제올라이트에 의한 농약의 흡착

  • Adsorption of the pesticides (phosphamidon, fenitrothion, triadimefon and diniconazole) in natural zeolite (CL $I_{N}$) and several synthetic zeolites was incestigated. The pesticides were not adsorbed on zeolites (Na-Pl, SOD, ANA, JBW and CAN) synthesized from Jeju scoria. The distribution coefficient ( $K_{D}$) and the Freundlich constant ( $K_{F}$) decreased in the following sequences. FC $C_{W}$ (waste catalytic cracking catalyst)>FA $U_{F}$ (FAU Synthesized from coal fly ash)>(FAU+Na-Pl)$_{SF}$ (the mixture of FAU and Na-Pl synthesized from the ratio of Jeju scoria 6 to coal fly ash 4 by weight)>CL $I_{N}$ among the zeolites; diniconazole>fenitrothion> triadimefon>phosphamidon. As the temperature was increased, the amount of pesticide adsorbed per unit mass of zeolite increased for FC $C_{W}$, FA $U_{F}$ and (FAU+Na-Pl)$_{SF}$ but it decreased for CL $I_{N}$, for all the pesticides used in this study. It was independent of pH for phosphamidon, fenitrothion and triadimefon, but decresed as pH was increased for all the zeolites used in this study.y.udy.y.y.y.y.y.y.

국산(國産) Zeolite를 이용(利用)한 중금속(重金屬) 폐수(廢水) 처리공정(處理工程) 연구(硏究) - Batch Test를 중심(中心)으로 - (Heavy Metal Wastewater Treatment (Batch Mode) by Domestic Zeolite)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 국산천연(國産天然) 제오라이트를 이용한 중금속(重金屬) 산업폐수(產業廢水) 처리공정(處理工程)을 개발(開發)할 목적(目的)으로 수행(遂行)되었으며 본 논문에서는 1차적으로 알카리 처리된 제오라이트를 이용하여 Batch Test를 통한 기초실험(基礎實驗) 결과(結果)를 수록하였다. 제오라이트에 의한 중금속 흡착(吸着)공정에 미치는 pH의 영향(影響), 흡착 Isotherm Model 결정, 흡착속도 및 온도(溫度)의 영향을 중점적으로 평가분석(評價分析)하였으며 그 결과 최적(最適) pH는 4~5이상, 카드미움 흡착은 BET Model이 적합하며, 반응시간(反應時間)은 10분 이상이 소요됨을 알았으며 또한 온도가 증가하면 비례하여 흡착능(吸着能)도 증가하므로서 단순한 물리흡착(物理吸着)만이 아닌 화학흡착(化學吸着)도 병행하여 일어나고 있다고 판단된다. 본 연구 결과로 판단컨대, 국산 천연 제오라이트를 이용한 중금속 폐수처리는 그 전망이 밝으며 앞으로 Column Test를 통하여 합성(合成)폐수는 물론 실제폐수의 처리도(處理度)를 실험하므로서 처리공정설계 조건을 도출할 수 없으며 이와 같은 공정의 개발로서 우리나라의 중금속 폐수처리에 획기적인 공헌이 기대된다.

  • In line with the Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) regulation, the main idea in this study has been focused on the utilization of hydrocarbon adsorber (HCA) to adsorb the excess hydrocarbons emitted during a period of engine cold-start, As main recipes of HCA materials, many types of zeolite as well as the combination of alumina and precious metals were used, Representative physico-chemical factors of zeolite such as acidic and hydrophobic properties were characterized. The optimum recipe of HCA materials was also determined. Among the acid properties of zeolites, the Si/Al ratio was found to be the most important factor to get higher hydrocarbon adsorption capacity.

제주 화산석으로부터 합성한 Na-A 제올라이트에 의한 Cu 이온의 흡착 특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Cu Ions by Zeolite Na-A Synthesized from Jeju Volcanic Rocks)

  • The adsorption characteristics of Cu ions were studied using the zeolite Na-A synthesized from Jeju volcanic rocks. The effects of various operating parameters such as initial concentration of Cu ions, contact time, solution pH, and solution temperature were investigated in batch experiments. The adsorption of Cu ions by Na-A zeolite was fitted well by pseudo-second-order kinetics and the Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacity determined using the Langmuir isotherm model was 152.95 mg/g. In addition, the adsorption of Cu ions by zeolite Na-A was primarily controlled by particle diffusion model in comparison with the film diffusion model. As the temperature increased from 303 K to 323 K, ${\Delta}G^o$ decreased from -2.22 kJ/mol to -3.41 kJ/mol, indicating that the adsorption of Cu ions by Na-A zeolite is spontaneous process.

