Since the head and neck region is densely located with organs at risk (OAR), OAR-sparing is an important issue in the treatment of head and neck cancers. This study-in which different treatment plans were performed varying the head tilt angle on brain tumor patients-investigates the optimal head elevation angle for sparing normal organs (e.g. the hippocampus) and further compares the dosimetric characteristics of different types of radiation equipment. we performed 3D conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and tomotherapy on 10 patients with brain tumors in the frontal lobe while varying the head tilt angle of patients to analyze the dosimetric characteristics of different therapy methods. In each treatment plan, 95% of the tumor volume was irradiated with a dose of 40 Gy in 10 fractions. The step and shoot technique with nine beams was used for IMRT, and the same prescription dose was delivered to the tumor volume for the 3D-CRT and tomotherapy plans. The homogeneity index, conformity index, and normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) were calculated. At a head elevation angle of $30^{\circ}$, conformity of the isodose curve to the target increased on average by 53%, 8%, and 5.4%. In 3D-CRT, the maximum dose received by the brain stem decreased at $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, and $40^{\circ}$, compared to that observed at $0^{\circ}$. The NTCP value of the hippocampus observed in each modality was the highest at a head and neck angle of $0^{\circ}$ and the lowest at $30^{\circ}$. This study demonstrates that the elevation of the patients' head tilt angle in radiation therapy improves the target region's homogeneity of dose distribution by increasing the tumor control rate and conformity of the isodose curve to the target. Moreover, the study shows that the elevation of the head tilt angle lowers the NTCP by separating the tumor volume from the normal tissues, which helps spare OARs and reduce the delivered dose to the hippocampus.
A Satellite Communication (SATCOM), which is applied to various systems to communicate with other systems at the limited wired communication situation, is required to head at a stable point of the space, because this system uses a geostationary satellite. It is important to know satellite tracking heading angles such as elevation angle and azimuth angle for the immovable antenna's latitude, longitude, and altitude. Moreover, calculation of heading angle is critical for SATCOM antenna on a moving platform. In this study, a antenna heading angle calculation method is applied to compute elevation and azimuth angle for a SATCOM antenna and the heading angle simulation is executed for the Korea peninsula and surrounding areas. To verify this simulation, satellite tracking test is conducted using a SATCOM antenna which uses monopulse signal tracking method. The simulation is confirmed by comparing this test result with the simulation. And we make a suggestion for calculation of polarization angle of this antenna.

Based on the averaged Korean head shapes that are the results of digital Korean project by KISTI and Catholic university, experimental apparatus of head dummies of Korean male and female are developed in order to measure head-related transfer functions(HRTF) by using a reverse engineering and rapid prototyping techniques. For the Korean dummies, HRTFs are measured using the substitution method ever 12kHz frequency bands. At every azimuth angle $15^{\circ}$ HRTFs are measured for elevation angles $-30^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}$ and $-30^{\circ}$. The measured HRTFs are compared with those of KEMAR(knowles electronic manikin for acoustic research) dummy head, which shows $3{\sim}5\;dB$ difference over $4{\sim}5\;kHz$ kHz frequency band.

Shoulder bone scan everyday life, sports activities at the side of the shoulder joint, or applying strong force in the lateral occurs. Mainly on upper arm abduction, temple, other rotational dislocation of the shoulder joint gahaejyeo as useful for observing the presence or absence of lesions is used. Shoulder PA oblique projection prevent distortion of the image due to the angle and the most useful diagnostic radiological investigate shooting angle. Shoulder blade body and the acromion and coracoid process Y-view is formed characters. $10^{\circ}$ angle between the shoulder blades and the acromion is the obstruction. $20^{\circ}{\sim}25^{\circ}$ to the Y-view of the humerus head looks superimposed, the position of the shoulder joint and seemed appropriate. $35^{\circ}$ of the humerus head superimposed on the Y-view, but above the humerus head and shoulder joints were distorted. When $45^{\circ}$ elevation observed on the side of the best has come Y-view also acromion and coracoid process is finished.

