고차 구성의 개선된 직류 옵셋 제거 필터 (Advanced DC Offset Removal Filter of High-order Configuration)

  • Fault currents are expressed as a combination of harmonic components and exponentially decaying DC offset components, during the occurrence of fault in power system. The DC offset components are included, when the voltage phase angle of fault inception is closer to $0^{\circ}$ or $180^{\circ}$. The digital protection relay should be detected quickly and accurately during the faults, despite of the distortions of relaying signal by these components. It is very important to implement the robust protection algorithm, that is not affected by DC offset and harmonic components, because most relaying algorithms extract the fundamental frequency component from distorted relaying signal. So, In order to high performance in relaying, advanced DC offset removal filter is required. In this paper, a new DC offset removal filter, which is no need to preset a time constant of power system and accurately estimate the DC offset components with one cycle of data, is proposed, and compared with the other filter. In order to verify performance of the filter, we used collecting the current signals after synchronous machine modeling by ATPDraw5.7p4 software. The results of simulation, the proposed DC offset removal filter do not need any prior information, the phase delay and gain error were not occurred.

  • 대부분의 빌딩과 공장에서는 3상 4선식 저압 배전 시스템으로 전력을 공급받고 있다. 이 방식은 중성선에 전류가 흐르게 하는데 오늘날 전력 변환 기술의 개발과 컴퓨터의 보급으로 심각한 중성 전류가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문은 병렬형 3상 4선 능동 필터를 사용하여 계통의 전원 전압이 불평형이고 불평형 부하 및 비선형 부하가 접속된 상태에서 전원쪽으로 흐르는 중성 전류를 제거시키고, 전원전류의 파형을 정현파로 개선하는데 목적이 있으며, 부하 조건을 변화시키면서 시뮬레이션을 실행하여 능동 필터의 우수한 성능을 입증하였다.

  • 교류 전기철도 급전시스템의 전압, 전류의 왜곡 및 전압 sag과 무효전력을 보상하기 위한 단상 UPQC의 동기좌표계를 이용한 제어 방법을 제안한다. 단상 UPQC의 동기좌표계를 이용한 제어를 통해 단상인버터 형태인 UPQC의 직렬보상기와 병렬보상기를 순시적으로 제어한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 단상 UPQC를 이용하여 비선형 단상 부하인 차량으로 인해 급전시스템에 생길 수 있는 전압, 전류의 왜곡 및 전압 sag과 무효전력의 보상이 가능함을 증명하고, 단상 UPQC의 동기좌표계를 이용한 제어 방법이 타당함을 확인한다.

  • At present, harmonic currents cause serious problems in power conversion system using the semiconductor switching device. Also some of the conversion system provokes harmonic currents against to the main power supply system and causes hindrances for the system. Main power impedance of the traditional LC passive filter method, influences on the filter characteristics and amplifies the harmonics when resonance phenomenon is occurred. And the traditional existing 2 level inverter systems show the limit in capacity of voltage and current in case of occurring sudden load change. So, to solve this problem active filter which uses cascaded H-bridge multi level inverter has been designed and ex-filter system circuits were totally investigated. With multi level active filtering system not only the size of filter but also the size of filter for transformer can be reduced by half and so as to the weight, while the capacity of inverter can be double sized and wave forms can be compensated exactly and precisely. Also by the benefit of the increase in rating capacity, the various currents owing to the load fluctuation can be dealt more steadily. In order to simulate the wave form of harmonics based on the measured data on the AC 25kV high speed Domestic Commercial railway, it was simulated with PSCAD/EMTDC and PSIM. Based on the results of this demonstration, the power supply system and inverter system would be more stable and also promoting its efficiency.

조류 조화상수의 월변동성 완화 방법 고찰 (Investigating the Adjustment Methods of Monthly Variability in Tidal Current Harmonic Constants)

  • This is a preliminary study of the feasibility of obtaining reliable tidal current harmonic constants, using one month of current observations, to verify the accuracy of a tidal model. An inference method is commonly used to separate out the tidal harmonic constituents when the available data spans less than a synodic period. In contrast to tidal constituents, studies of the separation of tidal-current harmonics are rare, basically due to a dearth of the long-term observation data needed for such experiments. We conducted concurrent and monthly harmonic analyses for tidal current velocities and heights, using 2 years (2006 and 2007) of current and sea-level records obtained from the Tidal Current Signal Station located in the narrow waterway in front of Incheon Lock, Korea. Firstly, the l-year harmonic analyses showed that, with the exception of $M_2$ and $S_2$ semidiurnal constituents, the major constituents were different for the tidal currents and heights. $K_1$, for instance, was found to be the 4th major tidal constituent but not an important tidal current constituent. Secondly, we examined monthly variation in the amplitudes and phase-lags of the $S_2$ and $K_1$ current-velocity and tide constituents over a 23-month period. The resultant patterns of variation in the amplitudes and phase-lags of the $S_2$ tidal currents and tides were similar, exhibiting a sine curve form with a 6-month period. Similarly, variation in the $K_1$ tidal constant and tidal current-velocity phase lags showed a sine curve pattern with a 6-month period. However, that of the $K_1$ tidal current-velocity amplitude showed a somewhat irregular sine curve pattern. Lastly, we investigated and tested the inference methods available for separating the $K_2$ and $S_2$ current-velocity constituents via monthly harmonic analysis. We compared the effects of reduction in monthly variability in tidal harmonic constants of the $S_2$ current-velocity constituent using three different inference methods and that of Schureman (1976). Specifically, to separate out the two constituents ($S_2$ and $K_2$), we used three different inference parameter (i.e. amplitude ratio and phase-lag diggerence) values derived from the 1-year harmonic analyses of current-velocities and tidal heights at (near) the short-term observation station and from tidal potential (TP), together with Schureman's (1976) inference (SI). Results from these four different methods reveal that TP and SI are satisfactorily applicable where results of long-term harmonic analysis are not available. We also discussed how to further reduce the monthly variability in $S_2$ tidal current-velocity constants.

DC Link Currents in Frequency Domain for Three-Phase AC/DC/AC PWM Converters

The expression of the harmonic currents is developed by using switching functions and exponential Fourier series expansion. The dc link ripple currents with regard to power factor and modulation index are investigated. In addition, the effect of the displacement angle between the switching periods of line-side converters and load-side inverters on the dc link ripple current is studied. The result of the dc link current analysis is helpful in specifying the dc link capacitor size and its lifetime estimation.

  • This paper describes the synergism of Artificial Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic based approach to improve the reliability of transformer differential protection, the conventional transformer differential protection commonly used a harmonic restraint principle to prevent a tripping from inrush current during initial transformer´s energization but such a principle can not performs the best optimization on tripping time. Furthermore, in some cases there may be false operation such as during CT saturation, high DC offset or harmonic containing in the line.   • This paper presents a synchronous-rotating-frame-based control of single-phase UPQC(Unified Power Quality Conditioner) to improve power quality in ac electrified railway systems. The simulation results show that the UPQC can compensate the harmonic supply voltages, the harmonic load currents, and the reactive power in electrified railway systems. Validity of the proposed UPQC control method based on the synchronous rotating frame is illustrated through the simulation results.
