네일 건(Nail Gun) 사고에 의한 경부 관통상 1례 (A Case Study of a Patient with Penetrating Neck Injuries caused by a Nail Gun)

  • Powered by compressed air, a nail gun is an essential alternative tool to a hammer on any construction site. This useful machine launches nails at high speed, automatically embedding them in a piece of wood in only a fraction of a second. In spite of its convenience, life-threatening and fatal nail gun injuries can occur when a nail gun is misused, such as in a suicide attempt, or when the operator has insufficient training because combustion nail guns are capable of firing projectiles at velocities higher than 150 m per second. Although injuries by nail guns are rarely reported, there have been reports of nail gun injuries to the head and the trachea in Korea. In the emergency room, the authors experienced a patient injured by an accidental shooting of a nail gun while working in construction. In that accident, a nail penetrated the patient's cervical vertebra through the left cheek. This report is aimed at studying medical treatment for patients with penetrating injuries caused by nail guns.

  • 화약류는 위험성이 상존하는 물질로서 안전관리를 위한 많은 노력이 필요하다. 화약류와 관련된 안전사고와 범죄악용 사례가 반복적으로 발생하고 있으며 최근에는 사제폭탄의 원료로 이용되는 등 그 위험성은 더욱 증대되는 추세라 할 수 있다. 한국의 화약류관리에 관한 기본법령은 "총포 도검 화약류 등 단속법"으로 1961년에 제정되어 현재까지 약 20차례의 개정이 이루어져 왔다. 그런데 화약류의 기술적 전문성과 새로운 기법의 개발로 등으로 법령보완의 한계가 내재되어 있고 화약류뿐만 아니라 소위 무기류에 관한 규제사항도 규율하고 있어 법령내용의 복잡성의 문제가 심각한 상황이다. 또한 동 법령의 제정 및 개정과정에서 외국의 입법례에 대한 높은 의존성으로 인해 국내 실무에 대한 반영이 미흡한 상황이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국의 화약류 관리의 역사적 배경과 제정 개정의 연혁을 진단하고 바람직한 대안을 모색하고자 하였다.

경남 서부지역의 중심지 세력권 변화와 주민 통근형태 연구 -진주 도시권지역의 통근-역통근을 중심으로- (The Metropolitan Chinju in Western Kyungnam with Special Reference to the Commuting Areas)

  • 도시세력권은 도시의 인구와 경제규모, 교육 문화 의료시설을 비롯한 제반 서비스기능의 정도 등에 따라 결정되는데, 통근권은 도시세력권을 결정하는 가장 좋은 지표에 속한다. 왜냐하면 통근권은 지역 주민들의 규칙적인 일상생활과 직접적으로 관계되며 매일의 유동량을 정확하게 표현해 주기 때문이다. 본 연구는 경남 서부지역의 중심지 세력권 변화와 이에 따른 주민 통근행태의 성격을 구명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 진주시는 전국 차원에서 보면 지방 중소도시에 지나지 않지만 경남 서부지역에서는 절대적인 중심지 역할을 수행하고 있으며 매우 넓은 세력권을 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 경남 서부지역 중심지들의 세력권을 인구와 산업의 변화를 통하여 고찰하고, 주민들의 통근행태를 주택-인구센서스의 통근-통학자료와 진주시 의료기관의 환자 동계자료 및 초 중등학교 교사들의 통근자료를 통하여 분석한다. 특히 교사들의 통근율에 따른 진주 도시세력권은 진주시로부터의 거리조락성과 도시간의 세력권 경합관계에 따라 결정된다. 경남 서부지역 교사들의 역통근 행태는 학교가 입지한 지역사회의 입장에서는 부정적 영향이 보다 크게 작용하고 있는 것으로 확인된다. 따라서 농어촌의 소규모 중심지들에 대한 각종 서비스시설을 확충함으로써 지역간 균형개발을 도모하여야 할 것이다.

