고조파 정합 기법을 이용한 고효율 GaN HEMT 전력 증폭기 (High Efficiency GaN HEMT Power Amplifier Using Harmonic Matching Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 고조파 정합 기법을 이용하여 고효율 GaN HEMT 전력 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하고, 그 특성을 측정하였다. 고효율 특성을 얻기 위해 고조파 로드풀 시뮬레이션을 활용하였다. 즉, 기본 주파수뿐만 아니라 2차, 3차 등의 고조파에서 최적의 부하 임피던스를 찾아내었다. 이러한 고조파 로드풀 시뮬레이션 결과를 바탕으로 출력 정합 회로를 설계하였다. 제작한 전력 증폭기는 중심 주파수 1.85 GHz에서 선형 전력 이득 20 dB 및 33.7 dBm의 $P_{1dB}$(1 dB gain compression point) 특성을 보였다. 그리고, 출력 전력 38.6 dBm에서 80.9 %의 최대 전력 부가 효율(Power Added Efficiency: PAE)을 나타냈으며, 이는 기존에 설계된 고효율 전력 증폭기와 비교했을 때 아주 우수한 효율 특성이다. 또한, W-CDMA 신호입력에 대한 측정 결과, 28.4 dBm의 평균 출력 전력에서 27.8 %의 PAE와 5 MHz offset 주파수에서 -38.8 dBc의 ACLR (Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio)을 보였다. 그리고, 다항식 맞춤 방식의 디지털 전치 왜곡(Digital Predistortion: DPD) 선형화 알고리듬을 구현하여 제작된 전력 증폭기의 ACLR을 6.2 dB 정도 향상시킬 수 있었다.

  • High speed railway is under construction from Seoul to Pusan. A traveling train is large single phase load that consumes 14MW power in feeding system of high speed railroad. In this paper, measurement scheme and method of power system harmonics which are generated from those loads in railroad supply system are described. This measurement scheme will be used as a first step to pave a way to power quality management due to harmonic distortion by the highspeed rail way.

  • 지속시간이 펨토초 수준에 이르는 빛펄스의 전기장 및 위상의 시간적 변화를 잴 수 있는 "이차조화파 발생 프로그(SHG FROG: Second Harmonic Generation Frequency Resolved Optical Gating)" 장치 및 소프트웨어를 개발하고 성능을 확인하였다. 이 장치를 써서 잰 실험값으로부터 빛펄스를 복원하는데는 "주요성분 일반 투영(PCGP: Principal Component Generalized Projection)" 방식에 더하여 프로그 궤적의 주파수 및 시간지연 "한계값(marginal)"과 이차조화파의 분광분포에 대한 조건을 덧붙임으로써 복원과정의 안정성과 수렴속도를 개선하였다.

  • The electric quality of train is represented by voltage and current harmonics at PT(Ratio 25,000/15/[V]) which is located between pantograph and primary winding of train transformer. In this paper, voltage and current harmonics were measured on the test EMU(electric multiple unit)train with maximum speed of 180km/h in existing railway lines(chungbuk, Taeback, Honam). As a results of test, it is found that the electric quality of train depends on the mostly operation conditions which is accelerating mode and braking mode on each sections. Voltage THD is above all 3[%] and current harmonics is monitored from lowest Harmonic to highest Harmonic in case of accelerating mode. But, highest current harmonics is not monitored in case of breaking mode. The results in this paper can help to stabilize the power device and power converter of the test EMU train.

