The purpose of this study is to investigate treatment efficiency in dyeing wastewater treatment by the high rate aeration system(HRA) and a combination of the HRA with magnetized wastewater treatment system(MWS). At the hydraulic retention time of 16hr, 24hr, 30hr, BOD removal efficiencies of HRA system were 93%, 96% and 98%, combination of the HRA with MWS system were 94%, 96.8% and 98.2%, respectively. In ease of COD, at the hydraulic retention time of 16hr, 24hr, 30hr, COD removal efficiencies of HRA system were 66%, 77.1% and 83.1%, combination of the HRA with MWS system were 70.2%, 80.1% and 86.6%, respectively. The comparison of the HRA and combination of the HRA with MWS, effluent BOD of the former was 22.7mg/${\ell}$ and the latter was 19.4mg/${\ell}$, theretore biological treatment efficiency identified to increase by the MWS.
Zoysia japonica를 부위별로 나누어서 그들간의 amylase와 nitrate reductase의 활성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. Amylase의 활성은 관부에서 8.36~9.46 unit/mg.rotein/hr.로 가장 높았고 이삭에서 2.04 unit/mg.rotein/hr.
This paper presents a case study of an enhanced geothermal system(EGS) demonstration project conducted in $Gro{\ss}$$Sch{\ddot{o}}nebeck$, Northerm Germany, focusing on hydraulic stimulation. The project was conducted with doublet system in sandstone and volcanic formations at 4 - 4.4 km depth. Under normal faulting to strike-slip faulting stress regime, hydraulic stimulations were conducted at injection and production wells by massive waterfrac and gel-proppant fracturing. Injectivity index increased from $0.97m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $7.5m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ and productivity index increased from $2.4m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $10.1m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ by a series of hydraulic stimulations at both wells. After circulation tests through injection and production wells, however, productivity index decreased from $8.9m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ to $0.6m^3/(hr^*MPa)$ in two years. Slip tendency analysis for the stimulation in volcanic layer estimated the required pressure for shear slip and its preferred orientations and it showed reasonable match with actual stimulation results. Through the microseismicity observation for the stimulation of volcanic formation, only 80 seismic events with its moment magnitudes in -1.8<$M_W$<-1.0 were observed, which are unexpectedly low for EGS hydraulic stimulation.
Possibility of two phase reduction of carbonyl compounds to the corresponding alcohols was studied. Thus the 0.5 M ether solutions of the representative carbonyl compounds were treated with alkaline stabilized sodium borohydride aqueous solution at room temperature. Butyraldehyde was reduced rapidly within one hr., whereas other aldehydes tested; heptaldehyde, benzaldehyde, and 1-naphthaldehyde were reduced in 6-12 hr. 2-Heptanone was reduced much slowly; 87% in 48 hr., however, acetophenone was reduced moderately; 92% in 12 hr. and cycloalkanones were reduced rapidly (cyclohexanone in 0.5 hr., and cyclopentanone in 3-6 hr.).
This study aimed to determine whether smoking affects the metabolic syndrome and its components through long-term follow-up. Of the 10,030 cohort subjects in the community-based Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study (KoGES) from 2001 to 2018, 2,848 people with metabolic syndrome and 4,854 people with insufficient data for analysis were excluded for this study. The study population comprised 2,328 individuals (1,123 men, 1,205 women) who were eligible for inclusion. The mean age of the participants was 49.2±7.5 years, and 21.9% were current smoker. In log rank test, current smoker had a significantly higher cumulative incidence of metabolic syndrome compared with non smoker (P<0.001). In the Cox proportional hazards model adjusted for key variables, metabolic syndrome (hazard ratio [HR] 1.57, P<0.001), high fasting glucose (HR 1.40, P<0.01), hypertriglyceridemia (HR 1.60, P<0.001), low HDL-cholesterol (HR, 1.30, P<0.01), and abdominal obesity (HR 1.32, P<0.01) in current smoker compared with non smoker were statistically significant, respectively, but not hypertension (HR 1.00, P>0.05). After adjustment for confounders, the time (P-time<0.001) and group (P-group<0.001) effects on metabolic syndrome score change were statistically significant. Furthermore, the interaction analysis of time and smoking group on the change in metabolic syndrome score was statistically significant (P-interaction<0.001). In long-term follow-up, smoking worsens metabolic syndrome.
To produce the instant marsh calm(Corbicula elatior) soup with abundant taste and flavor. optimum conditions of heating temperature and time for extraction were investigated. Excretion rate in a pre-treatment for excretion of estuary was 82% at 15% salt concentration for 6 hr and 95% at pH 7.5 for 10 hr. The contents of glycogen and amino-nitrogen were the most high levels in the treatments extracted at 9$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 hr, at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 1.5 hr and at 11$0^{\circ}C$for 1 hr. The contents of total free amino acids in the extracts treated at 9$0^{\circ}C$, 10$0^{\circ}C$ and 11$0^{\circ}C$ were 367.05mg/100g, 472.23 mg/100g and 463.54 mg/100g, respectively and optimal temperature was above 10$0^{\circ}C$. The mineral contents was the most high level for the extract treated at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 1.5hr. The results of sensory evaluation showed that tastes for the marsh calm extracts had no significant discrimination, while external appearances and flavors for the extract done at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 1.5 hr were excellent. The extracts at 10$0^{\circ}C$ showed a little dark color and those at 9$0^{\circ}C$ smell a little fish flavor.
