecture of Location Registers for Supporting Mobility in Wireless ATM Networks (무선 ATM 망에서 이동성 지원을 위한 위치 등록기의 논리적 계층 구조)

  • This paper attempts to improve the existing architecture of location register for location management in Private Network to Network Interface(PNNI)-based wireless ATM networks. Our approach enhances the hierarchical architecture of location registers based on a PNNI hierarchical architecture, which is referred to as the logical hierarchy architecture of location registers. This paper introduces a logical hierarchy architecture for location registers to reduce the cost of their location management. This logical hierarchy architecture of location registers begins with the lowest level physical location registers that are organized into clusters called logical groups. These logical groups are then represented in higher layers by logical nodes. These logical nodes are again grouped into clusters that are treated as single nodes by the next higher layer. In this way, all location registers are included in this tree-type logical hierarchy architecture. Compared with the existing physical hierarchy architecture of location registers, the analysis results show that the proposed logical hierarchy architecture can reduce the number of databases and thereby the average total location management cost.

  • This is a study of reputation from the perspective of evolutionary psychology. To start a theory building process in PR, Tall Puppy scale is examined using dominance hierarchy and reputation hierarchy. Tall Puppy scale is a measure toward highly successful, thus famous people. when they fall. The result showed that Koreans have negative attitude toward famous people 8times more and prefer their fall than Austrailians. The number one variable to explain the psychology of reputation hierarchy was self-esteem. It was strongly correlated with reputation hierarchy attitude. People with higher self-esteem were more generous about famous figures when people with low self-esteem prefer more the fall of tall puppies. A discussion for reputation hierarchy theory is followed.

A Study on Establishing Urban Spatial Structure through Central Hierarchy Analysis: Focus on Daejeon (중심지 위계 분석을 통한 대전시 도시공간구조 설정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the central hierarchy and urban spatial structure of Daejeon in 2040 using differentiated analysis indicators. In order to establish a central hierarchy in the future urban space of Daejeon City, three indicators were derived: population density, use of buildings (commercial, office, residential, etc.) and traffic volume data(KTDB). The results of analyzing the center hierarchy using indicators are as follows. First, the primary centers responsible for urban (core) functions are set in three areas, including Dunsan downtown, the original downtown (Daejeon Station area, designated as a special urban convergence zone), and Doan New Town, and the secondary centers corresponding to sub-city centers (regional bases). was set at 9, 10 tertiary centers corresponding to regional centers (living area centers), and a center hierarchy was established with 5 new specialized bases. Second, new secondary and tertiary centers emerged that were different from the center hierarchy in the 2030 Daejeon Urban Basic Plan. The three indicators used in this study yielded meaningful results in establishing urban spatial structure and central hierarchy that can secure urban competitiveness.

Analysis on Efficiency of Hierarchical Structure for a Grid Transit Network (격자형 대중교통 노선망의 위계구조 효율성 분석)

  • This study analyzed whether a transit network with hierarchy is efficient or not, and if transit network hierarchy has cost efficiency, then which condition guarantees the efficiency of the transit network hierarchy. The authors modeled the total cost of the transit network and suggested the conditions in which the transit network hierarchy has cost efficiency through comparing the cost of the transit network with and without hierarchy. The efficiency of transit network hierarchy is guaranteed when the travel cost savings induced by using a higher hierarchy transit network is larger than the increasing non-travel cost, which is the sum of access cost, waiting cost, and operating cost, induced by the introduction of a higher hierarchy transit network. This result is consistent with common sense and with the concept of cost and benefit analysis. If a passenger traveling within the area divided by a higher hierarchy transit network uses only a lower hierarchy transit network and the passenger traveling out of the area divided by the higher hierarchy transit network uses both lower and higher hierarchy transit networks, the travel demand using the higher hierarchy transit network is inversely proportional to the square of the line spacing. This means that the transit network becomes more efficient and small increases of travel demand guarantee the efficiency of the transit network hierarchy as the connectivity of the network becomes higher. This result shows that transit networks have economies of aggregation. This study is the first analytical research on transit network hierarchy and is expected to be a basis for numerical research. However, numerical research should complement this study, since analytical research has some limitations for considering a real network.

  • To develop in the long view, based on context of city, the spatial program change to new spatial program that can be adopt city architectural environment. The new spatial program must have paring lot, open space, community center, which are infra structure for citizen. The needs about flexible space Increase according to complexity of spatial program. The space of absolutism, is made up hierarchy, can't accommodate complexity of spatial program. Therefore, modern architectural spaces are characterized by non-hierarchy. This research is tendency to search special quality of space program that is going complex composition according to change of modern society and modern architecture space, and analyze characteristic of inner space that have non-hierarchy to correspond hereupon.

Systematic Evaluation Effects of Culture on the Effectiveness of Small and Medium Firms in Tra Vinh of Vietnam: With AHP and Regression

  • Organizational culture has been recognized as a determinant of corporate Effectiveness. Cultural components could affect corporate Effectiveness to different extents. However, it seems that none of the previous studies have evaluated and compared these influential extents of cultural components. The current research applies analytic hierarchy processes to assess and rate the significance extents that, cultural components play in resulting in corporate Effectiveness. Then, the current work utilizes regression analyses to re-evaluate the significance extents for the robustness of analytic hierarchy processes. The findings indicate that clan culture is the most vital component in explaining corporate Effectiveness. In contrast, adhocracy culture is the least important component in affecting corporate Effectiveness. Market culture is a cultural component that is ranked the second in determining corporate Effectiveness, and next is hierarchy culture which is the third. The findings are in support of the positive influences of clan, market, and adhocracy cultures on corporate Effectiveness; whereas it found the negative impact of hierarchy culture on corporate Effectiveness.

  • This study aims to generalize the stream network developing algorithm of the geographic hierarchy Stream networks with hierarchy system should be spatially hierarchized in linear features. The generalization procedure of the stream networks are composed of the hierarchy of stream, selection and elimination, and algorithm. Working of stream networks is composed by the decision of direction on stream networks, ranking of stroke segments, and ordering by the strahler method, using geographic data query for controlling selection and elimination of the linear feature by scale. Improved Simoo algorithm was effective in enhancement and decreasing curvature of linear features. Resultantly, it is expected to improve generalization of features with various spatial hierarchy.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new method, the CACH(Context-aware Clustering Hierarchy) algorithm in Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET) systems. The proposed CACH algorithm based on hybrid and clustering protocol that provide the reliable monitoring and control of a variety of environments for remote place. To improve the routing protocol in MANET, energy efficient routing protocol would be required as well as considering the mobility would be needed. The proposed analysis could help in defining the optimum depth of hierarchy architecture CACH utilize. Also, the proposed CACH could be used localized condition to enable adaptation and robustness for dynamic network topology protocol and this provide that our hierarchy to be resilient. As a result, our simulation results would show that a new method for CACH could find energy efficient depth of hierarchy of a cluster.
