어린아이 머리털의 구조 변화 및 물리화학적 미용기법이 어른 머리털에 미치는 영향 (Structural Development of Scalp Hair in Children and Effects of Cosmetologic Physico-Chemical Treatments on Adult Scalp Hair)

  • 머리털에 관한 사회적 관심의 증대에 따라 미용처치가 머리털에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 나이에 따라 머리털이 성인과 유사해지는 시기를 확인하고자 0, 3, 6, 12, 24 개월된 어린아이 머리카락을 주사전자현미경으로 살펴본 결과 생후 24개월에 성인의 머리털과 유사한 구조를 가지고 있었다. 미용처치에 의한 물리화학적 영향을 알아보고자 성인의 드라이한 머리카락, 코팅한 머리카락, 염색한 머리카락 및 파마한 머리카락을 각각 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과, 코팅을 제외한 나머지 처치군에서 손상된 머리털을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과는 통상적인 미용처치에 사용되는 물리화학적 영향에 의해서도 머리털이 손상될 가능성이 있어 미용처치 시 주의를 할 필요가 있음을 의미하는 것으로 앞으로 이에 대한 자세한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

The Oxidative Stress by Hair Dyeing Changes the Antioxidant Defense Systems and Strongly Relates to the Plasma Vitamin E Concentration

  • Reactive oxygen species can be generated in the skin by hair dyeing. The aim of this study was to find out the effects of the oxidative-type hair dye application in young women on the antioxidant systems. We investigated the lipid peroxide levels, glutathione (GSH) levels, and the antioxidant enzyme activities including superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSHPx) in plasma and erythrocytes and catalase (CAT) in erythrocytes, and DNA damages in lymphocytes. Also, plasma concentrations of antioxidant vitamins, vitamin A and E, were measured and the correlations between various antioxidant parameters and oxidative damages were evaluated The antioxidant enzyme activities in plasma (GSHPx) and in erythrocytes (SOD and CAT) were decreased significantly after hair dyeing. 1be lipid peroxide and GSH levels were not affected in both plasma and erythrocytes. No significant difference was found in the concentrations of both vitamin A and E between before and after hair dyeing. However, DNA damages expressed as the tail extent moment (TEM) and tail length (TL) were significantly (p<0.001) increased. The plasma vitamin E concentration was correlated with DNA damages (TEM: r=-0.590, p<0.01 and TL: r=-0.533. p<0.01) and RBC SOD activity (r=0.570, p<0.05). In turn, RBC SOD activity was significantly correlated with both plasma MDA levels (r=-0.412, p<0.05) and DNA damages (TM: r=-0.546, p<0.01, TL: r=-0.493, p<0.01). Our results demonstrated that the exposure to hair dyeing produced lymphocyte DNA damage and modification of the antioxidant enzyme activities. Also, there were very strong associations between plasma vitamin E concentration, RBC SOD activity and DNA damage induced by hair dyeing. It suggests that the antioxidant status of a subject is likely to be related to the extent of the harmful effects caused by hair dyeing.

칡뿌리 추출물을 이용한 천연 모발염색 (The Natural Hair Dyeing using Extracts of the Pueraria thunbergiana Root)

  • 최근 합성 염모제의 부작용들 때문에 인체에 무해한 천연재료를 이용한 염색에 대한 관심이 고조되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 농산 폐기물인 칡뿌리 추출물을 이용해 탈색 모발에 천연 염색을 함으로써 염색에 적절한 염색 시간, 염색시 온도와 매염과 매염제 처리 농도 변화 등에 따른 모발의 염색 정도를 색차계를 통해 조사하였다. 합성 염모제가 가진 화학 물질로 인한 모발 손상에 비해 칡뿌리 추출물을 이용한 모발 염색은 손상도를 낮춰주고 큐티클을 부드럽게 유지시키는 결과를 가져왔다. 칡 추출물만으로 염색한 모발이 가장 어두워짐을 관찰함으로써, 매염제는 염색의 보조 역할을 하는 성분임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 칡뿌리 추출물은 합성 염모제에 비해 모발 손상도가 적으며 칡뿌리 추출물을 천연 모발 염모제의 주원료로써 활용가치가 있음을 제안하는 바이다.

