인지적 정신과제 판정을 위한 EEG해석 (EEG Analysis for Cognitive Mental Tasks Decision)

  • 본 논문에서는 정신적 과제수행 동안 EEG 뇌파의 정확한 분류방법에 관하여 기술한다. 피험자는 실험 task에서 시각적 자극에 대한 반응, 문제의 해석, 손동작 제어와 키 선택을 수행한다. 선택시간을 감지하기 위하여 측정한 뇌파로부터 $\alpha$, $\beta$, $\theta$, $\gamma$를 분리하고 4가지의 특징들을 해석한파. 이 특징들을 분석하여 각 피험자별로 공통적인 특징플로 구성된 일반 규칙을 설정한다. 본 시스템의 신경망은 1개의 은닉층을 갖는 3층의 피드포워드 신경망 구조를 가지며 학습에는 역전파 학습 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 4명의 피험자를 대상으로 설정한 알고리즘들을 적용하여 평균 87% 분류 성공률을 보였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 인지적인 정신과제 판별을 위한 방법들과 결합하여 BCI 기술을 위한 기반 기술로 활용될 수 있다.

상지장애인을 위한 시선 인터페이스에서 포인터 실행 방법의 오작동 비교 분석을 통한 Eye-Voice 방식의 제안 (A Proposal of Eye-Voice Method based on the Comparative Analysis of Malfunctions on Pointer Click in Gaze Interface for the Upper Limb Disabled)

  • Computers are the most common tool when using the Internet and utilizing a mouse to select and execute objects. Eye tracking technology is welcomed as an alternative technology to help control computers for users who cannot use their hands due to their disabilities. However, the pointer execution method of the existing eye tracking technique causes many malfunctions. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a gaze tracking interface that combines voice commands to solve the malfunction problem when the upper limb disabled uses the existing gaze tracking technology to execute computer menus and objects. Usability verification was conducted through comparative experiments regarding the improvements of the malfunction. The upper limb disabled who are hand-impaired use eye tracking technology to move the pointer and utilize the voice commands, such as, "okay" while browsing the computer screen for instant clicks. As a result of the comparative experiments on the reduction of the malfunction of pointer execution with the existing gaze interfaces, we verified that our system, Eye-Voice, reduced the malfunction rate of pointer execution and is effective for the upper limb disabled to use.

축류 압축기 팁 누설 유동의 비정상 특성에 관한 연구 (Unsteadiness of Tip Leakage Flow in an Axial Compressor)

  • Three dimensional unsteady numerical calculations were performed to investigate unsteadiness of the tip leakage flow in an axial compressor. The first stage of the four-stage low-speed research axial compressor was examined. Since this compressor has a relatively large tip clearance, the unsteadiness of the tip leakage flow is induced. Through the results from the unsteady calculations, the process of the induced unsteady tip leakage flow was investigated. It was shown that the leakage flow that occurred at a rotor blade tip clearance affected the pressure distribution on the pressure side near the tip of the adjacent blade, thus caused the fluctuation of the pressure difference between the pressure side and suction side. Consequently, the unsteady tip leakage flow was induced at the adjacent rotor blade. The unsteady feature of the tip leakage flow was changed as the operating point was moved. The interface between the tip leakage flow and the main flow only affected the trailing edge region at the design point whereas the interface influenced up to the leading edge at the low flow rate point. As the flow rate decreased, additionally, it was seen that the vortex size of the tip leakage flow increased and the relatively large length scale disturbance occurred. On the other hand, using frequency analysis, it was shown that the unsteadiness was not associated with the rotor speed and was about 40% of the blade passing frequency. This feature was explained in the rotor relative frame of reference, and the frequency decreased as the flow rate decreased.

Pseudo-MOSFET을 이용한 SiGe-on-SOI의 Ge 농도에 따른 기판의 특성 평가 및 열처리를 이용한 전기적 특성 개선 효과 (Evaluation of SGOI wafer with different concentrations of Ge using pseudo-MOSFET)

