Today, modern people are exposed to various environmental pollutants such as harmful substances and stress, which can compromise health. Therefore, a healing culture that seeks to enjoy human life based on the healing of body and mind is attracting great attention. The purpose of this study is to develop environmentally friendly natural dyeing considering a healing concept with four elements: color, dye, material, and pattern. The research methods and scope are based on a theoretical review of healing and research on the literature of bedding related to natural dyes, national and international books, the Internet, etc., and naturally dyed bedding. This paper presents actual production research. The results of this study are as follows. First, the elements of color, dyeing, material and pattern were developed through the process of a bedding design development model that applies a healing concept and can be commercialized as a healing bedding product. Second, a healing color proposal was expressed in an intermediate color system of pink, ocher, lavender, and indigo colors for emotional stability, warmth, calmness, comfort and softness. Third, eco-friendly bedding using natural dyes with medicinal efficacy can obtain the healing effect of the natural treatment method, which can aid healthy sleep. Fourth, the pattern used in the bedclothes was a motif of Sarasa embroidery, flower embroidery, ribbon embroidery, and wave quilting motifs to provide psychological stability as a healing concept in the sleeping environment. The natural healing bedding with the healing concept proposed in this study has natural treatment that is beneficial to human health and the development of bedding with natural dyes will lead to an increase of demand for the sleeping environment.

Recently, public interest in Healing Games is increasing. But, due to the absence in an agreed concept, an academic discussion on the healing games has not commenced. Thus, this study proposed a concept for the 'Healing Games' and sought to draw key features. First, a comparison between healing games and medical serious games were compared to confirm that key concept of healing games. Afterwards, healing games were selected and reviewed to identify the narrative, structural and sensory features.

Treatment of schizophrenia is one of the most challenging areas in the field of psychiatry. There has been much improvement in psycho-pharmacotherapy, and at present, psycho-pharmacotherapy along with milieu therapy and social rehabilitation is the standard first-line treatment for schizophrenia. Healing environment, a concept which has arisen from the architectural field, has similarities in meaning to milieu therapy in psychiatry. In other words, healing environment may be an encountering point between psychiatry and architecture. In this encountering, each field can understand each other and expand its concept to aid the treatment of schizophrenia and to plan the build-up of the entire environment considering its social and psychological effects. In this paper, we aim to establish the basic concept of healing environment to alleviate the psychopathologies in schizophrenic patients. We worked under the premise that physical setting affects human behavior and mind, and that physical setting should play a role as a medium with therapeutic potential for patients with medical problems. The aims of this paper are as follows. First, theoretical discussion of the concept and the constructs of healing environment : second, understanding of the schizophrenic symptoms that may be affected by supporting environment : and third, discussion of supporting environment that may alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia.

This exploratory research examines a new approach to the healing environment in the changed health paradigm, and seeks to conceptualize the extended characteristics of the healing environment in the context of mental health promotion. This study aims to, first, define the concepts of health, mental health, and the healing environment in the changed paradigm, and second, develop the healing characteristics of the physical environment for mental health promotion and create indicators. For these purposes, this study performed a theoretical exploration that could support the concept of the healing environment for mental health promotion by expanding its scope into not only architecture, psychology, and psychiatry but also philosophy of architecture and environment psychology, which concerns the relationship between humans and the environment. This study considers related theories and attempts to establish a new concept from a convergent perspective. The characteristics of the healing environment categorized as a result of exploratory research on previous studies and theories include (a) physical protection promotion, (b) psychological comfort promotion, (c) social exchange promotion, and (d) personal self-esteem promotion. Establishing the concept of the healing environment for mental health promotion is important to implement the actual healing environment. Based on the concept, more specific design indicators and guidelines could be developed to conduct applied research.

