An Experimental Study on the Characteristic of the Hot Water-Air Heating Generating System with a Solar Collector

  • A solar air heating has low efficiency compared with the solar water heating because the heat capacity of the air is small. The heat received by solar collector plate is not fully transferred to the air and then a part of them became the losses to the environment through conduction and convection process. This research is focusing on a design of better combined multi-purposed system suggested by us and aims to secure the more efficient solar energy utilization by combining the hot water and air heating system. The result in this paper has shown that the proposed design has better thermal performance than that of the common design. Furthermore, it was found that the performance of the combined air - water heating system increases the efficiency from 30% to 35%-40%.

Ohmic Heating에 의한 가열속도 변화가 옥수수전분의 물성특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Heating Rate by Ohmic Heating on Rheological Property of Corn Starch Suspension)

  • 전분의 가열, 호화과정에서 ohmic heater를 이용하여 가열속도를 변화시키면서 가열속도가 전분현탁액의 팽윤특성 및 물성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 3% 옥수수 전분현탁액을 가열속도를 변화시키면서 $90^{\circ}C$까지 가열한 후 냉각시키고 현미경 관찰과 입도분포를 측정한 결과 생옥수수 전분입자의 평균 직경은 $13.7{\mu}m$이었으며 $0.6^{\circ}C/min$의 가열속도로 가열했을 경우 $30.97{\mu}m$, $16.4^{\circ}C/min$로 가열한 경우는 $37.88\;{\mu}m$로 평균직경이 급속히 증가하였으나 $16.4^{\circ}C/min$ 이상의 가열속도에서는 완만히 증가하여 $45.5^{\circ}C/min$일 때는 $41.56\;{\mu}m$로 증가하였다. 즉, 가열속도는 전분입자의 팽윤에 영향을 주며, 가열속도의 증가는 전분입자의 팽윤을 촉진하는 것으로 나타났다. $7.5^{\circ}C/min$ 이하의 낯은 속도로 가열한 3% 옥수수 전분현탁액은 Newtonian fluid에 가까운 유동곡선 특성을 보였다. 그러나 가열속도 $16.4^{\circ}C/min$ 이상에서는 전분현탁액이 pseudoplastic fluid의 거동을 나타내었으며, yield stress가 현저히 증가되었다. 또한 겉보기 점도는 가열속도가 증가함에 따라 선형적으로 증가하였다. 15%의 옥수수전분현탁액을 각각 다른 가열속도로 $90^{\circ}C$까지 가열한 후, 전분겔을 조제하여 가열속도에 따른 전분겔의 견고성(hardness)을 측정한 결과, 완만 가열하여 제조한 전분겔의 견고성은 높은 값을 나타내었으며, 가열속도가 증가함에 따라 차츰 감소하다가 가열속도 $9.4-23.2^{\circ}C/min$의 범위에서는 거의 일정한 값을 나타내었다. 그러나 이후에는 가열속도가 증가함에 따라 전분겔의 견고성이 다시 증가하였다.

  • 초음파를 이용한 조직 자극 기법은 지속적으로 연구, 개발되고 있으며, 최근 미용 및 비만 치료에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 초음파 지방 제거술에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초음파 지방 제거술을 위한 초음파 변환기를 설계하고, 조사조건에 따른 집속영역의 형태와 열 변성 영역을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 이를 통하여 제원을 검증하였으며, 제작된 변환기의 초음파 방사 특성 및 가열 특성을 측정하여 유효성을 평가하였다. 또한 복합 구조의 매질을 대상으로 초음파 가열 특성을 예측하였으며 제작된 변환기의 집속점 형태 및 가열 특성이 지방층을 충분히 유화시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 보다 효율적이고 안전한 초음파 지방 제거술의 기초 연구로 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

왕겨 및 왕겨재의 화학적 조성 성분과 열적 특성 (Chemical Compositions and Thermal Characteristics of Rice Husk and Rice Husk Ash in Korea)

  • For better and large utilization of rice husk, the production and consumption status, differences in chemical composition and heating value due to region and variety, and thermogravimetric characteristic of rice husk were studied. In addition, the differences in chemical composition due to region and variety and the crystallization characteristic of rice husk ash were also studied. Approximately 800,000 M/T of rice husk was produced per year in Korea, which is about $18\%$ of the paddy production by weight. Noticeable varietal and regional difference pattern in chemical composition was not found among the domestic rice husk samples. Their average ash content and higher heating value were $16.4\%$ and 16,660 kJ/kg by dry basis, respectively. A relation seemed to exist between the carbon content and higher heating value. Noticeable difference pattern in chemical composition was not found among the domestic rice husk ash samples. The $SiO_2$ contents were a little low, the maximum being $92.9\%,$ and the contents of major components such as CaO, MgO, and $K_2O$ were also lower compared with foreign rice husk ash due to the deficiency of compost matters in domestic soils. Thermogravimetry study showed the thermal decomposition of rice husk started at about $250^{\circ}C,$ followed by relatively fast combustion of combustible gas until the temperature rose to $350^{\circ}C.$ After $350^{\circ}C,$ combustion of the carbon component proceeded relatively slowly as the temperature increased. Therefore, the ignition temperature of the rice husk could be estimated around $300^{\circ}C$. Crystallization of $SiO_2$ in the rice husk ash was found from the combustion temperature of $750^{\circ}C$ and became distinctly when the combustion temperature exceeded $900^{\circ}C$. The ash became darker with $SiO_2$ crystallization.

