냉동시스템의 운전조건에 따른 열교환기 내장형 어큐뮬레이터의 성능 특성 (Performance Characteristics of Accumulator Heat Exchangers with Operating Conditions of a Refrigeration System)

  • The applications of multi air-conditioners into multiplex and high-rise buildings have been increased by replacing central air-conditioning systems. The pipe length and altitude difference between the indoor and outdoor units can be increased based on installation conditions, which may increase the possibility of flash gas generation at the expansion device inlet. The flash gas generation causes rapid reduction of refrigerant flow rate passing through the expansion device, yielding lower system efficiency. Accumulator heat exchangers have been widely used in multi air-conditioners in order to minimize flash gas generation and obtain system reliability. However, the studies on the heat transfer characteristics and pressure drops of accumulator heat exchangers are very limited in open literature. In this study, the heat transfer rates and pressure drops of accumulator heat exchangers were measured with refrigerant flow rate and operating conditions by using R-22. The heat transfer rate increased with the increase of refrigerant flow rate, while subcooling decreased. The heat transfer rate enhanced with the reduction of inlet superheat and subcooling due to the increased temperature difference between the accumulator and inner heat exchanger.

  • Numerical analysis on the three-dimensional laminar flows (Re=1000) and heat transfer in a rectangular channel with punched longitudinal vortex generator have been conducted to explore the heat transfer enhancement and the combined effect of the angle of attack ${\alpha}$ and the lovour angle ${\beta}$. Rectangular winglets have been used as vortex generators. Velocity and temperature fields and spanwise averaged Nu and friction factor were presented. Enhancement of heat transfer and flow loss penalty are evidenced. The results show performance characteristics allowing a reduction in heat transfer surface area of 62% for fixed heat duty and for fixed pumping power compared with that of channel flow without vortex generator. However, adding lovour angle to the vortex generator shows no positive effect on the heat transfer enhancement.

  • Total lengths of domestic pipe network for district heating system are above about 2,500Km. A lots of pumping power for heat transportation through long pipe are required by the flow friction of pipe surface. Until now there have been considered about various methods to reduce the flow friction for district heating system such as using surfactants and turbulence promoters by swirl flow and baffles etc. At this study, swirl flow generator was tested about the possibility to increase the heat transfer ratio at the heat exchanger in the case which the suppling water temperature increased from $50^{\circ}C$ until $120^{\circ}C$. Experimental results showed that the heat transfer ratio increased and also pressure increase ratio increased simultaneously in the case which swirl flow generator installed. The amount of the increasing ratio for heat transfer and pressure were reached until 4.33% and 11% at the case of $120^{\circ}C$ suppling temperature which domestic district heating system were using.

재연소가 열전달 특성과 $NO_x$ 감소에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Reburning on Heat Transfer Characteristics and $NO_x$ Reduction)

  • An experimental study has been conducted to evaluate the effects of reburning on $NO_x$ reduction and also to examine heat transfer characteristics from LPG flame. Experiments were performed in flames stabilized by a co-flow swirl burner, which was mounted at the bottom of the furnace. Tests were conducted using LPG gas as main fuel and also as reburn fuel. The effects of reburn fuel fraction and injecting location of reburn fuel are studied. The paper reports data on flue gas emissions, temperature distribution in furnace and various heat fluxes at the wall for a wide range of experimental conditions. In a steady state, the total as well as radiative heat flux from the flame to the wall of furnace has been measured using a heat flux meter. Temperature distribution and emission formation in furnace have been also measured and compared.

백연 저감을 위한 열교환 시스템의 배기 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Exhaust Air Heat Transfer Characteristics of Heat Exchange System for White Smoke Reduction)

  • In this study, effects of reducing white smoke at a heat exchange system for white smoke reduction were studied in the winter season. For this purpose, the heat transfer processes on the exhaust air were investigated by Solidworks. Five wave heat exchangers of air-to-air and air-to-water type were applied for the exhaust air heat recovery. The analytical condition of the exhaust air was fixed and the computational analysis was performed according to the change of SA(supply air) inlet velocities. In order to evaluate the performance of the heat exchange system for white smoke reduction, W(water)/SA recovered capacities and the temperature/absolute humidity reduction rate were calculated. As SA inlet velocity increased, the exit temperature and absolute humidity of the mixing zone were reduced by up to about $40^{\circ}C$ and 0.12kg/kg respectively. Also, W/SA recovered capacities increased linearly up to about 35%.

