궁궐(宮闕) 정전(正殿)에서 기둥과 공포의 구조적(構造的) 비례특성(比例特性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A study on the Characteristics of Structural Proportion of Pillar and 'Kong-po' in 'Main Hall of Royal Palace(正殿)' of the Royal Palace)

  • 4 royal palaces are currently remained from capital city (Seoul) of 'Cho-Sun(朝鮮)' period. In these palaces, 'Main hall of Royal Palace(正殿)' is the center of the Royal Palaces. The 'Main hall of Royal Palace' of the Royal Palace was the best building of that time. Therefore there were many studies about the 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. But these studies were individual studies of these 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. Therefore, this study is to analyze and compare 4 'Main hall of Royal Palace' of the Royal palaces. It is to study the proportion regarding the Diameter of the pillar, the Height, the pillar and pillar Interval's Distance, and the arrangement of 'Kong-Po(bracket sets)'. With these studies, it is to prove that the 'Main hall of Royal Palace' is the building which high construction technique of this time is expressed. Result of this study is as followings; First, the proportion of pillar height(H) to its diameter(D) average from H=8.0 to 8.5D. Only the Myeong-Jeong-Jeon omitted the 'Go-Ju(高柱)' in the 'Toi-Kan (退間)' to place Ea-Jwa(御座). Second, Second, the proportion of diameter of the pillar of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju(外部平柱)' and 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju(內陣高柱)' average D1(Diameter of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju') =0.91D2 (Diameter of 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju'). In regards to the height, the single floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' and double floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' seems to be different. The height proportion of the double floor 'Main hall of royal palace' is H1(Height of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju')=0.34H2(Height of 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju') and single floor 'Main hall of Royal Palace' has a proportion of H1=0.62H2. Third, in Geun-Jeong-Jeon, with the proportion of height and diameter of the pillar, interval's distance between pillars and diameter, the pillar interval distance and height, of 'Ea-kan(御間)' from the 'Toi-Kan' is different from 'Main hall of Royal Palace'. This is because the structure of 'Toi-Kan' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon is not stable. In order to reinforce this, 'Gui-Go-Ju(隅高柱)' of the Geun-Jeong-Jeon jut out $4{\sim}7%$ more compared to In-Jeong-Jeon. Fourth, when comparing double floor 'Main hall of royal palace' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon and In-Jeong-Jeon, based on distance of 'Eoi-Bu-Pyeong-Ju' and 'Nae-Jin-Go-Ju' of lower level, the 'Sang-Bu-Pyeong-Ju(上部平柱)' of Geun-Jeong-Jeon jut out $4{\sim}7%$ more compared to the In-Jeong-Jeon and also It becomes thicker. Fifth, the arrangement of 'Kong-Po' on the front row of 'Gan(間)' had to do with the change of side 'Gan'. Even though the Geun-Jeong-Jeon and the In-Jeong-Jeon were double floors, the arrangement of the 'Kong-Po' is different because the number of side bay is different.

헤이그 시청사에 나타난 건축적 공공성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Publicness in Hague City hall)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the architectural publicness of Hague city hall by Richard Meier. The Hague city hall shows the systematic and comprehensive configuration of architectural publicness. Meier applied publicness to the city hall from concept and the configuration of space to object design. Architectural publicness of Hague city hall can be realized by providing large public space including atrium, programs about public events, linear space for street activities and the lower location of public facilities in the city hall without the limitation of weather, lime and size of space. Architectural publicness can obtain its real meaning when physical conditions meet the standard of public activities. Besides this, the Hague city hall case shows the desirable role model of city administrator and NGOs in that public events are organized by the independent body. The publicness of architecture is influenced by various factors including physical and political systems. The case study of the architectural publicness is very important in that it is very hard to generalize. In these basis, the study for architectural publicness can be complemented by concrete and positive case studies as well as existing humane and general studies.