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of assay error for improved pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation of vancomycin on the Bayesian and nonlinear least squares regression analysis in 24 Korean gastric cancer patients. Vancomycin 1.0 g was administered intravenously over 1 hr every 12 hr. Three specimens were collected at 72 hr after the first dose from all patients at the following times, at 0.5 hr before regularly scheduled infusion, at 0.5 hr and 2 hr after the end of 1 hr infusion. Serum vancomycin levels were analyzed by fluorescence polarization immunoassay technique with TDX-FLX. The standard deviation (SD) of the assay over its working range had been determined at the serum vancomycin concentrations of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and $120{\mu}g/ml$ in quadruplicate. The polynomial equation of vancomycin assay error was found to be SD $({\mu}g/ml)=0.0224+0.0540C+0.00173C^2$ ($R^2=0.935$). There were differences in the influence of weight with vancomycin assay error on pharmacokinetic parameters of vancomycin using the nonlinear least squares regression analysis but there were no differences on the Bayesian analysis. This polynomial equation can be used to improve the precision of fitting of pharmacokinetic models to optimize the process of model simulation both for population and for individualized pharmacokinetic models. The result suggests the improvement of dosage regimens for the better and safer care of patients receiving vancomycin.

Background: The turnover rate of nurse aides in Taiwan is high. However, the predictors of turnover behavior in the newly employed are still unclear. Objective: To examine the predictors of turnover behavior in newly employed licensed nurse aides. Methods: A longitudinal study design was used and subjects were newly employed certified nurse aides from a nurse aid training association in Taiwan. A total of five questionnaire surveys were conducted. The questionnaire was mainly used to collect information on turnover behavior, personal socioeconomic background, workplace psychosocial hazards, worker health hazards, and musculoskeletal disorders. Results: A total of 300 participants were recruited in the study. Cox regression analysis results showed that short working experience (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.21, p < 0.01), work as non-home nurse aides (HR = 0.58, p = 0.01), low monthly salary (HR = 0.68, p < 0.01), high work mental load (HR = 1.01, p = 0.01), low workplace justice (HR = 0.97, p < 0.01), high workplace violence (HR = 1.60, p < 0.01), high burnout (HR = 1.01, p = 0.04), poor mental health (HR = 1.06, p = 0.04), and high total number of musculoskeletal disorder sites (HR = 1.08, p = 0.01) contribute to a higher risk of turnover. Conclusion: The results indicated that employment period, work as a home nurse aide, monthly salary, work mental load, workplace justice, workplace violence, work-related burnout, mental health, and total number of musculoskeletal disorder sites are predictors of turnover behavior in newly employed certified nurse aides.

Cooling rate shows the highest as about 0.7$^{\circ}C$/hr on spring season and the lowest as about 0.3$^{\circ}C$/hr on september at plain place. The correlation coefficient between net radiation and cooling rate from sunrise to sunset was 0.63$^{**}$, It became higher to 0.90$^{**}$ when the wind speed decreased lower than 0.5 m/sec, and it decreased as the wind speed increased. On a clear and calm day, cooling rates were observed as 1.4$^{\circ}C$/hr on the plain (site 1, 2, 3), 1.2$^{\circ}C$/hr on the slope (site 4, 5) and 0.6$^{\circ}C$/hr on the top of mountain (site 6). In condition of the wind speed is 1.2~2 m/sec on a clear and calm day and the temperature on the top of mountain is lower than that of slope and plain, the temperature on the slope (site 4,5) was increased unlike our expectation.ion.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of different types of complications on long-term survival following total gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: A total of 926 patients who underwent total gastrectomy between 2008 and 2016 were included. Patients were divided into the morbidity and no-morbidity groups, and long-term survival was compared between the 2 groups. The prognostic impact of postoperative morbidity was assessed using a multivariate Cox proportional hazard model, which accounted for other prognostic factors. In the multivariate model, the effects of each complication on survival were analyzed. Results: A total of 229 patients (24.7%) developed postoperative complications. Patients with postoperative morbidity showed significantly worse overall survival (OS) (5-year, 65.0% vs. 76.7%, P<0.001) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) (5-year, 74.2% vs. 83.1%, P=0.002) compared to those without morbidity. Multivariate analysis adjusting for other prognostic factors showed that postoperative morbidity remained an independent prognostic factor for OS (hazard ratio [HR], 1.442; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.136-1.831) and CSS (HR, 1.463; 95% CI, 1.063-2.013). There was no significant difference in survival according to the severity of complications. The following complications showed a significant association with unfavorable long-term survival: ascites (HR, 1.868 for OS, HR, 2.052 for CSS), wound complications (HR, 2.653 for OS, HR, 2.847 for CSS), and pulmonary complications (HR, 2.031 for OS, HR, 1.915 for CSS). Conclusions: Postoperative morbidity adversely impacted survival following total gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Among the different types of complications, ascites, wound complications, and pulmonary complications exhibited significant associations with long-term survival.
