  • In this paper, we propose a band rejection filter (BRF) with a state variable filter (SVF) structure to effectively remove the influence of 60 Hz line frequency noise introduced into the sensor system. The conventional BRF of the SVF structure uses an additional operational amplifier (OPAMP) to add a low pass filter (LPF) output and a high pass filter (HPF) output or an input signal and a band pass filter. Therefore, the notch frequency and the notch depth that determine the signal attenuation of the BRF greatly depend on the tolerance of the resistors used to obtain the sum or difference of the signals. On the other hand, in the proposed BRF, since the BRF output is formed naturally within the SVF structure, there is no need for a combination between each port. The notch frequency of the proposed BRF is 59.99 Hz, and it can be confirmed that it is not affected at all by the tolerance of the resistor through the Monte Carlo simulation results. The notch depth also has an average of -42.54dB and a standard deviation of 0.63dB, confirming that normal operation as a BRF is possible. Also, with the proposed BRF, noise filtering was applied to the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal that interfered with 60 Hz noise, and it was confirmed that the 60 Hz noise was appropriately suppressed.

  • In this paper, we developed HPF (high pass filter) consisted of lumped LC components to decrease the noises that are detected in PD (partial discharge) measuring test, and adapted it to field test. We tested under laboratory circumstances like the fields, and measured the phase change properties of detected signal in UHF sensor with Lemke probe and oscilloscope (TDS-3054, Tektronix).

  • An Ultra-WideBand(UWB) Low-Noise Amplifier(LNA) is proposed and is implemented in a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The proposed UWB LNA provides excellent wideband characteristics by combining a High-Pass Filter (HPF) with a conventional resistive-loaded LNA topology. In the proposed UWB LNA, the bell-shaped gain curve of the overall amplifier is much less dependent on the frequency response of the HPF embedded in the input stage. In addition, the adoption of fewer on-chip inductors in the input matching network permits a lower noise figure and a smaller chip area. Measurement results show a power gain of + 10 dB and an input return loss of more than - 9 dB over 2.7 to 6.2 GHz, a noise figure of 3.1 dB at 3.6 GHz and 7.8 dB at 6.2 GHz, an input PldB of - 12 dBm, and an IIP3 of - 0.2 dBm, while dissipating only 4.6 mA from a 1.8-V supply.

  • Thermal infrared images have the characteristic of being able to detect objects that can not be seen with the naked eye and have the advantage of easily obtaining information of inaccessible areas. However, TIR (Thermal InfraRed) images have a relatively low spatial resolution. In this study, the applicability of the pansharpening algorithm used for satellite imagery on images acquired by the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) was tested. RGB image have higher spatial resolution than TIR images. In this study, pansharpening algorithm was applied to TIR image to create the images which have similar spatial resolution as RGB images and have temperature information in it. Experimental results show that the pansharpening algorithm using the PC1 band and the average of RGB band shows better results for the quantitative evaluation than the other bands, and it has been confirmed that pansharpening results by ATWT (${\grave{A}}$ Trous Wavelet Transform) exhibit superior spectral resolution and spatial resolution than those by HPF (High-Pass Filter) and SFIM (Smoothing Filter-based Intensity Modulation) pansharpening algorithm.

  • In this study, we utilized the duty factor of the transition frequency modulation (TFM) for the illumination control of the light emitting diode (LED) light in visible light communication (VLC). The average optical power is linearly proportional to the duty factor in TFM waveforms. We used the transition frequencies of Na=5 and Nb=1 for the high and the low bits, respectively, of the non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data in the VLC transmitter. A resistor and capacitor high-pass filter (HPF) was used in the VLC receiver to eliminate the 120 Hz optical noise from adjacent lighting lamps and the spikes at the HPF output were used to recover NRZ data from the TFM waveform. In experiments, the illumination of the LED light was controlled in the range of 25-90% of the constant-wave optical power by changing the duty factor of the TFM waveforms.

  • Against advanced image-related crimes, a high level of digital forensic methods is required. However, feature-based methods are difficult to respond to new device features by utilizing human-designed features, and deep learning-based methods should improve accuracy. This paper proposes a deep learning model to identify camera models based on DenseNet, the recent technology in the deep learning model field. To extract camera sensor features, a HPF feature extraction filter was applied. For camera model identification, we modified the number of hierarchical iterations and eliminated the Bottleneck layer and compression processing used to reduce computation. The proposed model was analyzed using the Dresden database and achieved an accuracy of 99.65% for 14 camera models. We achieved higher accuracy than previous studies and overcome their disadvantages with low accuracy for the same manufacturer.

  • In this paper, a diplexer circuit to separate GSM from CDMA band is designed using a LTCC (Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic) multi-layer technology. In order to increase a integration capability of the diplexer, it is designed using 3-dimensional (3-D) multi-layer compact inductor and capacitors in e-layer LTCC substrate with a relative dielectric constant of 7. In order to achieve high selectivity of the bands, a shunt capacitor and inductor are designed in the high-pass filter (HPF) and low-pass filter (LPF), respectively. The size of the fabricated diplexer including CPW pads is 3,450 ${\times}$4,000 ${\times}$694 ${\mu}m^3$An insertion loss (IL) and return loss in GSM band are less than -1.35dB and more than -5.66dB,respectively. In the case of CDMA band, the IL of -1.54dBandRLof above -9.30dBare archived.

  • This paper proposes the design and measurement of a 6-18 GHz front-end receiver module that has been combined into a one- channel output from a two-channel input for electronic warfare support measures (ESM) applications. This module includes a limiter, high-pass filter (HPF), power combiner, equalizer and amplifier. This paper focuses on the design aspects of reducing the noise figure (NF) and matching the phase and amplitude. The NF, linear equalizer, power divider, and HPF were considered in the design. A broadband receiver based on a combined configuration used to obtain low NF. We verify that our receiver module improves the noise figure by as much as 0.78 dB over measured data with a maximum of 5.54 dB over a 6-18 GHz bandwidth; the difference value of phase matching is within $7^{\circ}$ between ports.