버밍엄 문화연구에 대한 재고찰과 '비재현적 문화연구'의 필요성 -스튜어트 홀과 주요 연구자들의 사유와 방법론을 중심으로 (Re-reading Birmingham Cultural Studies for 'Non-representational Cultural Studies' in South Korea -with Stuart Hall's Philosophy and Methodology)

  • 이 글은 '비재현적 문화연구'에 대한 소개와 필요성, 시급함에 대하여 버밍엄 문화연구의 재고찰을 통하여 이야기한다. 더불어 어떻게 비재현적 문화연구라는 지적 기획이 추상적 구분과 재현적 담론이 주도했던 그 동안의 주된 문화연구적 사고와 방법론에서 빈번히 배제되었던 세계의 양식들에 강조점을 두어 이를 읽어 내는지 살펴본다. 대표적으로 스튜어트 홀의 주요 저작과 후기 생애에 대한 실천적 모습을 통해 비교적 익숙한 모습의 버밍엄 문화연구 한계를 극복하면서 궁극적으로 문화연구, 특히 한국의 문화연구를 현재 시점에서 다시 한 번 생각해 보고자 했다. 이 글에선 주로 후기 스튜어트 홀의 사유와 현실에 밀착된 방법론의 관계성 그리고 그 방향성을 주목하여 살펴보았다. 사실 한국 문화연구는 버밍엄 문화연구와 특별히 연구 방향성과 주제의 부분에서 거의 같은 것으로 여겨져 왔고, 우리 비판언론학계에서 이러한 이른바 '전통적 영국 문화연구'의 영향력은 여전히 매우 강력하지만, 오히려 어떤 면에서 이는 매우 한국적이며 특수한 현상일 뿐이다. 그 점을 스튜어트 홀의 대표 저작들에 대한 재독해와 이에 기반을 두어 후기 삶의 실천적 자취를 따라가 보면서 조금이나마 발견해 보고자 했다.

심곡서원 조영의 변화에 대한 고찰 (Research for Changing of Simgok Seowon's Arrangement)

  • Simgok Seowon is the commemorative shrine and academy established for scholar Jo Gwangjo (pen name : Jeongam). The shrine (sangnyangsik) and the east and west dormitories (Dongjae and Seojae) were built in 1636. The lecture hall, Imsimnu Pavilion, Sananggak and Munhyanggak buildings were built successively. Simgok Seowon is the only one that survived through the abolishment of seowon ordered by Regent Heungseon in the 19th century. The original seowon was renowned as a representative example showing the typical lecture hall in front and dormitory at the back (jeondanghujae) layout of the Giho School built in 1650. Two archaeological excavations were conducted in the lecture hall courtyard in 2004 and 2007~2008, which prompted debates the position of the dormitories in respect to the lecture hall, whether the dormitories should be placed in front, or at the back of the lecture hall. Simgok Seowon had been long known as a representative example of the lecture hall in front layout, but the excavations revealed contrasting evidence, suggesting the possibility for a dormitories in front layout. Recent studies and evidence show that the architecture of Simgok Seowon can be grouped into three phases. The first phase was when the shrine and both dormitories were built to the rear of the lecture hall, the second phase was when the lecture hall, Imsimnu Pavilion, Sananggak and Munhyanggak buildings were built, and lastly the third phase when the east, west dormitories were reconstructed in front of the lecture hall. The large scale construction of Simgok Seowon is related to the education based management of the academy by Doam Yi Jae, and the 17~18th century remains confirmed from the archaeological excavations are evidence of this. Remains for Imsimnu Pavilion, Sananggak, and Munhyanggak buildings have yet to be confirmed, and spaces to the south and east of the seowon are unidentified. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct investigations and research for the unexcavated spaces of the seowon, to conduct in-depth studies and for the effective adaptive re-use of the seowon.

몬티홀 딜레마에 대한 학생들의 이해와 수업적용 (Students' Understanding and Application of Monty Hall Dilemma in Classroom)

  • Although Monty Hall dilemma is used in many areas including philosophy, economics, and psychology, it is used in the current mathematics textbooks only as a material for reading or one of probability questions. The present study tries to explore students' understanding of Monty Hall dilemma through a class case. In this study, a group of high-school students participated in group activities, in which they read an argument about Monty Hall dilemma, and tried to resolve it through small-group and whole-class discussions, and then studied the conditional probability. The analysis supports the studies in psychology that intuitive understandings on probability do not change easily, and that counter-intuitivity in Monty Hall dilemma induces confusion and offers a basis for discussions among students. Similar results are anticipated when other dilemmas on probability are used.