  • Pseudo-MOSFET 방법을 이용하여 Ge농도에 따른 SiGe-on-Insulator(SGOI) 기판의 특성을 평가하였다. SGOI 기판은 compressive-SiGe / Relaxed-Si / Buried oxide / Si-substrate 구조로 SOI 기판 위에 에피택셜 성장법으로 SiGe층을 형성하였으며 compressive SiGe층의 Ge 농도는 각각 16.2%, 29.7%, 34.3%, 56.5% 이다. 실험결과 Ge 농도가 증가함에 따라 누설전류가 증가하는 특성을 보였으며 threshold voltage는 nMOSFET의 경우 3V에서 7V로 이동하였으며 pMOSFET의 경우도 -7 V에서 -6 V로 이동하는 특성을 보였다. 급속 열처리 공정 (rapid thermal anneal) 후에 매몰 산화층과 기판 계면간의 스트레스에 의한 포획준위가 발생하여 소자특성이 열화되었지만, $H_2/N_2$ 분위기에서 후속 열처리 공정 (post RTA anneal) 을 통하여 계면 간의 포획준위를 감소시켜 SGOI Pseudo-MOSFET의 전기적 특성이 개선되었다.

ITU-T와 IETF의 NGN 중심의 디지털 컨버전스 시대의 인터넷 QoS 가치사슬과 관련된 글로벌 표준화 활동 (Implications of TMF and QuEST Programs to Global Standardization Activities on Internet QoS in the Era of Digital Convergence)

  • Our society is increasingly dependent on the Internet, and this trend will be accelerating in the ear of All-IP convergence. As the core infrastructure of the All-IP convergence, the next generation Internet should enable end-to-end Quality of Service(e2e QoS). For that purpose, major international standardization institutes such as ITU(International Telecommunication Union) and IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) are building the concept and architecture of the Next Generation Network(NGN). However, these institutes focus only on technical issues, and leave many business/policy-oriented challenges unresolved. For example, the standards raised by ITU assume that the entire service delivery process for e2e QoS services is perfectly working. But required is a standardized business interface and process for seamless inter-operations across many stakeholders including ISPs(Internet Service Providers), CPs(Content Providers), so on. On the other hand, TMF(TeleManagement Forum) and QuEST(Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunication) Forum, global consortiums of telecom operators and vendors, present sets of interface rules and process which playa crucial role as de facto standards: for example, NGOSS/eTOM and TL9000 authorization system. However, these standards focus on telephone services, and provide little principle for the next generation Internet. Our study seeks a way to combine these two strains for a successful implementation of NGN. In particular, we find a missing link in the NGN architecture and the elements that could be complemented with the help of NGOSS/eTOM and TL9000. Finally, presented is a strategic direction that our standardization policy should purse in order to reinforce our global leadership for the next generation Internet.

1 wt.% Bi 함유 무연황동의 인장강도와 내식특성에 대한 연구 (Characteristics of Tensile Strength and Corrosion Resistance of Lead- free Brass Containing 1 wt.% of Bi)

  • This study has been investigated for tensile properties with lead-free brass containing 1 wt.% of Bi. And also characteristic of corrosion resistance was analyzed by polarization test. An increase of tempering temperature was found to tend to decrease tensile strength, and percentage of elongation was shown to be the lowest value at $300^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, the elongation was increased with an increase of tempering temperature after $300^{\circ}C$. The change of mechanical properties was closely related with the content and shape of acicular Witmanst$\ddot{a}$tten ${\alpha}$ formed at the interface of ${\beta}$ phase as well as in ${\beta}$ phase. Tensile strength had a tendency to be decreased with an increase of test temperature. The elongation was shown to be the lowest value at around $300^{\circ}C$, while it began to increase as test temperature rose after $300^{\circ}C$. It might be speculated that the reason that elongation was decreased was found to form bismuth film at the interface of ${\alpha}/{\beta}$ phase leading to be easily brittle when loaded by tensile stress. The lead-free brass containing 1 wt.% of Bi had similar characteristic of corrosion resistance with a free-cutting brass with 3.4 wt. % of Pb in spite of higher fraction of ${\beta}$ phase.

BDMI+ 양이온을 함유한 이온성 액체로부터 흑연으로의 전기화학적 리튬 삽입 (Electrochemical Lithium Intercalation within Graphite from Ionic Liquids containing BDMI+ Cation)

