제주해역 항만시설물의 수리환경적 특성에 관한 연구 (The Hydro-Environmental Characteristics of Port Facilities around the Sea of Cheju Island)

  • In order to effective manage the construction, disaster prevention plan and the harbor tranquility control, meteorological and sea-state characteristics around Cheju Island have been analyzed. Using results and damage examples of the port facilities under severe sea conditions, a reasonable construction control plan considering the regional characteristics of the sea-state and winds was proposed. That is, in northern part of Cheju Island, the construction work is affected mainly by the winter storms, while the typhoon mainly affects the southern part port facilities during summer to Autumn. Considering their typical characteristics, it is strongly suggested that the main construction work should be carried out during April to July in the northern part, and it should be made during October to next July in the southern part of the island. A permeable TTP mounded breakwater was constructed to protect severe waves as a temporal structure under the long-term development plan in Sogipo port. The transmission characteristics of the structure was discussed using the experimental results. The results show that the transmission coefficient $K_{t}$ is over 20% of incident waves, which cause many problems in the cargo handling in relation to harbor tranquility. In conclusion, this kind of permeable structure can be used only as a temporal structure for the disaster prevention under the construction process. It causes many problems in harbor tranquility if it is used as a permanent harbor structures.s.

Development of Korea-China Train Ferry System An Example of Short Sea Shipping in Northeast Asia

  • The train ferry, accommodating trains roll on and off, is often called as 'Railway on the Sea' or 'Blue High-way' since she can connect the railways or roads segregated by the sea and improve the accessibility and continuity of land transport systems. The ferry is especially appropriate to the intermodal transport routes mostly passing through the land but have relatively short sea segment. As the train ferry can considerably reduce the cost and time for cargo handling and modal shift and unnecessitates excessive initial investment on infrastructures such as large harbor cranes or vast container yards, introduction of train Ro-Ro ferries lessen the total transport cost for door-to-door transportation with full exploitation of the existing railway system. All the ports placed in Shandong, Liaoning and Jiangsu provinces of China are connected to the hinterlands via well developed railway and road systems. Therefore, realization of the Incheon-Yantai train ferry system will link Korea railways to TCR and the 4,131-kilometer-long Longhai-Lanxin Railway, along the famous Eurasian Continental Bridge. In the present paper, the Incheon-Yantai train ferry will be introduced as a good example of an efficient multimodal short sea shipping system for Northeast Asia.

Marina Development Impact on the Tranquility of Small Coast Harbor

  • Due to the increased demand for safety and security requirements on the port infrastructure, the harbor tranquility is one of the important parameter in the mooring basin of harbor. It relates keenly to berthing/unberthing and cargo handling works but also it is an important indicator to get the minimum water area as the safe refuge. Hupo harbor is a national coastal harbor located in east coast of Korea and a development plan for a new marina near the entrance is being carried out including berth layouts, breakwater extensions, 300m marina berths, dredging and land reclamation works. The new plan will impact on calmness of the existing port. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze in complex the variation of wave height and direction caused by wave refraction, diffraction, shoaling and reflection from the incident waves from outside the harbor. In order to check the calmness inside a harbor, the numerical models are being used currently need fundamental reviews according to the difference of results which depend on their respective features. In this study, hence, it was introduced the validity of numerical models by comparing the computational results with the hydraulic model experiment. The current investigations contribute to the existing development recommendations and provide further solutions for port planning.

  • 운송 시장은 각 화물별 수요에 맞는 서비스를 제공하기 위해 계속해서 변화해 왔다. 현재 액체류의 운송에는 탱크 컨테이너가 많이 활용되고 있는데, 이 탱크 컨테이너 운송 시장은 지속적으로 성장하는 추세에 있다. 이에 따라 탱크 컨테이너에 맞는 핸들링 수요 역시 늘어나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 탱크 컨테이너 운송 시장의 전반에 대한 사례분석을 토대로, 운송 프로세스 및 관리 방안에 있어서의 개선점을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 정보 단절이 생기는 구간을 없애고 정보의 연속성 확보 및 위험물 관리 효율성 제고를 위해 통합 시스템이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

  • 수중 암반 제거 방법은 화약을 사용한 수중발파와 크레인에 장착된 쇄암봉 낙하 충격을 이용하는 방법 등이 널리 이용된다. 이와 같은 암반 제거 방법은 환경적인 요인에서 지반 진동과 수중 소음을 유발하게 된다. 본 연구 대상 현장은 하역 부두의 접안능력을 향상시키기 위해 기 설치된 잔교식 돌핀 구조물에 근접한 지역의 수중 기반암을 쇄암봉 낙하에 의해 제거하도록 설계되어 있다. 시험시공을 통하여 쇄암봉 낙하 충격으로 유발되는 진동에 대한 계측, 평가를 거쳐 진동 추정식을 획득하였고, 이를 본 공사에 반영하여 구조물에 대한 안전성을 확보하였다.