On multimedia teleconferencing system existing a number of participants, face of the participants can beperceived by visual image. However, differentiation of each participant's voice and spaciousness sense are very hard since voice of all participants is processed with one dimensional data. In this paper, we implemented three dimensional audio rendering system using the HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function) and distance sense reproduction method and determined the optimal location of the participants for teleconferencing system. In the results of the listening test using elevation and azimuth angle, we showed that directional perception of the azimuth angles were better than that of the elevation angles. Specially, we showed that participant location using the HRTFS of the azimuth angle 10" , 90" , 270" and350" was efficient in teleconferencing system existing four participants. We also proposed that distance cue was used for enhancement of the reality and location of many participants more than five.ipants more than five.
In this paper, a new interpolation model for the head related transfer function (HRTF) was proposed. In the method herein, we assume that the impulse response of the HRTF for each azimuth angle is given by linear interpolation of the time-delayed neighboring impulse responses of HRTFs. The time delay of the HRTF for each azimuth angle is given by sum of the sound wave propagation time from the ears to the sound source, which can be estimated by using azimuth angle, the physical shape of the underlying head and the distance between the head and sound source, and the refinement time yielding the minimum mean square error. Moreover, in the proposed model, the interpolation intervals were not fixed but varied, which were determined by minimizing the total number of HRTFs while the synthesized signals have no perceptual difference from the original signals in terms of sound location. To validate the usefulness of the proposed interpolation model, the proposed model was applied to the several HRTFs that were obtained from one dummy-head and three human heads. We used the HRTFs that have 5 degree azimuth angle resolution at 0 degree elevation (horizontal plane). The experimental results showed that using only $30\sim40%$ of the original HRTFs were sufficient for producing the signals that have no audible differences from the original ones in terms of sound location.

Purpose : Purpose of this study was to investigate whether cervicothoracic posture was associated with scapula orientation and muscle activity during shoulder abduction. Methods : Cervicothoracic junction angle and thoracic kyphosis angle were measured in health twenty subjects. Then, scapular resting orientation and range of motion (upward/downward rotation, internal/external rotation) and muscle activity (upper trapezius, lower trapezius, serratus anterior) was determined using motion capture system and surface electromyography while subjects performed shoulder abduction. Results : Cervicothoracic junction angle was significantly associated with range of motion of scapular internal/external rotation during shoulder abduction. Thoracic kyphosis angle was significantly associated with scapular resting orientation of upward/downward rotation and average IEMG of lower trapezius. Conclusion : The result of this study shows that poor cervicothoracic posture is relationship with altered scapular kinematics cause of shoulder dysfunction. These findings suggested that cervicothoracic posture may be considered in occupation and exercise including arm elevation over head as well as used as predict factor to estimate shoulder dysfunction.
In this study we analyzed the seepage characteristics of meandering section of rivers commonly seen in domestic terrain. The seepage analysis is designed to be more realistic by considering a tangent and meandering section of levee. The levee was idealized to reflect the relevant characteristics by considering the curved angle of 90 degrees and 130 degrees in the spatial frequencies, water elevation conditions, and hydraulic conductivities. Seepage analysis becomes more detailed and precise with the seepage curve shape which is interpreted to indicate the flow of three-dimensional numerical analysis program using VisualFEA. As a result of the analysis, it is shown that the water level in the straight levee was constant, regardless of hydraulic conductivities, and the total head in the meandering section was increased by the overlapping of seepage. Consequently, it is found that the total head was increased more significantly in the case of 90 degrees curved levees than 130 degrees, and the total head showed similar characteristics In the straight levee.
Background: Patients with advanced asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have postural deviations such as thoracic hyperkyphosis, forward shoulder posture (FSP) due to an increase in head and cervical protraction, reduced shoulder range of motion and a corresponding increase in scapula elevation and upward rotation. Unlike congenital vertebral kyphosis that are permanent and rigid deformities with bony and other structural deformations which cause respiratory impairment, these deformities in these patients may be more flexible. Since the thoracic hyperkyphosis has been implicated as having adverse health consequences it is necessary to evaluated the relationship between thoracic kyphosis and cardiopulmonary functions of patients with COPD and asthma. Methods: It was a cross-sectional analytical study. Eighty-four eligible patients with COPD and asthma were recruited from the Respiratory Unit, Department of Medicine, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), and basic anthropometric parameters, pulmonary parameters, cardiovascular parameters, thoracic kyphosis (Cobb) angle and presence of respiratory symptoms of participants were assessed. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 20. Results: There was no significant correlation between the thoracic kyphosis and selected pulmonary parameters (Forced Expiratory Volume in one second (FEV1, p=0.36), Forced Vital Capacity (FVC, p=0.95), Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR, p=0.16), Thoracic expansion (TE, p=0.27)/cardiovascular parameters (Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP, p=0.108), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP, p=0.17) and Pulse Rate (PR, p=0.93) as well as the respiratory symptoms (SGRQ scores, p=0.11) in all subjects. Conclusion: There was no relationship between thoracic kyphosis and selected pulmonary/cardiovascular parameters as well as respiratory symptoms in patients with COPD and asthma.