배열회수 보일러 전열관군에서 열전달 모델링에 따른 온도 분포 특성 연구 (A study on the temperature distribution characteristics in the tube modules of a heat recovery steam generator ith the change of heat transfer modeling)

  • 배열회수 보일러는 입구 확관 덕트와 전열관군으로 이루어져 있는데 전열관군에서 열전달 효율을 향상하기 위해서는 전열관군 전에서 배기가스 유동이 균일하게 되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 전열관군 전의 배열회수 보일러 입구 덕트에서 유동 특성을 살펴보았고 전열관군의 열전달 메커니즘을 지금까지 다른 연구들에서 적용하였던 일정한 열전달 량으로 한 경우와 전열관군 배관의 내부와 외부의 대류열전달을 고려한 열전달 메커니즘을 적용한 경우의 해석에서 온도 분포를 비교하여 배열회수 보일러의 전열관군에서 실제 현상에 보다 적합한 열전달 메커니즘을 정립하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 전열관군 배관의 내부와 외부의 대류열전달을 고려한 열전달 메커니즘을 적용한 해석이 일정한 열전달 량을 적용한 경우보다 온도 분포가 타당한 결과를 도출하였고 이렇게 적용한 경우는 배열회수 보일러 탈질설비 전단에서 온도 분포가 설계 기준 ${\pm}10^{\circ}C$에 만족함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 현 저자의 이전의 연구를 확장하여 균일한 열유속을 갖는 2상 기체-고체입자 위 방정식에서 축 방향의 열전달은 반경 방향의 열전달보다 작아 무시 하였으며, 복사 열전달은 기체와 입자 사이의 온도 차이가 적어 무시하였다. 방정식 중 $F_{px}$$F_{pr}$ 은 2상 사이의 상호작용에 의한 단위부피당 축방향과 반경방향 의 저항력이며, 수직관의 열전달 특성을 부하도와 상대 입자 크기 $d_{p}$/D를 변화시 켜 가면서 조사하는 것이다.다.

  • Application of aluminum alloy has been increasing for most of industry area because aluminum has a good mechanical properties and castability, especially automotive field for weight reduction. But, Furnace industry is sluggish. The purpose of this study is numerical analysis of aluminum holding furnace for reasonableness estimation when we design for new model of furnace. The numerical simulation involving fluid flow of inside air and heat transfer to fireproof material is presented in order to improve the understanding of aluminum furnace. First of all, we are carried out numerically for the two dimensional inside convection and surface radiation heat transfer in a square enclosure. 냉장고 가스켓 주위 형상 및 물성치 변화에 의한 열손실 영향 연구 (The Effect of Gasket Shape and Material Properties on Heat Losses in a Refrigerator)

  • The amount of heat loss of a refrigerator through the gasket is nearly 30% of total refrigerator heat loss. In this paper, quantitative evaluation for the effects of various effort to reduce heat losses through the gasket. The first trial is to extend the inner gasket to prevent the heat loss flowing from the inner of refrigerator. The effects of thermal conductivity changes of gasket and magnet are investigated by the numerical heat transfer analysis. The position change of hot line is also examined in the present research. From the present result of the numerical simulation of heat transfer, we are able to reduce the heat loss about 20~40% by using inner gasket extension. The reducing of thermal conductivity of gasket is considerable in the heat loss reduction. On the other hand, the thermal conductivity change of magnet has no apparent effect in heat loss reduction. The position change of hot line has considerable positive effect in the reduction of heat loss near gasket region.

흰-관 열교환기에서 재료절감 흰의 제습특성 (Dehumidifying Performance of Material-Saving Fin in Fin-tube Heat Exchanger)

  • This work discusses the pressure droop, heat and mass transfer of the finned-tube heat exchangers having 7 mm tubes and offset strips in dehumidifying applications. It focuses on the fin material saving and the reduction of pressure drop. The experiment was conducted using three times scaled-up models to simulate the performance of the prototype. Eight kinds of fins having different strips and S shape edges were tested. the area density of the strip was a major factor and its shape and the location were secondary factors on the pressure drop, the heat and mass transfer. The reduced-area fin can almost equal the non-reduced fin in the aspect of heat and mass transfer. The strip fins proposed in the present work can considerably reduce both the pressure drop and the fin material for similar thermal load.
