위암 발생의 식이 및 관련요인에 대한 환자군-대조군 연구 (A Case -Control Study on Dietary and Other Factors Related to Stomach Cancer Incidence)

  • As stomach cancer is very prevalent in Koreans, various factors, especially dietary factors, related to stomach cancer incidence were examined in a case-control study. The study population consisted of 105 individual s diagnosed for stomach cancer in two general hospitals and 124 control subjects, matched for age and sex, in Seoul. Data for general characteristics, family history, smoking and alcohol consumption, personality , dietary habits and food preference were obtained by self-administered questionnaire and personal interview. Heredity was found to be one of the most important factors causing stomach cancer. In addition, genetic inheritance tended to differ between the sexes. The male patients showed significantly higher incidence of their father's relatives than mother's relatives but the female patients showed higher incidence of their mother's relatives that father's relatives. Smoking was significantly related to stomach cancer. It was also found that the cases drank alcohol more frequently and in much greater quantity than the controls. Personality was related to the incidence of stomach cancer. The cases tended to be more sensitive , impatient, and anxious to do things quickly. With regards to dietary habits, the male cases had meals significantly more irregularly than the male controls. The relative risk of preferencefor salty food and ramen showed to be significantly very high. The male cases consumed carbonated beverages and instant foods, low intake of green yellow vegetables, smoking of cigarettes and drinking of alcohol may contribute to the risk of stomach cancer.

충청일부지역 중학생의 음주실태, 음주행동과 식습관 (Drinking Status and Dietary habits of Middle School Students in Chungcheong Area)

  • There are many concerns about the use and abuse of both licit and illicit substances among adolescents. This study was performed to understand the drinking status and drinking behaviur of middle school students. Self reports on drinking behaviur, dietary habits and one-day dietary records were obtained from 213 boys and 202 girls using anonymous questionnaires. One hundred and forty five of 415 students(34.9%) have experienced drinking and 48.3% of them initiated it at primary school. The motivation for first drinking was different between boys and girls; ' after sacrificial rite' for boys, ' curiosity' for girls. The most plausible reasons for drinking were ' boredom' and ' stress reduction' , and they felt the strongest desire to drink when they felt ' anger or frustration' Drinking behavior was not significantly different between male and female student except in the motivation for first drinking. But interestingly, the girls drank with friends mostly, while the boys drank with their parents. Drinking-experienced students showed significantly high rates of skipping meals and in particular skipping breakfast. DVS was found as $14.71\pm{4.51}$ and $13.95\pm{4.69}$ in non-drinking and drinking, respectively. This study showed that the drinking experience of middle school students were initiated earlier in primary school, and that drinking behavior of female students was not different with that of male student.

편식개선을 위한 초등학생 영양교육 교재 개발 및 교육 효과 - 초등학교 2, 3학년 중심으로 - (Development and Educational Effect of Nutrition Education Workbook for Improvement of Child Picky Eaters - Focused on 2nd and 3rd Graders -)

  • This study was conducted to develop a nutrition education workbook to improve picky eating in children and to evaluate the effect of nutrition education using this developed workbook. The developed workbook focused on 2nd and 3rd grade students and consisted of five units. The contents included: multi-grain, vegetables (2 units), fish, and milk. The activities, including observation, and learning the roles and names of the foods, were developed mainly to increase motivation for eating a balanced diet. This workbook was developed from April to December 2008, and was applied at 15 elementary schools containing 1,674 students from April to September 2009 in Changwon City, Korea. We evaluated changes in knowledge before and after education on nutrition, eating behavior, dietary habits, and educational activities using self-administered questionnaires. The children demonstrated significant improvements in nutritional knowledge (P<0.001), eating behavior (P<0.001), and dietary habits (P<0.001). Most of the children answered that the education program was helpful and exciting. Based on these results, we believe that the developed workbook is suitable for children picky eaters, and hope it will be used in the field of child nutrition education.

홍천강 상류에 서식하는 금강모치, Rhynchocypris kumgangensis (Cyprinidae)의 식성 (Feeding Habit of Rhynchocypris kumgangensis (Cyprinidae) from the Hongcheon River, Korea)

  • 강원도 홍천군 서석면 생곡리에서 2002년 4월부터 2003년 3월까지 하천의 상류수역에 서식하는 한국 특산종인 R. kumgangensis의 식성에 대하여 조사하였다. R. kumgangensis는 주로 Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Terrestrial insects와 Trichoptera를 섭식하는 식충성 어류로 밝혀졌다. 주요한 먹이생물은 깔다구류(Chironomus sp.)였다. 크기가 작은 개체군에서는 Diptera와 같은 작은 크기의 먹이를 섭식하고, 성장함에 따라 Ephemeroptera와 Terrestrial insects같은 크기가 큰 먹이로의 먹이 전환이 일어난다. 또한 계절의 변화에 따라 먹이항목의 상대적 비율이 변화한다.

수용자특성에 따른 인터넷 개인방송 이용동기 분석 (A Study on the Motivation of Live Video Streaming by Adopter Characteristics)

  • 본 연구는 인터넷 개인방송의 이용동기와 수용자특성(초기수용자, 후기수용자)에 따른 만족도의 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 아프리카TV(AfreecaTV)를 이용하는 10~30대 283명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 분석결과 사용자의 하루 평균 사용시간은 이용 동기에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 수용자특성에 따른 인구통계학적 특성차이에서는 학력에서만 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 만족도는 초기수용자의 경우 여가습관, 커뮤니케이션, 오락성, 접근성이 후기수용자는 접근성, 신뢰성, 여가습관, 최신성이 유의미한 요인으로 나타났다.

