Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate derived factors associated with a public service announcement on handwashing to evaluate the effect of this announcement. Methods: In early september, 1,000 persons over 19 years old was investigated by Computer Aided Telephone Interview, at last 993 persons for analysis. Outcomes were the exposure to the public service announcements on handwashing, the comprehension of this announcements, the intention of behavioral change and the practice of handwashing. Results: In particular, the proportion of exposure is more women and highly educated. The comprehension of the announcement was no statistically significant difference. The intention of behavior change showed higher in workers and understanding of the announcements. The practice of handwashing is higher in women and lower in student/unemployed. There was no difference in practice in accordance with the exposure, the comprehension and the intention of behavioral change. Conclusions: About the comprehension of the announcements and the intention of behavioral change, the effects of the public service announcements on handwashing can be very positive. But it does not affect the actual practice of hand washing. The handwashing promotion programs will have to devise a strategy and structure, operation method considering realistic and scalable platform.
Objectives : This study analyzed the influencing relationship among oral health belief, prevention of oral diseases, and quality of life subject in adults over 20 years of age. Methods : This study enrolled 237 participants who visited Y hospital located in the Gyeongnam district as the final subjects for the analysis. From the collected data, multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the relative influence of oral health belief on each parameter using SPSS 18.0. Results : Based on the regression analysis results, it was found that the factor in oral health belief with the strongest influence on the intention to prevent oral disease was importance. The behavior for prevention of oral disease was influenced by sensitivity, and the quality of life was affected by self-efficacy. Conclusions : These results, suggest that in order to promote oral health in adults, continuous support from oral health professionals is required to make patients recognize the importance and the sensitivity of oral health and reduce sensitivity.
Purpose: This study was designed to identify the incidence risk of cardicerebrovascular disease (CVD) among male bus drivers, and to examine and compare the predictors of their health behavior according to the level of CVD incidence risk. Methods: The convenience sample of 222 male bus drivers were recruited from a bus company located in Jeonnam province. Data were collected from self-reported questionnaires and annual medical examination records from 2010. The CVD incidence risk was calculated based on the risk criteria for industrial workers. Results: The 26.6% and 26.1% of the participants were in the moderate and high risk group, respectively. The 72% of the participants were in the precontemplation stage and reported no intention to change their unhealthy lifestyles. Stepwise multiple regression analyses showed that current smoking, excessive alcohol drinking, physical inactivity and lack of knowledge were negative predictors of good health behavior in the normal/low risk group (Adj $R^2$=.443). Heavy alcohol drinking, current smoking, physical inactivity and dyslipidemia were reported by the moderate/high risk group (Adj $R^2$=.427). Conclusion: This study suggested that targeted education and counseling are needed to modify unhealthy lifestyles such as alcohol consumption, smoking and exercise among middle aged male drivers. Especially, dyslipidemia should be managed among those who are at risk for CVD.
