주변환경을 고려한 상수관망의 관 마찰손실계수 산정 (Predicting Flow Resistance Coefficients in Water Supply Mains)

  • 보다 효율적인 관로운영에 필수적인 통수능 변화 및 영향인자 산정을 위하여 국내 도송수강관에 대하여 124개의 Hazen Williams및 Darcy-Weisbach 마찰계수를 실측, 분석하였다. 그 결과 국내 도송수강관은 국외의 마찰계수 변화형태와 유사한 경향을 보이며 관경이 클수록 (Diameter>1100mm) 통수능은 관령에 많은 영향을 받으나 관경이 작을수록 관경과 관령에 동시에 영향을 받는다는 사실을 알았다. 또한 Hazen Williams의 C 값은 외국에 비해 약 5-10 정도 작은 것으로 나타났으며, 조도높이의 성장률은 약 0.41 mm/년으로 관의 통수능이 외국에 비해 빨리 저하한다는 사실이 밝혀져 그 원인 파악 및 통수능 산정기준을 재 검토해야 할 것으로 판단되었다. For the most efficient operation of water mains, 124 head losses in domestic water supply steel mains were measured to provide the values of friction coefficient and the variable affecting the deterioration rate of Hazen Williams' and Darcy-Weisbach's friction coefficient. The experimental results show that pipe age is governing the friction coefficient of large mains (Diameter > 1100 mm). On the other hands, pipe age and pipe diameter are affecting the variation of carrying capacity for small mains (Diameter < 1100 mm). The friction coefficient of water mains in foreign countries is higher than that in Korea by about 5 to 10 in Hazen Williams' C value. The growing rate of roughness height of domestic water main is about 0.41 mm/year which is higher than the average of United States of America. So further study is required to find out what causes the serious deterioration rate.

상수관로의 유속계수 설계기준 (Design criteria of Hazen-Williams C value of water pipe system)

  • In this study, Hazen-Williams C value of pipes in wide waterworks system was estimated and statistically analyzed. Hazen-Williams C value of water pipe was predicted after 20 years of service period. From the results, it was found that C value of water pipe for treated water maintained higher value of 110 after 20 years of installation. Furthermore, it was found that velocity coefficients of steel pipe for less than and more than 20 years of installation were 117.7 and 109.3, respectively. C value of ductile iron pipe for less than and more than 20 years of installation were 118.1 and 114.2, respectively. In this study, it was also found that small value of C is used in the design of water pipe system. Therefore, excessively bigger size of pipe can be determined in the design of water pipe system. From the results of present study, optimum value of C can be used to avoid the oversized design of water pipe system.

콜부르크-화이트 방정식의 수치해와 이의 적용 (Numerical Solution of Colebrook-White Equation and It's Application)

  • In analysis of pipelines or pipe network we calculated the friction loss using Hazen-Williams or Manning formula approximately, or found one by friction coefficient from Moody diagram graphically. The friction coefficient is determined as a function of relative roughness and Reynolds number. But the calculated friction coefficient by Hazen-Williams or Manning formula considered roughness of pipe or velocity of flow. The friction coefficient in Darcy-Weisbach equation was obtained from the Moody diagram. This method is manual and is not exact from reading. This paper is presented numerical solution of Colebrook-White formula including variables of relative roughness and Reynolds number. The suggested subroutine program by an efficient linear iteration scheme can be applied to any pipe network system.

자동화 장비를 이용한 대형 상수관로 갱생을 위한 코팅재료 선정 및 방법에 관한 연구 (Investigating coating material and conditions for rehabilitation of water transmission pipe using a robotic system)

  • There is a growing concern on the improvement of water distribution pipeline for multi-regional water supply system in Korea along with its aging infrastructure. Rehabilitation of large diameter pipeline is more efficient in cost and time compared to replacement with trenching. The procedure for rehabilitation are diagnosis, cleaning, spraying coating material, and final inspection. The internal state of pipeline was carefully diagnosed and got C grade, which required rehabilitation. We found that 17,274,787,000 Korean won could be saved after pipe surface coating because of increased C coefficient of Hazen-Williams equation. Optimal coating material was D polyurea. We also found optimal distance between spraying nozzle and pipe wall to be 70 - 80 cm, which were critical factors for coating quality. This study also illustrated the time for spray drying to be more than 30 min. These results could be used in the quality control process during rehabilitation of aged pipelines.

