영상특징을 이용한 로봇의 시각적 구동 방법 (Visual Servoing of an Eye-In-Hand Robot Based on Features)

  • 본 논문에서는 시각정보에 의하여 로봇을 제어하기위해 영상으로부터 추출되는 feature를 이용하는 한 방법을 제안한다. 특별히 feature에 대한 수학적인 정의를 제안하였으며 로봇의 움직임과 feature vector의 미소한 변화 사이의 관계를 기술하였다. 이 과정에서 feature jacobian matrix와 그의 gene-ralized inverse가 사용되었다. 로봇 자유도의 수보다 많은 feature를 사용하면 visual servoing의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 여러 예를 통하여, 본 논문에서 제안된 방법이 유효함을 보였다.

The Advantage of an Ethical Supply Chain to Increase Consumer's Attention

  • Purpose: Through an ethical supply chain, brands not only catch the eye but win over a fan base of consumers who prize credibility and consistency in what they purchase. Currently, the ethical supply chain is no longer just a manufacturing process; it has become a compelling story. It draws people's attention and wins their loyalty. This research study will examine the benefits of an ethical supply chain in attracting consumer attention and building brand loyalty. Research design, data and methodology: For this research study, A detailed method was used to search and analyze relevant articles. Initial searches used set terms in certain databases. Screening criteria were the thorough scrutiny of titles and abstracts to decide their relevance to the study at hand. Thus, to enhance the quality of data, duplicate entries were deleted. Results: Based on the analysis of the prior literature, the results highlight the power of ethical saliency, showing that consumers themselves are looking for and rewarding products that meet their ethical standards. This attention to ethically transparent brands, in turn, encourages more interest and interaction with them. Conclusions: Therefore, practitioners must transmit the firm's ethical standards through all channels of communication-investor relations materials and financial reports alike.

대학생들의 인지양식에 따른 관찰에서의 안구 운동 분석 (An Analysis of Eye Movement in Observation According to University Students' Cognitive Style)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 시선 이동을 통해 나타나는 인지양식에 따른 관찰 특성을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전체적 인지양식, 분석적 인지양식 집단의 관찰 사실에 차이를 보이는 관찰 과제를 개발하고, 각각의 인지양식을 가진 대학생들을 대상으로 관찰 과제를 제시했을 때 안구 운동을 측정하였다. 통계 자료와 시각화 자료를 수집하여 Fixation을 분석하였고 두 인지양식 집단의 관찰 특성 차이를 확인하였다. 이 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지양식에 따른 응시시간 빈도를 확인하기 위해 과제에 대한 각 집단의 응시시간, 전체 Fixation 개수, 그리고 30초동안의 Fixation 개수의 평균값을 비교했을 때 전체적 인지양식 집단이 전체 Fixation 개수, 30초에서의 Fixation 개수가 더 많았다. 이것은 전체적 인지양식 집단이 분석적 인지양식 집단보다 더 많은 지점을 관찰하였고, 분석적 인지양식 집단은 더 적은 수의 지점을 관찰하며 특정한 지점에 집중하는 성향을 나타낸다는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 인지양식에 따른 관찰 비중을 비교했을 때 거미를 관찰하는 비중은 분석적 인지양식이 집단이, 주변 환경을 관찰하는 비중은 전체적 인지양식에서 높았고, 부분적 생김새를 관찰하는 비중은 분석적 인지양식이 집단이, 전체적 생김새를 관찰하는 비중은 전체적 인지양식 집단이 더 높았다. 전체적 인지양식 집단은 주변 환경의 부분적 생김새와 거미의 전체적 생김새를 관찰하는 비중이 높고, 분석적 인지양식 집단은 거미의 부분적 생김새를 관찰하는 비중이 매우 높다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해보면 인지양식에 따라 관찰 시간, 빈도, 대상, 영역, 비중에 차이가 있음을 알 수 있다. 학습자마다 다양한 관찰 결과가 나타나는 원인이 인지양식에 따라 받아들이는 정보의 차이에 있음을 확인하였고, 본 연구의 결과는 학습자의 특성에 가장 적합한 관찰 수행을 파악하고 지도하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

멀티모달 인터랙션을 위한 사용자 병렬 모달리티 입력방식 및 입력 동기화 방법 설계 (Design of Parallel Input Pattern and Synchronization Method for Multimodal Interaction)

  • Multimodal interfaces are recognition-based technologies that interpret and encode hand gestures, eye-gaze, movement pattern, speech, physical location and other natural human behaviors. Modality is the type of communication channel used for interaction. It also covers the way an idea is expressed or perceived, or the manner in which an action is performed. Multimodal Interfaces are the technologies that constitute multimodal interaction processes which occur consciously or unconsciously while communicating between human and computer. So input/output forms of multimodal interfaces assume different aspects from existing ones. Moreover, different people show different cognitive styles and individual preferences play a role in the selection of one input mode over another. Therefore to develop an effective design of multimodal user interfaces, input/output structure need to be formulated through the research of human cognition. This paper analyzes the characteristics of each human modality and suggests combination types of modalities, dual-coding for formulating multimodal interaction. Then it designs multimodal language and input synchronization method according to the granularity of input synchronization. To effectively guide the development of next-generation multimodal interfaces, substantially cognitive modeling will be needed to understand the temporal and semantic relations between different modalities, their joint functionality, and their overall potential for supporting computation in different forms. This paper is expected that it can show multimodal interface designers how to organize and integrate human input modalities while interacting with multimodal interfaces.

