브롬화 부틸고무에 대하여 [제 2 부 응용(應用)]

  • 브롬화 부틸고무는 새로운 연속적(連續的)인 방법(方法)에 의해 제품(製品)의 질(質)이 균일(均一)하고 안정(安定)한 제품(製品)을 얻을 수 있는 바 이것은 소위(所謂) 상품명(商品名)으로 Folysar Bromobutyl X2라 한다. 이 고무는 일반(一般) 부틸고무와는 달리 여러가지 장점(長點)을 지니고 있다. 다시 말하면 일반(一般) 부틸고무에 비(比)해 첫째 가황속도(加黃速度)가 빠르며, 둘째 천연(天然)고무 또는 SBR과 같은 불포화(不飽化) 고무들과 혼합사용(混合使用)이 가능(可能)하며, 셋째 이러한 고무들과의 혼합사용시(混合使用時) 접착력(接着力)도 우수(優秀)하며 마지막으로 글로로프렌이나 EPDM과도 혼합(混合)이 가능(可能)하기 때문에 여러가지 용도(用途)로 사용(使用)할 수 있다. 이러한 점(點)을 참작(參酌)하여 브롬화 부틸고무의 이용도(利用度)는 (1) 타이어중, tubeless 타이어의 inner liner, white side wall, sidewall coverstrip 그러고 라디얼 타이어에 이용(利用)될 수 있고, (2) 내열성(耐熱性)이 요구(要求)되는 고속용(高速用) 또는 heavy-duty 타이어의 튜우브, 자동차(自動車) 부품(部品) 예(例)컨대 mount등(等)에 이용(利用)할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 행크 라인닝, 고무 호오스, 콘베어 고무벨트, 의료용 병마개, 접착제등(等)에 광범위(廣範圍)하게 이용(利用)할 수 있다.

  • This paper presented a case study on the application of on-line wear monitoring technique to a high duty air-turbo-compressor system. Main objects monitored were a gear unit and metal bearings, both shown frequent troubles due to the severe operation conditions at heavy dynamic load. The air-turbo-compressor system needs secure condition monitoring because it is one of the main utilities in steel making industry. Temperature and vibration characteristics have been mainly on-line monitored in this system for a predictive maintenance; however, it has been shown that they are not fairly good enough to give an early warning prior to the machine failure. In this work, an on-line Opto Magnetic Detector(OMD) was implemented for an on-line wear monitoring, which quantitatively measured the contamination level of both ferrous and non-ferrous wear particles by detecting the change in optical density of used oil. Results showed that the application of on-line OMD system was satisfactory in diagnosis of the machine system.

  • The research which it sees will confront to the coating with paint material and a coating with paint public law application of the river bridge and it will present it will sleep and it will execute, it will reach and a comparison - an analysis from the research which it tries to respect middle of special environment the polyurethane system which is a method coating with paint system and fluorine resin system, against a ceramic system it executed more an objectivity and rational fundamental data. With research method against each coating with paint evening sunlight a research investigation material and structure, it separated with spatial-temporal characteristic and economic viewpoint it executed. When considering overview from material viewpoint, fluorine resin system ceramic system polyurethane system pure with it is judged with the fact that it is excellent. There is a possibility of saying that the coefficient of friction of the fluorine resin system which uses the weapon quality zinc end coating compound ever so hard and polyurethane system is excellent ceramic system than from structure viewpoint. That fluorine resin system = polyurethane system ceramic system pure with it is excellent, it is judged from spatial-temporal characteristic viewpoint. It measures but it considered an internal troubles year grudge in the standard which becomes disturbance the place where it executes the market the expectation life person of the general bridge against 100 years the result fluorine resin system polyurethane system ceramic system which compares a materials unit cost pure with it appeared.

  • Up to now, process design of multistage profile drawing from initial round material is performed through trial-and-error based on experience of industrial experts. This means the increase in production cost and excessive time consuming. In this study, process design program was developed for multistage profile drawing from initial round material. The program was made using VisualLISP. Therefore, the program can be operated by AutoCAD program. In order to verify the effectiveness of the program, two stage profile drawing process for producing heavy duty guide rail was design by using the program. In addition FE analysis and profile drawing experiment were performed. As a result, the program can be used in order to design profile drawing process design.

Design of a Reduction Gear using Double-Enveloping Worm Gear (장구형 웜기어를 이용한 감속기 설계)

  • Worm gear sets may be either single- or double-enveloping. In a single-enveloping set, the worm wheel is cut into a concave surface, thus partially enclosing the worm when meshed. The double-enveloping worm gear is similar to the single-enveloping gear; however, the worm envelopes the worm gear. Thus both are throated. The double-enveloping worm gear has more of the tooth surface in contact than the single-enveloping worm gear. The larger contact area increases the load-carrying capacity. For this reason, double-enveloping worm gearing is widely applied in heavy-duty machinery, for applications including construction and metallurgy. In this paper, we designed a compact reduction gear that is highly efficient using double-enveloping worm gears. We calculated the bearing load in the worm gearing to select the bearing and the housing surface area according to the recommended values from AGMA(American Gear Manufacturers Association). The finite element method was used to assess the structural integrity.

