친환경 세라믹 도료 열적측정을 통한 쿨루프 정책 확대방안 (Expansion of Cool Roof Policy through Thermal Measurement of Eco-Friendly Ceramic Coating)

  • The urban heat island phenomenon that accelerates global warming has always been controversial when summer heatwaves have occurred since it was first investigated and described by Luke Howard in the 1810s. In Korea, since 2014, government have been interested in Cool Roof and painted white coating on the rooftops of the aging and weak buildings, and the cool roof business has expanded nationwide. However, the roof occupies 20-25% of the entire city surface, much less than 37-45% of the pavement area consisting of roads, parking lots and sidewalks, there is a need to expand the policy of Cool Pavement as a way to reduce the urban heat island phenomenon. Domestic cities are high-rise buildings centered on apartments, and the area occupied by outer walls is larger than that of rooftops compared to foreign low-rise buildings. Therefore, as a way to reduce the urban heat island phenomenon, there is a need for a policy to expand the Cool Roof in buildings and use Cool Wall in parallel. Therefore, this study aims to present the expansion of Cool Wall in buildings and Cool Pavement in urban areas, expanding the installation range of Cool Roof, by comparing and reviewing the thermal characteristics of eco-friendly ceramic coating with excellent thermal proof performance and coatings used for roof waterproofing.

  • This study is focused on the development and selection of optimal cool tube system to maximize its thermal performance. Cool tube is devised to reduce the heating and cooling load of building by preheating or refreshing of intake air. Finite volume method was adopted to solve the conduction problem between the cool tube and earth. We examine the cool tube system for two operating periods, a short term(12 hours) and a long term(3 months). The results of short term operations reveal that condensation significantly influences and raises the exit air temperature. For long term operations, optimum conditions of cool tube system are obtained with variations of flow-rate, depth, length and diameter of cool tube.

HEAT-UP AND COOL-DOWN TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT HYDRIDE REORIENTATION BEHAVIORS IN ZIRCONIUM ALLOY CLADDING TUBES

  • Hydride reorientation behaviors of PWR cladding tubes under typical interim dry storage conditions were investigated with the use of as-received 250 and 485ppm hydrogen-charged Zr-Nb alloy cladding tubes. In order to evaluate the effect of typical cool-down processes on the radial hydride precipitation, two terminal heat-up temperatures of 300 and $400^{\circ}C$, as well as two terminal cool-down temperatures of 200 and $300^{\circ}C$, were considered. In addition, two cooling rates of 2.5 and $8.0^{\circ}C/min$ during the cool-down processes were taken into account along with zero stress or a tensile hoop stress of 150MPa. It was found that the 250ppm hydrogen-charged specimen experiencing the higher terminal heat-up temperature and the lower terminal cool-down temperature generated the highest number of radial hydrides during the cool-down process under 150MPa hoop tensile stress, which may be explained by terminal solid hydrogen solubilities for precipitation, and dissolution and remaining circumferential hydrides at the terminal heat-up temperatures. In addition, the slower cool-down rate generates the larger number of radial hydrides due to a cooling rate-dependent, longer residence time at a relatively high temperature that can accelerate the radial hydride nucleation and growth.

고주파 열치료 장비의 Cool-Tip 온도에 따른 소간의 소작 특성 (Ablation Characteristics of Bovine Liver According to Cool-Tip Temperature of RFA Equipment)

  • 본 연구는 고주파 열치료 시 내부냉각방식 cool-tip의 냉각수 온도에 따른 소작 특성을 확인하기 위하여 소간을 이용하여 냉각수 온도변화에 따른 소간의 소작 특성의 변화를 통해 냉각수 온도변화와 소작 특성의 상관관계를 확인하고자 하였다. 실험에 사용된 소간은 2 cm cool-tip 사용 시 $4{\times}4{\times}4cm^3$, 3 cm인 cool-tip 사용 시에는 $6{\times}6{\times}6cm^3$로 소간을 절제하였으며, 소작된 소간은 MRI를 이용하여 영상검사를 실시하였으며, Freehand 기법으로 소작된 부위의 면적과 둘레를 측정하였다. 2 cm, 3 cm cool-tip을 사용하여 6분, 12분 소작 시 cool-tip 온도가 상승함에 따라 면적과 둘레는 감소함을 나타냈으며, cool-tip 온도와 면적 및 둘레의 상관관계는 통계학적으로 유의한 결과를 나타내었다(p=.000). 소작 범위에 대한 실제 측정과 MRI을 이용한 측정을 비교한 결과 MRI를 이용한 면적과 둘레 측정이 더 정확한 것을 확인하였으며, 대응표본 T-검정을 이용한 통계적 결과 또한 유의하였다(p=.038). 고주파 열치료 장비의 cool-tip 냉각수 온도가 증가함에 따라 소간의 소작 범위가 감소한 원인은 고주파 열치료 장비의 에너지가 정확히 전달되지 못하고 탄화가 발생하기 때문이다. 따라서 고주파 열치료에서 탄화의 발생을 줄이고, 고주파 에너지가 정확히 전달되어 치료 효과를 높이기 위해서는 냉각수의 온도를 낮은 온도로 일정하게 유지하여 사용하여야 고주파 열치료의 효과가 증대될 것이라 사료된다.