  • 본 논문에서는 측정${\cdot}$분석을 수행한 인천국제공항 여객터미널의 전력계통에 고조파 저감을 위한 고조파필터를 설계하여 이를 적용하였다. 특히 고조파를 다량 발생시키는 기기들에 대하여 향후 대표스펙트럼 선정을 위하여 고조파 측정을 수행하였다. 또한 EDSA를 사용하여 Simulation을 수행하여 수동필터의 고조파 저감효과를 분석하였으며, 또한 APF(Active Power Filter)와 ZSF(Zero Sequence Filter)의 설계를 수행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 SIR CPW 대역통과 여파기의 고조파 억압을 위한 접힌 피드 구조를 제안하였고 이를 이용해 SIR CPW 대역통과 여파기를 설계하였다. 제안된 접힌 피드 구조는 넓은 저지대역을 갖는 저역통과 여파기의 특성을 보이며, CPW 대역통과 여파기에서 고조파 억압에 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 및 측정결과 접힌 피드 구조를 갖는 SIR CPW 대역통과 여파기는 5.8 f$_{0}$까지 -20 dB 이 하로 고조파를 억압하는 우수한 특성을 보임을 알 수 있었다.다.

  • Current differential relays may maloperate during magnetic inrush and over-excitation because a significant differential current is produced. To prevent maloperation, the relays adopt some harmonic components included in the differential current. The harmonic restraints may increase the security of a relay but cause the operating time delay of a relay when an internal fault occurs. Moreover, the operating time delay is more increased if a current transformer (CT) is saturated. This paper describes a current differential relaying algorithm for power transformer protection with a compensating algorithm for the secondary current of a CT. The comparative study was conducted with and without the compensating algorithm. The performance of the proposed algorithm was investigated when the measurement CT (C400) and the protection CT (C400) are used. The proposed algorithm can compensate the distorted current of a CT and thus reduce the operating time delay of the relay significantly for an internal fault with CT saturation.

Dynamic Synchronous Phasor Measurement Algorithm Based on Compressed Sensing

  • The synchronous phasor measurement algorithm is the core content of the phasor measurement unit. This manuscript proposes a dynamic synchronous phasor measurement algorithm based on compressed sensing theory. First, a dynamic signal model based on the Taylor series was established. The dynamic power signal was preprocessed using a least mean square error adaptive filter to eliminate interference from noise and harmonic components. A Chirplet overcomplete dictionary was then designed to realize a sparse representation. A reduction of the signal dimension was next achieved using a Gaussian observation matrix. Finally, the improved orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm was used to realize the sparse decomposition of the signal to be detected, the amplitude and phase of the original power signal were estimated according to the best matching atomic parameters, and the total vector error index was used for an error evaluation. Chroma 61511 was used for the output of various signals, the simulation results of which show that the proposed algorithm cannot only effectively filter out interference signals, it also achieves a better dynamic response performance and stability compared with a traditional DFT algorithm and the improved DFT synchronous phasor measurement algorithm, and the phasor measurement accuracy of the signal is greatly improved. In practical applications, the hardware costs of the system can be further reduced.

  • Most existing telephone speech transmitted in current public networks is band-limited to 0.3-3.4 kHz. Compared with wideband speech(0-8 kHz), the narrowband speech lacks low-band (0-0.3 kHz) and high-band(3.4-8 kHz) components of sound. As a result, the speech is characterized by the reduced intelligibility and a muffled quality, and degraded speaker identification. Bandwidth extension is a technique to provide wideband speech quality, which means reconstruction of low-band and high-band components without any additional transmitted information. Our new approach considers to exploit harmonic synthesis method for reconstruction of low-band speech over the CELP coded speech. A spectral distortion measurement and listening test are introduced to assess the proposed method, and the improvement of synthesized speech quality was verified.

오차의 허용범위를 고려한 수동형 필터의 특성 해석 (Performance Analysis for Passive Filter Considering Allowable Limits of Tolerance)

  • Reactors are connected with capacitors to passive filter circuits for reducing harmonics caused by power conversion application. This passive filter frequently gets out of order by voltage and current stress. Especially filter reactor has too much voltage harmonics components, its trouble rate is higher than capacitor. In this paper, we analyzed voltage and current of reactor and capacitor used for passive filter by simulation and measurement. If reactor has a tolerance on variation of reactance value, series resonance frequency is different from originally filter design frequency and parallel resonance can be generated at the close point of the former. Because filter absorbs harmonic component of non-linear load, much of harmonic voltage has been impacted on reactor.