Development of a Biped Walking Robot Actuated by a Closed-Chain Mechanism

  • We developed a new type of human-sized BWR (biped walking robot), named KUBIR1 which is driven by the closed-chain type of actuator. A new type of the closed-chain actuator for the robot is developed, which is composed of the four-bar-link mechanism driven by the ball screw which has high strength and high gear ratio. Each leg of the robot is composed of 6 D.O.F joints. For front walking, three pitch joints and one roll joint at the ankle. In addition to this, one yaw joint for direction change, and another roll joint for balancing the body are attached. Also, the robot has two D.O.F joints of each hand and three D.O.F. for eye motion. There are three actuating motors for stereo cameras for eyes. In all, a 18 degree-of-freedom robot was developed. KUBIR1 was designed to walk autonomously by adapting small 90W DC motors as the robot actuators and batteries and controllers are on-boarded. The whole weight for Kubir1 is over 90Kg, and height is 167Cm. In the paper, the performance test of KUBIR1 will be shown.

  • Apartment building, which has been accompanied by economic growth in Korea, is a home of life and has the value overlapping as housing and assets. The improvement of consumer's eye level and development of related technology and related service development have positive function that enriches society and creates economic wealth. On the other hand, the clash and conflict between stakeholders increase social unrest and waste our competitiveness by economic loss. The term of warranty liability of apartment building is an important issue of defect lawsuits and is only a few quantitative standards. However, in this study, we examined the revision history of the law and ordinances for the reinforced concrete construction. As a result, establishing and revising the relevant standard, there is no definite basis system to support it. To improve this, the efforts to provide the standard for term of warranty liability and quantitative and objective basis to support it should be accompanied continuously.

패션 드로잉을 위한 기초교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Basic Education Program of Fashion Drawing)

  • This study is to develop a fashion drawing education program which is based on the theory of 'Split-brain' by Roger W. Sperry and 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' by Betty Edwards. Students in Fashion Design start their training by developing a foundation in drawing and studing the tools, materials and methods of the Industry. Ideas are then developed on paper, later translated into three-dimensional shapes and finally into finished garments. Fashion drawing and design techniques train the hand and eye to all the nuances of fashion design and illustration. Fashion drawing course deals with the sketching of fashion models for the purpose of understanding the model figure, basic anatomy, movement and figure attitudes. Having mastered the basic skills, students take advanced drawing course which is developing awareness of design, needs, of fashion market' using various media for the purpose of developing a designer's sketch, with emphasis on the drawing and designs. Featured aspects of this study include the following; 1. Drawing the negative space; basic visual concepts 2. Contour drawing; constructs, visual measurement, movement 3. Model drawing; the classical method, proportion, symmetry. The primary aim of this study is to develop a sensitive, animated line based on observed form. It is important to let the students Imagine that they are actually touching the model, for in this way they can benefit from simulating the child's learning process. Instead of actually touching the model they are using their eyes as an extension of their sense of touch.

  • This paper proposes a robust image-based visual servoing scheme using a nonlinear observer for a monocular eye-in-hand manipulator. The proposed control method is divided into a range estimation phase and a target-tracking phase. In the range estimation phase, the range from the camera to the target is estimated under the non-moving target condition to solve the uncertainty of an interaction matrix. Then, in the target-tracking phase, the feature point uncertainty caused by the unknown motion of the target is estimated and feature point errors converge sufficiently near to zero through compensation for the feature point uncertainty.

  • A conventional treatment machine shapes x-ray fields by a set of dense metal collimators(jaws) built into the machine. These collimators are positioned by the therapist using hand controls in the treatment room, and usually remain stationary during treatment. The collimator jaws of treatment machines produce rectangular beams. Conventional beam shaping is accomplished through the use of a combination of these collimator jaws and secondary custom beam blocks attached to the accelerator beyond the collimator Jaws. The jaw positions for a particular field can be retrieved from a computer. One application of this increased capability is replacement of beam blocks for field-shaping with the MLC. There are three basic applications of the MLC. The first application is to replace conventional blocking. A second function of the MLC is related to conformal therapy, adjusting the field shape to match the beam's eye view projection of a planning target volume during treatment. The third application is the use of the MLC to achieve beam intensity modulation. The aim of this paper is to provide basic principle and to state fundamental concepts needed to implement the use of a multileaf collimator in the conventional clinical setting. The use of MLC field shaping is likely to save time and to incur a lower operating cost when compared to the use of beam blocks.

The Ideal Image of Man of Ancient Chinese in Shi Jing (詩經)

  • It is a universal phenomenon for people to establish ideal images of man according to a specific time, society and race. Thus, people have invested endless endeavor to reach the standard of ideal image. Especially, they made efforts to embody the ideal image of man as a perfect human image using appearance feature like a human body and clothing. Shi jing(詩經) is considered as a very valuable source book which reveals the life style, customs, thinking, ideas, and emotion of people of that period. The purpose of this study is to analyze the ideal image of man and woman which ancient Chinese pursued, focusing Shi jing(詩經). The results are as following. The ideal image of man is nice, handsome, dignified, generous and gentle. Besides, he should have adequate sense of humor, tall height. clear eye, broad forehead, moderate and upright behavior, outstanding horsemanship and marksmanship and braveness. Meanwhile, the ideal image of woman was described as gentle, decent, and graceful. Also, she should have tall height, light complexion, pretty hand, long neck, broad forehead, clear eyes, and charming black hair. The ideal beauty of woman included nobility and elegant personality in addition to the good physical appearance.