  • Until the middle of the 20th century, exogenous febrile disease was the most common disease that threatened the human health. 서늘한 환경 노출시 고탄력 팬티스타킹 착용의 온열생리적 효과 (Effects of Wearing Support Panty Stocking on Thermoregulatory Responses When Exposed to the Cool Environment)

  • Stockings are considered to be excellent in retention of heat in cool weather. This study was to investigate the physiological effects of wearing support panty stocking when exposed to the cool environment from mild environment. Five healthy female college students wearing(ST) or not wearing(NST) support panty stocking, rested at 25$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, 50$\pm$5% R.H. and were exposed to 18$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, 50$\pm$5% R.H. for 90 minutes. The results obtained were as follows: Rectal Temperatures were lower in ST than in NST at both environments. Skin temperatures in ST were revealed higher at $25^{\circ}C$, but lower at 18$^{\circ}C$ than in NST. Heat production and total weight loss didn't show significant difference between ST and NST. Total thermal conductance from the body to the environment was higher in ST than in NST at 18$^{\circ}C$. It was suggested that wearing support panty stocking would keep the body warm in mild environment, but facilitate heat loss from the body in cool environment.

섬유의 열전달 특성이 보온용 부직포의 접촉온냉감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Heat Transfer Characteristics of Fibers on the Warm/Cool Touch of Insulating Nonwovens)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of heat transfer characteristics of fibers on the Qmax of insulating nonwovens. The effects of fiber type, moisture content, washing cycles on the Qmax were observed. The correlations between Qmax measured by KES-F7 system and subjective warm/cool touch perception test was analyzed. The results obtained were as followed: 1. Heat transfer characteristics of fibers effected on the Qmax of insulating nonwovens. 2. Moisture transport properties of fibers effected considerably on the Qmax of nonwovens and the increasing rate of Qmax by increasing moisture content was much higher at wool than polyester. 3. As a result of subjective perception test, subjective warm/cool touch and wettness of wool nonwoven was increased obviously by increasing moisture content. 4. At the same moisture content, wool nonwoven showed higher subjective cool touch and wetness than polyester. 5. In the physical properties of nonwovens, thickness was the most effective factor on the Qmax of insulating nonwovens.

흡습 냉각 패드에서의 열 및 물질전달에 관한 연구 (Theoretical Analysis on the Heat and Mass Transfer in a Sorption Cool Pad)

  • A sorption cool pad brings cooling effect without any pre-cooling, nor any external energy supply. It uses evaporative cooling effect stimulated by the desiccative sorption. In this paper, heat and mass transfer in the sorption cool pad are investigated theoretically. The evaporative cooling process caused by the desiccant is modeled and analyzed considering the sorption characteristics of the desiccant. Two nondimensional parameters are found to dominate the cooling process: one is related to the psychrometric characteristics and the other is to the sorption capacity of the desiccant. The former decides the time to reach the lowest temperature and the later controls the time duration of the cooling effect being sustained.

신량해표(辛凉解表)의 역사와 의미에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the History and Meaning of Exterior Relief Methods using Pungent-cool Properties)

  • Objectives : This study aims to examine the exterior relief method through pungent-cool properties in comparison to pungent-warm properties historically, to understand the meaning of 'exterior relief through pungent-cool' more thoroughly. Methods : Contents mentioning the treatment method directly were examined historically, then analyzed. Results & Conclusions : The method to relieve the exterior through pungent-cool properties has developed by overcoming the limitations of the method to relieve the exterior through pungent-warm properties since it was first established in 『Shanghanzabinglun』(『傷寒雜病論』). The term 'relief of the exterior through pungent-coolness'(辛凉解表) was first mentioned in the Ming period, referring to weak level of perspiration. Yetianshi(葉天士) explained it as communicating Weiqi(衛氣) using pungent-cool medicinals for heat to discharge through the exterior, resulting in mild sweating. In 『Wenbingtiaobian』(『溫病條辨』) the term 'to relieve the flesh'(解肌) refers to both mild sweating through pungent-warm medicinals and the opening of the exterior through pungent-cool medicinals for pathogenic qi to exit, resulting in sweating. If the exterior relief of the pungent-warm medicinals happens through the warm Yang qi(陽氣) stimulated the inner Yin fluids(陰液) to discharge as sweat, that through pungent-cool medicinals relieves stagnation in the exterior, opening up a way for the pathogenic heat to exit. From the perspective of the main therapeutic mechanism for pungent-cool medicinals to be its coolness relieving heat, the term 'exterior relief through pungent-coolness' becomes erroneous. For the 'exterior relief through pungent-coolness' category to be valid, the meaning of 'exterior relief' needs to be expanded to include not only stimulated sweating but the treatment process that could result in sweating.