부산시 토양오염 취약지역 등급화를 이용한 우선관리대상 순위 선정 (The Priority Management Ranking by using the Classification of Vulnerable Areas for the Soil Contamination in Busan Metropolitan City)

  • The purpose of this study is to highlight the National Classification System related to cleanup the soil contaminated sites and to provide some guidance to address the priority management rank system before the remediation for Busan metropolitan city. Based on the previous soil investigation data, the quantitative classification of vulnerable areas for soil pollution was performed to successfully manage the contaminated sites in Busan. Ten evaluation factors indicating the high soil pollution possibility were used for the priority management ranking system and 10 point was assigned for each factor which was evenly divided by 10 class intervals. For 16 Gu/Guns in Busan, the score of each evaluation factor was assigned according to the ratio of the area (or the number) between in each Gu (or Gun) and in Busan. Ten scores for each Gu (or Gun) was summed up to prioritize the vulnerable Gu or Guns for soil pollution in Busan. Results will be available to determine the most urgent area to cleanup in each Gu (or Gun) and also to assist the municipal government to design a successful and cost-effective site management strategy in Busan.

야전포병 무기체계의 속도오차 허용한계 (Acceptable Velocity Errors Tolerance For Field Artillery Weapon System)

  • The artillery fire is characterized by great damage that can be inflicted simultaneously to an area through concentrated firing. The field artillery guns used in R.O.K. Army are generally old. Thus high values of their velocity errors cause wide dispersion of shell landings. Therefore effects of the concentrated firing is lessened. In this paper a general model which considers all error factors involved in firing in general, is established first. Then from this a basic model which includes the errors involved in concentrated firing only, such as the ballistic error, velocity error, target density function, and damage function, is extracted. Among many weapon systems now in use a specific one called gun 'A' is selected and its concentration effects are measured through computer simulation. The results show that as the velocity error of a battery increases, its target coverage capability, i. e. concentration effect, decreases. Therefore the need arises for the field artillery commander to know beforehand characteristics, i.e. velocity errors, of the guns in his unit and also to carefully examine the problem of battery arrangement with the gun characteristics in mind in order to maximize the damage effects of his artillery unit.

함정거동을 고려한 대공방어용 함정 탑재 요격탄 조준점 보정 기법 (Aiming Point Correction Technique for Ship-launched Anti-air Missiles Considering Ship Weaving Motion)

  • In order to intercept anti-ship missiles, it is important to accurately predict the aiming point. The major factor for degrading the accuracy of the aiming point is the motions of the warships due to waves. Therefore, a stage of correcting the aiming point is required to compensate for such motions of warships. The proposed aiming point correction technique treats the changes in positions and velocity of naval guns by considering changes in the positions and velocities of the anti-ship missiles. In this paper, a ship motion estimation filter was also constructed to predict the motions of warships at the firing time of naval guns. In the simulation part, finally, the distance errors before and after aiming point corrections were compared through 6-DOF simulations.

시군단위의 불투수면적률과 도시화 지표의 상관성 분석 (Correlation between Impervious Surface Area Rate and Urbanization Indicators at the Si-Gun Level)

  • This study investigated the correlation between impervious surface area rate(ISAR) and various urbanization indicators at the si-gun administrative level. For the years 2017 and 2021, we built correlation matrices to examine the relationships between ISAR and eight urbanization indicators, including total population, working-age population, residential power consumption, non-agricultural power consumption, paved road length, permitted development area, numbers of registered vehicles, and cadastral 'Dae' parcel area. Additionally, K-means clustering was employed to classify the 229 si-guns based on the ISAR change patterns. The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between ISAR and urbanization indicators for both years studied. However, the interannual comparison showed a noticeably weaker correlation between changes in ISAR and urbanization indicators from 2017 to 2021. The K-means analysis also showed that si-guns with higher ISAR values, typically urban areas, demonstrated a weaker correlation, while the cluster consisting mostly of rural areas with lower ISAR displayed stronger correlations. These results suggested that ISAR should be a significant factor for consideration in sustainable rural planning and development strategies.

  • The multistage precision forming process for aperture of electronic guns consists mainly of drawing and swaging operations. The multistage forming sequence is analyzed in view of production industry, and based on the industrial investigation. The processes are simulated by the finite element code MARC. The elastic recovery, strain and stress distribution, and the die forces are summarized.