고속 비행체 전자 장비의 안전성 예측을 위한 열해석 모델 구축 (The Development of Thermal Model for Safety Analysis on Electronics in High-Speed Vehicle)

  • 비행체의 속도가 빨라질수록, 비행 시 발생하는 공력 가열이 커진다. 고속 비행체의 속도가 빨라지면서 비행체의 외피는 수백 ℃까지 가열되기도 하며, 동시에 동체 내부의 전자장비들도 함께 가열되어 상대적으로 사용온도가 낮은 전자장비들의 열적 안전성이 위협받기 시작하였다. 이에 따라 개발 단계에서 전자장비의 온도 예측 및 외부시스템을 이용한 온도 조절 등 장비의 열적 안전성을 예측하고, 이를 확보하기 위한 다양한 시도가 있었다. 본 논문에서는 일회성 고속 비행체 내 장비의 열적 안전성을 예측할 수 있는 열 해석 모델을 구축하는 기술을 개발하였다. 장비 내부의 열전달 특성을 파악하기 위한 간단한 지상 모사실험을 수행하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 열전달 특성을 모사한 열 해석모델을 구축하였다. 이 기술을 활용하여 장비 열 해석 모델을 구축한다면, 비행 시장비 내부 구성품별 온도 변화를 예측할 수 있고, 더 나아가 열에 가장 취약한 특정 소자의 온도를 예측할 수 있기 때문에 더 정밀한 열적 안전성 예측이 가능하다.

  • In this paper, we performed the experimental and numerical study on the thermal comfort(TC) and indoor air quality(IAQ) in the lecture room with a different airflow rate of the ventilation system and heating system for heating season. Through the experimental results, we found out that there was considerably difference of the PMV but there was little difference of $CO_2$ concentration with a different heating system. From a numerical results, the best operating condition was that discharge airflow rate of SAC is 29 CMM and supply airflow rate of the ventilation system is 1,200 CMH from a viewpoint of TC and IAQ.

박스형 이중외피와 커튼월 창호의 난방기 열적성능 비교 (A Study on thermal performance of box type double skin facade and curtain wall in heating period)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the thermal of DFS(double Facade System) and curtain wall in the heating period. The physical difference between curtain wall and double facade on thermal performance has been tested at the newly constructed laboratory, which can turn $360^{\circ}$ to confirm the characteristic of a facade with the various directions. This study divide on 'ventilated, airtight' and 'heated or unheated' conditions from the CASE 1, 2, 3, 4. The results showed thermal performance of double facade system which has been better than curtain wall. The heating energy of DFS reduced $8%{\sim}10%$ of energy consumption. comparable to SFS in experemted results. In view of the researching results so far achieved, the research came to a conclusion, that the curtain wall can save the energy in the heating period than a curtain wall.

호화점 이하에서 옴가열이 감자 전분의 열적특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ohmic Heating at Subgelatinization Temperatures on Thermal-property of Potato Starch)

  • Ohmic heating uses electric resistance heat which occurs equally and rapidly inside of food when electrical current is flown into. In other study, we researched about soybean protein's characteristic changes by ohmic heating. Nevertheless treated same temperature, denaturation of soybean protein were accelerated by ohmic heating than conventional heating. In this time, we studied thermal property change of potato starch by ohmic heating besides conventional heating. For this purpose, potato starch was heated at same subgelatinization temperature by ohmic and conventional heating. And thermal properties were tested using DSC. Annealing of starch is heat treatment method that heated at 3~4% below the gelatinization point. DSC analysis results of this study, the $T_o$, $T_p$, $T_c$ of potato starch levels were increased, whereas $T_c{\sim}T_o$ was narrowed. This thermal property changes appear similar to annealing's result. It is thought the results shown in this study, because the heating from below the gelatinization point. 6, 12, 24, 72, and 120 hours heating at $55^{\circ}C$ for potato starch, $T_o$, $T_p$, $T_c$ values continue to increased with heating time increase. The gelatinization temperature of raw potato starch was $65.9^{\circ}C$ and the treated starch by conventional heating at $55^{\circ}C$ for 120 hr was $72^{\circ}C$, ohmic was $76^{\circ}C$. The gelatinization range of conventional (72 hr) was $10^{\circ}C$, ohmic was $8^{\circ}C$. In case of 24 hours heating at 45, 50, 55, 60, $65^{\circ}C$ for potato starch, the result was similar to before. $T_o$, $T_p$, $T_c$ values continue to increased and gelatinization range narrowed with heating temperature increase. In case of conventional heating at $60^{\circ}C$, the results of gelatinization temperature and range were $70.1^{\circ}C$ and $9.1^{\circ}C$. And ohmic were $74.4^{\circ}C$ and $7.5^{\circ}C$. When viewed through the results of the above, the internal structure of starch heated by ohmic heating was found that the shift to a more stable form and to increase the homology of the starch internal structure.

  • This paper proposes a voltage-fed high frequency resonant inverter having variable voltage variable frequency(VVVF) control function. VVVF control is performed by PWM-TRC method in the boost type chopper and PFM-TRC method in the high frequency resonant inverter. This circuit is suitable for induction heating and melting power supply in industry. The operating characteristics of this inverter are discussed from a theoretical point of view. The results of operating characteristic analyses are given leading to complete designing data.

적외선 패널히터의 온도분포 측정 (Measurement of Temperature Distribution in the Infrared Panel Heater)

  • Temperature distribution and heating characteristic of the panel heater for infrared heating have been investigated. The temperature variation with time is firstly measured with the thermocouple to figure out the response time of the heater to the power input. The heater reaches faster to the steady state in comparison to the ceramic heater. The infrared thermal imaging system is utilized to investigate the temperature distribution over the heater surface. The measured thermal images show that the thermal boundary layer induced by the free convection near the heater surface affects the temperature distribution on the surface. The images also show the fairly good uniformity of the temperature distribution in the core region of the surface.