광산 용출에 의한 Builder급 Zeolite점토 합성법 (Improved Clay Process for Builder-grade Zeolite Synthesis by Acidic Benification)

  • From leaching of Korean native halloysite with hot sulfuric acid, active species of siliceous aluminosilicate are obtained as residue, which gives the mole ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 10 and substantially removes most acid-soluble impurities. By dissolving the residue in sodium hydroxide at an ambient temperature sodium silicate solution is prepared, this is used for zeolite synthesis as one of starting materials. In order to prepare zeolite Type 4A thereform, addition of a proper aluminum source is made so that the composition of the reactant materials may be of the following mole ratios : Na2O/SiO2=1.2-1.5, SiO2/Al2O3=1.8-2.0 and H2O/Na2O=34-45 By careful control of ageing time and temperature, subsequent crystal growth is induced into microfine zeolite 4A, which gives optimum particle size distributjion being suitable for detergent builder. The zeolite products thus obtained and highly competitive with those from the use of the refined clay in comparison of their calcium exchange capacity, whiteness and particle size distribution. The present method shows a marginal advantage over the existing procedures requiring neitherseparate purification nor calcinating otherwise necessary for the raw clay ores in use.

천연 벤토나이트로부터 합성된 제올라이트 A의 특성 (Properties of Zeolite A Synthesized by Natural Bentonite)

  • 경북 감포지역에서 산출되는 천연 벤토나이트를 이용하여 제올라이트를 합성하였으며 세제용 builder로서 가능성을 연구하였다. 최적의 합성조건은 기질의 몰비가 SiO$_2$/Al$_2$O$_3$=2, $Na_2$O$_3$/Al$_2$O$_3$=1, $H_2O$/A1$_2$O$_3$=30이고 9$0^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 반응시킬 경우였고, 이 조건에서는 A형 제올라이트가 합성되는 것을 XRD를 통하여 확인하였다. 최적 조건에서 합성된 제올라이트의 이온교환능을 측정하기 위하여 경도 40$^{\circ}$Dh의 CaCl$_2$용액과 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 IS분 접촉시킨 결과 264.9mg CaO/g-zeolite 정도로 우수한 값을 나타내었다. 이 시료의 백색도는 89%이었고, 평균 입자크기는 9.95$\mu\textrm{m}$이었다.

화력발전소에서 발생하는 석탄비산재로부터 합성한 Na-A 제올라이트의 Sr 이온 제거 특성 (Removal Characteristics of Sr Ion by Na-A Zeolite Synthesized using Coal Fly Ash Generated from a Thermal Power Plant)

  • This study evaluates the adsorption properties of Sr ions in an aqueous solution of the synthetic zeolite (Z-Y1) prepared using coal fly ash generated from a thermal power plant. In order to investigate the adsorption characteristics, the effects of various parameters such as the initial concentrations of Sr ion, contact time, and solution pH were investigated in a batch mode. The Langmuir and Redlich-Peterson model fitted the adsorption isotherm data better than the Freundlich model. The maximum adsorption capacity of Sr ions, as determined the Langmuir model, was 181.68 mg/g. It was found that by varying the Sr ion concentration, pH, and temperature, the pseudo-second-order kinetic model describes the adsorption kinetics of the Sr ion better than the pseudo-first-order kinetic model. The calculated thermodynamic parameters of ${\Delta}H^0$ and ${\Delta}G^0$ showed that the adsorption of Sr ions on Z-Y1 was occurred through a spontaneous and an endothermic reaction. We found that the adsorption of Sr ions by Z-Y1 was more affected by pH than by temperature and Sr ion concentration.

  • The mineralogical properties of natural zeolite comixed with montmorillonite were investigated by the chemical composition analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. The experimental results on the removal of heavy metal ions by using the natural sample are summerized as follows. The removal of the heavy metal in solution is greatly influenced by the pH. Also, the removal capacity of heavy metal ions by zeolite and montmorillonite have increased in order of $Cu^{2+}>Cd^{2+}>Ni^{2+}$.

Synthesis and Morphological Transformation of NaA Zeolite Crystals at High Temperature

  • Well-shaped NaA zeolite cubic crystals of a large size of $5-7{\mu}m$ were synthesized by a hydrothermal method in a mother solution having a $3.55Na_2O:Al_2O_3:1.6SiO_2:593\~2000H_2O$ composition. Thermal treatment of NaA zeolite crystals resulted in the formation of a crystalline phase of $NaAlSiO_4-Camegeite$ between 800 and $900^{\circ}C$. Even at $1000^{\circ}C,\;NaAlSiO_4$ phase was found as a major product. Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy (ESEM), High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM), X-Ray powder Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and DTA/TGA and BET analyses were used to characterize the initial materials and the obtained products after various heat treatments.

  • We confirm that when A-type zeolite supporting silver lone is placed in ion-exchanged distilled water, silver ions is eluted and eluted silver ions generates hydroxyl-radical (.OH) and hydro-radical (.H) continuously, the amount of those is proportion to the silver-ion concentration. Hydroxyl-radical is not generated by super-oxide anion-radical (.O2) but by directly dissolved water. To know such a above discussed mechanism, we prepare A-type zeolite supporting silver ions, and measure the amount of the eluted silver tons by atomic absorption spectroscopy and the generated radical by ESR The radical generated by A-type zeolite supporting silver ions is discussed in the application of elecrical and electronic materials.
