  • As for marine propulsion shafting system using 4 stroke diesel engine, it is common to apply reduction gear box between diesel engine and shafting with a view of increasing mechanical efficiency, which inevitably require elastic coupling due to avoid chattering and hammering inside of gear box. In this study, optimum method of rectifying propulsion shafting system in case of 750ton fishing vessel specially in a view of torsional vibration, is theoretically studied. After exchange of diesel engine and gear box, analysis result of torsional vibration get worse and so some countermeasure are needed. The elastic coupling is modified from present block type rubber coupling showing relatively high torsional stiffness to rubber coupling with two series elements directly connected. The vibration measurement using two laser torsion meters was done during sea trial, whose results are compared to those of calculation and verified.

Pin-on-disk를 이용한 기초 마찰소음 실험 연구 (A Basic Experimental Study on the Squeak Noise Using the Pin-on-disk)

  • Squeak noise is studied by using the pin-on-disk system with aluminum pin and steel disk. Noise induced by friction is measured with respect to the normal loads and sliding speeds. The negative slope of friction-velocity curve is seen when the squeak noise occurs. It is found that the normal load influences on the sound level of squeak noise. From the hammering test, the major frequency of the squeak noise is shown to correspond to one of system modes, which implies that squeak phenomenon arises from the unstable system modes. The result of FE analysis shows that the major squeak mode is the bending mode of the pin.

  • 관로내의 유속이 급격히 변하면 압력도 크게 상승하거나 강하하게 되어 유체 과도현상을 일으키게 된다. 이러한 수격현상에 대한 연구는 펌프스테이션이 커지고 유체를 이송하는 시스템이 대형화되어 그 중요성이 더욱 증가하였다. 이것은 파이프라인이 길어지고 복잡해지기 때문이다. 이 연구에서는 특성법을 이용하여 대형펌프 시스템의 밸브 개폐로 발생하는 수격현상을 평가하였다.

Position Estimation of an Underground Acoustic Source by a Passive Sonar System

  • The aim of the work described in this paper is to develop a complex underground acoustic system which detects and locates the origin of an underground hammering sound using an array of six hydrophones located about 100m underground. Two different methods for the sound localization will be presented, a time-delay method and a power-attenuation method. In the time-delay method, the cross correlation of the signals received from the array of sensor sis used to calculate the time delays between those signals. In the power-attenuation method, the powers of the received signals provide a measure f the distances of the source from the sensors.

  • 본 논문에서는 펌프가 동시에 전원차단 되었을 때 송출밸브의 운전조건(개도, 폐쇄속도), 계통의 기하학적 형상(취수 및 배수관로의 길이, 단면적, 재질, 콘덴서의 높이등)과 해면상태(간막의 차에 의한 수위, 파도)의 변화가 계통내 수격현상에 미치 는 영향에 대하여 수치해석 하였다.

  • The aim of the work described in this paper is to develop a complex underground acoustic system which detects and localizes the origin of an underground hammering sound using an array of hydrophones located about loom underground. Three different methods for the sound localization will be presented, a time-delay method, a power-attenuation method and a hybrid method. In the time-delay method, the cross correlation of the signals received from the way of sensors is used to calculate the time delays between those signals. In the power-attenuation method, the powers of the received signals provide a measure of the distances of the source from the sensors. A new hybrid method has been developed for estimating the origin of the underground acoustic source by coupling both methods. The Nelder-Meade simplex search algorithm is then used to numerically estimate the position of the source in those methods. For each method the sound localization is carried out in three dimensions underground. The distance between the true and estimated origins of the source is in some cases less than 6m for a search area of radius 250m.

  • The forced vibration response characteristics of a cracked pipe conveying fluid with a concentrated mass are investigated in this paper. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the equation of motion is derived by using Hamilton's principle. The effects of concentrated mass and fluid velocity on the forced vibration characteristics of a cracked pipe conveying fluid are studied. The deflection response is the mid-span deflection of a cracked pipe conveying fluid. As fluid velocity and crack depth are increased, the resonance frequency of the system is decreased. This study will contribute to the decision of optimum fluid velocity and crack detection for the valve-pipe systems.

몰드변압기의 소음 원인 분석 (Analysis of Noise Source for Mold Transformer)

  • Especially, demands for the noise reduction of mold transformer has been becoming an common issue because it has been used mainly at the residence area such as building and ship. So, this paper investigates the noise source and countermeasure of mold transformer radiated high noise abnormally. The result of impact hammering test for core of transformer ascertains the core resonance by harmonics of line frequency and high noise can be reduced to avoid core resonance by changing torque strength of tie rod. Magnetic field analysis is performed to identify the reason that noise of V-phase is higher than U and W-phase in the normal condition. It is the cause that flux density and magnetic force of V-phase is higher than the other phase respectively.

  • As for the marine propulsion shafting system using 4 stroke diesel engine, it is common to apply a reduction gear box between diesel engine and shafting to increase propulsion efficiency, which requires inevitably a certain elastic coupling to avoid chattering and hammering inside of gear box. In this study, the optimum method of rectifying propulsion shafting system in case of 750 ton fishing vessel is theoretically studied in a view of dynamic characteristics of torsion. After the replacement of diesel engine and gear box, the torsional vibration get worse and so some countermeasures are needed. The elastic coupling is modified from a present rubber coupling of block type having relatively high torsional stiffness to a rubber coupling haying two serially connected elements. Torsional vibration damper was installed at crankshaft free end additionally and moment of inertia of flywheel was adjusted. The dynamic characteristics of shafting system was improved by these modification. The theoretical analysis of torsional vibration are compared to measurement results using two laser torsion meters during the sea trial.

경량 스테인리스 강관용 이음쇠의 성능평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Evaluation of Fitting for Light-gauge Stainless Steel Pipe)

  • 최근 건축환경의 소화설비에는 배관의 경량화, 내진화, 무용접화를 요구한다. 이러한 요구사항을 만족할 수 있는 경량 스테인리스 강관 및 그 이음쇠는 이미 독일, 네덜란드, 대만, 호주, 미국, 일본 등에서 소화설비용으로 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 그 이음쇠가 소화설비의 배관으로 사용될 수 있는지를 판단하고자 성능평가를 수행하였다. 성능평가로서 진동시험, 수격시험, 굽힘시험, 화재시험 등을 수행하였다. 시험결과 소화설비에 사용할 수 있다고 판단되었고 그 수명은 건축물의 수명 이상 사용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
