This paper is an intelligence type of remote medical examination system for both on-line and off-line mode to transcend time and space on web where anyone can participate ;on-line consultation among patient, doctor, Korean medical doctor, medical examination in off-line mode, transmission of prescription to the pharmacist designated by patient and preparation of medicine, and semi-eternal storage of medical examination data by storage and check of medical examination data ; and database is composed by using intelligence type of object control which enables effect of treatment for heredity including check and mutual holding of medical examination data among family, fast treatment effect pursuant to situation of past medical examination through control of private disease history, cooperated medical examination among doctors, and so on.

As stomach cancer is very prevalent in Koreans, various factors, especially dietary factors, related to stomach cancer incidence were examined in a case-control study. The study population consisted of 105 individual s diagnosed for stomach cancer in two general hospitals and 124 control subjects, matched for age and sex, in Seoul. Data for general characteristics, family history, smoking and alcohol consumption, personality , dietary habits and food preference were obtained by self-administered questionnaire and personal interview. Heredity was found to be one of the most important factors causing stomach cancer. In addition, genetic inheritance tended to differ between the sexes. The male patients showed significantly higher incidence of their father's relatives than mother's relatives but the female patients showed higher incidence of their mother's relatives that father's relatives. Smoking was significantly related to stomach cancer. It was also found that the cases drank alcohol more frequently and in much greater quantity than the controls. Personality was related to the incidence of stomach cancer. The cases tended to be more sensitive , impatient, and anxious to do things quickly. With regards to dietary habits, the male cases had meals significantly more irregularly than the male controls. The relative risk of preferencefor salty food and ramen showed to be significantly very high. The male cases consumed carbonated beverages and instant foods, low intake of green yellow vegetables, smoking of cigarettes and drinking of alcohol may contribute to the risk of stomach cancer.

Genetic Algorithms(GA) which searches optimum solution using natural selection and the law of heredity has been applied to teaming algorithms in order to estimate performance deterioration of the aircraft gas turbine engine. The compressor, gas generation turbine and power turbine are considered for estimation for performance deterioration of a complex component at design point was conducted. As a result of that, complex defect diagnostics has been conducted. As a result, the accuracy of diagnostics were verified with its relative error with in 10% at each component.

Objective : The aim of this study is to investigate current status of Sasang constitutional medicine researches and to provide source in setting a development strategy and making a policy on the Sasang constitutional medicine. Method : This study analyzed trends in research as represented in the 142 articles of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine in the field of Sasang constitution medicine from 2007 to 2010. Result : The main themes of studies were Sasang constitution clinical study (68, 47%) and developing instruments for measuring diagnosis (48, 33%), especially pulse diagnosis (25, 17%). Genetic researches and trends studies on Sasang constitutional medicine were respectively 17 (12%) and 8 (5%). As a result, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine established Sasang clinical information bank, and discovered clinical character of Sasang constitution to develope various diagnosis tools include constitution survey form and pulse diagnosis instrument. Genetic researches also discover constitution related genes such as FTO and MC4R, and explore association between heredity and Sasang constitution. Conclusion : The above mentioned achievements of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine were limited to diagnosis process, unquestionably studies for reproducibility and authenticity of constitution diagnosis were important mission of Sasang constitutional medicine. However, to develop the advance of Sasang constitutional medicine, not only constitution diagnosis but also constitutional treatment studies should be conducted.

Obestity, characterized by an excess accumulation of fat, is a detriment to good health and wellbeing. It is easy for individuals to take on excess fat as soon as enough food and leisure are available in a society, causing an imbalance between energy intake and energy expenditure. Although there has been disagreement as to which side of this energy equation is more important in th epidemic of obesity, both sides are certainly involved. I think the prevalence of obesity begins with infancy. It seems to be relatively constant throughout childhood. Some retrospective studies have suggested that there is a direct progression from a fat chile to a fat adult. Obesity has been associated with excess mortality in many studies. The effect of obesity on cardiovascular disease has not always been an independent one, but has generally been through exacerbation of other rish factors such as hypertention, diabetes, hyperlipedmia, galbladder disease, gout and cancer of the grease and endometrium. The weights of identical twins raised in separate homes have been reported to be similar, thereby suggesting that heredity contributes significantly to weight. Overweight and obesity are by far greater health problems for many people in our society. Therefore in this paper we consider the relationship between body energy balance and problems of obesity. Whatever the weight of the person, the goal of the nutritionist and health care workers is to find solutions that will allow persons to feel better about themselves.

