Augmented reality (AR) is currently being applied actively to commercial products, and various types of intelligent AR systems combining both the Global Positioning System and computer-vision technologies are being developed and commercialized. This paper suggests an in-vehicle head-up display (HUD) system that is combined with AR technology. The proposed system recognizes driving-safety information and offers it to the driver. Unlike existing HUD systems, the system displays information registered to the driver's view and is developed for the robust recognition of obstacles under bad weather conditions. The system is composed of four modules: a ground obstacle detection module, an object decision module, an object recognition module, and a display module. The recognition ratio of the driving-safety information obtained by the proposed AR-HUD system is about 73%, and the system has a recognition speed of about 15 fps for both vehicles and pedestrians.

There are many visual enhancement devices for people with low vision. However, almost conventional devices have been simple magnifying and high cost. The symptoms of people with low vision are very variety. It needs to control of image magnifying, brightness, and contrast to improve the visuality. We developed a portable microdisplay driver and device for visual enhancement. This device based on our suggested four methods such as image magnifying, specific color control, BLU brightness control, and visual axis control using a prism. The basic clinical experiments of the proposed Head Mounted Visual Enhancement Device (HMVED) have been performed. The results show beneficiary effects compared with conventional devices, and improve the life quality on people with low vision on account of low weight, low cost, and easy portability.

In recent years, there are so many serious crashes involving coaches, especially the frontal collision occupies 40% of the front of the vehicle, Frontal collisions account for 100% of the front of the vehicle affecting the driver and side-impact collisions that injure the person in the vehicle. Therefore, the research into improving and optimizing the structure is necessary for risk of injury for passengers in frontal accidents. In this paper, we have designed a Shock absorber that can absorb collision energy. Research using HYPERMESH software. to build the finite element model and calculate the meshing to suit the mesh size of 5mm. apply LS-DYNA software to calculate structural strength. In the study, for a vehicle to collide with a hard obstacle occupying 100% of the head of the vehicle. Then, the experimental design method, Minitab is used for find the structural parameters in the design. Improvement results showed that the acceleration of the impact on passengers and the driver is decreased by 55,17%. The mass of texture improvements is reduced by 11%, according to the requirements of European Standards ECE R94.
Most researches about rumble strips have Presented only the before-and-after analysis of the accidents. So, Researchers have not dealt with the estimation of rumble strip's effectiveness on the driver's alertness. In this study. the effectiveness of the rumble strips on the driver's alertness was estimated by measuring the bio-signal transmitted from the driver. The bio-signal acquired for this experiments were theta wave in central lobe. The experimental results revealed that the theta waves as measured form the drivers's head while in the rumble strip section differed from those while in non-rumbled section; 74 percent decrease in theta wave value, respectively. This fact finding could mean that the driver's alertness increased from 74 percent while in the rumble strip section of the road. In all five trials of driving experiments on the rumble strip section, all the drivers showed the best alertness as measured by the theta waves in the first driving trial.

The effect of particulate contamination on friction and wear between a negative-pressure picoslider / tri-pad nanoslider and laser-textured disk was studied. Particles of different concentration were injected at the head-disk interface consisting of disks with various textures and slider types at different speed. Durability increased and coefficient of friction decreased as the disk speed increased in a contaminated environment. Frictional characteristics and durability in the data zone were better for those of the laser-textured zone. It was also found that durability of head-disk interface (HDI)decreased as the particle concentration increased. The interface durability with a picoslider was better than that with a nanoslider at any condition in a contaminated environment. Based on the test results, mechanisms were proposed to explain the reasons why durability with a picoslider was superior to that with a nanoslider.

Bridge circuit was developed such that the pressure wave in the inkjet can be measured. In order to test the circuit, the microfab single ejector was used. For the experiment, the head was filled with nano silver ink (20wt%). In order to generate waveform voltage for jetting signal, the Agilent 33120 was used in order to generate arbitrary waveform. For the driver, PZD 350 from TREK was used in order to amplify the waveform. Experimental results show that the designed circuit can effectively detect the pressure wave in the inkjet head.
This study is examine and analysis of the most flying and run distance during swing three times with six balls between two amateurs and pro-golfers in golf field in Sungnam airport. During down swing, kinetics variances are velocity of club-head and balls, vertical angular velocity. this scientic data present amateur golfers with recognition of long flying distances for golf balls. Recent advanced sensors and communication technologies have been widely applied to advanced safety vehicle (ASV) for reducing traffic accident and injury severity. To apply the advanced safety vehicle technologies, it is important to quantify the safety benefits, which is a fundamental for justifying application. This study proposed a methodology for quantifying the effectiveness of the advanced driver assistant system (ADAS), and applied the methodology to lane departure warning system (LDWS) and automatic emergency braking system (AEBS) which are typical advanced driver assistant systems. When the proposed methodology is applied to 2008-2010 gyeonggi-province crash data, LDWS would reduce about 10~14% of relevant crashes such as head-on, run-off-the road, rollover and fixed-object collisions on the road. In addition, AEBS could potentially prevent about 50% of total rear-end crashes. The outcomes of this study support decision making for developing not only vehicular technology but also relevant safety policies.