Background: Healthcare workers' attitudes toward vaccination have been widely described in the literature, but a restricted amount of studies assessed healthcare students' knowledge, attitudes, and opinions on this issue. This study aimed to estimate the influence of a degree course on knowledge and immunization behavior among healthcare students and to compare medical students with students from other health profession degree programs to identify possible differences. Methods: A multicenter, cross-sectional study was performed in 2018 in 14 Italian Universities (3,131 students were interviewed). A validated questionnaire was used to assess knowledge, attitudes, and opinions toward vaccinations, with a specific focus on influenza vaccine and attitudes toward mandatory vaccination policies. Statistical software STATA® 14 was used. Results: Significant differences were recorded between medical students and other healthcare students. The intention to get vaccinated against influenza during the next season and having been vaccinated in the previous season was higher in the medical group (p < 0.001). In the group of students of other health professions, we registered a lower probability of identifying themselves as a high-risk group for contracting infectious diseases as a consequence of their profession and health status (aOR 0.49; CI95%: 0.40-0.60) and an increased likelihood of defining their level of knowledge on vaccine-preventable diseases and related vaccinations as "insufficient/sufficient/fair" (aOR 1.31; CI95%: 1.11-1.56). Conclusions: Results show several differences between medical students and students of other health professions when it comes to vaccination knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions, as well as a general low tendency to be vaccinated against influenza.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the distribution of stages of adoption in stomach cancer screening and elucidate differences among stages. Methods: A randomly selected sample of 712 Korean males and females aged 40 years or over were interviewed. Stomach cancer screening intention and behavior, sociodemographic characteristics, beliefs, self-efficacy and reinforcing characteristics were assessed. Results: The majority of participants were not on-schedule screening(unaware 3.2%, unengaged 20.8%, deciding about acting 24.0%, decided not to act 9.6%, decided to act 14.5%, acting 9.7%, maintenance 18.3%). Perceived susceptibility, perceived barriers, self-efficacy, other cancer screening experiences were significantly associated with higher compared to lower Precaution Adoption Process Model(PAPM) stages. Conclusions: This study appears to be applicable of the Precaution Adoption Process Model to understanding stomach cancer screening behavior. Our results suggest that it is needed to develop the tailored message for adherence of stomach cancer screening.
This study was designed to analyze the possibility to enter the Chinese market aggressively by giving light on the factors which have effects on the continuous intention of Shanghai consumers to purchase environment-friendly foods, and the purchase of Korean environment-friendly foods. The objects of analysis were the 209 consumers living in Shanghai, China. As for the analysis method, the frequency, percentage, crossing analysis, $X^2$-test and logistic regression analysis were carried out, making use of SPSS PC+ 13.0. The study results are as follows. Firstly, it was identified that the decisive factors, such as good taste, health of family, freshness, food shop in a department store, international quality authentication, diversity of items and number of family members, had effects on the possibility that the consumers in Shanghai, China would purchase environment friendly foods continuously, showing the meaningful variables. Secondly, as for the decisive factors having effects on the possibility to buy Korean environment friendly foods continuously, it was identified that good taste, health of family, freshness and price cutting were the meaningful variables. Therefore, it is necessary that to set up a export promotion strategy to make the Shanghai consumers get interested in Korean environment-friendly foods and choose to buy the foods.
The vision disturbances of school- age children has been recognized as and important school health problem. As the visual disturbances of the school-age children is recognized as the nation's health problem. the importance of the development of educational program for visual health should be emphasized. Recently, eyeball movement and other visual health management method has been introduced for prevention or recovery of decrease in visual acuity. But, the effect of eyeball movement was not confirmed yet. And, the controversy around the treatment effect is continued. The decrease of visual acuity is one of the important school health problem as well as it causes discomfort in daily life of the students. So, it should be considered as an important subject for school health and there is a need to develop an effective intervention program for visual health. The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the program with the recognition of the need of the intervention for visual health. The visual health promotion program was developed by the researcher and the program was initiated by the school. Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was applied for study which examined the effect of the visual health promotion program. The subjects were 742 children (experimental group: 398; control group: 344). The experiment was composed of health education and eyeball movement. Health education was provided 5 times to the children in the class room. Children of experimental group exercised eyeball movement in the class, watching video for 10 minutes two times a day. The exercise was continued for 10 weeks. The result of the study were as follows. 1) change of visual acuity Before the intervention, mean of the visual acuity was .86 for the experimental group and .91 for control group. After the intervention, mean of visual acuity was .95 for the experimental group and. 90 for the control group. There was no significant difference in the change of visual acuity between experimental and control group. 2) change of refraction. In the experimental group, 327 eyes (41.08%) were normal vision and 469 eyes (58.98%) were eyes of refraction errors, 38.82 % of the total eyes were myopia. There was no significant change in the refraction in the children with myopia after the intervention. 3) Awareness of visual acuity, change of knowledge, behavior. and attitude (1) After the intervention, there was a significant difference in the awareness of visual acuity (experimental group: 70.10%. control group: 50.97%, p<.01). (2) After the intervention, there was a significant knowledge increase in the experimental group (pp<.01). (3) There was no significant difference in the visual health behavior after the intervention. (4) There was a significant positive change in the attitude related to visual health in the experimental group ( pp<.05). 4) There was a significant positive change in the subjective discomfort of the students. But, there was no significant change in the objective eye symptom after the intervention. Even though there was no effect in the visual acuity and the change of the refraction. subjective visual health as well as the attitude and knowledge' of the children and parents toward visual health was improved significantly. Also, there was an increase in the intention of change and the awareness for the visual health management. It is suggested that various educational strategies for visual health promotion should be developed and examined for the visual health promotion of the students.