There are more and more citizens suffering from severe fatigue, and they wish to escape from it and spend their leisure time for healing. As a result, buildings and complexes are being constructed nationwide with healing as their theme. Particularly, they tend to build facilities with concepts like a spa, beauty, healing, meditation, nature, or forest healing. The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of healing environment and the nationwide tendencies of building facilities with healing as their theme and also investigate the planning characteristics of complexes and architecture with three representative complexes as examples. Complexes intended for healing have immersion into nature being freed from one's routine as their concept. When planning the flow of human traffic within the complexes, they try to obtain the autonomy of choice as well as the diversity of space and experiential factors in order to provide opportunities for experiencing nature. In the complexes selected for a case study here, they have planned the factors of physical environment that are associated with one another based on architectural education programs using red clay, programs specializing poetry, and healing programs using food. Typically, this is centered around outdoor experiential space, indoor meditation and education space, or fitness space. Also, it is characterized by the planning of physical environment and the complex operation of programs. Particularly, public space is divided into communal space, resting space, and health and treatment space, and health/resting space is mainly intended for health and exercise, for example, fitness, spas, or jjimjilbang (Korean dry saunas). Also, it is characterized by the planning of pitched roofs harmonized with nature and also facade planning that can positively adopt the factors of natural environment.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for eco-friendly healing space design for healthcare facilities in the future. Theoretical review and case study on the concept of sustainable design, spatial expression and behavioral affordance were used as research method. Through these reviews, the 3 elements of the total healing environment -physical, psychological and social- have correspondence with elements of spatial expression; Refuge, Flow, Prospect and Void. And these are related to the eight kinds of Behavioral affordance which are subdivided into WORK&STUDY, REST, CIRCULATION, VISUAL SEQUENCE, SOCIAL EXCHANGE, REFRESHMENT, COMMUNITY and MEDITATION. And the concept of sustainable design consists of 6 principles ; Natural system, People, Place, The cycle of life, Energy & natural resources and Process. Through correlation analysis of behavioral affordance and 6 principles, the result of this study presents that the physical elements of the total healing space was mainly associated with the principles of people, place and the cycle of life. Psychological element was related to principle of natural system, human, place and process. And social element was associated with the principles of human, place and process. According to this analysis, the case study of four low-rise eco-friendly medical facilities was undertaken. Sustainability was evaluated in total healing environmental through this case study.

The concept and spatial composition of office have endlessly changed according to social trend. And according to social change, members of office, namely, concept of organization has been changed. Presently, our society finds and needs appearance of office suitable for our society. According to a concept of ecological environment and a concept laying stress on human, various trials have been performed but still, stress of salaried men is treated as social issue. By having connection between psychological healing theory of Max $L{\ddot{\bar{u}}}scher$ and spatial expression elements (content : refuge, self-esteem : prospect, confidence : flow, liberty : void) as a theory, we discussed possibility of aesthetic office landscape could be developed to a type of office which could control emotion that can be a cause of stress and we intended to examine limitation and possibility through case analysis.

Structural polymer composites are susceptible to damage in the form of cracks, which form deep within the structure where detection is difficult and repair is almost impossible. A recent methodology for the damage repair of polymer composites using the self-healing technique is reported. The polymerization of the healing agent is triggered by contact with an embedded catalyst, being necessary to damage repair of polymer composites. For this purpose, the self-healing concept is introduced and the manufacturing process of microcapsule with the healing agent is briefly described. The polymerization between the healing agent and the catalyst is verified by the use of ESEM and IR spectroscopy. Finally the efficiency of the self-healing technique is investigated by measuring the critical load of TDCB specimen.

The earth is a natural material that has natural healing power,,as a natural ingredient, it brings environmental friendliness, emotional. In this Research, for one of the methods to expand the benefits as a healing space, Construction of the Earth design and earth construction methods have been actively used for effectiveness of the Earth in the construction of the interior with the oriental medical clinic. By utilizing the concept of biophilic design as a healing environment design, symbolizing nature such as color, light, plants, flowers, and natural materials such as earth and wood was directed as oriental medicine interiors. In addition, the space was divided according to the movement of patients and used different Earth construction method to each of the space for the distinction and differentiation according to the characteristics of each space. At this time, the Earth was constructed with materials and finishing materials that meet the highest grade of HB (Healthy Building), an eco-friendly building material certification grade without additives, so that the interior and medical treatment concept can be done at the same time. By using Earth as the basis of elements in the construction, and the design of healing space, patient the concept of Biophillic as a healing environment design. This may serve as a technical, aesthetic, and cultural basis for constructing a healing space by Earth in the future-oriented alternative, it may lead to necessity of eco-friendly and ecological architecture, and it may be an opportunity to expand the application area of earth in architectural design.

This study focused on the introduction of damage repair for polymeric composite carbody. called selfing tech-healinique. using microcapsules loaded with the healing agent The manufacturing process for microcapsules with the healing agent was introduced and tile characteristics of microcapsules manufactured by varying with various manufacturing process variables were evaluated. The DCPD was used for the healing agent and microcapsules were made of urea-formaldehyde resin. The magnitude and the size distribution of microcapsules were measured by a particle size analyzer using laser diffraction technique. Thermal stability was investigated by using a TGA under continuous and isothermal heating conditions for the healing agent. microcapsules without the healing agent. microcapsules with the healing agent.