각종 송출 호오스의 구경 및 길이가 농용양수로의 소요동력에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Flowing Velocity and Length of Delivery Hoses on Power Requirement of Agricultural pump.)

  • The water delivery hose for agricultural pump is getting popular in rural areas in korea. Friction head loss, discharge, and power requirements were measured in various discharge for different material and diameter of hose to get basic data for economical use in agricultural pump. The results attained in this study were as follows ; 1. Friction head loss increased significantly as the velocity increased, and the difference of velocity between the different diameter of hose was bigger than that between materials, which was resulted in the increase of the friction head loss. 2. Friction head loss in the case of that the velocity with 2m/sec was constant was about 3.53 to 4.01 m/100m in the diameter 3" and about 2.30 to 3.10 m/100m in the diameter 4". Material A of diameter 3" showed the maximum value 8.4m/100m in Reynolds number $2.0\times10^5$, 4" got the minimum value 2.24m/100m, the difference between these values was bigger than 6m per 100 meters in the friction head loss. 3. Darcy-Weisbach formular with friction coefficient [f] calculated by Nikurades formular in the smooth pipe or with friction coefficient [f] calculated on the base of C value 125 in Hazen-Williams formular was available in friction head loss of the water discharger hose in rural areas. 4. Total head increased as friction head loss increased , meanwhile total discharge decreased, and 20 percents of energy was more saved in Material C 4″pipe than Material A 3″pipe in the view point from the discharge per unit power requirement, this phenomenon suggested that long distance pipe would be advantage in larger diameter pipe for save of energy. for save of energy.

스프링클러 시스템에서 조도계수에 따른 CPVC 배관 마찰손실 영향의 연구 (A study on the effects of Friction loss of CPVC pipe according to Roughness coefficient in a sprinkler system)

  • 배관 내에 유체가 흐를 때 사용되는 유체의 물리 화학적 성질에 따라 배관재질이 선택이 결정된다. 수계소화설비에 사용하는 유체는 대부분 물을 사용하므로 물속에 용해된 각종 이물질들은 관 벽에 스케일을 발생시키고 부식 및 배관 노후화를 촉진하여 마찰손실을 증가시켜 펌프의 효율을 저하시킨다. 이러한 요인을 가져오는 강관의 대체가능한 CPVC 배관은 부식에 강하고, 매끄러운 조도를 가지고 있어서 유체이송능력이 뛰어나고 배관무게가 가볍고 접착제결합 방식의 배관작업으로 시공성이 우수한 점을 들 수 있다. 그래서 설계 및 시공단계에서 마찰손실을 줄이기 위해 Hazen-Williams식을 CPVC(Chlorinated Poly-Vinyl Chloride)배관에 적용하여 조도계수에 따라 마찰손실을 조사하였다. 실제 아파트 현장에서의 적용사례를 통해 조도계수의 차이에 따라 손실수두를 조사한 결과 조도계수의 수치가 120인 강관일 때 마찰손실은 76.64MPa이고 150인 CPVC배관일 때 마찰손실은 50.72 MPa로서 34% 정도의 마찰손실이 개선되었음을 확인하였다. 또한 시공비 절감차원에서는 강관으로 시공할 때 1,585,158원이고 CPVC배관으로 시공 시에는 931,842원으로 41%정도의 시공비가 절감되는 것을 확인하여 전체 설비용량의 감소로 인한 소화시스템의 안정성 향상 및 시공비를 절감할 수 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.
