The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyse the revised contents of the history class in the Korean Decimal Classification(KDC), 5th edition, and then identify problems and propose the revised contents for the KDC, 6the edition. Major analysed areas are divided into four. First, geographic area table is discussed. It includes extension of the geographic area table, emphasis of hierarchical structure in the geographical area, revision of North Korean geographical names, extension of subgeographical structure of major nations in the world, and revision of nations in the central and west Asia. Second, Korean time period is extended. Third, the notes of entries of the Chinese and Japanese history areas are shorten. Fourth, the geographical and personal names are changed their native pronunciation, specially Chinese and Japanese. For the revision of the KDC, 6th edition, four areas are discussed: first, Korean geographic areas would be categorized by broaden area, second, the areas are arranged from the capital of the nation to others, third, foreign geographical names would be used their native names, and last, time period would be categorized by years.
The focus of this study is on the elements of structure design that facilitate u user interaction with applications within cyberspace Structure design entails decisions regarding the optimal classification and hierarchical organization of information into s successively higher units. i.e .. the grouping of highly related information in the form of nodes of a site and the subsequent connection of nodes that are inter-related. The decisions are based on the designer's subjective classification framework. which is not always compatible with that of the user. We propose that the ensuing cognitive dissonance can be reduced via the employment of multiple hierarchies and cross-referencing links. Multiple hierarchies represent a single information space in terms of a number of single hierarchies. each of which represent a different perspective Cross-referencing refers to the inter-connection between the constituent hierarchies by providing a link to the alternate hierarchy for information that is most likely to be categorized in diverse manners by users with differing perspectives. In this study we conducted two empirical studies to gauge the effectiveness of multiple hierarchies and Cross-referencing links in the domain of cyber shopping malls. In the first phase. an experiment was conducted to determine how subjects classified given products with respect to two different perspectives for categorization. Experimental cyber malls were developed based on the results from the first phase to test the effectiveness of multiple hierarchies and cross-referencing links. Results show that the ease of navigation was higher for cyber malls that had implemented cross-referencing links are of greater value when used in conjunction with single hierarchical designs rather than multiple hierarchies. Users satisfaction with and ease of navigation was higher for cyber malls that had not implemented multiple hierarchies. This paper concludes with discussion of these results and their implications for designers of cyber malls.

The Land Cover/Land Use Map have been constructed from 1998, which has hierarchical structure according to land cover/land use system. Level 1 classification Map have done using Landsat satellite image over whole Korean peninsula. Level II classification Map have been digitized using IRS-1C, 1D, KOMPSAT and SPOT5 satellite images resolution-merged with low resolution color images. Level II Land Cover/Land Use Map construction by digitizing method, however, is consuming enormous expense for satellite image acquisition, image process and Land Cover/Land Use Map construction. In this paper, the possibility of constructing Level II Land Cover/Land Use Map using hyperspectral satellite image of EO-1 Hyperion, which is studied a lot recently, is studied. The comparison of classifications using Hyperion satellite image offering more spectral information and Landsat-7 ETM+ image is performed to evaluate the availability of Hyperion satellite image. Also, the algorithm of the optimal band selection is presented for effective application of hyperspectral satellite image.

The finger language is the part of the sign language, which is a language system that expresses vowels and consonants with hand gestures. Korean finger language has 31 gestures and each of them needs a lot of learning models for accurate recognition. If there exist mass learning models, it spends a lot of time to search. So a real-time awareness system concentrates on how to reduce search spaces. For solving these problems, this paper suggest a hierarchy HMM structure that reduces the exploration space effectively without decreasing recognition rate. The Korean finger language is divided into 3 categories according to the direction of a wrist, and a model can be searched within these categories. Pre-classification can discern a similar finger Korean language. And it makes a search space to be managed effectively. Therefore the proposed method can be applied on the real-time recognition system. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the time about three times than general HMM recognition method.
Classification of spatial units into meaningful sets is an important procedure in spatial analysis. It is crucial in characterizing and identifying spatial structures. But traditional classification methods such as cluster analysis require an exact database and impose a clear-cut boundary between classes. Scrutiny of realistic classification problems, however, reveals that available infermation may be vague and that the boundary may be ambiguous. The weakness of conventional methods is that they fail to capture the fuzzy data and the transition between classes. Fuzzy subsets theory is useful for solving these problems. This paper aims to come to the understanding of theoretical foundations of fuzzy spatial analysis, and to find the characteristics of fuzzy classification methods. It attempts to do so through the literature review and the case study of urban classification of the Cities and Eups of Kyung-Nam Province. The main findings are summarized as follows: 1. Following Dubois and Prade, fuzzy information has an imprecise and/or uncertain evaluation. In geography, fuzzy informations about spatial organization, geographical space perception and human behavior are frequent. But the researcher limits his work to numerical data processing and he does not consider spatial fringe. Fuzzy spatial analysis makes it possible to include the interface of groups in classification. 2. Fuzzy numerical taxonomic method is settled by Deloche, Tranquis, Ponsard and Leung. Depending on the data and the method employed, groups derived may be mutually exclusive or they may overlap to a certain degree. Classification pattern can be derived for each degree of similarity/distance $\alpha$. By takina the values of $\alpha$ in ascending or descending order, the hierarchical classification is obtained. 3. Kyung-Nam Cities and Eups were classified by fuzzy discrete classification, fuzzy conjoint classification and cluster analysis according to the ratio of number of persons employed in industries. As a result, they were divided into several groups which had homogeneous characteristies. Fuzzy discrete classification and cluste-analysis give clear-cut boundary, but fuzzy conjoint classification delimit the edges and cores of urban classification. 4. The results of different methods are varied. But each method contributes to the revealing the transparence of spatial structure. Through the result of three kinds of classification, Chung-mu city which has special characteristics and the group of Industrial cities composed by Changwon, Ulsan, Masan, Chinhai, Kimhai, Yangsan, Ungsang, Changsungpo and Shinhyun are evident in common. Even though the appraisal of the fuzzy classification methods, this framework appears to be more realistic and flexible in preserving information pertinent to urban classification.

