다원 트래픽 수용을 위한 협대역/중대역 스위치망의 구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architecture of Narrowband / Wideband Switching Networks Accommodating Multi-slot Connection Traffic)

  • 본 논문에서는 nx64Kb/s의 다윈 트래픽 수용에 있어서 분리 수용, 부분 혼합 수용, 완전 혼합 수용등의 세가지 형태의 스위치망을 제시하고 다원 트래픽의 호손을 계산 알고리즘을 사용하여 트래픽 혼합비에 따른 각 호소율계산하고 그 특성을 분석하며, 주어진 서비스 등급에서 만족되는 트래픽처리 용량을 알아 본다. 완전 혼합 수용 형태의 스위치는 비교적 적은 양의 중대역 트래픽을 갖는 ISDN 트래픽을 수용할 수 있으며, 중대역 트래픽양이 증가된 경우의 ISDN 트래픽을 수용하기 위해서는 부분 혼합 수용 형태나 분리 수용 형태의 스위치가 필요하다. 앞으로 이러한 연구결과는 다윈 트래픽을 수용하는 ISDN 스위치망 설계에 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 종래의 크레인에서는 생산성 향상을 목적으로 최단 시간내에 작업을 행하는 최단시간제어기법이 사용되었으며, 이률 위해서 목표 위치에 대해서 속도 패턴을 생성하고 속도 패턴에 따라 제어를 행하고 있다. 그러나 최근 항만에서도 녹색항만정책에 의해 에너지의 고효율 사용법이 논의되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 ARMC에 대한 에너지 효율을 검토하기 위한 기초연구로서 ARMC의 3D 모델링을 행하며 ARMC의 가속도 특성에 대하여 분석하도록 한다. 먼저, ARMC의 비선형방정식을 통한 3D 상태방정식을 유도하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통한 ARMC의 가속도 특성을 고찰하여 이상적인 경제적 운전 방법에 대해서 고찰한다.

A Qualitative Study on Customer Management and Response of Apparel Shop Masters

  • The purpose of this study was to categorize customers types in accordance with current shop masters' perception of difficult customers and to identify their responding techniques and know-hows in dealing with those customers in detail, a qualitative study is carried out by conducting thorough interviews with the shop masters. The interview contained questions on occupational hold-ups of shop masters, types of hard-to-handle customers, techniques in handling difficult customers, their know-hows in customer managements and what they perceived as the qualities of a shop master. T The results were as follows: 1) Customers who are perceived as difficult by shop masters are categorized into six types, making unreasonable demands, pointing out product defects, disregarding salespersons, making no purchase after testing products, having no personality and having no response. 2) Responding techniques for difficult customers were categorized into three types, 'active response', 'standby' and 'polite refusal'. 3)The result from the question on know-hows of shop masters in customer management can be divided into 4 groups, providing special treatment or information, building one-to-one relationship with the customer, suggesting garments in accordance with the customer's taste and providing friendly customer service. 4) For the question on perceived qualities as a shop master, individual quality, customer management capacity, work experience and occupational knowledge were answered.

Accumulation of Radiocesium in Mushrooms

  • In spite of colossal efforts taken for safe handling and storage of radioactive waste, the uncontrolled release of radiocesium ($^{137}Cs$ and $^{134}Cs$ isotopes) into the natural environment is inevitable. $^{137}Cs$ is of particular concern because of its long half-life, ability to transfer into biota through food chains, as well as its great mobility, bioavailability, and chemical and ecophysiological similarity with potassium. Radiocesium is released anthropogenically into the environment. Mushrooms are known for their ability to accumulate radionuclides, particularly radiocesium, which is heterogeneously distributed in the individual parts of mushrooms, and it is found that mushrooms are a hyper-accumulator of radiocesium from their environment than other vegetation. Mushrooms play a major role in the mobilization, accumulation, and translocation of cesium, i.e., decontamination of soils (mycoextraction) polluted with cesium radioisotopes, and this capacity appears to be a relevant bioindicator of cesium contamination in the environment. Moreover, the extension of mycelium into the soil makes the use of mushrooms as bioindicators of radiocesium possible. This paper reviews the potential of mushrooms in the accumulation of radiocesium from the environment, and dissertates the salient features to support the employment of mushrooms in environmental biomonitoring as a sensitive bioindicator of radiocesium contamination.