코팅프로세스를 사용한 5,6-디하이드록시인돌의 산화 및 광에 대한 안정화 연구 (Study of Stabilizing 5,6-dihydroxyindole with Coating Process Against Oxidation and Light)

  • 5,6-dihydroxyindole was easily oxidation with air and light Conditions. Availability of 5,6-dihydroxyindole was studied for hair dye as a precursor of melanin. This study used wet and dry coating process to stabilize 5,6-dihydroxyindole. In wet process used dimethicone and cyclometicone, the 5,6-dihydroxyindole had darkened through the drying process at $58^{\circ}C$. Wet coating process was inappropriate to stabilize the coating. In dry coating process, shea butter coating was stable until 3 days. Dextrin palmitate was most efficient ingredient to prevent oxidation by sun light and air until 7days. Oxidation test with 1.0% and 1.5% of dextrin palmitate was not different under conditions of sun light and air and was not dependent on contents. Vitamin E acetate under conditions of sun light and air, there were no significant effect in preventing oxidation.

산성 아미노산 후처리가 헤어컬러링 시 모발에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Post-treatment Using Acidic Amino Acids during Hair Coloring on Hair Condition)

  • 현대인들은 헤어컬러링을 통하여 아름다움을 표출하는데 반복적인 화학적 시술에 의하여 모발은 손상을 받는다. 염색의 지속력을 높이고 모발 손상을 최소화하기 위해 본 연구에서는 헤어컬러링 시 산성 아미노산인 아스파트산(Asp)과 글루탐산(Glu)으로 모발을 후처리하였다. 탈색모에 체리레드와 블루실버 색상으로 염색하고 0.75%의 Asp와 Glu 용액을 실온에서 20분간 후처리를 한 후 1회, 5회, 10회, 15회, 20회, 25회 샴푸 후 L*a*b*값을 측정하여 염색 지속력을 확인하였고, 모발의 상태를 알아보기 위하여 모발의 인장강도, 기공도, 표면 특성의 변화를 분석하였다. 체리레드와 블루실버 염색을 진행한 경우 모두 Asp와 Glu 실험군이 대조군 보다 높은 색 지속력을 보였고 Asp와 Glu 실험군은 대조군보다 높은 인장강도, 낮은 기공도, 매끄러운 표면특성을 나타냈다. 특히 Asp 실험군이 Glu 실험군 보다는 우수한 색 지속력과 낮은 모발 손상도를 나타냈다. 따라서 본 연구가 현장에서 탈색과 염색 시 손상된 모발의 후 처리제로 Asp와 Glu을 조합한 모발 화장품 개발의 기초자료가 되기를 기대해 본다.

아프리칸 매리골드(Tagetes erecta L.) 꽃 추출물(抽出物)로 염색(染色)한 모발(毛髮)과 양모섬유 염색(羊毛纖維 染色)에서 후매염(後媒染)에 의해서 흡착(吸着)된 금속(金屬)이온 농도(濃度)가 색상(色相)과 견뢰도(堅牢度)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Absorbed Metal Ion Concentration by After-treated Mordanting on the Color and Fastness in Human Hair and Wool Fiber Dyed with African Marigold Petals Extract)

  • In the previous study, african marigold petals extract was valued as an excellent natural yellow dye because of its distinguished reactivity with various mordants and color fastness. In this study, we were studied on effect of absorbed metal ion by after-treatment of mordants on the color and fastness in human hair and wool fiber dyed with african marigold petals extract because the proteinic and cellulosic fiber were very well dyed. The dyed human hair showed better dyeing ability in the color fastness than wool fiber on tests of light, wash and perspiration. The absorbed metal ion concentration of mordanted human hairs were 1 or 5 times higher than wool fibers. However, excess of absorbed metal ion haven't consistent effect on K/S and surface color. Human hairs dyed using african marigold extract and mordanted with Al, Sn, Cu and Fe were showed various reddish yellow color groups and good dyeing ability on african marigold extract.

프로테아제 처리가 모발의 염색성 및 형태적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Protease on the Morphological Properties and Dyeability of Human Hair)

  • The tannin acid and the enzymes have been used in order to improve the ruggedness in laundry and the absorption of dyes and pigments in the textile industry for several years. The enzyme processing on the protein fiber minimizes the damage of the entire fiber and improves the dyeability by effectively modifying only the hydrophobic surface. This study tried out the structural observation by applying the Castanea crenata sieb. et. zucc. containing abundant tannin to the hair dyeing as the natural dyeing pigment along with Protease of Rhizopus sp. The dyeability was improved as compared to the dyeing using only the synthetic tanning and iron mordant. When the depth of pigment was higher in accordance with the surface observation, the enzyme dissolution had impact on dyeing and so the keratin layer on the hair surface. Accordingly, it was found that the appropriate depth was between 0.01 and 0.03%. It was estimated that 0.1% protease would treated within 30min. Consequently, it would cause the good reaction with the functional group of tannin pigment.