Among cause of carcinogenesis, heredity is believed to take about 10 percent in ovarian cancer. BRCA1 or BRCA2 account for largest portion of Hereditary Breast and Ovary Cancer (HBOC). Frequency of BRCA1/2 germ line mutations varies according to region and ethnicity from 1.1-39.7 percent. The identification of ovarian cancers with a BRCA mutation is will be more and important due to the possibility to offer a genetic counseling and also due to potential beneficial treatment effects with a poly-ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitor in some individuals. We report the case of a 41 year old woman with a stage Ic mucinous ovarian adenocarcinoma and carrier daughter found on family genetic counseling. We indentified other family members with a history of breast cancer of 1st degree and pancreatic cancer of 2nd degree relative. After a screening with immunohistochemistry, the absence of nuclear expression for BRCA1 and BRCA2 was revealed. The gene sequencing confirmed heterozygous mutations of BRCA2 gene. The daughter of the case subject consented for a test. This test was shown the daughter is positive for BRCA2 mutation. Regular surveillance, chemoprophylaxis with oral contraceptive and prophylactic surgery after childbearing were offered to her.

The relationships among self efficacy, depression and coping with cancer were examined in 194 outpatients who had received a diagnosis of cancer. The sample for this descriptive correlational study consisted of people who were at least 19 years old and had been treated for cancer at 6 hospital in Seoul. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows: 1. People who attributed cancer to heredity/family showed the highest mean score of self efficacy. People who attributed cancer to smoking showed the highest mean score of depression. and coping. 2. There were significant differences between causal attribution and depression and between causal attribution and coping. 3. There was a negative correlation between self-efficacy and depression(r=-.301, p= .000), whereas there was a positive correlation between self-efficacy and coping (r=.195, 0=.006). Finally, it is evident that identifying clear perceived causes, self-efficacy, depression and coping in patients with cancer continues to challenge researchers. Based upon this study, it is recommended that future research have a longitudinal design that allows for the identification of changes in perception, emotion and coping and, possibly, different relationships over time.

The fusion research subjects of Oriental medicine and Bio-Technology are actively advanced. Development of information analysis algorithm for constitution diagnosis using clinical and biological information is started recently. In addition, the research for providing personal oriented treatment information with Diagnosis result is to in the process of advancing. This paper considers the inside and outside of the country technical development trend of research for using clinical and biological information by analyzing patents and papers. It executed information analysis about changes to number of research papers and patents, present state and star higher officer of research facility from the dissertation which it sees. It is known that our country research result is slight so far in quantity and quality as result of analysis. But hereafter it contains a many developmental possibility. Also it reflects the appearance and a growth of new field like bioinformatics from constitution and bio information application field. The combination of bio information similar to constitution and heredity and computing technology to control those information efficiently comes to think with core technique.

A regression model with basin physiographic characteristics as independent variables was calibrated for regional flood frequency analysis. In case that high correlations existing among the independent variables the ridge regression has been known to have capability of overcoming the problems of multicollinearity. To optimize the ridge regression model the cost function including regularization parameter must be minimized. In this research the genetic algorithm was applied on this optimization problem. The genetic algorithm is a stochastic search method that mimic the metaphor of natural biological heredity. Using this method the regression model could have optimized and stable weights of variables.

As a result of that, defect diagnostics has been conducted. The input criteria for the genetic algorithm to guarantee the high stability and reliability was discussed as increasing learning data sets. As a result, the accuracy of defect estimation and diagnostics were verified with its RMS error within 3%.