디지털 홀 센서를 이용한 비접촉 임펠러 식별에 대한 연구 (A Study on Contactless Identification of Impellers Using a Digital Hall Sensor)

  • An impeller identification technique that is essential for adding viscosity measurement functions to overhead stirrers is presented in this study. Previous studies have revealed that using magnets facing the same poles arranged in a row can aid in distinguishing the types of impellers by detecting the number of magnets in a non-contact manner. However, as these previous studies measured the magnetic fields using analog Hall sensors, a converting circuit for the digital signals is required that can interface with the MCU. In this study, it was demonstrated that the number of magnets can be distinguished without using a separate conversion circuit by using a Hall sensor with a digital output. Owing to the unique hysteresis characteristics of digital Hall sensors, it was confirmed through experiments that the complex and diverse outputs appear depending on the direction of the magnetic field, the arrangement of magnetic poles, and the moving direction of the magnet. The measurement of the magnetic field showed that an edge signal equal to the number of magnets inserted into the impeller was detected when the radial direction was used, and the south pole was first approached.

황룡사 중건가람배치 연구 (A Study on the Layout of the 2nd construction in Hwangnyongsa Buddhist Temple Site)

  • This paper aimed to identify the variation of layout in Hwangnyoungsa buddhist temple site based on studying published the excavation research paper and texts related to layout. According to earlier studies, in 1st construction period(553~569) of Hwangnyoungsa, there were trisection spaces with one main hall and two corridors in inner part and then in 2nd period(584~645), unified one. But actually trisection spaces had been maintained until the middle part of 8th century. And in each space there was the main hall with large yard. That is the 2nd period layout of Hwangnyoungsa. For the attainment this result, each building remains are judged under duplicated situation which one was the previous and next by consideration of the construction condition and special features of foundation. Although the meaning of trisection system of Hwangnyoungsa is similar with the layout of ancient palace, it could be said to derive from accumulation excavation research in Silla's archeological site and such studies.

Hall voltage measurement with respect to internal layout of REBCO coated conductors in an external magnetic field

  • Recently, many studies have been reported on the magnetoresistance and Hall effect of REBCO thin films and bulk. The voltage interferes quench detection of high-temperature superconducting magnet and generates leakage current in no insulation high-temperature superconducting coil. Therefore, in this paper, experiments on magnetoresistance and Hall effect of commercial YBCO and GdBCO tapes have been carried out. As a result, anomalous voltages expected for the magnetoresistance and Hall effect of REBCO tapes were observed and analyzed. In addition, the voltage characteristics of REBCO have been identified, and the Hall coefficient are calculated for use in high magnetic field magnet applications.

  • Graphene shows unusual electronic properties, such as carrier mobility as high as 10,000 $cm^2$/Vs at room temperature and quantum electronic transport, due to its electronic structure. Carrier mobility of graphene is ten times higher than that of Silicon device. On the one hand, quantum mechanical studies have continued on graphene. One of them is quantum Hall effect which is observed in graphene when high magnetic field is applied under low temperature. This is why two dimension electron gases can be formed on Graphene surface. Moreover, quantum Hall effect can be observed in room temperature under high magnetic field and shows fractional quantization values. Quantum Hall effect is important because quantized Hall resistances always have fundamental value of h/$e^2$ ~ 25,812 Ohm and it can confirm the quantum mechanical behaviors. The value of the quantized Hall resistance is extremely stable and reproducible. Therefore, it can be used for SI unit. We study to measure quantum Hall effect in CVD graphene. Graphene devices are made by using conventional E-beam lithography and RIE. We measure quantum Hall effect under high magnetic field at low temperature by using He4 gas closed loop cryostat.

모터의 성능향상을 위한 마그네틱 센서의 3차원 전자장 해석 (3D Electromagnetic Analysis of Magnetic Sensor for Improvement of Motor)

  • 본 논문에서는 전동기의 속도 센서로 사용되는 마그네틱 센서의 3차원 전자장 해석 기술 및 분석 방법에 대하여 논하였다. 마그네틱 센서는 레졸버 및 엔코더와 같은 속도센서에 비해 가격이 싸고 활용성이 높은 장점이 있는 반면, 정밀도가 낮으며 외부 자기장에 대하여 간섭을 많이 받는 단점이 존재한다. 마그네틱 센서는 전동기가 회전할 때 사인과 코사인 파형이 발생된다. 그러나 홀 소자 근처에서의 자기적 노이즈로 인하여 사인 및 코사인 신호가 왜곡이 발생하여 각도 오차로 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 마그네틱 센서의 홀 소자의 적절한 위치 선정과 주위에 적절한 요크를 다꾸찌 방법에 의해 최적 설계를 수행하여 이러한 왜곡을 방지하고자 하였다. 해석방법으로는 3차원 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석의 정밀도를 높였다.
