The purpose of this study is to establish the basement of nail industries and suggest a direction for the future of the specialized nail service. besides looks at characteristics of the aged 20's to 50's, who is expected as nail shop's main customers. The results of this study are briefly summarized as follows: First, the answer wanting professional hand care was more than half (53.3%). It turned out that customers prefer basic manicure such as hand massage(43.4%) and cuticle removal(31.1%) than nail art(15.2%) and nail improvement care(10.3%) in professional nail care. The basic manicure are in remarkably high demand which are often received with nail art and nail improvement care. There were more interests in nail services and better hand health condition in the 30's group than 40's. Also significantly higher in a unmarried group than married. this results show that professional hand care is highly related to a good condition of hands and additionally life satisfaction of customers. We were convinced of the direction of inner beauty and satisfaction beyond the visible. At the same time, exploring specific methods to internally satisfy customers remains to be a challenge.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for increased understanding of detailed customer needs by age group, and also to improve customer satisfaction. The survey was conducted from August $30^{th}$ to September $15^{th}$, 2017. The poll was conducted with 302 persons aged from 20's to 50's by using convenience-sampling method and self-administration method for survey. The results were analyzed by frequencies, independent sample t-test, Pearson correlations, and through multiple regression analysis. The study results are briefly summarized as follows. First, the overall age group's interest of hand's health was robustly high. Second, in the 20s and 30s age groups hand care interest and self-hand care (r=.284, p<.01) increased with improved hand health condition. In the 40s and 50s age groups there were positive correlations between hand health condition and Information recognition(${\beta}=.246$, p<.1), Product use(${\beta}=.312$, p<.05), and Professional Hand Care(${\beta}=.354$, p<.000). This study indicates that hand care concern and management behaviors change with age. Therefore, further research and more specific follow-up are required for improvement of the awareness of healthy hands.
Objective: Despite known associations between negative body image and health declines in chronic pain patients, few studies have examined longitudinal associations between psychological stress and perceived hand deformities. This study examined whether psychological distress was associated with hand deformities 4 years later and if rural and urban adults differed in the association. Design: A community-based cohort study. Methods: Community dwelling adults (mean age=51.97, 52.3% women) in a rural (n=2968) and urban area (n=2784) provided demographic data at baseline and, in the 4-year follow-up, responded to questionnaires about psychological distress. Perceived hand deformities were assessed at the 8-year follow-up. Linear regression was conducted to examine the effects of psychological distress on hand deformities and moderation by residential areas. Results: The perceived hand deformities were more likely among those with severe psychological stress, hand osteoarthritis, or any chronic disease condition (p<0.01) but less likely among those with younger age, higher education, or income (p<0.01). The regression results showed that psychological distress predicted more perceived hand deformities 4 years later even after adjusting for demographic and health covariates (p<0.01). The residential areas did not significantly moderate the association between distress and hand deformities. Conclusions: This study suggected that psychological distress may trigger later perception of hand deformities in both urband and rural adults. The findings indicate that stress management interventions that are customizable to regional contexts may be effective at preventing negative body image related health problems of community-dewelling adults.
Purpose: This study adopted the non-equivalent control group pre-posttest design in order to examine the effects of aromatherapy and hand massage on anxiety, sleep, and depression in the female aged at residential facilities. Methods: This study was executed with the female aged at two residential facilities divided into an experimental group (n=35) and a control group (n=37). Data were collected by checking changes in the anxiety, sleep, and depression of the subjects who had received aromatherapy and hand massage ten times for two weeks. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test and ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance). Results: The condition of anxiety and depression of the experimental group who had received aromatherapy and hand massage was significantly lower than that of the control group. Also, the condition of sleep of experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: The aromatherapy and hand massage program had a positive effect on institutionalized elders' anxiety, sleep, and depression pattern.
Purpose: The first purpose of this study was to evaluate whether hand muscle fatigue alters sensorimotor control of the hand in healthy subjects, using hand position sense. The second objective was to assess the repositioning variables during a 7.5-min period after the fatigue protocol. Methods: Participants performed a repeated handgrip movement to induce the fatigue condition as fast as possible, until they could no longer continue. Recordings were performed before (pre-fatigue) and after the completion of the fatigue exercises (immediately: post-fatigue, after a 2.5 min recovery, after a 5 min recovery and after a 7.5 min recovery). Results: The joint reposition test of the MP joint in the post-fatigue condition showed higher reposition errors than the prefatigue condition (p<0.05). Additionally, there was a significant difference in recovery of joint reposition errors after fatiguing exercises of the hand muscle, among groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: The fatigue of the hand muscles affected joint position sense by an alteration of somatosensory and proprioceptive information. Nonetheless, the effect of hand muscle fatigue was short-lived, since joint reposition errors decreased to post-fatigue values after 7.5 min of recovery.