  • 흑연과 1-buthyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium(BDMI)계 이온성 액체의 계면 반응을 이해하기 위하여 lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide(LiTFSI)가 용해된 BDMI-TFSI 용액 중에서 전기화학 원자간력 현미경(electrochemical atomic force microscopy, ECAFM)을 이용하여 순환 전압전류법 전후에 있어서의 고배향성 열분해 흑연(highly oriented pyrolytic graphite, HOPG)의 표면을 in-situ로 관찰하였다. HOPG 전극에서 리튬의 가역적인 삽입과 탈리반응은 진행되지 않았으며, $BDMI^+$ 양이온의 삽입에 의한 blister의 형성 및 그라펜 층의 파괴만이 관찰되었다. 한편, $BDMI^+$ 양이온의 삽입 반응은 농도가 4.90 mol/kg인 LiTFSI-propylene carbonate(PC)를 15 wt% 함유하고 있는 BDMI-TFSI계에서는 일어나지 않았으며, 이 경우에는 가역적인 리튬의 삽입과 탈리반응이 진행 되었다. ECAFM 결과는 고농도의 PC계 용액이 solid electrolyte interface(SEI)를 형성함으로 인해 $BDMI^+$ 양이온의 삽입을 막는 매우 효과적인 첨가제임을 나타내었다.

Cu-8.6wt%Al 삽입금속을 사용한 페라이트계 스테인리스강의 아크 브레이징 접합부의 미세조직과 인장성질 (Microstructures and Tensile Properties in Arc Brazed Joints of Ferritic Stainless Steel using Cu-8.6%Al Insert Metal)

  • Microstructures and tensile properties in arc brazed joints of ferritic stainless steel, 429EM using Cu-8.6%Al insert metal was investigated as function of brazing current. The brazing speed was fixed at 800mm/min and brazing current varied in the range of 80A to 120A. The initial phase of filler metal was Cu single phase. However, the insert metal structures of brazed joints was composed of Cu matrix and intermetallic compound such as ${\gamma}_1(Al_4Cu_9)$, and flower-shape Fe-Cr. The fraction of ${\gamma}_1(Al_4Cu_9)$ phase was similar with 80A and 100A brazing currents while that of brazed with 120A was decreased. On the other hand, the fraction of Fe-Cr phase increased with increasing of the brazing current. A reaction layer at the base metal/insert metal interface was observed and this reaction layer was thickened with increasing of the brazing current. In the brazed joints with the current lower than 100A, crack was grew up along the interface which was perpendicular to the tensile stress, and then, passed through the insert metal in the final stage of fracture. As the brazing current increased to 120A, fracture occurred at the base metal.

Effects of Composition, Structure Design, and Coating Thickness of Thermal Barrier Coatings on Thermal Barrier Performance

  • The effects of composition, structure design, and coating thickness of thermal barrier coating (TBC) on thermal barrier performance were investigated by measuring the temperature differences of TBC samples. TBCs with the thin and thick top coats were used for these studies, including TBCs with rare-earth (Gd, Yb, and La) compositions. The thermal barrier performance was enhanced with increasing the thickness of top coat even for thin TBCs, indicating that the thermal barrier performance was commensurate to the thickness of top coat. On the other hand, the bi-layered TBC, which was prepared with Yb-Gd-YSZ feedstock powder, with the buffer layer of high purity 8YSZ showed a better thermal barrier performance than that of regular purity 8YSZ. The interfaces in the bi-layered TBCs had a decisive effect on the thermal barrier performance, showing the performance enhanced with increasing numbers of interfaces. However, a new structural design and an additional process should be considered to reduce stress concentrations and to ensure interface stability, respectively, for improving thermal durability in the multi-layered TBCs.

가소제 및 가교제에 의해 개질된 대두단백질의 특성 (Characteristics of Soybean Protein Resin Modified by Plasticizers and Cross-Linking Agents)

  • 식물성 고분자인 대두단백질을 기반으로 하는 환경친화성 고분자 신소재에 관한 연구를 위해 가소제(1,3-propandiol, glycerol) 및 가교제(glutaraldehyde, epichlorohydrin, glyoxal, urea)에 의한 대두단백질 수지의 열적 특성을 TGA를 이용하여 분석하였고, 기계적 특성 분석과 SEM을 통하여 파단면을 관찰하였다. 그 결과, 가소제인 1,3-propandiol과 glycerol을 SPI (대두단백질)에 첨가함으로써 수지의 유연성이 증가하였고, 1,3-propandiol에 비하여 glycerol의 가소화 효과가 상대적으로 크게 나타났으며, 가교제인 glycerol, epichlorohydrin, glyoxal의 적용으로 첨가량이 증가할수록 대두단백질 수지의 강도와 열안정성이 증가하는 반면, urea의 경우, 대두단백과의 가교가 용이하지 않아 열안정성이 오히려 낮아지고, 강도가 감소함을 알 수 있었다.
