  • In this paper, we proposed availability evaluation of network in mobile communication network that have hand off structure. Radio mobile communication network is essential hand off action to keep communication that is no discontinuance by transfer of terminal. Part by state and hand off state ago hand off by transfer of terminal and communication network is estimated performance according to the hand off rate and hand off completion rate of system. we applied MS, SM, MM communication structure in radio CORBA for network availability evaluate. System availability in mobile communication network that can repair that propose in this study uses the hand off rate and hand off completion rate of system by transfer of terminal and availability of whole system did evaluate.

  • Although current wireless mesh network (WMN) applications experience a perceptually uninterrupted hand-off, their throughput after the hand-off event may be significantly degraded due to the low available bandwidth of the mobile client's new master. In this paper, we propose a novel mobility management scheme for 802.11-based WMNs that enables both seamless hand-off for transparent communications, and bandwidth awareness for stable application performance after the hand-off process. To facilitate this, we (i) present a new buffer moment in support of the fast Layer-2 hand-off mechanism to cut the packet loss incurred in the hand-off process to zero and (ii) design a dynamic admission control to grant joining accepts to mesh clients. We evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of the proposal for both UDP and TCP traffic, as well as the fairness of the proposal. Our results show that the new scheme can not only minimize hand-off latency, but also maintain the current application rates of roaming users by choosing an appropriate new master for joining.

  • This research was designed to compare the subjective evaluation of Hand between on- and off-line by structure and sensible characteristics of fabric. 113 subjects who have a fashion design major evaluated the subjective evaluation of Hand of various 16 kinds of specimens on- and off-line. T-test and pearson correlation coefficient were used for statistical analysis by SPSS WIN 11.0. The results of this study were as follows: The results of correlation analysis of the evaluation score indicated that Crash and Satin show high correlation between two kinds of evaluation score. But, fabrics which have distinct characteristics such as Plush, Dobby, Seersucker represented low correlation coefficient. The results of t-test fer the difference of the evaluation score showed that thin fabrics like Organdy represent a large difference between on- and off-line evaluation. On the other hand, twill weaved fabrics like Drill, Tweed, Saxony did not show many differences. Analysing each item in terms of correlation of evaluation of hand between on- and off-line gave results that the shininess was most deliverable through on-line and density and the dryness was not so deliverable through on-line. Comparison of evaluation score between on- and off-line items showed that the estimation to real fabric is more negative than that of on-line. The results of most preferable hand between on-and off-line showed exact opposite preference between shinny, smooth and soft Satin and rough, woolen Tweed. Organdy showed the most different subjective evaluation of hand in real ones compared with that of on-line.

  • Recently, due to the rapid technological progress, CDMA cellular system is widely used for voice, data and multimedia services. But the analysis for voice-data integrated traffic has not been done satisfactorily. Moreover, there is few research results for voice-data integrated traffic. In this paper, we propose an effective channel allocation algorithm for CDMA cellular system which serves voice-data integrated traffic. As for the proposed channel allocation algorithm, new calls and hand-off calls first attempt to connect micro-cell. We model the channel allocating scheme as a Birth-and-Death process. We reserve a few hand-off dedicated channels and calculate the blocking probability of hand-off calls varying the number of hand-off dedicated channels. Then we decide the number of hand-off dedicated channels satisfying the proper QoS(Quality of Service) and minimum blocking probability.

  • Mobile IPv6 generates the loss of packets and out of sequencing when hand off, In this paper, We propose a improved hand off techniques using the mobility pattern of mobile nodes. As making group by presetting the moving range of mobile nodes, and putting buffer server in the group, the packet loss and out of packet sequence can be reduced. The proposed method prevents the out of packet sequence in If level which can be happened in the stable state, minimizes the packet re-send in TCP level. In the simulation, the proposed hand off techniques transmits packets efficiently by using the mobility pattern of mobile nodes.

  • This paper deals with subcarrier allocation strategies for soft hand-over in OFDMA-based cellular systems. Two possible subcarrier allocation methods are considered for soft hand-over. One method is to use an identical subcarrier set between the two cells participating in the hand-over. The other is to use different subcarrier sets between the two cells. As expected, the different subcarrier strategy is better in terms of diversity order and BER than the identical subcarrier strategy. It will be shown that the BER performance difference between the two strategies is more noticeable with contiguous subcarrier allocation. But the different subcarrier strategy consumes twice more frequency resources than the other, and there is a trade-off between the two strategies in terms of BER and frequency resources. By considering the trade-off, we also propose a subcarrier allocation strategy for soft hand-over.

  • Location awareness is one of the key functions to build an U-city. Recently, many of works for the location-aware systems are emerging to be applied to on-going large-scale apartment complex. For example, when dwellers or cars with active tags are move in the apartment complex, the active tags broadcast their own identifiers periodically and receivers such that routers use this information to calculate the location of the active tags. Since the active tags can actually move between routers and coordinators, it requires a hand-off mechanism. In this paper, we investigate the hand-off problem occurred in location awareness system based on ZigBee active tags. We propose and analyze a new approach for handling the hand-off problem. Through a mathematical analysis, we show that our approach diminishes the quantity of packet transfer than ZigBee's approach.

  • The reuse partitioning system in microcellular networks are dropped performance of system because of increase hand-off of high-speed terminal. In this paper, we propose hand-off algorithm to improve the performance of reuse partitioning system using microcell according to the ratio of traffic distribution between innercell and outercell from resource management of high-speed and slowspeed terminal. Also, we compare to RPS and evaluate the teletraffic performance analysis of high-speed and slow-speed terminal through computer simulations that we derive the hand-off probability, call dropping probability.

  • The most popular communication protocol is those defined by the IEEE 802.11 WLAN to support broadband internet connection. The demand for real-time multimedia service is increasing through WLAN on the road. The Hand-off function of mobile terminal is essential to support mobility. But, the hand-off function of IEEE 802.11 WLANs has the latency up to 300ms, and recent research has focusing on channel scanning and reconnection to AP and certification process of AP. It is also the lack of consideration in related works that hand-off happens frequently when the mobile node is moving. This paper proposed the hand-off algorithm that guarantees high throughput and estimates the point which may occur hand-off using GPS information and RSSI. We implement the proposed hand-off function that achieves the best performance.

  • In this paper, we proposed an effective multicast causal order algorithm with hand-off protocol for mobile networks. Since the size of control informations needed to enforce message transfer order has much influence on the performance of hand-off and message transfer in mobile networks, size of control information need to be minimized. We reduced the size of control information by analyzing all the valid communication patterns and pruning redundant information not required to enforce causal order as early as possible, and used hand-off protocol which requires minimal amount of control information to be transferred. By simulation, we found that the proposed algorithm showed better performance than other existing algorithms.