Objective: In general, macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucoma generally cause visual injury in clinical settings. This study aimed to examine the effects of low visual acuity simulations on hand manual dexterity function and brainwaves in healthy young adults. Design: Cross-sectional study design Methods: This study was an observational, cross-sectional study. Seventy healthy young adults participated in this study. To evaluate the effects of low visual acuity simulations on hand function and brain waves, this study involved four different visual conditions including (1) normal vision, (2) simulated cataracts, (3) simulated glaucoma, and (4) simulated macular degeneration. The hand function was measured to use the Minnesota manual dexterity test (MMDT), and the brainwaves was also measured to use the electroencephalography. Results: In hand function, placing and turning performance on the MMDT in the normal visual condition was significantly different than that in the cataract and macular degeneration conditions (p<0.05), and the placing performance was significantly differred in the normal condition than that in the simulated glaucoma. However, turning was not significantly different in the normal condition than that in the simulated glaucoma. The alpha, beta, and gamma waves did not significantly differ among the four visual conditions (p>0.05). Conclusions: The results suggest that limited visual information negatively affects the ability to perform tasks requiring arm-hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination. However, the effectiveness of low visual acuity on the brainwaves should be further studied for rehabilitative evidence of visual impairment.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of aroma hand massage on anxiety and sleep in cancer patients during hospitalization. Methods: This study used a pre-post non-synchronized quasi-experimental design. Data were collected from 66 participating patients from July to December 2008. The participants were divided into an aroma massage group (n=25), a hand massage group (n=15), and a control group (n=26). The experimental group received aroma hand massage using 1% diluted lavender aroma oil once per day for 3 days. The massage was given by the researcher following the Korea Aromatherapy Health Professional Association massage protocol In contrast control group A received only a hand massage. The state anxiety, sleep condition, sleep satisfaction levels, and sleep duration were measured before and after the intervention trial. Results: The aroma hand massage group experienced in a significant decrease in their state anxiety (F=7.658 p=.001). Moreover, there was a significant increase in their sleep condition (F=18.047, p=.001), sleep satisfaction (F=30.016, p=.001) and sleep duration (F=23.019, p=.001) compared to the other groups according to one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple comparison test. Also, noted was a significant increase in the sleep condition of the hand massage group as in the aroma hand massage group according to the Scheffe test. Conclusion: The study findings indicates that aroma hand massage decreases anxiety and increases the sleep condition, sleep satisfaction, and sleep duration of cancer patients.
Recently, life expectancy increased in the development of medicine, the need for health has increased. Market for medical equipment is growing rapidly to an increase in the interest in health and aging worldwide. It is a device intended for ultra sensitive cleavage process of bone during joint replacement surgery on a technical advanced surgery, finishing, and hole. Domestic demand of the hand piece is a necessary condition on an ongoing basis. However, hand piece was made on the basis of the experience of many years in the country Japan, Germany, and the United States has spread to more than 90% domestic market. Feel the need for the development of the hand piece in the country, many companies are trying to in-house production hand piece. In an attempt to solve the problems with the hand piece of the present, in this paper, it was supposed to be a study of rechargeable hand piece to replace the existing pneumatic.
Background: Several grip strength tests are commonly used for detecting sincerity of effort. However, there is still no widely accepted standardized sincerity of effort test. Therefore, this study aimed to examine whether grip strength test in three wrist positions could distinguish between maximal and submaximal efforts. Methods: Twenty healthy individuals (10 men and 10 women) with a mean age of $26.7{\pm}3.92years$ participated in this study. All participants completed two test conditions (maximal and submaximal efforts) in three wrist positions (neutral, flexion, and extension) using both hands. Each participant exerted 100% effort in the maximal effort condition and 50% effort in the submaximal effort condition. The participants performed three repetitions of the grip strength test for each session. Results: The results showed that there is a significant main effect of the type of effort (p < 0.001), wrist position (p < 0.001), and hand (p = 0.028). There were also significant types of effort and wrist position interactions (p < 0.001) and effort and hand interactions (p < 0.028). The results also showed that grip strength was highest at the wrist in neutral position in both the maximal and the submaximal effort condition. Grip strength values of the three wrist positions in the maximal effort condition were noticeably greater than those in the submaximal effort condition. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that grip strength test in three wrist positions can differentiate a maximal effort from a submaximal effort. Thus, this test could potentially be used to detect sincerity of effort in clinical setting.
The study surveyed 1,127 mothers whose children aged 3 to 5 went to 25 randomly selected kindergartens, which were located in Busan Metropolitan City and the adjacent Gimhae City, and analyzed the preventive health behaviors on their children and the condition of home health education on their children. As the compulsory kindergarten education will e to be implemented within 4 years, this study aimed to draw up the rudimentary material for health education at kindergartens. The study results are summed up as follows: 1. Mothers' awareness of health-related attitude and behavioral level for their children at kindergarten: 1) The general health condition of the children, which mothers are aware of, was that they were healthy on the whole. As their children becomes older, the income level of the parents is lower, and mothers have lower level of educational standard, the health condition of the children was found a little lower. 2) In terms of mothers' recognition of the practice level of preventive health behaviors, the items such as going to bed regularly, washing hands and feet well, and having meals regularly were high in the practice level, while exercise and tooth-brushing were not practiced well. 2. The condition of mothers' health education of their children: 1) It was found that washing hands and feet, restriction of overeating and preference for specific kinds of food, guidance on regular sleep and regular meal were practiced well among items of home health education targeting kindergarten children. 2) Mothers have obtained information on family health from printed matter such as newspaper or magazine rather than the visual media. 3) From the cross analysis of mothers' health education on children and children's health behaviors, as the standard of education of mothers was higher, so was the level of preventive health behaviors of children. 3. From the result of multi regression analysis of the factors influencing the preventive hygiene of kindergarten children, it was found that as the home health education level was higher, so was the health behavior of children. On the other hand, as the mothers were older, the health behavior of children became lower.