The object of this study was to analyze factors influencing adult dementia knowledge, fear of dementia, and intention of dementia prevention behavior on the demand for dementia prevention education. The subjects of the study were 265 adults aged 19 to 64 living in Chungnam and Chungbuk, who understood the purpose of the study and agreed to participate in the study. The collected research data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, adult dementia knowledge (p=.055) and dementia fear (p=.302) were found that they did not significantly affect the demand for dementia prevention education, and the intention of dementia prevention behavior (β=.329, p<.001) was found to have a significant effect on the demand for dementia prevention education. Based on these research results, understanding of dementia and dementia management projects, early screening for dementia and health guidelines for dementia prevention, chronic disease management for dementia prevention, exercise for dementia prevention, healthy eating for dementia prevention, and cognitive enhancement for dementia prevention In addition to the national dementia prevention publicity and national response efforts such as programs, it is necessary to actively participate in the dementia prevention program centered on the community to practice the correct dementia prevention behavior and provide sufficient opportunities to prevent it.

Recently, there has been a growing focus on the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students as a key driver of motivational behavior. However, previous research has provided limited analysis on the actual impact of Social Support on the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students. The purpose of this study is to enhance the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students and to ascertain the mediating effect of Career Adaptability in the relationship between Social Support and Entrepreneurial Intention. Zhejiang Province, the top-ranked province in private economy in China, possesses a strong economic development momentum and an innovative entrepreneurial atmosphere. Therefore, this study selected 194 third and fourth-year undergraduate students from universities in Zhejiang Province as participants and collected data through a survey utilizing measures of Social Support, Career Adaptability, and Entrepreneurial Intention. The collected data was analyzed for correlations between the measured variables using SPSS 26 and Stata 17 SEM Builder for quantification and validation. The results of the study revealed that, firstly, while Social Support did not have a direct impact on Entrepreneurial Intention, it was found to have an indirect influence on Entrepreneurial Intention through Career Adaptability and its various sub-variables. Secondly, Social Support among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Career Adaptability. Thirdly, Career Adaptability among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Entrepreneurial Intention. Based on these analytical findings, this study provides theoretical and practical implications as well as fundamental information for entrepreneurship education and Career Adaptability at the university level.

Recently, the health-pleasure trend, which means enjoying health care through exercise or diet and certifying it on SNS is spreading to the MZ generation. This study examined the effect of personality traits on SNS upload behavior and subjective well-being related to health care. As a result, 1) parallel comparison and narcissism had a positive effect on the SNS upload attitude and intention, and the downward comparison had a negative effect on both SNS upload variable. Self-esteem had a positive effect only on the attitude of uploading SNS. Next, 2) self-esteem had a positive effect on both subjective well-being, while narcissism had a negative effect on stress, and parallel comparisons had a positive effect on life satisfaction. In other words, it was confirmed that comparisons with similar people had a positive effect on SNS upload behavior and their subjective well-being, while health care for self-show or recognition of others had a negative effect on their subjective well-being. The results of this study should be actively reflected not only for the marketing market but also for a media and cultural environment in which the MZ generation can lead a healthy life.