톳 추출액을 이용한 친환경 항균성 모발 염색 (Ecofriendly Antimicrobial Hair Coloration Using Sargassum fusiforme Extract)

  • To overcome the harmful effects caused by conventional oxidative hair dyes, natural colorants becomes more popular in the hair dyeing. By extracting Sagassum fusiforme powders with aqueous alkaline solution as a solvent at 130℃ for 60 minutes, a fucoxanthin concentration of up to 216㎍/ml can be obtained. UV/Vis analysis was used to prove the presence of fucoxanthin in the extract powder. A K/S value of 23.8 can be obtained when wool fabrics were dyed with the extract at 120℃ for 60 minutes under pH 2. The color fastness properties of the dyed wool fabrics were very good as indicated by rating 4 for laundering(color change), rating 3 or higher for rubbing, and rating 5 for light irradiation. The dyed wool fabric was found to have antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the Sagassum fusiforme extract can be an effective functional hair colorant. Hair dyeing with the extract formulation at 45℃ for 40 minutes under pH 5 accomplished a K/S value of 8.9. The color fastness of the dyed hair showed rating 3 against light irradiation, which increased to rating 5 with after-mordanting of tannin acid.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the street fashion, which is influenced by the youth culture in 1960s. Youth culture is the youth subculture which appeared multiform in the 1960s. It tried to create a new culture by subverting the ruling class culture with their combative life style and peculiar appearance which are distinguished from mother culture. Youth cultures as youth subculture are symbolically expressed in their style which had strong characteristics of sub-fashion and anti-fashion, and which are different from mother fashion in shape. Therefore youth subculture fashion had an effect on street fashion in the 60s. The influence that the youth culture fashion had had on the street fashion is summarized as follows: Beats fashion was intelligency look on black dress, black polo-neck shirts, black trousers, black glasses and heavy black eyeliner. Mods fashion was neat style on Edwardian suit with narrow trousers, pointer-toeshoes and smooth croped hair. Folkis fashion was ethnic look, middle east asian look, peasant look, Indian style, south america look, gypsy style, natural materials, natural dying, tie-dye, beads and hand made ornaments. Rockers fashion was violence appearance categorized 'blue collar' on black leather jacket decorated with metal studs and hand-painted insignia, blue jeans and boots for motor bike. Swinging London & the Psychedelics fashion was blend mods look with pschedelic color and motive pattern. Hippie fashion was intermix pschedelic and natural or ethnic style. It was appear to be a meaningless, unpredictable assortment of diverse items and style. Faded and tattered jeans, army jackets, vintage hat, beads, embroidered headband, white sheets, diverse theatrical costumes, sandals or bare feet, granny dress, peasant blouse, blanket cape, tie-dye T-shirts and long hair. Greasers fashion was adorned black leather jacket with chains, fringing, badges, insignia and sleeves had been crudely ripped off. They came to be known wore jeans so soaked with oil. Skinheads fashion was aggressive working class identity with donkey jacket, jeans rolled up, collarless union shirts, heavy boots, braces and hair cropped short.

국내 화장품 분류와 HS코드와의 맵핑(Mapping)을 통한 2004년 시장분석 (Analysis of Korean Cosmetic Market through Mapping the HS Code to Category of Legal System in 2004)

  • 우리나라의 화장품법상 유형분류를 기준으로 수출입 통계에서 사용되는 HS 코드를 맵핑하여 통합분류를 통한 2004년 국내 시장분석을 실시하였다. 내수 규모(생산액 - 수출액 + 수입액)는 3,272 십억원으로서 2003년 대비 5.6% 감소하였다. 국내 화장품 생산실적은 2003년 대비 0.6% 감소되었고 수입은 4.4% 감소하였으나 수출은 55.7% 증가하였다. 수출품목 중 면도용과 두발용 화장품이 높은 증가율을 보였다. 내수실적은 방향용, 염모용, 메이크업용 등의 감소가 두드러졌으며 어린이용, 매니큐어용 두 품목만이 증가하였다. 수입제품 점유율(=수입액/내수액)은 17.8%로서 2003의 18.0%에 이어 정체되고 있는 경향이다. 유형별로는 방향용(79.6%), 염모용(27.6%) 및 목욕용(26.6%)의 점유율이 높았다.