When a hierarchical structure is derived from data set for data mining and machine learning, using a conceptual clustering algorithm, one of the unsupervised learning paradigms, it is not unusual to have a different set of outcomes with respect to the order of processing data objects. To overcome this problem, the first classification process is proceeded to construct an initial partition. The partition is expected to imply the possible range in the number of final classes. We apply center sorting to the data objects in the classes of the partition for new data ordering and build a new partition using ITERATE clustering procedure. We developed an algorithm, REIT that leads to the final partition with stable and best partition score. A number of experiments were performed to show the minimization of order bias effects using the algorithm.
Since the early 1980s scholars have applied latent structure and other type of finite mixture models from various academic fields. Although the merits of finite mixture model are well documented, the attempt to apply the mixture model to medical service has been relatively rare. The researchers aim to try to fill this gap by introducing finite mixture model and segmenting inpatients DB from one general hospital. In section 2 finite mixture models are compared with clustering, chi-square analysis, and discriminant analysis based on Wedel and Kamakura(2000)'s segmentation methodology schemata. The mixture model shows the optimal segments number and fuzzy classification for each observation by EM(expectation-maximization algorism). The finite mixture model is to unfix the sample, to Identify the groups, and to estimate the parameters of the density function underlying the observed data within each group. In section 3 and 4 we illustrate results of segmenting 4510 patients data including menial and ratio scales. And then, we show AHP can be identify the attractiveness of each segment, in which the decision maker can select the best target segment.
We investigated the classification of learner groups for students' mathematical modeling competency and analyzed the characteristics in each profile group for each country and variable using PISA 2012 data from six countries. With a perspective on measuring sub-competency, we applied the latent profile analysis method to student achievement for mathematical modeling variables - Formulate, Employ, Interpret. The findings showed the presence of 4-6 profile groups, with the variables exhibiting high and low achievement within each profile group varying by country, and a hierarchical structure was observed in the profile group distribution in all countries, interestingly, the Formulate variable showed the largest difference between high-achieving and low-achieving profile groups. These results have significant implications. Comparison by country, variable, and profile group can provide valuable insights into understanding the various characteristics of students' mathematical modeling competency. The Formulate variable could serve as the most suitable predictor of a student's profile group and the score range of other variables. We suggest further studies to gain more detailed insights into mathematical modeling competency with different cultural contexts.

Traditional semiconductor process control has been performed through statistical process control techniques in a constant process-recipe conditions. However, the complexity of the interior of the etching apparatus plasma physics, quantitative modeling of process conditions due to the many difficult features constraints apply simple SISO control scheme. The introduction of the Advanced Process Control (APC) as a way to overcome the limits has been using the APC process control methodology run-to-run, wafer-to-wafer, or the yield of the semiconductor manufacturing process to the real-time process control, performance, it is possible to improve production. In addition, it is possible to establish a hierarchical structure of the process control made by the process control unit and associated algorithms and etching apparatus, the process unit, the overall process. In this study, the research focused on the methodology and monitoring improvements in performance needed to consider the process management of future developments in the semiconductor manufacturing process in accordance with the age of the APC analysis in real applications of the semiconductor manufacturing process and process fault diagnosis and control techniques in progress.
Folksonomy, which is collaborative classification created by freely selected keywords, is one of the driving factors of the web 2.0. Folksonomy has advantage of being built at low cost while its weakness is lack of hierarchical or systematic structure in comparison with taxonomy. If we can build classifier that is able to classify web resources from collective intelligence in taxonomy, we can build taxonomy at low cost. In this paper, targeting folksonomy in Slashdot.org, we define a general model and show that collective intelligence, which can build classifier, really exists in folksonomy using a stability value. We suggest method that builds SVM classifier using stability that is result from this collective intelligence. The experiment shows that our proposed method managed to build taxonomy from folksonomy with high accuracy.
