  • The purpose of this study is to investigate consumer perception and importance of food tourism properties and performance of the properties in Sangju province of Gyeongsangbuk-do. The study has found that persons who have food tourism experiences (75 persons, 50.7%) had slightly more than not experience persons (72 persons, 48.6%). Additionally, most of the respondents were usually satisfied with the local foods. Also, it was found that food tourism had been taken 1-2 times per 6 months (48 persons, 64.0%) on average, and 135 persons (91.2%) had intention of experiencing food tourism. According to the result of Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) on consumers' food tourism properties, high importance was on 'There are attractive landscapes.' ($4.52\;{\pm}\;0.56$), 'Accommodations with reasonable price.' ($4.18\;{\pm}\;0.80$), and 'The food of the area is famous.' ($4.15\;{\pm}\;0.73$); and the properties such as 'There are local specialty shops or markets selling local produce.' ($3.03\;{\pm}\;0.83$), 'The climate is temperate.' ($3.03\;{\pm}\;0.87$), and 'There are attractive landscapes.' ($3.02\;{\pm}\;0.98$) showed average performance. A factor analysis about consumers' importances to the food tourism properties shows that the factors were divided into four kinds and each of the factors were named as 'convenience-stable propensity', 'valued-oriented propensity', 'adventurous-aggressive propensity' and 'traditional-active propensity'. Variance ratios of each factor were 22.319%, 10.286%, 8.723% and 6.239%, respectively. According to the result of a reliability analysis, Cronbach's alpha value was 0.8621, implying that reliability of each item was very high. Therefore, it is considered that development of food tourism products and promotion strategies therefore should be designed based on the importance of food tourism properties hereafter.

Many studies have found physical conditions affecting tourists' intention to revisit. The study examines the determinants of tourist's revisit intention in terms of tourists' psychological and behavioral elements such as satisfaction and motivation. The data used for the statistical analyses were from a survey targeting people living in Daegu and Pusan metropolitan cities and some cities of Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do provinces in Korea. The study employs regression analysis to investigate the effect of satisfaction and motivations on tourists' revisit intention. As the results of OLS regression analysis, satisfaction, push and pull motivation are predictors of tourists' revisit intention. It shows that tourists' psychological and behavioral factors have a significant impact on tourists' revisit intention. The study suggests the implications for enhancing tourists' revisit intention by motivating tourists' psychological and behavioral needs.

  • The wetlands have functions those were retention of diverse biota, purification of water quality, control of climate and flood, eco-tourism and supply of agricultural water, and that was the ecosystem of high biodiversity as the zone of transition between inland and water. Therefore, this study showed the conservation and management plan by analyzing in the abiotic and biotic environment of forest swamp, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The results were as follows. Examining the management plan of the abiotic environment, there will need to establish the hydrological plan in continuous expediting the supply of water to maintain a humid soil of swamp, and to try to find the organic farming, use of low toxic agrichemicals and so on to prevent occurring a non-point source pollutants. To prevent changing the flowing of ground water and inflow of earth and sand in modifying the land character, there will be needed to restrict the construction of farmland and slope around swamp. To manage the biotic environment, there needed to offer the habitat by removing the regular interval and individual of a dead tree, and to improve the growth environment of vegetation. Because the naturalized plants disturb the natural vegetation, they will be removed. The afforested trees like Robinia pseudoacacia and Amorpha truticosa will be renewed to prevent the heterogeneity of landscape ecology, and the active conservation plan on wetland species will be established. As this study was carried out to study on the partial swamp, Gyeongsanbuk-do, the ecological environments distributing a swamp in Korea show a some problem. In the future, the study will accomplish to study the accurately and objectively ecological environment and management of a swamp by analyzing the extensive sites.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the conceptional structure of residents' perception among tourism development impacts (economic benefits, social and environmental impact), community attachment and attitudes towards the effects of Baekdudaegan tourism development. This paper was adopted LISREL (linear structural relationships) approach, covariance structural equation model, to provided some insights on tourism development. Data of 356 were collected from Youngu and Mungyeong cities surrounding Baekdudaegan in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The results indicate that perceived economic benefits are rather greater impacts on attitudes than perceived social and environmental ones directly and indirectly. Also, perceived social impacts influence community attachment, however, perceived economic benefits and environmental impacts do not influence community attachment directly. Finally results reveal that the attitudes for supporting tourism development were found positively influenced by the identity of community attachment. Differently social exchange theory, the results suggested that residents' attitudes towards Baekdudaegan tourism development perceived positive strongly even a non related tourism resident.

The weighted evaluation was carried out into pixel units and the scores of every 'myeon' were compared with each others. As a result, the area that has the 'Dak-sil-ma-eul' village in Bonghwa-eup got the highest score. When compared every 'myeon' in mean scores, Bonghwa-eup got the first grade, Socheon-myeon the second grade and Choonyang-myeon the third grade. In a comprehensive view, the areas that got higher scores were the lower flat areas and the 'Dak-sil-ma-eul' village in Bonghwa-eup, north-east areas in Choonyang-myeon, north-west areas and south-east areas in Socheon-myeon. In this study, resource evaluation using indicator system and GIS was implemented, and some problems that appeared in this process were resolved.