학교 안전교육의 성별 정책 중요도에 관한 AHP 분석 (A Study on Criteria for Handling Hazardous Chemicals)

  • This study analyzed the gender factors and priorities that are on the basis for establishing the school safety education policy according to the times when the demand for customized education is increasing. AHP analysis method was used in the paper for systematic and hierarchical analysis. We had checked a safety education specialist group to identify the priorities of important factors to improve the efficiency of analysis. The male group first considered the change of the beneficiary by policy guidelines, and the female group regarded the change of interest and public opinion as important. This has studied the difference in approach between the two groups, although the key elements of the detailed policy are the same. This study suggests that school safety education is effective in improving effective gender safety education response capacity and ensuring substantive policy sustainability.

Education satisfaction and self-assessment of competency among new general dentists in Korea

  • Dental education is gradually transitioning to competency-based education system, which aims to help dentists achieve certain core competencies by means of various systems, such as curriculum accreditation. This study examined satisfaction with dental school education and the differences in the perceived importance and self-assessment of competencies among general dentists, in an attempt to propose a desirable direction for dental education. A questionnaire was administered to new general dentists who graduated from a dental school within the past 10 years. The results of the survey were analyzed using the Importance-Performance Analysis to understand differences in dentists' perceptions. Overall satisfaction with education was low in terms of the curriculum's relevance to actual practice and its capacity for cultivating required competencies. Furthermore, many of the respondents strongly perceived the need to improve dental education. Additional investigations into the satisfaction with education showed no difference. Among the seven key competency domains, dentists perceived Health Promotion to be important and also assessed themselves as having high competence. However, regarding the perceived importance of the remaining domains, self-assessment of competence was low for Professionalism, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Knowledge Base, Information Handling & Critical Thinking, Clinical Information Gathering, Diagnosis & Treatment Planning, and Establishment & Maintenance of Oral Health. The results of this study suggest that a competency-based education model should be developed and incorporated into dental education to set performance standards and to promote systematic self-assessment in order to foster the development of competence in dental students.

전자석 그리퍼를 이용한 기와 받침틀 이송 자동화 장비 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of an automated device for the transportation of roof tiles using electromagnetic grippers)

  • This study aims to enhance the price and quality competitiveness of imported tiles by developing a robotic tile production automation line. The development process involved several steps, such as requirement analysis, derivation of technical specifications, conceptual design, engineering feasibility review, detailed design, and production. Emphasis was placed on the transfer process of the tiles' molds, and technological advancements were achieved through engineering interpretation, feasibility review, and performance evaluation. The developed automation system incorporates key specifications to ensure a transfer success rate of over 90%, thereby ensuring stable transportation of the tiles and minimizing defect rates during production. The maximum weight capacity for tile pick-up was set above 6 kg, allowing effective handling of tiles weighing 6 kg or less in automated tasks. Furthermore, the system enables safe and precise movement of the tiles to the desired location, with a transfer distance of at least 1.3 m and a transfer speed exceeding 0.2 m/sec, thereby increasing production efficiency.

AUTOMATIC CABBAGE FEEDING, PILING, AND UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR TRACTOR IMPLEMENTED CHINESE CABBAGE HARVESTER

  • Since Chinese cabbages weigh 3 to 5kgf and are big in size at the time of harvest, handling operations such as harvesting, loading and unloading including transportation require the highest labor demand among all other cultivation processes. Recently, though several cabbage harvesters were developed in Japan and Europe, those harvesters were not suitable for Chinese cabbages cultivated in Korea because of the size and shape. The cabbage harvester is almost meaningless without any proper cabbage piling and pallet unloading mechanism. Most harvesters developed so far adopted a sort of slide and free falling way in collecting cabbages into the pallet. Three or four labors are usually required for cleaning incoming cabbages and loading those in the pallet. Because of the required time for piling cabbages without severe damage and the required space capacity to carry empty and loaded pallets, harvesting speed should be adjusted in accordance with time required for consecutive operations. Up to now, any automatic or semi-automatic collecting device has not been developed in the world to pile cabbages on the layer one by one into the pallet in the ordered way with little damage and to unload pallet from the harvester continuously during the harvest process. To compromise system expenses and function, Semi-automatic cabbage piling and pallet unloading mechanism was devised and it required one labor. The foldable mesh pallet with a size of 1050mm x 1050mm x 1000mm and holding capacity of around 70 cabbages was utilized. The prototype for piling and unloading mechanism was composed of three parts such as feeding device, automatic piling device with retractable bellows, and pallet unloading device. Prior to developing the prototype, the geometric properties and the amount of the damage of the cabbage caused during the piling operation were investigated. Considering the height of the pallet, a series of cabbage carrying plates were mounted to the bracket chain to lift and to carry cabbages to the loading device. Indoor laboratory experiments showed that the cabbage carrying chain conveyor worked successfully. Considering the conveying speed 0.46m/sec of the pull up belt from the cabbages on the ground, the speed of cabbage carrying chain conveyor worked property in the range of 0.26m/sec to 0.36m/sec. The system allowed the operator to modify the position of cabbage slightly. Overall system worked successfully resulting into almost same capacity without severe damage to the cabbage as human did.