비전 센서 및 딥러닝 기반 선박 접안을 위한 어라운드뷰 모니터링 시스템 (Vision Sensor and Deep Learning-based Around View Monitoring System for Ship Berthing)

  • This paper proposes vision sensors and deep learning-based around view monitoring system for ship berthing. Ship berthing to the port requires precise relative position and relative speed information between the mooring facility and the ship. For ships of Handysize or higher, the vesselships must be docked with the help of pilots and tugboats. In the case of ships handling dangerous cargo, tug boats push the ship and dock it in the port, using the distance and velocity information receiving from the berthing aid system (BAS). However, the existing BAS is very expensive and there is a limit on the size of the vessel that can be measured. Also, there is a limitation that it is difficult to measure distance and speed when there are obstacles near the port. This paper proposes a relative distance and speed estimation system that can be used as a ship berthing assist system. The proposed system is verified by comparing the performance with the existing laser-based distance and speed measurement system through the field tests at the actual port.

SPM 이안 선박의 조종영역에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Maneuvering Area of Ship in Moving at Single Point Mooring)

  • SPM, which is an abbreviation of Single Point Mooring, also called as SBM(Single Buoy Mooring), is a special buoy besides the quays of the harbor for mooring ships, and is normally a 3m wide cone or cylinder shaped steel drum fixed underwater so it won't move, and is used for mooring cargo-work at outer port by laid-up ships and large crude oil carrier. The work of VLCC SPM mainly is accomplished on the open sea. On the open sea as a result of meteorological condition and the ocean wave influence, When the weather condition is get bed, peremptorily moving to the safety place, because of the gale and the billow, almost happened frequently, the pilot is unable to go on board and the tug is also unable to be used Now because of the bad weather the VLCC SPM moving to the other safety place frequently happened in the ulsan port. the construction of new harbor, it constructed many break water around SPM. So that it is necessary to propose the new standard about how to maneuvering area actually. The standard for handling ranges of the SPM operations was tested and verified by a simulation.. So that it is necessary to propose the new standard about how to maneuvering area actually.

인천항 항만노동자 상용화 이후의 변화(효과)에 대한 연구 -인천항운노조 소속 조합원을 대상으로- (A Study on Effects of the Decasualization of Port Labor in Incheon Port)

  • As basic study on effects of the decasualization of port labor, this paper watched labor supply framework reorganization, focused on port worker in Incheon port at before decasualization(2005~2007.9) and after decasualization(2007.10~2010.5) and analyzed disposal quantity, workers, workdays, productivity, accident and disaster data that was apt to influence by the decasualization of port labor. Though commercial traffic of Incheon port was decreased in global economic depression, individual workday per month after decasualization compared with before decasualization is decreased by 3.3days from 22.7day to 19.4days, on the other hand, indivisual annual loading and unloading throughput is increased averagely 71.6%, and labour productivity, when 2005 labour productivity are 100, are increased by 67%. After decasualization, overall loading and unloading productivity is improved. But, according to loading and unloading, the number of accident and disaster are increase by 11.7% after decasualization for loading and unloading operation.

항내 예선의 적정규모 결정에 관하여 (On Determining the Optimal Amount of Barbour Tagboat)

  • As port transport system consists of subsystems such as navigation system, cargo handling system, storage system, inland transport system, and Management and Information system, the productivity of this system is determined by the minimum level of subsystem. From the viewpoint of elaborating the efficiency of integrated system, it is valuable to determine the optimal level of harbour tug boat which is the most important factor of navigation system. This paper treats the optimal amount of harbour tug boat by simulation, and applied to Pusan port. In the course of simulation, an emperical formula is introduced for determining the Horse Power (HP) of tug boat by the ship's gross tonnage (G/T) refering to the cases of various ports of other countries, that is ; $Y=9.96X^{0.6}+569$. X : The gross tonnage of vessel (G/T). Y : The Horse Power (HP) of tug boat. The results of the simulation are summarized as follows ; 1) In 1987, three or four low-powered harbour tug boats, five mid-powered harbour tug boats and four high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary in the mean level. But, five or seven low-powered harbour tug boats, ten mid-powered harbour tug boats and eight high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary lest delay should occur at all. 2) In 1992, 1lee or four low-powered harbour tug boats, six mid-powered harbour tug boats and seven high-powered harbour tug boats are estimated and be necessary in the mean level.

컨테이네크레인의 개발 대안 선정을 위한 체계적인 절차 (A Systematic Procedure for Selecting the Development Alternatives of Container Cranes)

  • 지속적인 컨테이너 물동량의 증가와 컨테이너선의 대형화에 따라서 항만간의 경쟁은 점점 치열해지고 있다. 주요 항만 하역장비 제작 업체들은 획기적인 생산성 향상을 제공할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 하역장비 개발에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 항만의 대표적 하역 장비인 컨테이너 크레인에 대해서 다양한 개발 대안들이 존재할 때, 최적의 개발 대안을 선정하는 2단계 절차를 제시한다. 절차는 두 단계로 구성되는데, 첫 번째 단계에서는 요구되는 필수사항들을 만족하지 못하는 대안을 제거하고 두 번째 단계에서는 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)를 적용하여 최종적인 개발 대안을 선정한다. 마지막으로, 제시한 절차를 적용한 예제를 제시한다.
