XML을 기반으로 하는 가상문서는 인터넷 상의 정보 공유를 가능하게 하여 새로운 지식을 생성할 수 있도록 한다. 가상문서에서는 비정형(텍스트, 이미지, 멀티미디어 데이터)과 준정형(HTML, XML) 데이터를 링크로 연결하여 정보를 제공하고 있다. HTML과 같은 기존의 웹 문서에서는 스크립트나 CGI 같은 것을 통하여 정형 데이터(데이터베이스)의 정보를 제공하고 있으므로 가상문서에서도 자연스럽게 정형 데이터를 연결하여 사용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 도서관 시스템에서 정형 데이터를 지원하기 위해 질의 링크를 포함하는 가상문서를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있도록 데이터베이스를 설계 및 구현하며, 데이터베이스 스키마 정보를 관리하여 필요한 데이터베이스를 검색하여 질의 링크의 생성을 돕도록 하였다.

The importance of EDI is growing more and more as the trend of E-Commerce is changing to B2B from B2C. So far WEB-EDI system using HTML has substituted for existing traditional VAN-EDI system. But the critical problem of WEB-EDI is that integrating among the internal systems in the company is difficult. In this paper we suggests a method for integrating the internal data and thus internal systems by using XML, a second generation markup language.

HTML로 표현된 양식은 데이터 모델을 포함하고 있지 않기 때문에 종이 양식과 같은 전자상거래 레코드를 구성하기 어렵다. XML로 양식을 표현하기 위한 노력은 XFDL이 대표적이다. 전자상거래 언어로서 XFDL의 가치는 데이터, 표현, 계산규칙, 의미 등에 대한 정보를 단일한 XML 문서에 통합하는 능력이 있다. XFDL은 고품질의 배치(Layout), 문서화(Documentation) 지원, 통합 계산, 입력 검증, 복수의 중첩되는 디지털 서명, 감사가 가능한 거래 레크드 등을 지원한다. 그러나, 이러한 특징을 갖는 XFDL은 내용과 표현을 분리하고자 하는 W3C의 정책과는 괴리가 있다. XForms는 HTML 양식의 한계점을 개선하기 위해서 W3C에서 활발히 추진되고 있는 XML기반의 차세대 양식이다. 핵심 아이디어는 사용자 인터페이스와 표현을 데이터 모델과 논리로부터 분리시켜서, 하나의 폼을 이동단말, 텔레비전, PC등 다양한 용도로 사용할 수 있도록 지원한다는 점이다. 이 논문에서는 차세대의 양식 표준으로 예상되는 XForms를 중심으로 기업간의 양식 처리를 위한 방안에 대하여 논한다.

XML은 웹 상에서 데이터의 원활한 교환을 위해서 HTML을 보완하여 설계된 차세대 인터넷문서작성용언어이다. XML 문서와 같은 반구조(semistructured) 의 특성을 갖는 데이터를 효과적으로 다루기 위한 새로운 데이터모델과 질의어가 제안되어 오고 있지만, 여기서는 관계형 데이터베이스에 XML 문서를 효과적으로 저장하는 방법에 관해서 논의한다. 먼저, 도서를 표현하는 XML 문서를 위한 DTD를 제시하고, 이 DTD를 관계 테이블로 변환하는 방법을 논의한다. 다음에는 Oracle서 지원하는 XDK를 이용하여 XML문서를 Oracle8i DB에 저장하는 방법에 대해서 논의한다.

XML은 W3C에서 권고안으로 채택됨으로써, 이를 바탕으로한 CDF, RDF, WIDL, WebBroker 등과 같은 많은 웹 어플리케이션들이 개발되고 있다. XML은 HTML과 같은 단일하고 고정적인 문서 구조에서 벗어나서 자신만의 구조를 가지는 문서를 작성할 수 있도록 해준다. 또한 문서의 내용과 그 내용의 표현이 분리되어 있어, 원 문서의 내용을 변화시키지 않고도 여러 가지 형식으로 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 확장된 기능을 가지는 XML 문서를 보다 직관적이고 시각적으로 편집할 수 있는 XML 편집기를 제안한다. 본 시각적 XML을 기반으로 하는 다양한 문서를 편집하는데 범용적으로 사용될 수 있다.

For effective web-based teaching and learning, it is necessary to estimate. whether activities for it have attained to the learning goal. In HTML and file based item pool systems, it is difficult to manage, to create questions into various forms, and to share with other systems. It is also not easy to provide suitable questions according to the level of learners. On the contrary, XML document can systematically create a structured information. Since XML represents a structure with meaningful information units, it can be effectively used to manage, search, and store documents. Therefore, we designed and implemented a web-based item pool system based on XML, which can support leveled assessment by analyzing the level of learners and providing appropriate questions according to it.

대부분의 전자상거래 시스템이 유선 인터넷과 HTML(Hypertext Markup Language)을 기반으로 하고 있다. 그러나, 무선 단말기의 대량 보급으로 무선 인터넷이 인터넷의 새로운 패러다임을 주도하고 있으며, 효율적인 전자상거래를 위하여 HTML기반의 시스템이 XML(eXtended Markup Language) 기반으로 대치되는 과정에 있다. 무선 인터넷은 이동전화나 PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) 등 소형 무선 단말기 상에서 인터넷을 이용할 수 있도록 해주는 프로토콜의 총칭으로 정의되는 WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)과 같은 규약을 이용하여 다양한 서비스를 시간 및 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 무선 장치를 통하여 제공한다. 그리고, XML은 정보나 자료를 처리하는 데 있어 공통의 표준을 적용시킬 수 있고, 이 기종 응용프로그램간의 상호 작용을 중대시키고, 조직간에 정보 공유를 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 WAP과 XML의 장점을 결합한 전자상거래 시스템을 소개한다. 제안된 시스템은 WAP을 이용하여 무선뿐만 아니라 유선으로 실시간 정보 공유를 가능하게 하였고, 기존 시스템에서의 데이터베이스 시스템을 XML데이터로 대체시킴으로 인하여 데이터 저장을 위한 시공간의 비용을 절감시켰다. 뿐만 아니라 XML데이터의 사용으로 메타데이터를 생성 및 가공할 수 있는 방법을 구현하였다.

Especially, it can handle rapidly because of the integration of each other data types that is exchanged. Between each application and system that built at an enterprise in the past. However, W3C had notice to use XSLT(extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation) that is document transformable standard to descript expression information in XML documents because documents of XML only have a logical structure information. It is designed for XML that is developed for data exchange on the internet. Moreover, it is proposed to process and to change as other data type for expression XML documents for user. This thesis design and implement XSLT document editing system transformable as a un data type as a HTML data type applying XSLT at XML and developed the system. It can edit XSLT document that descript expression information in XML document that is used for data editing in the WYSIWYG environment.

본 연구에서는 HTML과 SGML의 장점을 보완하여 만들어진 XML을 이해하는데 필요한 이론적 지식과 이를 이용한 실례로써 가상대학의 강의록의 DTD와 그 관리방법에 대해서 기술하였다.