학령후기 아동의 자기효능감과 건강증진행위와의 관련요인 연구 (A Study on the Factors Related to Self-Efficacy and Health Promotion Behavior of the Late School-Aged Children)

  • To study the factors related to self-efficacy and health promotion behavior of the late school-aged children, the questionnaire survey was conducted on 285 students from elementary schools in Daegu metropolitan city from September 3 to september 14, 2012. Correlation analysis showed that there was significantly normal correlation between self-efficacy and health promotion behavior of elementary school students and in correlation according to each sub-area, exercise area showed the highest correlation, followed by stress area, self-realization area, personal relations area, eating habits area, and responsibility for health area. It is considered that the level of health promotion behavior in the areas of low stress management and responsibility for health found in the results of the study will be able to be higher if schools and homes prepare so as to enhance the students' belief in health promotion behavior with mental stability by developing the programs for the improvement of eating habits in the group with low self-efficacy and especially, recognizing the necessity of stress management.

국민건강영양조사 제 5기(2010-2012)를 활용한 한국의 19세 이상 성인의 식습관에 따른 정신건강상태 (Eating habits in accordance with the Mental Health status : The 5th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2010-2012)

  • 본 연구는 한국 성인의 식습관과 정신건강과의 관련성을 규명함으로써 올바른 식습관 형성의 중요성을 알리고 한국인의 정신건강증진을 위해 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상자는 국민건강영양조사 5기(2010-2012)에 참여한 19세 이상 성인 15,848명(남자 6,348명, 여자 9,500명)을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석에서 일반적은 특성은 기술분석을 활용하였으며, 식사와 정신건강과의 관련성은 카이제곱검정을 실시하였다. 그리고 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석과 선형경향성을 사용하여 식습관과 정신건강과의 관련성을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 남성은 식사횟수가 증가할수록 스트레스와 자살생각이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 그리고 여성은 식사횟수가 증가할수록 스트레스, 우울, 자살생각이 모두 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 특히, 여성은 1식에 비해 2식을 할 경우 스트레스가 0.667배 감소하였다. 그리고 1식에 비해 3식을 할 경우 스트레스는 0.522배, 우울 0.605배, 자살생각 0.508배 감소함을 규명하여 식사횟수가 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 규칙적인 식습관이 정신건강에 영향을 줄 수 있기 때문에 올바른 식습관과 그로 인한 균형 잡힌 영양소 섭취가 정신건강에 중요함을 알리는 교육과 사회적 관심이 필요하다.

아동학, 유아교육 전공 대학생의 읽기 실태에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey of Reading Behavior among College Students Majoring in Child Development or Early Childhood Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the reading habits, reading patterns and reading motivation of 362 college students from the capital area majoring in child development or early childhood education. The main findings of this study were as follows. Firstly, 70 percent of students spent less than three hours a week on reading academic or school-related material, and 75 percent spent less than three hours a week on independent or recreational reading. Students most preferred reading the "cultural" genre and least preferred reading the "human life(spiritual)" genre. The "cultural" and the "human life(spiritual)" genres also represented the most and least frequently read genres, respectively. Secondly, students presented high-level reading patterns, in that they previewed the reading material before reading, understood the meaning of it during reading, and shared their reading experience with others after reading. Thirdly, the average reading motivation levels scored near the midpoint on a five-point scale. Fourthly, students with higher reading motivation levels displayed higher reading frequencies and preference levels for each genre, with the exception of the "fiction and humor" genre. Moreover, students with higher levels of reading motivation received higher ratings for their reading patterns.

건강계약을 적용한 항산화 증진프로그램이 여대생의 식습관, 건강행위, 항산화지표 및 신체조성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Antioxidant Improvement Program with Health Contract on Antioxidant Indicators and Body Composition in Female College Students)

  • Purpose: This study targeted female university students in their 20s and created an antioxidant improvement program with a health contract, one of the behavioral modification therapies, based on King's (1981) 'goal attainment theory.' The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of physiological indicators, eating habits, dietary attitudes, and health behaviors by conducting a walking exercise and anti-oxidation diet program with reinforcement therapy. Methods: This study had a nonequivalent control group pretestposttest design. There were a total of 50 participants, with 25 participants in the experimental group and 25 participants in the control group and the study period was 10 weeks. The antioxidant improvement program consisted of walking and antioxidant diet education with health contracts. Data analysis was statistically processed using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Results: The program showed a high achievement rate by providing continuous motivation and positive reinforcement during the program, and it affected the eating habits, dietary attitudes, and health behavior. Besides, physiological variables, such as antioxidant indices and body composition showed positive changes. Conclusion: This study, based on the goal attainment theory, confirmed that antioxidant improvement program is an effective nursing intervention for continuous health promotion through interaction and exchange between healthy participants and researchers.

조부모-손자녀가족 아동의 학교생활적응 (School Adjustment of Children Raised by Grandparents)

  • Although increasing number of children are being raised by grandparents these days, little research exists on the development of the children in this arrangement. This study aimed at examining school adjustment of the children raised by grandparents, by comparing academic achievement and general classroom and school behaviors of the children in grandparent families with those of their peers from other types of families such as two-parents, single parent, kinship and institution care, and single parent with grandparent(s). Three hundred and twenty four 2nd graders md two hundred ninety eight 5th graders were surveyed for this study. It was found that children raised solely by grandparents did quite well, relative to children in traditional families where two parents were present. Children from single-parent families were significantly worse in school achievement and study habits than children in traditional nuclear families. Girls obtained higher scores on school achievement and study habits whereas they showed lower scores on problem behaviors than boys. There was also an interaction effect between family structure and gender of child in school achievement.