Assessment of Respiratory Problems in Workers Associated with Intensive Poultry Facilities in Pakistan

  • Background: The poultry industry in Pakistan has flourished since the 1960s; however, there are scarce data regarding the impact of occupational exposure on the pulmonary health of farm workers in terms of years working in the industry. The objective of the present study was to assess the effect of poultry environment on the health of occupationally exposed poultry farmers in countries of warm climatic regions, such as Pakistan. This study will also show the effect of exposure to poultry facilities on the health of poultry farmers in the context of low-income countries with a relatively inadequate occupational exposure risk management. Materials and methods: The lung function capacity of 79 poultry workers was measured using a spirometer. Along with spirometry, a structured questionnaire was also administrated to obtain information about age, height, weight, smokers/nonsmokers, years of working experience, and pulmonary health of farm workers. The workers who were directly involved in the care and handling of birds in these intensive facilities were considered and divided into four groups based on their years of working experience: Group I (3-10 months), Group II (1-5 years), Group III (6-10 years), and Group IV (more than 11 years). The forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) and the FEV1/FVC ratio were considered to identify lung function abnormalities. Statistical analysis was carried out using independent sample t test, Chi-square test, Pearson's correlation, and linear regression. Results: Based on the performed spirometry, 68 (86 %) of workers were found normal and healthy, whereas 11 (14 %) had a mild obstruction. Of the 11 workers with mild obstruction, the highest number with respect to the total was in Group IV (more than 11 years of working experience) followed by Group III and Group II. Most of the workers were found healthy, which seems to be because of the healthy survivor effect. For the independent sample t test, a significant difference was noticed between healthy and nonhealthy farmers, whereas Chi-square test showed a significant association with height, drugs, and working experience. Linear regression that was stratified by respiratory symptoms showed for workers with symptoms, regression models for all spirometric parameters (FVC, FEV1, and FEV1/FVC) have better predictive power or R square value than those of workers without symptoms. Conclusion: These findings suggest that lung function capacity was directly related to years of working experience. With increasing number of working years, symptoms of various respiratory problems enhanced in the poultry workers. It should be noted that most of the poultry workers were healthy and young, the rationale being that there is a high turnover rate in this profession. The mobility in this job and our finding of 86% of the healthy workers in the present study also proposed healthy worker survivor effect.

마이크로파 응용을 위한 고온초전도 필터 서브-시스템

  • 고온초전도 필터의 무부하 양호도 값(unloaded Q-value)이 매우 높기 때문에, 삽입손실의 증가없이 극수(pole number)를 크게 증가시킨 대역통과 및 저역통과 필터를 제작할 수 있다(현재, 70-pole 대역통과 필터가 개발). 초전도 필터는 급준한 스컷 특성과 차단대역에 대한 양호한 감쇠수준을 얻을 수 있고, 집중상수형 공진기(lumped element resonators)를 사용하거나 지연파(slow wave) 특성을 활용하면 소형화가 가능하다. 다성분계인 산화물(oxide) 고온초전체를 에피택셜 박막 및 대면적(4-인치급) 박막으로 제조함으로서 다양한 구조의 평면형(planar type) 필터 개발뿐만 아니라, 전력처리력(power handling capability)도 향상시킬 수 있게 되었다. 최근에 고온초전도 평면형 필터는 반도체 저잡음 증폭기(GaAs-based LNA), 초소형 냉각기(mini-cooler)와 집적되어 서브-시스템화되었다. 그리고 이동통신 기지국용 수신전치부(receiver front-end) 서브-시스템으로 발전하여 통신시스템의 잡음수준과 인접한 주파수 대역에 의한 전파간섭을 현저히 줄일 수 있고, 동시에 주파수 이용효율의 향상과 통신시스템의 용량증대도 가능케 하고 있다. 본고에서는 고온초전도체 필터의 원리, 종류 및 설계법, 그리고 초전도 필터의 특징과 상품화의 요구사항에 대해 알아보고, 이동통신 기지국 수신 전치부용으로 사용되고 있는 고온초전도 필터 시스템개발과 관련된 연구 및 시장 동향의 특징들을 살펴보고자 한다.