A Study on Characteristics of DPF for Heavy-duty Diesel Engine on Pollutant Emission Reduction (대형디젤엔진 배출가스 저감을 위한 DPF의 재생특성 연구)

  • The combustion purpose of diesel engine is to reduce the emission of green gas and to produce high output. Generally, the regulation matter of emission gas is largely diveded by 'THC', 'NOx', 'CO' and 'PM'. Among those matters, the most problem is to disgorge into 'PM', the character of diesel combustion. Diesel PM can be controlled using Diesel Particulate Filter, which can effectively reduce the level of soot emissions to ambient background levels. $NO_2$ generated by the DOC is used to combust the carbon collected in the DPF at low temperature. To certificate DPF device that is suitable to domestic circumstances, it is necessary to exactly evaluate the DPF devices according to the regulation of DPF certificate test procedure fur retrofit. To do carry out the above-mentioned description the understanding of that regulation like the standard of PM reduction is needed. In this study the test procedure including test cycle and BPT test condition was examined, and also the test result for specific DPF was analyzed. In every test like field test, PM reduction efficiency test and Seoul-10 mode test, no defect was showed.

  • Generally, a working excavator has only one directional bucket tilting angle, which is up-forward. However, side direction rotation of the bucket would allow variety of working output. We designed a hydraulic rotary actuator comprising a double rod hydraulic cylinder with a rack-pinion gear set for use in excavator bucket with side tilting mechanism, thus converting the linear to angular motion. The proposed side tilting rotary actuator was designed with parts suitable for medium size of heavy duty excavator. These mechanical parts were inexpensive to purchase and the manufacturing cost was reasonable. The proposed mechanism is potentially useful for excavator with variety of working output.

Sensitivity Analysis of the 217PlusTM Component Models for Reliability Prediction of Electronic Systems (전자 시스템 신뢰도 예측을 위한 217PlusTM 부품모형의 민감도 분석)

  • MIL-HDBK-217 has played a pivotal role in reliability prediction of electronic equipments for more than 30 years. Recently, RIAC developed a new methodology $217Plus^{TM}$which officially replaces MIL-HDBK-217. Sensitivity analysis of the 217Plus component models to various parameters has been performed and meaningful observations have been drawn in this study. We first briefly reviewed the $217Plus^{TM}$ methodolog and compared it with the conventional model, MIL-HDBK-217. We then performed sensitivity analysis $217Plus^{TM}$ component models to various parameters. Based on the six parameters and an orthogonal array selected, we have performed indepth analyses concerning parameter effects on the model. Our result indicates that, among various parameters, operating temperature and temperature rise during operation have the most significant impacts on the life of a component, and thus a design robust to high temperature is the most importantly required. Next, year of manufacture, duty cycle, and voltage stress are weaker but may be significant when they are in heavy load conditions. Although our study is restricted to a specific type of diodes, the results are still valid to other cases. The results in this study not only figure out the behavior of the predicted failure rate as a function of parameters but provide meaningful guidelines for practical applications.

Hot Forging of an Engine Piston using Control Cooling (제어냉각 장치를 이용한 엔진피스톤 열간단조 공정에 관한 연구)

  • The piston engine is an essential component in automobiles. Since the piston is used in a high temperature and high pressure environment, the piston needs to be manufactured to achieve high strength and high durability. In addition, cost reduction is also an important consideration. In conventional forging, an additional heat treatment after hot forging is necessary to ensure proper mechanical properties for heavy-duty engine pistons. The newly developed manufacturing method lowers production costs by saving manufacturing time and reduces energy consumption. The current paper describes the hot forging of an engine piston made from 38MnSiVS5 micro-alloyed steel using controlled cooling. The finite element analysis was used to check for possible problems and suitable press capacity. Hot forging experiments were then conducted on a 2500tons crank press to evaluate feasibility of the proposed material and process. To check the mechanical properties after hot forging, the forged specimens were tensile tested, and the microstructures were examined in order to compare the results with the conventionally forged material. The skirt region of the as-forged 38MnSiVS5 piston showed better material properties compared to the conventional material. In addition, the total production time was reduced by about 80% as compared to conventional forging.

Analysis of heat leak with the car acceleration for LNG tank of Natural Gas Vehicle (천연가스자동차용 LNG용기에서의 차량가속도와 Heat leak 관계 해석)

  • LNG is a valuable fuel since it offers some environmental, energy security and economic benefits over diesel. It could be used mainly in heavy-duty trucks and buses. Car acceleration induces the slope angle of the liquid fuel in the tank. Slope angle changes the surface area wetted by liquid fuel and consequently heat leak to the tank. This research is a result of numerical simulation of the heat leak with the car acceleration to LNG tank. The "Pro-HeatLeak" Fortran program is developed and the verification test of the developed program is done. The difference between numerical results and calculated results from MathCad verification test is less than 0.07 percent. The smallest heat leak is correspond to the case without oscillation. For the high car acceleration the value of heat leak is greater than that for the small acceleration. The difference between maximum and minimum heat leak for 10 gallons of fuel vapor in the tank is about 10 percent.
